Chapter 5
Gene slowly opens his eyes to see Louise making noises at a different dark green dragon, with bits of amber scales and a slightly darker underbelly. They seemed to be talking with each other. Gene got up quickly and looked around. It seemed to be a really spacious cave with holes that look like they lead to a different part of the cave. Gene turned his attention back to the two dragons and the dark green dragon was close up to him with Louise looking from behind the dragon. Gene stood still because the dragon gave him a sweet smile, and he smiled back at it. Louise talked to the dragon in well..some kind of language? It didn't matter though, because the dark green dragon was listening. They backed up but they kept looking at each other and Gene and chatting. Gene didn't know what to do, he just looked around and saw his family (plus Rudy) in a small pile, all of them leaning on each other unconscious. Gene ran up to them and looked at Louise and she walked up to him and nodded at him and smiled……he didn't know what that meant. He inspected them and had a worried look on his face. Louise walked back to the other dragon and kept looking back at him. The two dragons talked a lot more and eventually Tina woke up. Tina saw the dark green dragon and just sat there watching with a stressed expression. "Tina it's fine..I think.?" Gene said. "Are you sure? If that's Louise then who's that?" Tina responded. "I uhh..don't know. But I'm guessing it's safe since it's not attacking us and Louise is chatting with it in some way." Gene said. "Oh, well that makes it much better, I love the wings of that dark green dragon. It looks like a huge leaf, I wonder how they fly?" Tina said. "Wait, where's my journal?! Did I leave it at home? I know I was holding it!" " You don't have it, I checked." Said Gene. "Why did you check?" "Uhhm..Reasons." Gene said. "Well, I'm sure it's probably at home." Tina said. "Yeah..". Tina and Gene talked about the crazy things that happened in just a few hours. The dragons were talking to each other in a whole nother' language that was for sure not a language on earth, or, they've just never known it. But it didn't sound like anything either Gene or Tina had heard. Linda woke up as well, as Gene and Tina made up different dragons they thought they might see, or just for fun. "Ohh..my head kinda hurts. Oh!" Linda said and she looked around, kinda amazed on what this place is. "This looks fun! Wait, what's that?" She looked at the dragons and then her kids. "Oh my babies are ok! Where's everyone else?" She said and she hugged both of them at the same time. Tina and Gene were sat down with a scroll drawing their made-up dragons. At one point Louise saw them bored and gave them a scroll and an ink holder to draw or write with. Gene made such a mess with the ink. Gene once again explained about the Dark Green dragon and about Bob and Rudy, who were still unconscious to Linda and he told her what they were doing. She understood well, greeted Louise and joined Gene and Tina in their little game. Linda made weird voices for each dragon they drew. Tina drew Louise rather well, but there were some flaws. They did different things like playing games, exploring, and having fun with the two dragons.
At the Restaurant
It was early in the morning when Teddy had run by the restaurant since he was late for a job of his. He glanced up at the sign while he was running and above he saw the broken bathroom window and stopped. "OoooOOooh no no!" Teddy ran up to the restaurant and looked up and started yelling "Bob!! Bobby! Are you there?! The window is broken! Are you ok?" Up at the broken window. He ran up to the door panicky and tried to use the key that Bob had trusted him with to open the house. Teddy struggled with it until he noticed it was already unlocked, "huh?" He opened it, ran upstairs and started calling for anyone who might be there and he looked everywhere, but nobody. Nobody was there..and Teddy was worried and clueless. He leaned and sat against a wall, confused, he thought of different places to try to find out what happened.
Back at ???
Rudy and Bob had woken up. Rudy coughed and used his inhaler often, and Bob being told what was happening as Louise and the dragon with leaf-looking wings came up to them. Louise used her tail to lightly sweep everyone together. The leaf-winged dragon was circling so they couldn't escape the circle. Louise looked over all of them and gave each of them a glass of water that seemed to be from home. She pushed them around a little and made it so they were in a row. She left the room for a minute and the leaf-winged dragon spectated them. They stayed still and Louise had come back not long after. She held a small bottle of colorful liquid. She poured a little of the liquid and each cup turned into a different color. Gene's was orange, Tina's was a dark blue, Rudy's was red, Linda's was Purple, and Bob's was a mixture of black and white. They were all still in a row and waited as the dragons nodded at each other and Louise hit each glass out of their hands, spilling over everyone.
