Will, as his brother, had to stay still in bed, he suffered. He had a very sad expression on his face.

He was a man of the world. He hated being alone especially at that particular moment. This was how he felt even though Meggie, Ethan, April, Connor, Charles often visited him.

- Will then how are you? - Ethan asked

- Well,- replied the doctor sadly.

- The saturation has improved significantly, tomorrow we could take off the oxygen cannula.- continued Choi

- Okay,- he replied

- Are you sure everything's okay? - Choi asked again

A deep sadness filled the doctor's heart accentuated by the loneliness he felt.

Yes he felt physically tired, but above all psychologically. Everything he had lived through had consumed all his energy. he thought that returning to Chicago after a period would allow him to close a chapter of his life to start a new one.

But that was not the case.

- Yes, well,- Halstead replied to his colleague without looking at him.

Dr. Choi knew something was wrong and he wanted to be able to get Will to talk.

He was taking a chair to position himself next to him also intending to pull the words out of his mouth if necessary when his pager started ringing calling him urgently to another room.

As soon as he stepped out of Halstead's room, into the corridor, Ethan caught a glimpse of Dr. Charles and stopped him even if he was running for a few moments.

- Doctor Charles please have a chat with Will. I see it a bit strange. - and having said that he headed towards the room where the blue code was triggered.

Doctor Charles, on the other hand, wasted no time and decided to immediately check how his friend was doing.

Halstead was a very good person who was liked by everyone, it was impossible not to be friends with him. He never said no and went out of his way to help others even more than he could.

Charles continued walking down the corridor and only stopped as soon as he reached the door of Will's room.

It didn't take him long to realize that Ethan was right.

Halstead stood there motionless with his face towards the window.

On the table the breakfast that hadn't been touched in the least.

He absolutely had to talk to him.
