A little summary from the "Hope From Heaven," story: Jonathan and Mark helped restore a family whose father let rage get the better of him, whose son got so bitter that he turned to evil and Satan and whose mother got so distracted that she was admitted to a mental Hospital crying out for her "Teddy Bear." This story picks up where that one left off.

This Story begins in 1991:
The Highway To Healing:
Jonathan is driving and Mark is just waking up from a nap in the passenger seat and Mark sees a road sign and while yawning Mark says with the car window being down some, "Kentucky? It's been awhile since we've been in Kentucky. Smell that Country air. Johnathan I've been so tired lately hopefully this Country air will rejuvenate me. I remember on my grandad's Farm waking up to Country air. Man I think I could use a cup of coffee."
Jonathan then points to another sign on the side of the road that says, "Tina's Cafe home of the best coffee east of the Mississippi 1 mile."
Jonathan replies, "Ok, buddy cup of coffee coming up."
They sit down at a table and Mark orders a cup of coffee, black and that's all. The waitress asks Jonathan if he needs anything and he says, "No."
When the waitress returns with a cup of coffee Mark takes a couple of sips of coffee and asks so what's the assignment, Kemosabe?"
Jonathan replies, "Do you remember the Roberts family from 4 years ago?"
Mark answers, "Yes, Richard, Susan and Bobby. Richard turned blind, Susan just got out of a mental institution and Bobby got reclaimed from the Devil. How are they?"
Jonathan answers, "Life is about to change for them and they are discouraged. Bobby just graduated High School and he is lost on what to do with his life. He had to start delivering pizza in the evening to pay the bills. Richard is blind and he has no real opportunities for work. Susan can't get a job because of 'mental incompetence as they call it. Bobby should have a chance at life and that's our assignment."
Mark pushes a half-drunk cup of coffee away from him and yawns. Jonathan says, "Hey buddy, you usually get a pile at breakfast and can down 3 cups of coffee but today you can't finish one cup. What's wrong?"
Mark answers, "I don't know, I don't have an appetite and I'm sleepy."
Jonathan says then let's get you to the Doctor."
Mark answers, "I don't want to see a Doctor, I'll be alright. I just been in the city too long. You watch after I soak in this Country air I'll be my old self again that's all I need!"
Jonathan being satisfied with Mark's explanation they leave the restaurant and enter Eddyville Kentucky and find a Hotel. It's now about 8pm and Mark goes straight to bed while Jonathan sits up all night praying for guidance for the Roberts family.
Jonathan doesn't give any second thought to the way Mark feels but there is something wrong.
Mark finally gets up the next day about 9:05 a.m. Jonathan asks Mark did you sleep good?"
Mark responds with stretching and taking in a deep breath verbalizing a sigh of relief and says, "See Jonathan, just country air and I feel great!"
Jonathan and Mark go down to the Hotel's restaurant and Mark orders 6 pancakes, 5 eggs 7 strips of bacon, 4 sausages patties, 2 servings of hash brown and coffee. Jonathan is pleased that Mark is getting his appetite back and says, "I got my old Mark back!"
