A/N: Realised that I screwed up in the last chapter. It contradicted chapter 6, which I have fixed now, so go back and read chapter 6.
Genevieve had since gone home. She left shortly after Hallelujah's celebration of life party. It was weird being at Mount Carmel for her after the prophecy had been fulfilled. But life still had to go on for the people of Mount Carmel.
Charlie is doing much better now. She's back to teaching music lessons again, and not just for the children of Mount Carmel. It's actually opened up to include the children of the people that David gives sermons to.
These people who have been coming from all over to learn the Seven Seals from David, a lot of them have children. Charlie teaches those children too, but still sticks to the same age schedule. She's actually modified the music lessons a little bit to incorporate the teaching of song writing to all children in the age groups of 8-10 year olds, 11-13 year olds, and 14-17, with the optional 18 year olds.
But today was Saturday - the Sabbath.
8 year old Glory Martinez was up in her room working on a song. Or at least trying trying to write a song using Deuteronomy 32, but it wasn't going very well. She was discovering that writing songs was a lot harder than she had previously thought. Her dad and older brother Ramiel made it seem so easy.
Glory groaned as she ripped out another page from her notebook, crumpled the paper into a ball and then chucked it into the corner with the other ten plus wadded up paper balls. Then looked back down at her notebook, staring at the new, blank page. She pouted.
"Oh...that does not look like a happy face." Ray uttered
Glory sighed as she glanced up, "Hi Uncle Ray."
"Why the long face?" He asked
"I can't do it." She complained, "I can't write a song like Daddy or Rami."
Ray stepped into the room, sitting down beside Glory on her bed, "Hmm...this reminds me of when I was making my ATOM suit. I couldn't figure out the shrink ray aspect of it. You know what I did though?"
Glory shook her head, "No."
"I didn't give up." Ray replied, "And I asked for help."
Glory thought about what he was saying, taking in every word, "So...will you help me?"
Ray smiled, "I'm not too sure how big of a help I'll be, but I will try."
"Thanks. You're the best, Uncle Ray."
Meanwhile downstairs with David and Sara, who both had a lot of questions for the other.
Not to mention that not only was David giving Sara a private study, but Sara was also getting to know her boyfriend's adoptive father a lot more personally. And David was getting to know her as well.
"So...how did you and Joseph meet?"
"Well, we met in Metropolis were my family lives. He had a boxing match there about six months ago. I went with my brother, and by God's divine intervention I ran into Joey that night outside after the match. We got to talking, exchanged numbers and kept in touch, talking and texting every chance we could." Sara explained, "When Joey told me that he was going home, I asked him to talk me with him."
David hummed as he gave a nod, "Joseph mentioned that you two have a plan to marry next year when you turn eighteen. Do your parents know that you are here right now? Or where do they think you are?"
"Oh...I'm actually in college. I graduated high school early. I'm a sophomore in college now."
"All right." David replied
Sara huffed, "Okay. Enough about me. What about you? You have twenty-four kids. Does the reason for that relate to the Seven Seals?"
"Oh...you know it does. Would you like to talk about the Seals some more?"
Sara nodded, "Yes, please."
"All right. Let's open our Bibles to Revelation six and read verses twelve through seventeen. Let's see what that says about the sixth seal."
Sara flipped through the pages of the Bible David had given her, going to the end of the book and finding Revelation 6.
Even though, David didn't actually need to open his Bible because he had memorized it, he liked having the Bible open anyways.
"I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair and the moon became like blood." David recited, "Now, the book of Revelation was written by John. One of the twelve disciples." Then he continued onto verses thirteen and fourteen.
Revelation 6:13-14 - And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
He stopped after reading Revelation 6:15, which says: And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
"Everyone hid, huh? Wonder why they did that? Was it because they were scared? Because they knew that they hadn't been good? They hadn't been serving and praising God?" David asked, not because he didn't know the answers, but to get Sara to think. To use her brain.
He moved on to verses sixteen and seventeen, which reads: and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?".
"So they're afraid of their punishment. They're trying to hid from it, but can they hide from God? No, they can't." David said, "All right. Let's not flip to the book of Joel, and see what that says."
Sara flipped to the book of Joel, finding that she was quite enjoying this Bible study. David made the Bible seem so easy to understand. He explained it so well, which was amazing for someone she had learned that dropped out of the ninth grade.
David didn't read through all of the book of Joel, even though it's only three chapters, but he did go over a few verses and point out how they related to the Sixth Seal.
Joel 1:15 was one of the verses, which says: Alas for the day! For the day of the Lord is at hand; It shall come as destruction from the Almighty.
Another verse was Joel 2:1-2, Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, For it is at hand: A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness, Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.
The trumpet mentioned in verse one of Joel two is one of the seven trumpets that's found in the book of Revelation after the Seven Seals.
Other verses include, Joel 2:10-11, 30-32, and Joel 3:15-16.
Sara was learning a lot. That the Bible really was a book of prophecy and that the whole book really is all connected.
Hope you enjoy. Comments are greatly appreciated. In fact, they keep me going.
What would you like to see happen next?
