Jay began to recover.
- What happened? - he asked, placing his hand on his bandaged forehead.
- You've suffered a head injury, you need to rest,- said the sergeant thoughtfully, who never left Jay alone, not even for a moment.
- Damn my head bursts. - it was like he was trying to hold It still with both hands.
Unfortunately, the blows to his head are very delicate and although the tac had not shown anything worrying it would have had to pass some time before he could fully recover.
As soon as Jay recovered the sergeant went out for a moment and called Dr. Choi so that he could give him something to manage the pain. But the detective was adamant he didn't want anything and he was getting more and more agitated.
Slowly he seemed to calm down. He was paler than before, his freckles contrasting sharply with the rest of his skin.
-Jay is quiet, he rests .. I'm here with you - said the sergeant when finally the detective is convinced by agreeing to take something.
- Will, where are you? Come and get me, take me with you ...- he said letting himself be overcome by tiredness and drugs falling asleep again, leaving everyone present in the room doubtful because they did not understand the meaning of what the detective had said.
Meanwhile, Antonio had also arrived at the hospital to see how his dear friend was having learned of the accident and so, knowing that Jay was not alone, Voight had gone to see Will.
The doctor was awake at the time and was happy to meet the sergeant. The first thing he said to him, amid chatter besides the fact that he was fine (which wasn't entirely possible for someone who had recently gotten out of surgery) was to ask about Jay.
- Where is my brother? I haven't seen him yet. -
The sergeant was torn, Will was in a delicate condition so he only replied:
- He don't worry, he'll be here soon ...-
After being with him for a while longer he took his leave and went back to his detective.
