Author's Note: Hello everyone! SnivyLord here! I am back with another chapter! So I just wanted to say that there's going to be a lot of allusions in this story, referencing different things. This could range from the miraculousness of the children referencing a certain franchise to like an event in the past canon for continuity. I don't own any of the third parties affiliated with those references, I just thought it would be fun to incorporate those things somehow. Anyway! The updates for this story will be kinda steady, I won't say that a chapter will be released every week since I would be lying if that were the case. However I will try my best to update these chapters in a timely manner since these chapters are generally pretty long. I really appreciate comments and review guys, they really do make my day when it comes to writing these. So here's the summary: Louis, Hugo, and Emma charge the Eiffel Tower, thinking that they are prepared to face Hawkmoth, however, they end up losing more than what they could ever imagine.

What does it mean to truly lose? Some people would say that losing just means simply not winning. Others would say losing is the failure of a person's mission to achieve something that went against someone else's mission. Losing could also mean the things that are taken from you when you fail to win. What is the true definition of losing then? Could love also be the definition of losing? It's an interesting thought because love is equally responsible for so much pain and yet so much joy. Unfortunately, in the eyes of several in this world, love is responsible for more pain as the Future Past rages on. When a person loves another as much as they love themselves, the moment they lose them, that's when they truly lose. That is when the Agreste children truly loses, and specifically, that is when Louis loses.

"Louis!" Ladybug called out as the boy clashed weapons with Hawkmoth. It didn't seem like Louis was listening at all, he was just blinded by his rage. The hole that was made in the dark miasmic barrier cracked even further and spread out as if the whole thing was made of glass. Immediately after that, the entire barrier around the Eiffel Tower shattered and reconnected the Eiffel Tower to the rest of Paris' reality.

"Are you really going to kill me Louis?" Hawkmoth chuckled, entertaining the idea that this boy could actually kill him. However, he did find it amusing that the first miraculous superhero in the modern age that actually aimed to kill would be Louis. Louis said nothing as he disconnected his lance from Gabriel's scepter and twirled it around to strike him again and again with a fierce grace fitting of a lance. Hawkmoth managed to parry each strike, but Louis caught him off guard with a flip of his lance that knocked the scepter out of his hands. Just as Louis about stab Hawkmoth, a deep blur entered his vision and he glanced at the corner of his eye to find Mayura leaping to intercept him. As if anticipating the intervention, Hugo leaped in at the same time and countered Mayura with his sword, their weapons clanging together in a fierce battle of force. Hugo then gripped his sword tighter and finished his swing of his sword, knocking Mayura back and Hawkmoth jumped back with her in order to retrieve his scepter.

Louis gave a small smile of appreciation to Hugo, "Thanks lil' bro," Hugo nodded and smiled back as the two brothers prepared to clash with Hawkmoth and Mayura again.

"I got your back," Hugo said simply, the fact being obvious that he would always have his older brother's back. Emma looked around the Eiffel Tower and realized that something was off.

"Wait... isn't there one more person?" Emma wondered aloud as her parents stepped forward to guard her. Chat Noir narrowed his eyes at the darkness surrounding them and realized that someone was missing. He and Ladybug were also fighting someone else before their children arrived. Chat Noir glanced over at Ladybug to find that she reached the same conclusion.

"Where's Lila?" Ladybug voiced their collective thoughts and she frantically looked around and whipped around to find the person in question sneaking towards them from behind. Ladybug whipped out her yoyo and attacked Lila, who disappeared as soon as the yoyo made contact with her, "An illusion?"

"Wait!" Emma ran in the direction where the illusion came from and when she did, more illusions of Lila came out from the shadows of the Eiffel Tower's beams and braces. Emma heard their collective cackling as they all aimed to attack her. Emma heard the shouts of her parents behind her, but she was sure that she could handle a few illusions on her own. Emma flew up to meet the illusion and waved her hands outward and channeled her miraculous' energy. Emma felt the flicking sparks of fire at her fingertips and they erupted into flames. Taking a deep breath, Emma raised her hands above her head to combine the flames in her hands and swiftly brought them down in front of her to blast the illusions, "Vermillion Dawn!" The combined flames erupted from her hands and expanded into a beautiful and incorrigible phoenix that let out a boastful shriek before launching itself at all of the illusions, burning them all. Hawkmoth looked at the girl with an amused interest. To think that the girl could wield her miraculous' power to such a degree, especially at the age of 10. Emma floated in the air for a few moments while looking at the empty space before her.

"Madame Lila, I know you didn't attack me with your illusions, so please show yourself," Emma called out into the darkness and she heard an abnormally loud laugh in response that sounded akin to a cackling fox.

"Well well, looks like the Phoenix Priestess lives up to her name after all," Emma noticed a familiar orange figure standing on one of the beams on the upper levels of the Eiffel Tower. She recognized the tacky haircut and that plagiarized outfit anywhere, "Although that's not the only name you go by right? Emmalyn, the Immortal Princess, the wielder who can't die..."

"Frankly I don't care what you call me by, I'd be more surprised by the fact that you've been the same supervillain for two decades," Emma sneered at Lila, who gave her the same look of disapproval, a personal tension settling between the two. Ladybug had always known that her daughter hated Lila, however the reasons for their mutual hatred extended beyond hatred by association. Lila had always hated Marinette and Ladybug from the beginning, that much was obvious, but knowing that Emma, Marinette's daughter, had made a name for herself as the Princess of Paris was also a bitter pill for Lila to swallow. This was all because the girl had to go and get herself a miraculous and become the famous Phoenix Priestess, the Immortal Princess, the Princess of Paris, among other names. Lila hated the fact that the little girl seemed to revel in her newfound status and soaked in all the attention in as a miraculous wielder. Ladybug knew this and thought it was unbecoming how Lila thought it was ok to hate on 10 year old girl, but she's not going to really try to discern Lila's feelings on the matter. Emma had her own score to settle with the fox.

"Always the sass master aren't you? Reminds me of your insufferable mother," Lila snapped back, pushing herself off the beam she was leaning on and faced the girl. Emma didn't react to her comment but instead summoned her scepter, it spinning in the air before being grabbed still. Lila scoffed at this action before smirking, "I'll just tell you this... Illusions suit me," Lila's voice seemed louder for some reason, as if she was closer to Emma than she appeared. Emma noticed this change before seeing that the sight in front of her faded away like smoke and Lila was actually speeding towards her at an incredible speed, intent on running Emma through with her flute.

"An illusory reality?" Emma murmured to herself before she quickly maneuvered herself slightly in midair to catch Lila's arm just as the woman was about to make contact with her. However, Lila's momentum sent both of them flying through the air, with Lila making a gasp of surprise that Emma had even managed to react quickly enough to catch her. Emma grit her teeth and grabbed Lila's arm with her other hand and used their momentum to spin around until they were both spinning like a cycle in midair. Emma used this opportunity to set them both on fire much to Lila's dismay as evident by her scream as soon as it happened. Then, Emma let her go and threw Lila off to Hawkmoth and Mayura's side with a resounding crash while she gracefully landed next to her brothers with a whimsical spin.

"Nicely done Emm," Louis smirked, clearly impressed with his little sister and Emma gave a curtsy and a smile in response. Louis and his siblings turned their attention back to Hawkmoth who was looking at the three of them with an uncomfortable interest. Lila got up angrily and glared at the guilty priestess and she was about to say something before Hawkmoth cut her off.

"So the Lost Trinity has gathered..." Hawkmoth announced forebodingly as he looked from each respective wielder, "The Phoenix..." He looked at Emma, the wielder who can't die in her superhero form, "The Lynx," His gaze moved to Louis, the wielder who has the blessing of multiple weapons and can control time itself, " and The Divine Dragon..." Hawkmoth's gaze finally rested on Hugo, the wielder with the legendary sword that can purify all evil, "To think that you've all come here willingly to offer yourselves and your miraculous to me. You're all welcome to!" Hawkmoth laughed maniacally which garnered a look of pure contempt from Louis.

"And you're welcome to just go ahead and die," Louis retorted back. The three children stared down their three enemies: Hugo to Mayura, Louis to Hawkmoth, and Emma to Lila. This was a showdown one generation apart, but the feelings still carried over from all the bitterness and betrayal that Ladybug and Chat Noir felt in the past, "Tell me... with all of this..." Louis gestured to the violently pulsating Chrysalis of Paradise, "what kind of world do you think you're making, for Emilie specifically? Cause it's hardly a world at all." Louis gestured to the chaos and destruction that was ensuing outside of the Eiffel Tower. Hawkmoth's face immediately hardened when Louis mentioned her name and that arrogant maniacal persona of Hawkmoth was no more. It was just a cold blooded villain with no mercy.

"I am doing this to create a perfect world with Emilie, my wife... so that my family will never have to suffer again!" Hawkmoth chanted desperately as if he was trying to convince himself that was the reason. The reason why he was going this far, was it even to just resurrect Emilie anymore? Or was it so that he could ruin Adrien and Marinette's lives out of spite? Who knows anymore, but Louis won't try to understand, not that he ever had any intention to.

"I'm sorry to say that a perfect world doesn't exist. But it's not like you'll understand at all will you?" Louis sighed, wondering that himself. Louis lifted his lance as a sign of war towards the villain in question, the time for talking was over, "this will be over quickly..." Both sides readied themselves for the impending fight, no one knowing show was going to win.

"Let's settle this three on three!" Emma exclaimed, however she was forgetting that there were more people who were willing to join the fight once again.

"No.. it's five on three!" Ladybug stepped beside her daughter and Chat Noir his younger son. How long has it been since they all fought as a family Ladybug wondered. The sight of her children bravely taking on darkness that stood in front of them gave her courage. They all looked ready to fight for their lives, and even though Ladybug felt inspired, she also felt afraid. They're all powerful in their own right, each child having a unique set of abilities at their disposal. However their greatest weakness lies in their emotions, and Hawkmoth was an expert as manipulating them.

Louis looked between his mom and his dad, Ladybug and Chat Noir, who gave reassuring smiles to him. That made him feel better, their smiles gave him courage to face the man that took his friends from him, "Alright Maman.. Papa! Let's do this! Together!" With that shout, everyone lunged forward to engage each other in combat. Ladybug and Hugo worked together to try to subdue Mayura while Emma took on Lila once again. This left Chat Noir and Louis facing off against Hawkmoth. Perhaps it was destiny that these three in particular would face off against each other.

Hawkmoth was knocked back by the combined attack of Chat Noir and White Fang, flipping backward and lifting his heels to stop himself from losing his balance, "The father and son duo... how annoying..." Louis narrowed his eyes at that comment and started forward before his father held his hand out to stop him.

"Don't let him get to you Louis..." Chat Noir warned, but he only received a nod from his son before he charged forward again and switched from his lance to his sword Golgr to attack Hawkmoth. The villain smirked before clashing his staff with Louis' sword once again, the two slashed at each other, parrying and countering at a speed that seemed inhuman. Hawkmoth did have to admit that Louis' skill with his weapons was second to none, the boy struck with an icy precision and moved with the grace of falling snow. Out of the three Agreste children, Louis was probably the most dangerous and the biggest threat. Hawkmoth couldn't count how many times Louis had managed to thwart his plans in the past in record time, at a speed that surpassed even his parents. Hawkmoth had clashed with the boy a few times in the past, but there was no clear winner and that was when Louis hadn't even unlocked all of his miraculous' powers yet. Hawkmoth thrusted his scepter forward in an attempt to stab Louis, but Louis flipped his sword to the flat side so that it would block the tip of the scepter.

"Ultima," Louis simply said and the area around the two came to a standstill, the atmosphere blurry and hazy like a blizzard.

"What is this?" Hawkmoth gasped as Chat Noir watched in awe at Louis' newfound power. Hawkmoth and Chat Noir heard the sounds of a ticking clock and glass shattering. Emma who was flying and shooting across the battlefield to keep up with Lila's speed, clashing and separating with the fox saw the recent development between Louis and Hawkmoth and gasped in joy.

"That's the power he used before!" Emma exclaimed before as Lila turned her attention to find that Louis and Hawkmoth were in an icy transparent dome of sorts that looked like a contained blizzard.

Louis concentrated on keeping his power up and found that stabilizing the area was a lot easier than before. Soon, he heard his partner's voice in his head, congratulating him.

"Well, it seems that you've finally got the hang of my power," Glacies' happy voice rang in Louis' head and the boy smirked at his kwami's impressed voice. The two of them have formed a strong enough bond for them to communicate telepathically in their thoughts when Louis is transformed.

"How come you never told me that this is my true power? Like my mom and dad's Lucky Charm and Cataclysm?" Louis wondered to himself, knowing that his kwami can hear his thoughts. Out of all the powers he's unlocked and the different fighting styles that came with each weapon that Glacies made available to him, Louis never realized that Glacies' true power dealt with time and not ice. Louis was vaguely aware that Glacies was the kwami of time, but he didn't think his kwami would keep that power from him of all things. Ultima should have been the first thing Glacies should have warned him about since it's his miraculous' signature move, but there must have been a reason why Glacies allowed him to use it now.

"Ultima is... a rather tricky power. It's dangerous since you're basically meddling with time within real time if that makes sense," Louis felt Glacies' struggle of trying to explain the power to him, as if his kwami was debating how to best explain his power to him, "With Ultima, you can alter the perception of time of living beings relative to yourself and you can alter the time of any object. As you've already noticed, the amount of concentration needed to stabilize an Ultima depends on the area you're altering," Glacies referred to Louis' control of the area between him and Hawkmoth. Louis thought back to when he first used Ultima on all those demon akumas when he was trying to save Elena. The area was a lot larger and Louis was controlling the time of multiple things at once, "Before, you were altering the time of a bunch of those demon atrocities as well as yourself, that's why you were so exhausted afterward. However now, you're only altering your own time and Hawkmoth's, so it should be a lot easier. Not to say that you're not capable of using Ultima on multiple targets, just the fact that you rewound the time of so many of those things is amazing already!" Louis heard his kwami's stuttering as the latter tried not to insult his wielder and Louis had to stifle an internal laugh.

"It's fine Glacies I get it, this power..." Louis looked at Hawkmoth who was barely moving and himself who was also immobile inside the blizzard, "requires a lot of finesse..."

Glacies continued to explain, "Alright, I'd love to explain more of it to you, but we're in the middle of a battle and you can't hold this forever. However, do know this: Depending on your mastery with my miraculous and your own strength, you can use more than one Ultima without having to transform back within 5 minutes. Also! Just like you did before, just think about where you want to be within the timeframe relative to what you're controlling, and let me do the rest! Within battle, it should seem similar to teleporting, but you're actually just altering where you are within real time!" Louis chuckled at the thought that his kwami was explaining his power to him like it was some sort of gameplay tutorial, but he did need to have a better understanding about how his power worked, so Louis decided to save the joke for later. With a better understanding of his powers, Louis moved.

"So the boy is able to alter time now... I didn't think he would unlock his miraculous' abilities this quickly," Gabriel thought to himself, trying to move within the blizzard that Louis created, but his position remained the same. Suddenly, Louis' position in front of him disappeared and Hawkmoth suddenly felt a icy searing pain throughout his body, slicing and cutting across his body in countless strokes. Suddenly, the blizzard dissipated and Hawkmoth found himself encased in a flower of ice with the icy wielder in front of him. The cold was penetrating through his suit and the permafrost was creeping through his skin, in short, Hawkmoth was in an icy hell.

"Luther Entios Art: Frozen Orchid," Louis murmured quietly, staring at the icy bouquet of orchids that encased Hawkmoth. Each slash of his lance left a ribbon of ice in midair that beautifully wove into each other, crystallizing and forming the most beautiful ice bouquet. Despite there being no light to shine upon it, it shimmered beautifully and everyone couldn't help noticing the beauty of Louis' attack. Suddenly, the giant icy bouquet shone brighter and it shattered in a million pieces, its pieces shimmering in the crimson shadow of the sky, and Hawkmoth fell to the ground gasping for breath. However, just before Hawkmoth could even hit the ground, Louis summoned Sylgr and launched them to catch Hawkmoth just before he fell, and icy ribbons were attached from the hilt of the daggers to Louis' arm. Grabbing the ribbons, Louis swung his arms up to launch Hawkmoth into the air.

"Dad! Now!" Louis called back for Chat Noir, and he understood. Chat Noir rushed forward and leaped up into the air, extending his baton to hit Hawkmoth directly in the chest and sending him crashing into the ground. Hawkmoth struggled to get to his feet and he looked at Louis scathingly, cursing him for his mastery of his miraculous, "Are you afraid now?" Louis asked coldly as he took a couple of steps closer to Hawkmoth, who grit his teeth at the question. Chat Noir had never seen his son act like this before, but he perfectly understood why. His friends were just murdered, and his hometown is currently crumbling to ash and falling apart. Nearby, Hugo and Ladybug were fighting Mayura, who summoned a horde of sentimonsters to help her in battle. The two of them fought together in harmony, weaving around each other when they switched targets to protect each other's backs. Ladybug wrapped her yoyo around the waist of one of the sentimonsters and sent it flying into one of the other sentimonsters, knocking both of their mediums out of their possessions. Hugo, without missing a beat, dashed forward to slice both corrupted mediums and he saw the two deep blue amok feathers float out. Ladybug quickly grabbed them with her yoyo and purified them, but they still had a ways to go as more sentimonsters started to surround them.

"There's just no end to them!" Hugo exclaimed as he parried another incoming attack and he felt an incoming attack from behind, but his mother blocked it with her spinning yoyo shield. Ladybug stepped backward so they were back to back, eyeing the sentimonsters around them. What was strange was that Mayura had given each sentimonster their item to hold, but they were still willingly following her orders. Hugo noticed his mom tensing behind him, and he realized what she was thinking about while he looked back at the sentimonsters, "These sentimonsters are still following Mayura's orders of their own free will.. I don't really think we can convince them to join our side..."

"Perhaps not, however, this time seems different from when I turned her sentimonster against her..." Ladybug watched them carefully as each sentimonster of different size and shape readied themselves to attack. Hugo didn't spend too much time thinking about it further before he sucked in a deep breath and breathed out a stream of iridescent green fire that razed the sentimonsters and area in front of him. At this act of hostility, the other sentimonsters attacked and tried to grab Ladybug's miraculous, but Ladybug dodged and proceeded to counter. Wrapping her yoyo around one of the sentimonsters' appendages, Ladybug woven the yoyo through and around the sentimonster's body and had it adeptly tied up. The sentimonster whimpered in confusion before Ladybug spun it out with a sharp tug and sent it crashing into the other sentimonsters. One of the sentimonsters that was flying blasted a beam of dark elemental energy at them and Hugo countered by summoning a wall of large and burly tree roots that was blessed by Naga. The holy blessing of the Divine Dragon protects against all evil, and when the smoke disappeared, the wall was sure enough unaffected by the sentimonster's attack. The roots retreated back into cold steely ground of the Eiffel Tower somehow, leaving no trace of their appendages.

"Let's see how you like this!" Hugo jumped up above the flying sentimonster and ran it through with his sword. The monster roared in pain as Hugo thrust his sword in further and the hilt shone a brilliant light green color. The monster kept roaring and descending in pain until its body started cracking and the green light of Hugo's sword started to shine through. Suddenly, the monster burst apart, leaving only the amok feather inside it. Hugo touched the tip of his sword to the feather and its dark blue hue turned a pure white once again. Mayura grit her teeth as Hugo landed next to Ladybug who threw out her yoyo at Mayura. The peacock tried to dodge, but was wrapped up in the magic wiring of the yoyo. What was even worse was that when she tried to struggle out of the yoyo's grip, Hugo clapped his hands together in front of him and suddenly, blessed tree roots came out of the ground and wrapped around her form and bound her in that spot. Lila noticed this and sped towards Mayura, riding in on her illusory cloud.

"Don't worry Mayura I'm coming!" Lila yelled as Ladybug gasped knowing that she wouldn't be able to stop her since she was preoccupied with entrapped said peacock and Hugo was busy concentrating on binding the roots tighter around the wielder. All of a sudden, a bright fiery red flash shot across the battlefield, catching up to Lila in a matter of seconds.

"Forget about me?" a flame shrouded Emma asked, flashing in next to Lila and before the latter knew what was happening, Emma roundhouse kicked her opponent away from Mayura and sent her flying over to Hawkmoth. Hawkmoth stood up just as Lila crashed in next to him and looked over at the situation he and his comrades were in. They were outnumbered and they certainly were outmatched. However, fortunately for him, Hawkmoth can still turn the tides.

"Ready to give up?" Louis challenged Hawkmoth, although in the next couple of moments, he was going to regret those words. Hawkmoth was far from finished, in fact, he was just beginning to weave this tragedy of fate. Oddly enough, Louis could feel it as well, there's a good chance that they could lose here.

"Not at all, I was just wondering when you were going to get serious... now that I know what you're capable of..." Hawkmoth mused, wiping his hands of dust as if Louis' attack was just a walk in the park. Louis also realized that the man almost barely took any damage and that was when he felt his heart sink.

"How is that even..." Louis wondered aloud for a second before he glanced to his right and realized the source of Hawkmoth's enhanced abilities: The Chrysalis. Hawkmoth stretched his hand outward toward the relic and it started to pulse violently again and shine with a glaring purple light. Chat Noir put his hand out in from of his son and backed them both away from the relic.

"Unleash your ancient wrath upon those who don't know true paradise!" Hawkmoth commanded the chrysalis, which suddenly opened and a unfathomable sucking force started sucking all the heroes in. It was just almost shy of a black hole... almost. Chat Noir lurched forward, drawn by the force of the chrysalis and Louis was dragged in after him, "those sucked in by the chrysalis will be purged of their heroics... and of their will to fight... SERVE ME! BWAHAHAHA!" Louis heard the yells of his family as they were all getting sucked sucked in by the chrysalis. Louis quickly summoned his dual daggers and threw one of them at his dad, wrapping the snowy ribbon around his dad's waist and keeping the dagger snugly fit in his belt. Then, Louis threw the other one back towards one of the beams of the Eiffel Tower and wrapped his dagger around it like a grappling hook. Just as the dagger secured itself, it reached it's maximum length and Louis immediately felt the strain of his body screaming for relief. Louis held onto the dagger that held his dad as tightly as he could, but then Mayura and Lila rushed forward to cut off both of them.

"Louis! Hrk... Watch out!" Chat Noir looked between the abyssal hole that was the Chrysalis of Paradise and his son who was struggling to hold him. Mayura was about to rush forward to cut off the ribbon, but Emma intervened in possibly the most dangerous way possible. Emma used the momentum of the suction and aimed herself right at Louis and used her fire powers to boost her speed even further, getting closer to Louis as well as putting her at extreme risk of getting sucked in immediately. Louis noticed what she was about to do and yelled desperately, conflicted on telling her whether to stop or be careful.

"Emma! What are you?!" Louis tried to say as Emma shot in and spun her body forward and somersaulted into a wheel of fire, aiming it straight at Mayura. Using her momentum, Emma used her feet to send a huge blast of fire to head off Mayura, which succeeded. However, her momentum sent her flying past Louis and straight towards the Chrysalis.

"AAAAHHHH!!!" Emma screamed as she tried to reposition herself to rocket herself away from the chrysalis, but she couldn't get herself aligned in time.

"EMM! NOOO!!" Louis screamed as he watched helplessly as his sister was about to enter the event horizon of the chrysalis.

"Emma! I won't let you die!" Ladybug used the momentum to speed herself towards her daughter and used her yo-yo to grab her daughter, wrapping her yo-yo multiple times around her daughter's waist and shoulders like a vest. Louis and Chat Noir watched in horror as Ladybug had no support to brace herself on and flew in with Emma. Out of the corner of Louis' eye, he saw a long tendril of a root shoot towards Ladybug at an incredible speed and wrap itself around Ladybug's waist. Louis followed the tendril to Hugo, who summoned it and a wall of blessed roots to brace himself so it was just a long chain of their family saving each other. Louis looked back at Emma and gasped when he saw that Emma was right at the entrance of the Chrysalis of Paradise and he could just see the molecules of her soul getting sucked in by the Chrysalis.

Lila sneered at the Agreste family's attempt to save each other and decided to make matters worse, "All she needs is a little push," Lila started towards Emma who was trying to lean her body away from the event horizon, but she was failing. Emma felt herself losing her strength and consciousness and she could faintly make Lila making her way towards her.

"No..." Louis grit his teeth as he tried to think of anything beyond the overbearing roar of the wind that was getting sucked in. What options did he have? Louis tried to remember the advice Glacies gave him about his weapons.

"

Louis looked down at his weapon Sylgr and thought about what he could do in that split second. Thinking about Sylgr's abilities and its passive benefits on Louis, the boy thought about what outcome he wanted. It was not just the matter of him wanting to save his sister which was the end result, but Glacies had also given Louis the choice of how he could go about doing it. With that in mind, Louis sprung his plan into action.

"ULTIMA!" Louis yelled and the gems on both his daggers gleamed with a dazzlingly brightness and Louis concentrated on expanding his blizzard of time to the vicinity of Emma and Lila and everyone else so no one could interfere. Before Hawkmoth or anyone else could react, everyone was trapped within Louis' blizzard. One thing that Louis understood was that he couldn't alter where he could be in this situation because as soon as the blizzard releases, his father would be sucked in even if Louis managed to get back into his original position in time. Louis had to think of something else, and then he remembered Sylgr's special ability: multiplication. Usually, Louis can only multiply his Sylgr daggers but within an Ultima, he can multiply himself and the daggers, "Blizzard clones!" Louis called out and two clones of himself materialized from the snow and sped off towards Lila. Louis strained to keep up his Ultima while concentrating on keeping his clones materialized.

"Please work..." Louis gritted his teeth and altered Lila's perception of time relative to him and his clones. One of the clones came to Emma and when it was about to take her away to safety, the Chrysalis of Paradise surged and sucked it in and Louis could hear his clone's yell of shock, "that thing... is immune to my Ultima?" Louis looked over at Lila to find that the other clone was repeatedly slicing her with its replicas of Louis' daggers. It then gave Lila one final punch to the stomach that Louis was sure Lila could feel and Louis released his Ultima and he felt the excruciating pain of the Chrysalis' suction again. Lila was sent flying with a scream of pain from the delayed damage from Louis' attack and Gabriel looked at the boy, clearly impressed.

"Using an Ultima in this situation and using his weapon's special ability on top of that... the boy is certainly determined..." Gabriel mused as he snapped his fingers and the chrysalis closed and everyone but Hugo dropped to the floor, utterly exhausted. Louis groaned as he retracted his daggers back to him and he cradled his arm in an attempt to soothe the pain. Chat Noir looked at his son and Hawkmoth, knowing that his son was in danger for pulling such a feat. Now his father was even more interested in Louis' ability and miraculous than before. Emma felt her energy return to her as she struggled to stand from the soul splitting experience of the Chrysalis of Paradise's event horizon. It seemed as if the chrysalis returned the energy it took from Emma since it couldn't fully claim her. Chat Noir stood between Hawkmoth and his son, his baton drawn, full prepared to protect Louis. Hawkmoth smirked at this act and brandished his scepter, beckoning forth the power of the chrysalis.

"Miasmic akuma swarm..." Hawkmoth murmured as an akuma emerged from his staff and burst apart, becoming an ominous purple gas in the air. The gas soon started to spread to the heroes and Hugo recognized the danger immediately.

"You guys! Don't breathe in the miasma! It's a new form of corruption that generates negative feelings once it corrupts your mind!" Hugo rushed in without covering his nose or mouth. Why? It's because he doesn't need to, his miraculous already protects him from such corruption.

"Hugo!" Naga spoke within Hugo's mind as the boy prepared to dispel the miasma. Her voice was like a gentle breeze that blew through the flowers at the base of her home, the Mila Tree. Hugo felt her grace resonating through his mind, bringing a confident calm that he couldn't remember feeling, "Remember, my blessing is only as strong as you are, even a divine dragon such as myself can become corrupted if our will is no longer synchronized. Please take caution!" Hugo nodded and brandished his sword, pointing it in front of him. His sword Falchion was akin to two identical dragon fangs, forged and refined to a sharpened edge, combined to create the sword that slew dragons. The curvature of the fangs created an empty circular teardrop space at the hilt that was the source of Hugo's purification. Hugo then held his sword horizontally to his body and held Falchion in an open palm. The teardrop space began to shine brightly and it started sucking in all the miasma. Everyone looked in amazement as the miasma rushed past their closed noses and mouths into Hugo's sword.

"What?! It can purify the miasma?" Hawkmoth exclaimed as Hugo smirked and as if on cue, the atmosphere became clean again and all the miasma became contained within Hugo's sword.

"I can purify anything, none of your tricks are going to work," Hugo released the light from within his sword and it emanated like a refreshing breeze throughout the Eiffel Tower. The whole miraculous team felt their bodies become lighter from just being within Hugo's presence, it was almost as if the gentle breeze was healing them. The Agreste family felt their fatigue and exhaustion fading and they felt raring to go again. On the rebound of Hugo's assistance, Louis rushed forward again and summoned his lance to strike Hawkmoth who blocked it with his scepter. However, Louis' sheer power sent Hawkmoth back a couple of feet, driving the villain's heels into the ground. Louis could see the sparks of his weapon clashing against Hawkmoth, and after a couple of moments, Hawkmoth managed to get his bearings and decided to overpower Louis, getting the boy off of him. Louis twirled his lance and sent more gusts of snow and ice at Hawkmoth, who summoned swarms of akumas to block the blows.

"You are skilled Louis... skilled enough to live up the White Fang's name... however, you're forgetting that I have the power of the Chrysalis of Paradise at my disposal," Hawkmoth summoned another akuma from his scepter and he pointed his staff at the chrysalis. Suddenly the Chrysalis opened and a glowing light blue wisp tinged with purple flower out of the chrysalis and made its way over to the akuma.

"Wait that's..." Louis started, but his next words fell flat because the wisp orbited around the akuma, spinning and glowing faster and faster until both of them combined. Suddenly, Louis knew exactly what Hawkmoth was doing, "he's making one of those demon akuma monsters right here!" Louis looked closer at the the glowing ball of light started to convulse with a nasty purple and light green color. Hawkmoth grinned evilly like a Cheshire Cat as he started to mold and shape the demon akuma into its monstrous form.

"I can take any specific soul of my choosing and turn them into my own personal servant. That is the beauty of the Chrysalis of Paradise, a metamorphosis of light and darkness. Now you will see what it can really do," Hawkmoth threatened the family as the glowing ball grew larger and wings and appendages started to form and protrude from it. Louis and the others heard a terrible roar from the newly formed demon akuma as the light faded and they all saw the monster in its horror. However, when Louis looked closer at the demon akuma, there was something different about it. On top of its head, Louis could see that there was something stuck... no, embedded into the monster and he recognized it as a human body. Everyone else noticed it as well and gasped in horror.

"Is that... a girl?" Ladybug looked closer and she noticed the blond flowing hair. Louis looked closer and that was when he felt his heart drop, because he recognized the girl: It was Elena. Her eyes were barely open and Louis could see her upper body was riddled with corrupted veins of blood that shone an awful purple color. She didn't seem conscious and hung there inside the demon akuma without even a trace of life.

"Oh no..." Emma whispered, bringing her hands up to her mouth, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. She looked from the demon akuma to Louis and Emma couldn't fathom how her brother was feeling. The demon akuma was getting closer and yet Louis wasn't moving an inch. Emma couldn't tell, but her brother was frozen in horror and despair, looking up at the demon akuma with an indescribable expression, "Louis what are you doing! Move!" Emma screamed but Louis stayed frozen, and that was when she could see that Louis was shaking in fear.

Louis looked at Hawkmoth and muttered only one question that Hawkmoth heard, "Why?"

"I saw how you failed to save her, being brutally eaten by one of my demon akumas," Hawkmoth bluntly laid down the facts, and he knew that he got the desired reaction from the boy. Louis' eyes were blown wide with fear and his mouth was hung slightly open, but his jaw continued to drop as Hawkmoth kept talking, "and now her soul is now mine to use however I see fit. It's a shame that Chloe and Luka doesn't know that their daughter is dead... I wonder how you would have to explain to them that you let their child die? Just like how you had to explain to Alya and Nino that you let their son die," Hawkmoth taunted Louis, and Chat Noir's eyes widened when he heard that news.

"Louis! Gavin was also killed?" Chat Noir asked the boy, but he didn't answer, and the superhero took that silence as his answer. The black cat looked back at Hawkmoth who was smirking at the lynx, and he knew that Hawkmoth was purposely trying to get Louis fall deeper into that abyss of despair that was his mind.

"So it's true..." Ladybug sighed as she looked at Hugo and Emma who could do nothing but nod in confirmation that Gavin did die. Louis closed his mouth and scrunched his eyes in a futile effort to push down the burgeoning emotions in his heart, but he couldn't. It was true, he did fail to save his friends and both died because of his incompetence. It was just a matter of time before he would end up losing something else. Ladybug looked sadly at her son, but that look instantly turned into panic as she realized that Elena's demon akuma was dangerously close to him, "Louis! Get out of there!" Ladybug ran forward to save her son, but it was too late. The demon akuma reached down and grabbed the boy in a crushing grip, bringing him up face to face with the gaping mouth of the demon and Elena. His family ran forward to help him, but they were countered by Mayura and Lila, who fought them back. Lila summoned several illusions of herself and ran in to fight back Ladybug, who whipped out her yoyo to try to dispel them, but they all dodged and quickly got within the superhero's space. Ladybug stepped by in surprise before she punched and kicked all of the illusions, but as soon as she dispelled all of them, the real one rushed in before she could react and punched her back.

"Maman!" Emma looked back at her mom who regained her bearings and managed to land safely before looking back at Lila and saw that the fox was aiming a kick right at her head. Emma quickly summoned her scepter, which flipped in front of her to block the kick and Lila grit her teeth as Emma flicked her fingers and the scepter spun and knocked Lila off of her. Emma then grabbed her scepter and twirled it to summon a blast of fire at Lila, who blew into her flute and summoned more copies of herself and Emma's attack missed. Hugo fought with Mayura, who transformed her fan into a longer version of it in order to match Hugo's sword. The two fought with equal skill, parrying each slice and both of them dug their foot into the ground in order to launch themselves forward with their weapons outstretched. They clashed and ended up on opposite sides, and they both looked back at each other, but neither of them managed to land a hit on each other. Hugo grit his teeth and leaped towards her at an incredible speed, aiming to land a kick to her head, however Mayura saw this coming and managed to catch his foot with her hand, her stance not budging a bit. Hugo's eyes widened in shock and Mayura smirked knowing that she managed to catch him. However, in that split second when Hugo was still in midair and Mayura almost throwing Hugo, Chat Noir came in from the side and thrust his baton hard in Mayura's side, earning a yelp of pain from the peacock. He sent her flying and she released Hugo, and then Chat Noir immediately caught his son in his arms.

"Hugo you ok?" Chat Noir gave his son a tight hug which his younger son reciprocated and Hugo looked at the momentarily incapacitated Mayura for a moment before before nodding, still in his father's arms.

"Yeah I'm fine.." Hugo sighed in relief before the pair looked back at Hawkmoth and Louis, the latter groaning in pain from the tight grip of the demon akuma. Louis felt a burning and electrifying pain course through him where the demon akuma gripped him and he felt his senses getting numb, "Oh no! Louis!" Chat Noir watched in horror as his oldest son was subjected to such pain, mental and physical, condemned to face a loved one in this matter.

Louis tried to struggle against the grip, but it was no use, his strength was getting sapped from him. This felt different from when he got caught by the other demon akumas. Was Hawkmoth just holding back on the capabilities of these monsters before? Louis managed to get a good look at Elena, who looked sickly and completely devoid of any of the spirit she had before. Was she really dead then?

"Elena... forgive me... this pain... must have been nothing compared to what you went through because of me..." Louis managed to force out, his words ending on a groan of pain. Ladybug couldn't watch any longer and stepped forward to save her son but Hawkmoth stopped her.

"I wouldn't try to save him if I were you... any of you make a single move to save him, and I will kill him and take his miraculous," Hawkmoth threatened Ladybug, who gasped and looked at him in horror and contempt. Chat Noir grit his teeth and confronted his father once again, trying to reason with the man, knowing that it would probably be in vain.

"Father why do you have to go this far?! Just let Louis go! Do you really think Mom would like any of this?" Chat Noir argued with Hawkmoth, who narrowed his eyes at his son.

"You two forced my hand... I have spent years trying to get your miraculous in order to save your mother, you have only yourselves to blame for making me summon the Chrysalis of Paradise... I will build the perfect world for us, even if it means destroying this reality..." Hawkmoth explained and he looked up at Louis refer to him and looked straight at Hugo and Emma to refer to them as well, "your reality... the life you built for yourself... a family, I will destroy it to bring our lives back to way it was before..." When Hawkmoth said that, Chat Noir felt a burning anger when he mentioned the life that he had before.

"The life that I had before? My entire life! I've been controlled and caged, never allowed to have my own dreams or even think for myself! And let's not forget my own sentimonster incident from all those years ago," Chat Noir yelled at Hawkmoth, whose eyes widened at the mention of Adrien's sentimonster incident from when Emilie fell into her deep slumber all those years ago and how Adrien's memories messed up all those years ago. Hawkmoth remembered the ring that he wore that controlled Adrien and how Adrien had managed to break free of that spell and become his own person, "I have my own life now! I have dreams! And I have children of my own that I love with all my heart! Everything that I lacked before, and I don't want to go back. I don't want to remember that dark period of my life that was essentially a lie! Marinette was the only person who taught me that I have my own purpose and I have my own life. My family now taught me how to love and appreciate the freedom of life. I learned nothing from either of you..." Chat Noir spoke with a passion that laid dormant for a long time. He couldn't remember the last time he felt that way or even brought up the sentimonster incident that stemmed from Wishmaker all those years ago.

"You... made your choice..." Hawkmoth felt himself falter for a second, knowing how much that incident had traumatized Adrien, but he wanted to go back in order to redo that period of his life. That's what he wanted to create with both the Creation and Destruction miraculouses. A world where Adrien could no longer be afraid of him and his mother and grow up normally again. However, that time has passed, but Hawkmoth had no choice but continue to try to make his ideal a reality. Hawkmoth summoned his butterfly wings and flew up to where Louis was, who was listening the entire time. Louis didn't hear or even mention his dad tell that story often, when Adrien was possessed by a sentimonster for a good portion of his life. He knew that his dad didn't like to tell that story often, and Louis couldn't help but respect and love his dad more for it. It was hard and Louis knew that, and yet Louis was glad that he and his siblings were able to bring their dad out of that darkness. Louis noticed Hawkmoth touching the purple orb on his scepter and an akuma flew out of it, making its way over to Louis.

"Louis! You have to think positive thoughts! Don't let him akumatize you!" Chat Noir yelled at Louis, who did try to think positive thoughts through the pain, however it was nearly impossible to. Louis couldn't help but look at Elena, who was condemned to an eternity of torture in that chrysalis and was forced to serve Hawkmoth and the dark dominion that was negative emotions. He only felt worse as the akuma finally assimilated itself inside of his charm bracelet and he heard the voice of Hawkmoth in his head, "NOOO!"

"Chat Blanc, I am Hawkmoth, the despair of losing loved ones is always a grueling trial of life, let me help you silence that pain by giving you the power to let the world rot with time..." Hawkmoth proposed to Louis who struggled to stay conscious, resisting the akuma's influence. Chat Noir looked at Ladybug, who nodded quickly back and both of them sprung forward to help their son. Mayura and Lila sprang forward to meet them, but they were immediately countered by Hugo and Emma. Hawkmoth narrowed his eyes at their sudden actions and signaled the demon akuma to eat Louis. Before the demon akuma could bring Louis closer to its mouth, Ladybug threw and wrapped her yoyo around the akuma's arm and pulled back, preventing the akuma from bringing its arm any closer. Chat Noir took that chance to leap up onto the demon akuma's closed fist and was about to say Cataclysm before he saw Hawkmoth speeding towards him out of the corner of his eye and ram into Chat Noir with his scepter, which Chat Noir managed to block in time with his baton.

"AHH! Dad!" Louis strained to keep himself in check while he was still trying to fight the akuma. Louis felt like his head was splitting in half and the burning and electric pain just kept passing through him like a wave. Chat Noir heard his son's cry and felt a wave of adrenaline push him to get Hawkmoth off of him. What scared the superhero even more is that Louis' akuma is Chat Blanc, which is his own akuma. It didn't make any sense because Louis was already a white cat and Chat Noir figured his akuma would probably be something that would be opposite of him. The Lynx is not a white cat in physical nature, but the snowy environment and what the miraculous itself represents is what makes Louis' miraculous. However that didn't answer the question of why two people would have the same akuma.

"I won't let you interfere!" Hawkmoth roared as he tried to batter Chat Noir with his scepter in an attempt to get Chat Noir off of the akuma.

"You won't let me? There's nothing you can do that will keep me from my son," Chat Noir successfully blocked Hawkmoth's attacks and kept him at bay, but Louis was still struggling with the akuma in his bracelet. He heard the yells and sounds of fighting all around him, and he could hear the distant burning and crashing buildings in the distance. Louis thought to himself how could any of this get better? Could it? Can it? It can't. Everyone's trying so hard to save him, and that's because Louis was too weak to face the darkness head on. It was because of his own weakness and lack of ability that caused everything to turn out this way. That's what Louis told himself, and that's what he convinced himself to think. He really was pathetic. That's when all of a sudden, he heard another voice in his head, a very familiar voice. Louis suddenly opened his eyes and saw that Elena's body on the demon akuma looked more alive and some color returned to her eyes.

"Louis... you're not like that at all... you're far from weak... this isn't the Louis I know..." Louis felt Elena's presence resound in his head. It felt like time had stopped for a moment and that it was just the two of them in his own head, in a place that not even Hawkmoth could reach.

"Elena! How!? You're..." Louis started to say but words failed him as he couldn't express his surprise enough. Suddenly the world melted away around him and Elena's body that he saw in front of him was replaced by a more familiar sight, Elena in her normal outfit and looking brightly at him.

"I'm not exactly sure if I understand it myself, but remember when Hawkmoth used my soul and corrupted it with an akuma in order to turn me into that monster?" Elena explained as Louis nodded and noticed that he was no longer in his superhero form, but was wearing his normal civilian outfit, "When you also got akumatized, that was the moment that my soul could finally connect with yours and speak to you in this way. Being inside that Chrysalis of Paradise, I understand all of the akumas' powers are connected to a singular entity that represents negative emotions. So when you got akumatized, you were connected to that dark power that the akumas derive themselves off of, and my soul managed to find its way to you."

"I think I get it... it's about as complicated as what Glacies explains to me about his powers so..." Louis mulled over that for a couple of seconds before he heard Elena laugh and after a second, he joined with her laughing as well. After their laughter died down, Louis looked around them and marveled at the weird light pink universe that they were standing in. Afraid to ask, but steeling his nerves anyway, he called out, "So... are you really... dead?" Louis stepped forward a bit, but he was afraid to touch her as this all could just be a very cruel dream.

Elena nodded and looked sadly at him, "Mmhm, I'm dead... only my soul remains in the Chrysalis, but I'm currently a monster right now...listen we don't have much time, so I want you to know that you're not pathetic, and that all of this would have been a lot worse without you," Elena reassured Louis, but he didn't really believe that although he wish he could.

"You don't know that... maybe Mom and Dad would have been able to take down Hawkmoth without us, without the fear of protecting us in the way, they would been able to stop him... What was I thinking?" Louis cursed himself for even changing his mind in the first place. The original plan was just to help the citizens evacuate and then evacuate themselves and get as far away from Paris as possible. That was what his parents told him in case if this ever happened. However Louis got worried and came back in order to not only help his parents but get revenge for Elena and Gavin.

"You did what your heart wanted you to do... and no one can blame you for that. How many fifteen year teens can do what you do? This world is more dangerous than it has ever been because of Hawkmoth and yet you brave it all with your siblings... I can't think of anyone who would have the courage but you," Elena stepped forward, coming face to face with the boy she loves. It's hard to see him so hopeless and downtrodden, but she knows that Louis has what it takes to get through this. Knowing his secret identity, she now understood the kind of pressure he was under. The people of Paris actually had a great deal of mistrust towards Louis' superhero persona because of senseless rumors that the White Fang was actually a reincarnated form of Chat Blanc. With the power to destroy the universe with a single Cataclysm, fear seemed to rule people's minds without thinking of the consequences. Being witness to his miraculous' power seemed to be a confirmation of that because of the sheer power that Louis possessed. Elena realized that the happy, charismatic boy that she grew to know and love was also suffering under the weight of trying to prove that he wasn't his father's akumatized form and saving all of Paris at the same time, "Despite everything," Elena took both of her hands and cupped Louis' face to meets hers, "You still came as a hero to save Paris, and I will always know what you did for this city. You may think that you lost Paris' trust, but your parents trust you, your siblings trust you, and Gavin and I trust you," Elena saw so many emotions in Louis' eyes, the regret and appreciation that she could feel from him, it made her a tad bit emotional.

"Ok..." Louis whispered, repeating that word again louder for himself to hear, "Ok! I won't let you down... but how do I save you now? I don't want you to suffer like this," Louis tried to remember Elena just like this: her smile, her dress, and her eyes because this was probably the last time he would ever see her again.

"Even if you were to destroy my demon akuma form, my soul would just go back into the Chrysalis of Paradise, I understood that when I first died... and when I saw the inside of that thing..." Louis noticed that Elena was shaking at just the mention of what it's like inside the chrysalis. Her eyes became misty and tears were threatening to fall from her eyes. Without saying anything else, Louis stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her in a hug. He felt Elena cry against his shoulder and Louis knew that this was he could do for her now. Elena could be peace despite being tortured for an eternity knowing that Louis would still be fighting for the freedom of Paris. That fact didn't make Louis feel better at all, but he knew that it was the last solace he could give her. Louis used his hand to cradle the back of her head as he continued to hug her and in the distance, Louis could see a pair of purple butterflies fluttering around each other.

"Are those our akumas?" Louis murmured and Elena separated from him to look at them as well and she nodded in response.

"Mmm... They are... what do we do with them?" Elena asked as Louis walked past her and up to the akumas that were fluttering about. They didn't fly away, but they didn't make any moves to come closer. Elena walked up beside him and stared questioningly at the two fluttering butterflies in question.

"The fact that they're fluttering around each other means that our akumas are connected to each other right? I think we could purify the akumas from within ourselves... if that makes sense..." Louis asked as he remembered that both him and Elena were akumatized and their connection to the Chrysalis of Paradise was through Hawkmoth's power. The both of them purifying the akumas within this plane of existence would equate to them fighting off the akuma's influence, or at least that's what Louis hoped would happen. Elena nodded at his deduction and the two of them stared the butterflies for a moment before Elena spoke up through the silence.

"Louis.. do me a favor and tell my mom and dad what happened to me... they're probably worried that I've been missing this entire time," Elena asked without looking at him and she noticed Louis looking at her in surprise at the request. Louis looked away from her for a moment as if he was considering her request and pressed his lips together in thought, "I know that you already told Auntie Alya and Uncle Nino about what happened to Gavin, so I suppose it's not fair to ask you to deliver more bad news, but just make sure that someones tells them?" Elena asked hopefully and Louis looked back at her with a soft look on his face.

"Yeah I will... and Elena... wait for me okay?" Louis held out his hand and in turn, Elena nodded and held out her hand to the akumas and they fluttered excitedly as they shone with a bright white light. The pair used their other hands to hold each other's hand as the world around faded away once again. The light shone brightly and Louis found himself back within the grip of the demon akuma within the Eiffel Tower. However this time, Elena's body was shining with a bright white light and Louis found himself being released from the demon akuma's grip. Hawkmoth looked at the demon akuma in shock as Chat Noir leaped down from the demon akuma to help Louis and Hawkmoth stayed in midair to observe the demon akuma.

"How!? The demon akuma is... purifying itself?!" Hawkmoth exclaimed as Louis saw the akuma from his bracelet leave him and turn into a blank white butterfly again. Louis laughed in relief, feeling the exhaustion wash over him and he collapsed on the floor with Chat Noir tending to him.

"Louis! Are you ok?" Chat Noir asked worriedly as Louis detransformed and struggled to stay on his knees. Glacies came out of Louis' charm bracelet and floated over to Louis' shoulder and collapsed on his back to rest.

"Yeah sorry Dad I'm just..." Louis took a deep breath as he tried to form out the rest of the sentence and he looked up at the demon akuma that was dematerializing right in front of him. Everyone watched in amazement as the demon akuma broke until just the body remained in the air and Louis watched with a broken heart as Elena's body turned back into a wisp and flowed right back in the Chrysalis of Paradise. Louis sighed and tried to get back up to his feet with his dad helping him up. Hawkmoth looked back at Louis, knowing that the boy had something to do with the sudden purification of the akuma.

"Boy what did you do?!" Hawkmoth snarled angrily as the rest of Louis' family rushed to his defense, protecting him from Hawkmoth's potential attacks.

"I just got through to her... that's all... nothing to it," Louis replied cheekily with a smirk, wincing from the pain that was coursing through his body, his mind felt so tired and exhausted. Louis felt Glacies at his shoulder, watching the whole chaos around them. Louis didn't know if Glacies had enough energy for another transformation but they had no choice but to somehow make it work. Hawkmoth grit his teeth and brandished his staff at the Chrysalis of Paradise again and Louis scoffed at his action, "You won't be able to summon her soul again..."

"And why not!?" Hawkmoth narrowed his eyes at the boy, who seemed confident about this matter. Louis raised his eyebrows at the Hawkmoth as if the answer was obvious.

"Because she's made her peace with being in that place... her negative emotions... are no longer keeping her chained there. She may have to spend an eternity in there... but at least, she's not afraid anymore..." Louis sighed knowing that it would take a miracle to save her or anyone that was taken by the Chrysalis of Paradise. Knowing that made him feel a little hopeless, however Louis knows that Elena could bear with the eternal pain knowing that he's still out here fighting. Does that make him feel better? Not exactly, however, it does give Louis another reason to stop Hawkmoth in his diabolical plan.

"If that's the case, then I think it's time to end this farce..." Hawkmoth's gaze hardened on Louis and the villain snapped his fingers, causing the Chrysalis of Paradise to open once again, but this time let out a powerful burst of ominous wind that shook the Eiffel Tower. Louis covered his face from the wind but he felt his body being blown away by the hurricane force winds, "You've thwarted my plans long enough Louis! Now it's time for you to give me what's mine!" Louis heard the yells of his family as they all tried to brace themselves in the howling winds. Within the hurricane, Louis could hear the screams of the people, the souls of the innocent that were trapped within that thing. Louis raised his head from his arms to look at the Chrysalis of Paradise to see multiple vines of malignant energy shooting out of it as if it was searching for something.

"Louis look out!" Glacies shouted just as Louis realized that these vines were searching for them, seeking to drag them inside the Chrysalis of Paradise. Louis didn't where he could run to, but when he attempted to move, the wind blew him off his feet and Louis could feel the vines wrap around his arms and upper body.

"Ahhhh!" Louis got caught and the vines held him above the Chrysalis of Paradise and he could feel the familiar burning and electric pain from before. Louis looked to his left and right and found that Hugo and Emma had also gotten caught. Louis also noticed that Chat Noir and Ladybug had somehow managed to escape the vines as the winds died down. With that, Louis knew what was going to happen next: it was game over.

"I'm done playing games..." Hawkmoth snarled as Hugo and Emma screamed in pain from the burning and electric pain of the binds. Louis could also feel himself groan in pain, the pain was a lot worse in civilian form as Louis no longer had the enhanced endurance of a superhero form. Ladybug and Chat Noir looked in horror as Hawkmoth stood in front of the Chrysalis of Paradise, all three Agreste children held in the air above him as if they were being hanged, "You two are going to give me your miraculous... otherwise, your children are going to be offered to the Chrysalis and I will take their miraculous..."

Louis looked at Chat Noir's face, his dad's face, and saw in his eyes that he already arrived at his answer. However, Louis didn't like the answer, "Dad! Don't! You can't give it to him- AUGHHH!" Louis screamed in pain as he felt the pain around his body multiply tenfold and he felt himself hang his head as he no longer had the strength to look up.

"Louis!" Chat Noir yelled, tears forming in his eyes, "Hawkmoth please don't hurt him!" Louis struggled to breathe as he slowly raised his head to look at his parents and the looks on their faces broke his heart. They looked so conflicted, but Louis could tell that both of them had come to a silent consensus.

"Maman..." Emma tried to breathe out as she tried to bear the pain of the binds. Ladybug and Chat Noir looked worriedly at their daughter who was also suffering, "Paris needs you both... you can't win without your powers... don't worry about us... when you beat Hawkmoth... you could just say Miraculous Ladybug... and it'll all be over right?" Emma asked hopefully, blinking away the tears from the pain she felt.

Ladybug held her hands up to her face to muffle her sobs, hearing her daughter's pained yet hopeful voice just broke her, "That's... Emm.." Ladybug couldn't say anymore as sobs erupted from her mouth, stopping her words.

"Does it even work that way?" Hugo asked, letting out a gasp of pain, gritting his teeth and moving around in his binds to find a way to somehow relieve himself of the pain.

"Who knows..." Louis replied, wincing from the pain, "but Mom.. Dad... I know this is... an impossible choice to make... but... I'm not afraid... so don't be afraid... ok?" Louis asked his parents, pleading with them not to give up here, even if it meant that their lives were on the line. Chat Noir and Ladybug looked at their oldest son with an unbelieving look on their face as they both knew that their children were in an unbearable amount of pain. Their son trying to reassure them here broke their hearts because that meant that Louis was prepared to die for this, for this war when they wanted their children to be as far away from this as possible.

"Are you telling me that you're prepared to die?" Hawkmoth asked as he held his hand out to the three vines that held the children and commanded that more power be pulsed through them. Ladybug and Chat Noir heard their children's screams and groans of pain and they didn't know how much more they could take. After a while, Emma and Hugo's transformations wore off and they were returned to their civilian form, their kwamis floating to their side and collapsing on their shoulders being completely devoid of strength, "So are you really going to let your children die? The more time it takes for you to decide, they might be dead before I bring them into the Chrysalis."

"My Lady? What are we going to do?" Chat Noir asked, feeling extremely anxious from the limited time they had left. Ladybug looked at him and then at their children who were struggling to stay conscious despite the pain.

"What's more important... our miraculous? Or our children's lives?" Ladybug asked, already knowing the answer. However, even if she were to go with her answer, their children's lives may be forfeit anyway. If there was any way Ladybug could buy them more time to live to find a way to get as far away from this place, then she would. Chat Noir nodded and looked back up at Louis who caught his eyes and they both silently knew the answer that they came with. Without the miraculous of Creation and Destruction, they will lose; however, if Adrien and Marinette were to lose their children, that was when they would truly lose. Louis tried to shake his head, trying to disagree with Chat Noir's decision, but his father already made up his mind.

"Plagg, Claws in."

"Tikki, Spots off."

Marinette and Adrien looked at both their kwamis, an apologetic look on their faces. Plagg looked at the situation they were and the kids that were currently being subjected to torture, with a grim look on the kwami's face, he understood.

"This is quite the foul smelling camembert you've taken on bud... I'm sorry... for not being able to be better..." Plagg looked tearfully as Adrien hugged his partner by the hand.

"And forgive me... for giving you up again..." Adrien had his hand on his ring, sliding it off his finger and he noticed Plagg giving him one last nod before returning to his ring. Marinette looked at Tikki and both of them cried in unison, telling each other good bye.

"You're just doing what you have to do..." Tikki cried and Marinette nodded in understanding.

"My lucky charm won't fix things this time... forgive me..." Marinette took off her earrings and Tikki returned into the earrings.

Both heroes held their miraculous in their hands and held them tightly in their fists as Adrien and Marinette both walked forward to give up their miraculous. Louis could only watch in despair as every step they take towards Hawkmoth is another step they take towards ruin. Louis tried to find the last of his strength in order to protest against his parents' decision.

"No... don't! You... can't let him win!" Louis whimpered as he found that he no longer had the strength to even protest properly. Louis started to cry in frustration because this was not the way it was supposed to end. Weren't they supposed to beat the villain and save the day? What were they even doing here? Louis looked to his right to find that Emma didn't even seem conscious anymore, her eyes were glazed over in a silent pain that seemed completely void of light, "Emma?" Louis asked quietly, his voice cracking, feeling his body give up and he felt limp suspended in midair. She didn't answer, but Louis could see the tears stream down her cheeks, and he couldn't help burst his tears at the sight, sobbing and biting his lip to keep himself from revealing any further weakness. Hugo on the other side of Louis felt the exact same way, scrunching his eyes together in frustration and silently sobbing from the pain and their defeat. Louis looked down to see Hawkmoth holding out his hand and his parents walking up to him, staring at the villain's hand for a moment. Louis let out an exhale of exhaustion and watched despairingly as Adrien and Marinette looked at their miraculous for the last time before placing it in Hawkmoth's hands.

"It's all over..." Louis simply said, closing his eyes.
