It had been a year since the events at Freddy's and BRIAR. But now that that's over, Michael Schmidt left but keeps in contact with his friends, the animatronics, and even keeps a fantastic relationship with Foxy. But, over time, the only maintenance guy left. So, on top of needing maintenance, they also need an extra pair of hands to help with the waiting, since the pizzeria also became a restaurant as well. But for now, let's go to a certain teen that we will see later.
(3rd person POV of Jason Afton)
"Great, on my last few bucks. I can't keep being low on money," said a teen named Jason Afton. Jason was 17 years old, with light purple hair. His hair was dyed purple because of a chemical spill that happened by accident. He was 6 feet tall exactly and had light caramel skin, and Jason had been homeless for quite some time now. His parents died fatally in a car crash, and he had no other family to claim him. So, therefore, he had no choice to try to make it on the streets.
"Maybe there is a job in the newspaper," contemplated Jason. Jason quickly nabbed a newspaper and started to look through it. To his surprise, there was only one job offer, and that was maintenance and waiting. He figured he could maximize his profits by working both jobs. One was in the day shift, while the other was night shift. Perfect for him, since he didn't go to school, despite he was 17 years old.
After a bit of walking, he made it to Freddy Fazbear's. He remembered his uncle and aunt would take him here on multiple occasions, but his uncle was never around when they would arrive at the establishment. He would always disappear. This happened for a while, till Jason found out what his uncle was really up to. But that didn't matter. That was in the past.
Jason walked in, right when the morning show had recently ended. He walked up to the register counter. The lady, who had brown hair, dark brown eyes, a caramel skin color, at the counter asked, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria and Restaurant. How may I assist you?"
"Hey, I'm here to apply for both the waiting position and the maintenance position. And yes, I want to work both positions," stated Jason.
The lady replied, "Alright, I'll let the owner know." The lady then picks up the phone and calls the owner. After a few minutes of standing there, listening to the lady, she finally turned her attention to Jason. She then instructed, "So, the owner is actually free. Go past the show/dining room, down the hall, second door to the right."
As Jason was making his way to the owner's office, he walked by a room with a solid door. The door was cracked open.
Out of curiosity, Jason peeked into the room. The room was pitch black except for what little was lit up from the sliver of light emitting from the hallway light. Not being able to see, Jason started to go on about his business. That was until he heard what he thought was a faint, female voice coming from the room. Jason called into the room, "Hello? Is anyone there?" Jason then proceeded to walk into the room. Then, the door closed. Jason fumbled about in the dark, cold, musty room until he found a light switch.
After flipping the light switch to "on," he saw 4 animatronics on the floor and mangled and messed up. Then, what looked to be like a white fox-based animatronic, turned its head and looked straight at Jason, and they made eye contact. After what seemed like forever, it finally said in a faint voice, "Help...us..." Then, its head went back to its original position. Jason was freaked out about this, therefore, exiting the room quickly.
As soon as Jason left the room, someone behind him cleared their throat to get Jason's attention. Jason turned around to face a man about 5'10, 170 lbs, with hair that was turning gray. The man asked, "And who are you?"
Jason, out of shock, said, "J-Jason is my name."
The man replied, "Ah. You must be the kid that wants both positions." "Well, you're hired. We need someone pronto. I'll have you come back to work your maintenance shift, which is at night. Be here at 12:00 am. I'll give you a list of tasks that are needed to be done."
The owner then left quickly, leaving Jason befuddled about what just happened. He was hired just like that? It seemed a little fishy that he was hired without regard to his age, state, or if he had a criminal background, which he didn't.
Disregarding what happened, Jason left the place. But when he walked out of the door, Jason got a chill down his spine that made him shudder. With no home to go to, he walked around town but stuck close to the pizzeria.
11:50 pm
As Jason walked up to the pizzeria, he saw the owner standing in front of the doors. Jason stood in front of the man. The owners said to Jason, "Glad to see you have arrived. I've compiled a list of tasks you need to do. But you must stay till 6:00 am. No if, and, or but. The cameras are always recording, so I'll find out if you've left early"
Before Jason could even say a word, the owner gave him the list, a flashlight, and a taser for protection then got in his car and left Jason to do his shift. Jason walked into the pizzeria, barely able to see. He turned on his flashlight. He shined the flashlight at the three animatronics on stage. They stood like statues, lifeless and immobile. It freaked out Jason, so he moved on to do his tasks.
First, he had to steam clean the animatronics. Jason had no idea where the steam cleaner was. After searching for about 9 minutes, he found it in the janitorial closet. He grabbed it, then made his way to the dining/showroom. He got there, stepped up onto the stage, and started to work on the bunny-themed animatronic. It had light purple synthetic fur, red eyes with no sign of life. It held a red guitar, that looked a little too real. Right before Jason started to clean, a bell rang.
"Huh, must've been the bell that starts the night shift," assumed Jason. Jason then started cleaning the animatronic. As he started, Jason noticed the animatronic's ear twitch. This concerned Jason, but he quickly dismissed it. Jason started to clean the bunny-themed animatronic's arm. Then on, he kept cleaning. About 20 minutes later, he finished the bunny-themed animatronic. He then moved on to the next. A little over an hour later, he finished the three on stage. But when he looked down at his list of tasks, it said to steam clean 4 animatronics, not three. This left Jason confused. He looked at the list again, and there was something in parenthesis. Inside the parenthesis, it said, "Check Pirate's Cove for the last animatronic."
Jason finally found Pirates Cove. After walking into Pirate's cove, he saw a fox-like animatronic standing there. It hands one free hand, that looked like a fox paw. It also had a hook on the other, and it looked very sharp. Jason walked up to the animatronic, then proceeded to touch the hook. As soon as he did, he was cut. The hook was sharp to puncture and create a small flesh wound just by touching it. Jason decided to try to avoid the hook. After starting up the steam cleaner, he heard voices. Deciding to investigate, Jason crept out of Pirate's Cove.
As he got closer, he hid behind a corner and listened. He heard two male voices and a female voice. HE peeked around the corner and saw the three animatronics standing and talking amongst each other. Talking. The animatronics were talking. Jason was shocked and confused at this sight. They were talking English, and it was comprehensible. AS he was eavesdropping in, he moved his foot and accidentally knocked something over. The three heard the sound and looked towards Jason's way.
The bear-themed animatronic said, "Whoever is there, come on out with your hands up!"
Jason, out of reflex and fear, bolted in the opposite direction. The three took off after him. After running down the hall. Eventually, the three animatronics cornered Jason.
The bear-themed animatronic then said, "Why did you run? We were just simply going to ask a few questions."
Jason didn't know what to say. He had just been chased down by three big animatronics, who could speak English. He then finally mustered up the courage to say, "Y-you guys are alive. And you were talking."
The bear-themed animatronic looked at the other two with an unamused look. "You didn't know we were alive? Of course, we are."
Jason was so stricken with confusion. The bear-themed animatronic extended a paw-hand. Jason took it and got up.
"Now, introductions. I'm Freddy Fazbear. This is Bonnie, and that is Chica. Foxy is in her cove. She's been secluding herself ever since the last night guard took his leave. But you'll find out more about that tomorrow. It's almost 6:00. You better wrap up what you need to do."
The three left and went back to the stage. Jason tried to wrap his head around things as he finished up his tasks. Tonight had been one strange night. As he finished, he walked to the room he saw the broken animatronics. After looking at them for a good minute, he walked out. If the other four were alive, these would be too right? And with that logic, the ones in that room must be in a lot of pain, if they felt pain at all. Then, Jason jumped because the bell rang, signaling 6:00 am. Jason walked out of the building, coming back in the day for his waiting shift.
