Listen to Me 6

Izuku had so many people call him in the past few hours. He was really happy, He stopped trying to push his problems aside and confronted them, not face to face, just through the phone. But he felt so much lighter now, like a weight had been lifted off him. He felt like he didn't have to strain things anymore and he could breathe so much easier.

Izuku figured out a while ago who was making these people call him. None of the people that called him, would never even think of apologising, they probably forgot about him and moved on with life.

So I guess that's why Izuku was standing in front of Aizawa's door. To thank him. Thank him for everything the man did for him.

He never seemed to act like he cared, but he really did.

*Knock, knock*

"Is someone dying?"

"No? I don't think so." Izuku replied to the tired mumble. Aizawa must have been pretty tired getting all those people to call him.

"Then go away." Aizawa eyes was still closed trying to go to sleep, but Izuku had to knock at such the perfect moment. (Please notice the sarcasm.)

"Right, yeah. Sorry. Uhm…I just…" God. Izuku was panicking, he couldn't even find the words to thank the man who helped him. "I've had like, 14 different people call me today and…."

Izuku felt a bit awkward talking to door, but he knew on the other side Aizawa was listening. Taking deep breathes in and out before continuing.

"I just…I wanted to thank you for-" Izuku was quickly cut off when Aizawa interrupted him.

"I didn't do anything." Izuku chuckled at the response. Aizawa acted like a real hero, but he never took the credit. Izuku was kind of even expecting that response.

"I know you must have told them all or-" Aizawa moved his head, opening his eyes as he stared directly at the door. Izuku could almost feel him glaring at him.

"I didn't. Do. Anything." Aizawa sneered at the door. Aizawa never like being thanked. Why bother? It wasn't like it was a big deal. (Says the man who just made a big deal out of it and got like 14+ people to apologise to Izuku.)

Izuku clasped his hands together, gripping them as he tried to think of something to counter. Looking off to the side.

"Right. Uhm…Well, thank you. For not doing anything." Izuku's social skills really bad, he couldn't really find anything to counter with. Man that sounded weird to say.

"Uhm, it…it really means a lot." Izuku licked his lips as he fiddled with his hands.

"…" Aizawa didn't say anything for a seconds before speaking up again, "…I'm trying to nap here."

"Right, yes! Sorry. Uhm…Bye!" Izuku slightly panicked, waving his hands around at the door.

Izuku quickly scrambled away, down the hallways. As he silently thanked Aizawa.

Aizawa listened intently to the footsteps of Izuku as they grew fainter and fainter. He closed his eyes again before he mumbled sleepily under his breathe.

Aizawa couldn't help, but feel the smile that crept up his face. The warm feeling in his chest.

He slowly drifted himself to sleep.

"Anytime, kiddo." Aizawa whispered to himself.

"Anytime."
