Dear readers, This chapter is comparatively bigger than the first two episodes .There will be many like this throughout the whole story,you can call these- [speacial episodes]whatever it dosent mean that, the other chapters are not special. Its just a gear up to the plot.
Let us have a short recap: while everyone in Granger's mansion were spending a normal holiday weekend,Max's mom aka Judy sketched an idea to double the enjoyment.After coming to the Dojo,Judy announced that ,she had arranged a super plan for the holiday week.she suggested a trip to an unknown town named 'HINIBAN VALLEY'.
Friday,9:40am:
A typical war-like preparation is now ahead in Granger's mansion.After Judy ,just like a clarion trumpeter has declared the mission to her soldiers. The boys and girls are getting up together,helping each other in their packings.After a long session in tution , kenny also joins the crew.He then visits Hiro to fetch out the whole details of the plannings as stated by Judy.
"A bus will be waiting for us in the nearby Bus Stop.Jacob told me to be ready within 11am.. ". Hiro starts to describe ."And then he will drop us to the Kanzuzaka Railway station, a few miles in the south."
"And the train's timing?"Kenny asks ,putting up his glasses.
"Hm.It is quite fast, at around 11:30 am".
"What?But isn't it a bit too hurry for us,".Kenny raises his concern that some of them including
Hilary and Kai may face some troubles to reach in time.
"You are right kenny,but we have no choice.The Hotel's recruitment officers do not allow registrations of citizens and tourists outside the town after 12:30pm", turning to the blue sky Hiro continues his talk,"These two , I mean Hilary and Kai have worked hard for the team,Missing these two can act upon the whole crew ,sigh!"he finishes with a disappointment.
"Hmm,I hope they can reach in time."Kenny whispers underneath his breath.
yesterday night 8:00pm: "oh hello,kenny" a Japenese brunette is talking to one of his best friends in her telephone.
"About,tommorow?No, I will be late, I am going to meet my granny in the next town.She is ill".
Nodding at the replies from her friend in the phone,she remains silent for few seconds.
"It will take me 11:30 am to go there".she curves the wire of the landline phone of her house for several times.
"Hilary,where are you? I have already served the dinner, come here",a woman's voice rises from the kitchen.
The voice make hilary to stop the conversation.She put the reciever on its place and heads towards her kitchen.
"Mom,what is in dinner...".
Friday,morning,10:20 am:
The Tachibana's residence is in the heart of the town.Mrs.Tachibana,an hard worker,is busy in the garden as usual.She clears the sweat from her forehead after Sweeping away all the faded leaves and watering some flower plants .Then she cuts the bonsai tree to give it a perfect shape.
"And now the most difficult task " she sighes ,looking at a window of the upper storey.
"Hilary,Hilary"she calls her one and only precious daughter.By now,she has the idea that Hilary must be sleeping . But when she discovers the brunette just beside her in the garden,it almost shocked her."Oh are you okay Hilary".She checks her temperature to find out whether she is ill or not.
"Oh,mom I am just fine.But now, I want to tell you something." Lowering her face she begins her statement "Mom,actually,...actually I can't go to visit granny because,because... Tyson just called me and informed me about the plan and I cant join you because we have to go within 11 am,"Her hesitation is clear in her startling voice.She does not want to miss the trip neither to deny her mother.
Mrs.Tachibana is well aware of Hilary's state of mind.She holds her hand and give her a smile.A smile, that can only give you comfort.Well it's a mother - daughter relationship ,sometimes enemies ,sometimes dearing friends.She is not angry at this.She only wants her to enjoy her life,like most of the mothers want.
"But mom,I aso want to live with you". Hilary didn't get too much time this year to spend with her family.This years world championship was mostly played outside of japan,and then the Justice Five Battle . Ever since the Beyblade season has started this year ,her story remains the same.
"Your father is outstation.Dont worry Hillary I will live with your granny ".Atleast it can assure her daughter that she is not alone.
10:30am: Hilary is all prepared to join the crew.She picks up her pink suitcase,and a white backpack designed with blue border lines.She waves her hand in order to bid good bye to her mother"Good-bye , mom".
"Bye honey,take care".She smiles ,while Hillary steps back from the pavement and checks her wrist watch.
"I have enough time,I think",Hillary whispers.
Meanwhile in Hiwatari Enterprise,
A round of applause raises around a dark oak table in a meeting room.
" Three cheers for Mr.Hiwatari, hip hip hurrah!"
Staffs and employeess are celebrating a ocassion in such a manner as if their respective countries have won world cup.
"Mr .Hiwatari ,I am impressed .I hope our relations will be the same in future.The deal is finalized.This is the documents and here is the hard copy" an middle aged old man appers in the front of the celebration room.He seems to be happy at the hospitality of the company's president.Then he shakes hand with another middle aged old man who is little bit of shorter than him.He greeted him as VOLTAIRE HIWATARI.
"I am happy that your grandson is serious about your business".The old man then points a young and muscular guy in the celebration room .He is in his middle 17's.His dark grey bangs are leaning to the oak table as he bends towards a laptop.He is not participating in the celebration, though he is the cause of it.
"Hey,kai come here,Governor wants to talk with you"Voltaire asks the young gun to meet the governor in front of the room.
"kai your presentation was brilliant .If yoy dont mind,we can meet in a dinner at my home.I like energetic young folks like you.So?He politely asks kai.
"I am sorry sir,I have no time today". kai gives his stock reply as cool as an ice.He then throws his glances towards his grandfather and simply makes his way.
Voltaire regrets to the governor for his grandson's behaviour.He promises to punish Kai next time.But the governor stops him .He only appreciates kai in his business tone,"Good things are always costly .Mr.Hiwatari ,your grandson is a jewel .I hope to see him again."
10:45 am: kai returns home in his official workplace outfit .His driver Gonzalez has dropped him fast to his home,which is almost in the centre of the city.The city is sleepless ,the people are here and there in the roads ,busy in their own world.A giant screen is attached to the news station building .
"The weather is good till now.But as the reoorts there are chances of heavy rain in tokyo and in the adjacent areas." a woman is describing the wather report can be seened in the giant screen.While describing she uses the map of Japan and points to the red spot near tokyo.
"Oh kai you are back. How was your meeting?a woman appears from the back in kai's room.She is wearing a sweater over a skirt and tights.
"Boring". Kai sighes and sits back to his chair.
"Mr.kai hiwatari there is a SOS messege for you".kai's landline phone rings up."Hi kai,its Tyson . Today we have planned a trip .I know you must be in the meeting,so I am leaving a messege.And ,Join us before 11am .Or you will miss the chance".
Kai's eyes widened as he rolls his eyes over the wall clock it's10:50!
He stands up from the chair ,Almost shocked at this sudden news.What can he do.It's only 10 minutes left in his hand.He has no preparation ,no luggage is ready.So the only option left is to call back Tyson and inform him that he will not be able to join.
"Kai!There is a problem .Hana is missing!".The woman rushes into the room .
"what!" ,Kai is shocked again.This time the concern is more clear in his face.Hana always comes to kai whenever he returns home.But today she didn't come.
"I am going to find Hana ,mother". He runs out of the room.
"wait kai!,You even dont know where she is". kai's mother tries to stop her but she failed.
Kai hasn't heard it ,he keeps running, out of the main gate and to the pavements in the busy roads.
"Hana!Hana!" he shouts and turns his head here and there to find Hana.
On the other side Hillary has also speed up her run,as she rushes through the crowd and to the crossings.
"I have three to four minutes in hand.Still two zebra crossings and a petrol pump and two apartments and a park to cross".She sighes."You can do it Hilary,you can do it"ahe cheers up herself closing her eyes she tries to put some more power in her feets.
(Dont try to do that in reality)
"My dog,my dog,somebody help"A voice arises fron her front.Hilary opens her eyes and faces a yellow-white mix colour dog running across the cars in the road.And a kid running after him.
"Please stop him!",the boy shouts .
Now Hillary have two option's in her hand.
Number 1- to left the dog and run to destination .
Number 2- To help the kid catching the dog ,and miss the trip.
The time in hillary's wrist watch is now10:56am.
