Hey, everyone. I'm so sorry for not updating in so long, but I have an explanation for you.

As you all know, Cooper (my horse) has a relapsing condition known as Founder. It's a build up of sugars and fats that lead to high fever, loss of appetite, muscle pain, and eventually inability to walk or eat. On of the signs is a stiff, hard crown on the neck, where the mane grows.

Cooper had it bad recently. He just turned 14 and was losing weight fast. He looked old for the first time I could remember.

Today, my father had to put him down. There is no kinder way of putting it.

Our younger horse and his only companion, Boo, sent himself insane only hours after Cooper was removed from his line of sight. And I don't mean pining. I mean INSANE.

As a preventative measure to avoid him dying a slow, painful death in a wire fence, he too was put down.

I was at school in Chemistry class when I found out.

Updates will be coming soon, I promise, but I'm not sure how quickly I can get them edited. We'll see.
