Chapter 3
"What have you found so far?" Tarkin asked walking into the separated room from the med-bay that Echo was being held in.
"We are looking for information about the separatists, so far we have found inventory and building schematics on base." Nala Le informed Tarkin.
"And his inhibitor chip?"
"Damaged, I'm not sure if it can be fully repaired and have the same effect as we would have hoped. Because of what happened to him on Skako Minor he is more machine than human. I would have to do some research but he could possibly be reprogramed, and with help from the inhibitor chip it could work."
"Great, get as much information out of his as you can then proceed with the reprograming." Tarkin said and Nala Le bowed in response.
Echo's head ached. He tried to open his eyes but they were met with complete and utter darkness. Thankfully his eyes didn't hurt when he opened them.
He tried to move his arms and found that they were strapped to whatever he was laying against he moved his head from right to left and that's when his heart sank. Cords, wires hooked up into the ports on his head and neck. He had been all to familiar with that feeling in the statis chamber when he tried to move around in his early days of consciousness.
Pure panic filled his body. It started in his chest then moved down into his stomach before rushing up his neck and into his head and filling his limbs as he tried to restrain from shaking. Where was he? He couldn't see anything other than the darkness that blinded him.
Gravity told him that he was on his back slanted at an angle between laying down and standing up. He tried to take deep breaths in and out and thought about his brothers. Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair. He tried to remember times they had laughed together and joked with each other. Trying to keep his spirits high.
Suddenly the feeling of something jamming into his thoughts rushed through his head as he realized one of the ports turned on digging into his memories. His headache intensified and he clamped his eyes shut trying to push away the intrusive prying at his memories. The pain intensified as he bit back a cry for help. He wished his brothers where there with him to save him or even bring comfort of any kind but they weren't. He was all alone. He gave in a cried out as a tear slid down his face.
"We need to get out of here." Hunter said out loud.
"How insightful, I thought we would just stay in here for the rest of our days," Crosshair said in his sly, sarcastic voice.
Hunter shot a glare at the sarcasm and looked to Tech, "Have any ideas?"
"Not anything that would actually work without our gear," Tech said hand on his chin with is other arm crossed over his body as he was thinking of ways to get out.
"How 'bout I just punch our way out!" Wrecker exclaimed throwing his arm backwards for a wind-up then punched the side of the wall and a loud bang rang through the cell and knocked Wrecker back.
"Well that was completely pointless and loud," Tech said moved near Wrecker who was sprawled out on the floor.
"No exactly," Hunter said quietly as he moved towards the wall that Wrecker punched. There was a dent where Wreckers fist met the metal, "Wrecker, come punch this wall again, the same spot."
Wrecker stood up from the floor shaking his hand and with a evil smile on his face he punch the wall again. This time his arm went completely through the wall.
"Woah! That time it worked," Wrecker said laughing a little.
Once Wrecker removed his arm Tech had a look at what they found. In the wall there were wires and cords and buttons along the inside of the wall. Tech grabbed a few wires trying to look deeper inside the back of the wall. "Wrecker, I need you to remove this panel so I can see where this wire leads."
"On it!" Wrecker ripped the panel from the wall.
"Someone most likely heard all the noise that we just made so I suggest you hurry up," Crosshair informed as he was standing behind them arms folded across his chest. Even though his voice was just as cunning and sly as it always is he had a hint of pride in his brothers and their abilities.
"I know, I know, I just need to do this last thing aaaaaannnnd…. Got it!" Tech said as the cell door swung open.
"Good work Tech," Hunter said placing a hand on Tech's shoulder, "Lets go get Echo,"
