One day later

As Darth Saph is kneeling to the hologram of her Sith Master, Emperor Palpatine, she senses the presence of a Jedi on Malachor. The system where Revan's greatest general, the Exile, also known as Meetra Surik, had to cut herself off from the force to survive the activation of the Mass Shadow Generator. Even four thousand years later it's still a kriffing wasteland. As I've become grayer, and less dark, I've been studying Revan more and more. Which Jedi would go to Malachor? And why would they be on that hellhole of a world in the first place.

Only one answer came to mind. The Sith Holocron in the Temple. In order to access it, you were tested by Darth Nyriss to see if you were worthy. I failed once before as a Sith and barely escaped with my life. That was embarrassing, to say the least. Why would a Jedi be trying now to retrieve it? Jedi had tried before and failed, so why try again now.

Finally, she speaks, still kneeling at her Master' feet.

"My Master, I have sensed a Jedi. With your permission I will turn them or kill them." The galaxy should have been mine by now. I was told as a Sith apprentice I would one day rule as Empress, why haven't I been able to kill Palpatine all these years?

Palpatine waits for a moment, then speaks in his low voice, his golden eyes almost piercing through her, "Go, my Apprentice." The call ends, and Darth Saph now needs to go catch a Jedi. Maybe, I'll finally get a break after this one is caught.

She walks towards her shuttle, the Nova, and gets in. The shuttle was designed by herself, as Palpatine's designs weren't good enough. She sets the course for Malachor. As the lines of hyperspace appear, she goes back to her cabin and takes a nap.

Several Hours Later...

She drops the Nova out of hyperspace and uses the Force to locate the Jedi on Malachor. She senses that they are in the Sith Temple and lands nearby. She gets out and walks over. She finally senses who the Jedi is. It's Leia Organa. Why did that youngling come to Malachor? She's been trained well, and she is a Skywalker, but Malachor is no place for anything less than a Knight. It's a difficult spot for even Jedi or Sith Masters to go.

She sees where the temple's door has been opened with a lightsaber. She uses the Force to find Leia's trail of footsteps and follows it. She sees Leia climbing the temple's side to reach the Sith holocron. She jumps up and ignites her twin red lightsabers. Leia ignites her blue one and tries to throw rocks at Darth Saph. She dodges them all and tries to throw rocks at her with the same result. Ahsoka makes the first strike, which is blocked by Leia's lightsaber. Leia doesn't fall for the trapped holes in Darth Saph's defenses and instead quickly falls back into Form three to try to outlast Darth Saph's offense. It's a good thing Obi-Wan taught me this, even though I enjoyed learning Shein with Dad more. Even with Ahsoka holding back, as she's trying to capture, not kill, Leia is still struggling.

Darth Saph says, "The second apprentice still lives."

Then, to weaken Leia, Darth Saph uses her right arm to create Force lightning. She had worked on controlling it so it wouldn't kill, just knock out someone, after reading Revan and Gravid's teachings. She hits Leia's lightsaber hand, her right hand and arm with force lightning. Leia drops her lightsaber in pain, and tries to dissipate the lightning bare-handed, until she collapses, falling off the cliff. Darth Saph catches the knocked-out Jedi with the Force and puts her in stun cuffs, carrying her back to the shuttle and dumping her in the detention cell, as she starts the trip back to SSD Huntress.

Back at SSD Huntress...

Darth Saph uses the Force to cloak herself as she carries a still out Leia to the detention block. Skyguy taught her well.

She had had to drug Leia into staying out so she could carry Leia easier. The small body of her former master's daughter was dumped in the detention block.

Darth Saph whispers into her wrist mounted comlink, "Katee, come to detention block 5 and take care of the prisoner. She pulls up the sleeves of Leia's outfit and uses the Force to reduce the pain. She can sense Leia's rapid heartbeat gong to a more normal level. Calm down, little one. Good girl. The med droid comes and gently puts bacta patches on the burns on her before checking for more injuries. Seeing none, KT-2 powers off. Darth Saph still sits by Leia and puts some blankets on her and tucks a pillow under Leia's head. Sleep well, little one.

A few hours later...

Leia wakes up and looks around.

I'm not dead and I'm in an Imperial detention cell. Then the memories flashed back to her of her duel. Why was Darth Saph trying not to kill me? She sees that she had been treated well, by the bacta patches and the blankets and pillow. She also senses that someone did some force healing. Who, she wonders? She also sees the package of food and eats a bit of it, trying to save the rest for later. She then goes back to sleep to conserve energy.

A little while later...

Leia wakes up. She then sees a green gas coming out of the vents and identifies it as either Somaatadine or Arilasulind. She hopes it is Somaatadine, as it causes humans to be knocked out, rather than Arilasulind, as Arilasulind is used by the Empire to execute humans. As her eyes close, she knows it is Somaatadine.

Author's Notes: I haven't watched Rebels, other than some YouTube clips of Ahsoka vs Vader. The gas names were from a generator, somewhere. I'm modding a group read for Star Wars Legends Fan Group for the book Revan. It's a sequel to KoTOR, and a prequel to the Old Republic game. I'm a mod in Star Wars Legends Fan Group on Goodreads, so feel free to join and read along with me. The read started June 1st and ends at the end of June. Who got all the namedrops? Also, The Jedi Return will not be updating today, due to the fact that I've been doing camp this past week and will be doing a camp for the next few weeks. I have prewritten the next chapter for this story, and it will be hurt/comfort.
