Hello, everybody in the fanfiction world, Silent Master of Winds here with my very first Fanfiction ever! I am so hyped, I cannot even explain it right now!
So, about my story. This is going to be a very long one, I'm sure of that. It's going to be three parts, with each part likely clocking in at 75-125 chapters a piece. There's a very high chance that the last part is going to be about double that amount. And we're not talking 1,000-word chapters either. We could easily be looking at a 100 million word count by the time I'm done! The story will encompass three events, two of which happen in the games: Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon Gale of Darkness, both of which take place in Orre. The last event jumps from region to region. The reason why this story is going to be so long is because I simply love world building and descriptive elements. Due to this story's triple protagonist disorder, POV shifts will be common. I'm sure you readers are relatively smart enough to figure it out, but I'll still point it out when it happens. I will also throw in music recommendations for certain sections of the fic, as I feel it can increase immersion.
First and foremost, if you don't like dark storytelling, you might not want to read this one. There are some VERY dark moments in here, ranging from possession to described mutilation. If you think you can take it, step right up. Next, be reminded that because of the nature of this story, a lot of characters are going to seem, well, out of character. Betrayal doesn't really happen in Pokemon at all, so if you're here to see Ash be a goofball, you might want to leave. No, Ash will not be invincible in this story. He WILL be powerful, but not for an unexplained reason, and not because 'Ash is the Chosen One hur dur.' That's not to say that his status as Chosen One won't be invoked, it just won't be used as an excuse.
As for the other characters, their personalities and teams of Pokemon will be influenced by both the games, and personal favoritism. No one important is going to have a Miltank or Raticate because I don't like them. However, don't let that get you down, because there are very few Pokemon that I don't like. At the very least, you can count on Gallade, Aegislash, Greninja, Sceptile, Scizor, Blaziken, Lucario, and Skarmory being present, and Gardevoir is eventually going to be a main character. Just know that no matter what, Wes is still going to have Umbreon and Espeon, and Michael is still going to have his Eevee.
Mega Evolution will be featured in this story, but certainly not from the beginning. You aren't going to see Ash stroll up in the first chapter with a Mega Charizard or Sceptile. The way I'm planning it, he won't even be able to use it until at least chapter 55, probably even later. Z-moves from Alola will not be present because I do not like them and don't want to incorporate them. Neither will SWSH's moronic Dynamax feature. However, combination attacks will be a fairly common occurrence once the story starts picking up speed, due to Orre's Double Battle nature. On top of that, all Psychic-type Pokemon have the ability to form a mental link with their trainer, which not only allows them to read their trainer's mind, but also allows them to speak telepathically with their trainer.
Last note: Keep an open mind, as this story will delve into some morally questionable terrain.
