Arthur's Journal

Journal Entry #2

This is my second journal entry. The Cooper Gang managed to find some intel about the Fiendish Five thanks to the police file that the raccoon stole. The first member of the Fiendish Five was a guy named Sir Raleigh. Sir Raleigh was a bullfrog. He grew up rich and powerful. He was getting tired of being like Howard Hughes. So the frog decided to turn to a life of crime. He became the Fiendish Five's tinkerer, always making weapons for them. The last reported sighting of this mad machinist was off the southern coast of the Isle of Wrath, a small island uncomfortably situated in the middle of the perilous Welsh Triangle (R.I.P. Princess Diana of Wales).

Arthur.

Regular P.O.V.

The Cooper Gang finally made it to their destination: Wales. The raccoon left the van. The human boy followed Sly. It was raining pretty hard. Arthur and Sly soon approached a gate blocking their path.

"I just spotted something that will complicate the mission. See that nasty looking gate? It blocks the only road leading into Raleigh's hideout." Bentley said to Sly and Arthur.

"No shit, Sherlock." Arthur said to Bentley. "Quit stating the obvious!"

"You do realize that there's a ladder next to the gate, Bentley." Sly said to Bentley.

"Sorry, I just have a habit of getting worried all the time." Bentley said.

"Take some antidepressants." Arthur said to Bentley.

Arthur shut off the binocucom. He and Sly went up to the gate. Both of them climbed the ladder. They made their way through the area, knocking over a few beaver guards here and there. It was then that the human noticed a green bottle lying on the ground. It had a small piece of paper inside the bottle. It made Arthur curious. Maybe it was a message in a bottle from some castaway that was stranded in the surrounding islands. Arthur smashed the bottle and read the paper, expecting a heartfelt message from a castaway. Instead, what Arthur found was a code. Arthur was confused.

"Hey Bentley, why is there a message that displays a code and what is it doing here?" Arthur asked the turtle.

"Now this is very interesting. The message you just found appears to be some sort of clue! I'll decipher it here in the van. In the meantime, see if you can find any more clues. The more I have, the easier it'll be to crack the code." Bentley said to Arthur.

"The code for what?" Arthur asked the turtle.

"It leads to a safe. Once you have collected enough clues, you'll be able to unlock a page from the Thievius Raccoonus, which will unlock a special ability for you to use." Bentley said to Arthur.

"I'll keep that in mind." Arthur said.

Arthur and Sly then noticed some strange searchlights that were guarding the area. The searchlights looked hot.

"Hold on, Sly and Arthur. See those searchlights? One careless step, and you'll be subjected to acute combustion." Bentley said.

"Are you going to stop freaking complaining, Bentley?" Arthur asked Bentley.

"I'm just trying to keep you guys alive. Fortunately for you guys, I've launched these signal repeaters throughout Raleigh's fortress. Get close to one, and I can checkpoint your guys progress." Bentley said.

"I'll also keep that in mind." Arthur said to Bentley.

Arthur and Sly avoided the spotlights. They collected some more clue bottles along the way. The human and the raccoon then saw what looked like a blimp up ahead in the distance. The blimp was covered in a dense fog. There were sunken ships scattered all along the ocean. Arthur was surprised by this. He was a protector of the Earth's oceans. He didn't like the fact that there sunken ships just strewn about. It made him angry. It made him very upset.

"According to my Amphibio-Positioning System, that big blimp is where Raleigh is hiding out." Bentley said.

"You know, that blimp looks more like a machine than a hideout." Sly said to Bentley.

"What kind of sorcery is this?" Arthur asked.

"You're right, Sly. That is a storm machine! It's the reason why it never stops raining around here." Bentley said.

"That explains all the wrecked ships."

Upon hearing Sly say that, Arthur was pissed off. How dare this Raleigh person create a machine to disturb the weather in Wales? It's impossible! This frog character had been messing with the oceans for far too long. Arthur knew that it had to end. He couldn't just sit by and let the frog ruin the Earth's oceans and the ecosystem.

"I hate the fact that this Raleigh person is ruining the Earth's ecosystem! I'm going to teach that fucker a lesson about ruining the Earth's oceans!" Arthur said to both the raccoon and the turtle.

"Well, Sir Raleigh is one of the members of the group of people who killed my father and mother." Sly said to Arthur.

"Let's go defeat this demon sent from hell!" Arthur said.

After making their way further, Arthur and Sly came across a safe. Sly collected all of the clue bottles. He entered the safe's code and opened the safe. Inside the safe was one of the pages of the Thievius Raccoonus.

"It's one of the pages of the Thievius Raccoonus. This one is for Drake Cooper's Knockout dive attack."

Sly took out an empty book that was the Thievius Raccoonus and placed the page back into it.

"Maybe we can find somebody that we can trust to help me restore the book to it's former glory." Sly said.

"Whatever." Arthur said to Sly. Arthur didn't really care all that much for the Thievius Raccoonus. Why should it matter to him? Arthur Curry already had a journal of his own. He didn't need to worry about obtaining a journal, as he already had a journal.

"Now time to move onto Raleigh's hideout." Sly said as he moved to the front of the gate and pulled out a bobby pin, using it to pick open the lock on the gate. Arthur followed the raccoon to the frog's hideout, ready to defeat Raleigh the Frog once and for all.
