Chapter 2

Tarkin walking in the med bay where Nala Se was looking at Echo's charts. "I assume the procedure went well."

"Yes, while we inhanced CT-1409s inhibitor chip we found some useful information. Apparently he has knowledge about the separatists, battle plans, hideouts, blueprints, and more." Nala Se responded

"Where is CT-1409 now?"

"He was returned to his barracks last night after the procedure."

"What?! Why?" Tarkin was taken aback by this information.

"I wanted to see how he would react around his squad," Nala Se continued, "As the procedure did run into some problems –"

"Problems?" Tarkin interrupted, "What problems?"

"CT-1409 inhibitor chip was far too damaged than I thought, it will take multiple procedures to fix it to its full function."

"Very well, Bring CT-1409 in tomorrow morning and start that next prodecure. Oh, and see what other information you can find hiding in that clones head of his." Tarkin said putting his hands behind his back as he left the room.

Echo's head ached. All he could feel was pain throbbing through his skull. Ugh, he wanted the pain to stop, to go away and leave him alone, he was trying to sleep. Finally, he decided to try and open his eyes, unfortunately his eyes were meet with the ceiling lights as they jabbed the back of his skull causing him to wince and shut his eyes again. He could hear distant chattering and movement but right now he was more worried about his headache that he had.

"Echo?" a fimilar voice sounded right next to him. It was soft and quite and didn't cause his head anymore pain. "Echo, can you hear me?"

Echo groaned wishing that he had enough strength to speak or even nodded his head but just the thought of that made him nauseous.

"Echo, the lights are off now. You can open your eyes. I promise it wont hurt." The voice kept taking to him.

Echo hesitated for a moment before slowly peaking on eye open to test to see if the voice was telling the truth. No pain jabbed at the back of his head when he opened his eyes and he grew surer that it was fine and finally opened both of his eyes. He was meet with the sight of one of his brothers. Tech.

"Wha- What happened?" Echo's voice was raw and felt like sandpaper as he tried to get the words out. Someone came near Tech and handed him a glass of water to give to Echo. That's when Echo noticed Crosshair and Hunter.

"We were hoping you could tell us that," Hunter jumped in.

"Echo, what do you remember from yesterday?" Tech asked.

Echo looked up at the dark ceiling and tried to recall the memories of yesterday. He remember the quite morning and enjoying his time with his brothers. He remembered being forced to follow some shock troops to the med bay then he remember the in closed space of the stasis chamber, being tortured for information, people drilling holes into his head to get what they wanted from him.

Echo couldn't breathe, his heartrate increased as he confused his time on Skako Minor and what happened in the med bay yesterday.

"What's going on with him," Crosshair asked Tech.

"He's having a panic attack, Hunter help me hold him down so he doesn't hurt himself." Tech reached for Echo's arms as Hunter when for his legs.

After 20 mins of watching their brother thrash around Echo finally calmed down.

"Hey echo, come back. Come back to us, you're safe. Its ok." Hunter soothed placing his hand on Echo's shoulder trying to ground him and take him away from what he was seeing.

Echo panicked for a second before melting into Hunters touch and allowing his brother to pull him from his hallucination.

"They- They brought me to a med bay and – " Echo shut his eyes trying to force back the memories that still haunted him from Skako Minor.

"It's ok Echo, you don't have to say anything right now. Just rest." Hunter reassured him.

Echo looked down and slightly nodded before laying back. Wrecker showed up and knelt by Echo's bedside trying his best to comfort him while Tech and Hunter moved away to talk about Echo.

"What ever happened definitely reminded him of his time on Skako Minor," Tech said adjusting his glasses.

"Those bastards," Hunter cursed, "Echo was finally getting better, finally improving. Why would they do this to him? What could they possibly want from Echo?"

"Information?" Tech guessed, "Echo did mention that because the separatist got access to his memories he also got access to their data bases and schematics and all their information as well."

"True but why not just ask him? We serve and are loyal to Tarkin and the Empire. Why wouldn't they trust us to give the information we have?"

"I wish I knew," Tech said looking back at their brother laying on his bed just as weak as when Tech first freed him for the stasis chamber. It broke his heart.

They spent the rest of the day helping Echo from triggering another panic attack. Crosshair made dinner and they all gather around Echo's bed and ate together, joking and laughing with one another, Echo was starting to feel better being in the protection of his brothers. When it was time to sleep Tech gave Echo some sleeping medication in hopes to calm Echo's mind and put him to sleep. Once Echo was sound asleep the rest of the team retreated to their own bunks and fell asleep as well.

It was about 7 in the morning, Hunter was the only one awake, like always. He was doing his morning routine, brushing his teeth, working out, then making breakfast for his team. During his morning workout he heard the door to their barracks open. He peered around the corner to see 5 shock troopers enter the room.

"What are you doing in here?" Hunter interrupted grabbing his blaster.

"Tarkin wants CT-1409 for examination."

"Well, that's unfortunate cause Echo isn't going anywhere, not after last time." Hunter growled.

The shock troopers charged their guns and aimed them at Hunter, "Stand down."

"Make me," Hunter grabbed his knife and threw it towards the group of men before shooting his blaster and taking cover behind the table in the middle of the room. "Crosshair! Tech! Wrecker! We got company!" His brothers were on their feet within seconds, Echo still unconscious and resting from his recent events. Hunter was glad that Echo could still sleep through all the noise.

"What's Happening?" Crosshair said setting up his sniper as he took his first shot that took out one of the troopers.

"They're after Echo," Hunter informed them.

"We need back up!" One of the troopers announced into their comm before being shot down by Crosshair.

"Wrecker! Move!" Tech yelled to Wrecker who had charged into the group of them like always. Once Wrecker had moved Tech threw an electric bomb that electrocuted the rest of the shock troopers who now lay unconscious on their floor.

"We got to get out of here, now!" Hunter exclaimed throwing his backpack over his shoulder headed towards Echo who was still unconscious.

Suddenly there was banging on the door. "Stand down or we will take you out!" A troopers, most likely a general with backup, yelled from outside the door.

"Come and get us then!" Wrecker shot back before a few seconds later a gas bomb was thrown into the room. The bad batch panicked trying to cover their mouth and nose but it was too late. Hunter watched as one by one his brothers fell into a senseless sleep before joining them.

"-nter, Hunter!"

Hunter shot up from the floor, Tech above him. All his brothers were there, except for Echo. They were all in their blacks and locked up in a cell.

Once hunter sat up they were all silent knowing that they had failed and Tarkin once again had Echo in his hands.
