Wild Arms: To the End of the Wilderness
Chapter Thirty: Destructive Power Running Rampant
Written by Estrelita Farr
.
Far southeast from Adlehyde, Pandemonium was an old castle in the middle of a wide barren plain, an old battlefield from the Great Demon War a thousand years ago. The gate was open, as though to invite the wanderers in, and they entered slowly, cautiously. Inside was a torn entrance hall, the bricks covered in old cuts and burns, the red carpet frayed from age.
There, a familiar purple portal greeted them – a monster portal.
Hanpan groaned. "One of those already?"
The sorceress readied her magic staff. "What a tough welcome… I'm sure there must be something here."
Rudy nodded as he gripped his ARM.
Jack shifted into a battle stance. "Well, we've got things to do so let's get this out of the way!"
What stepped out of the portal was a large reptilian beast, with scales as black as night, the brown fins flaring from either sides of its head. As it stood on two hind legs, at its back was a rounded black shell like that of a turtle yet covered in black and brown spikes. It spread its front claws with a growl, claws larger than a human head.
As always Jack was the first to strike, blade shining from within the blur circling the monster. But it didn't even flinch. It lumbered forward and slammed a fist towards him, only to miss and send cracks snaking across the floor.
ROAR. Flash!
An explosion at its head, an eruption of flames at its feet. More shining slashes from the side.
But it emerged unscathed. Not a scratch, not even a blackened mark. Growling, it lowered its head, and a spike at its back shot upward and rushed at the wanderers in a cloud of smoke.
Blast.
Cecilia's smoking barrier flickered away, revealing a large burnt mark on the floor, and they resumed attacking.
But the beast's shell was sturdy, repelling bullets, blades and magic. Even with Cecilia's strengthening spell, no matter how they attacked, it remained unscathed as it countered with an explosive spike from its back. Sometimes it released a breath of ghastly purple fumes at them, at which they held their breaths as Cecilia blew it out of the front entrance with wind magic.
"Damn!" Jack cursed. "None of our attacks are working on it! Any bright ideas, pardner?!"
Hanpan, who had been standing at the far back with his chin in his paw, nodded. "I do, actually. Rudy and Jack, distract it! Cecilia, listen carefully, you're the core of this plan!"
"Leave it to me!" A grin as he disappeared into a blur.
Rudy nodded and followed after him while Cecilia retreated back towards the Wind Mouse.
The beast slammed a claw on the floor and more cracks snaked across the hall. Jack yelled nonsense at it as he circled around the back, smacking at its shell with his sheathed katana. Rudy approached from the front and swung his sword, ARM hanging at his back. Irritated, the beast growled as it countered with a rain of exploding spikes, but from the smoke the two emerged and continued to distract it.
"Step back!" Cecilia shouted, light flaring from the Teardrop.
As the two retreated, Fire Guardian Moor Gault emerged with a shriek, four wings of fire spread, and plunged the hall into a fiery hell.
Yet the beast continued to charge, unaffected. Rudy hurriedly stepped forward to catch its claw with his sword. Jack continued to smack at its shell, drawing more irritated growls.
Moor Gault's fire concentrated on the beast's shell. For a moment there seemed to be no effect, then a tinge of red appeared – dim at first, growing brighter and brighter until the shell was blazing orange red like smouldering steel. The heat forced the two swordsmen back and they switched to ARM shots and Speed Fang.
"Keep distracting it!" Hanpan shouted. "Cecilia, now for the next step!"
The sorceress responded by reaching into the Guardians' abyss once more. As Moor Gault disappeared, Ice Guardian Aru Sulato materialised in a blizzard that turned the hall white. Gigantic ice spikes shot up from the ground and encased the beast in a frozen prison.
A moment passed. And another.
Crack! A loud noise rang across the hall, like a boulder cracking open. When the beast emerged from the ice, a crack ran along its sturdy black shell, exposing the soft inner shell.
"Chance!" Jack cried as he swung.
A shining slash splattered blood. A roar of pain shook the walls.
Without that impervious outer shell, the beast was just like any other they had defeated in the wilderness. Before long it gave one final roar and collapsed onto the floor, and there it lay unmoving. The wanderers didn't cast it a second glance as they started towards the other end of the hallway, steeling themselves for another battle–
A chuckle. They skidded to a stop, weapons raised.
Alhazad hovered above them, the white robe billowing. He raised a claw curled around the limp figure of a young woman – wasn't that Lady Harken? The one Jack had called–
"Elmina?!" Jack exclaimed. He charged, sheathed katana shining–
Blast.
Just as he passed the beast's fallen body, it exploded into ghastly purple fumes. Suddenly sapped of strength, the wanderers collapsed onto the floor.
Cecilia couldn't even raise her head. "I… I can't move…"
Alhazad chuckled. "Even strong warriors are frail when caught off guard."
"What are you doing, Alhazad?!" Jack cried. "Is that… Elmina… isn't she one of your comrades?!"
"Comrade? Yes, that is correct, she is what we need for our plan." He held the woman up with one claw, the other caressing her cheek. "That is why she is serving us…"
"Grr… you…!"
Rudy tried to rise, but his arms shook before giving way.
Alhazad laughed. "Now I am beginning something that cannot be disturbed… I want you all to be silent."
Jack fought to remain awake, but he, too, slumped onto the floor… then everything around him turned black.
.

.
When Jack stirred, he found himself locked behind metal bars without a single piece of furniture. Perhaps underground, by the looks of the rocky walls.
A prison.
Gritting his teeth, he slammed a fist into the wall. "Dammit! We're all in this mess because of my carelessness!" Another punch. And another. "Dammit! DAMMIT!"
"Hey, quit it!" a loud squeak came from his pocket, from which Hanpan's frowning face poked out. "Why are you doing that?!"
"Just… checking for numbness…"
"What?"
"Uh… never mind." He straightened. "I think I've recovered."
"You'd better be…" He hopped down and glanced around. "Just us, huh? I hope the others are okay."
"If we are, I'm sure they are." A grin. "Come on, let's escape, pardner!"
Without a weapon, Jack didn't even think about cutting down the metal bars. He tried to break down the door with sheer strength, but he wasn't Rudy so all that resulted was the sight of his trembling back as he clutched at his painfully red hand. Hanpan snickered.
The Wind Mouse tried to squeeze between the metal bars, but a flash of dark blue sent him rolling back. Rolling and rolling… then he hit the wall upside down, and only then did he notice the dark blue fog occasionally swirling between the bars. It was Jack's turn to snicker.
A quick search around the cell soon revealed an air vent, with just enough space between the bars for Hanpan to squeeze through, and there wasn't any of that dark blue fog.
"Hanpan, can you fit?" Jack asked. "You have short legs."
The Wind Mouse's fur bristled. "You're always picking on my size!" He gave a huff and smoothed his fur. "But I see, it's my turn this time."
"Yes, please. We have to unlock this cell somehow." He gave a thumbs-up and a grin. "It's up to you now, pardner!"
He grinned back. "Nice to see you're finally appreciating my talents. I'll see what I can do!"
Squeezing past the metal bars without much trouble, Hanpan made his way along the metal tunnel. An upward slope, a left turn, a curve to the right, then it widened into a network of interlocking tunnels across the entire castle. Nothing blocked or attacked him aside from the occasional gust that he just sped through – he was a Wind Mouse, after all! – so he was free to scurry wherever he wanted. Tsk, such a security oversight.
He explored the underground prison, checking up on Rudy and Cecilia (who seemed fine) in their separate cells and taking note of where their weapons were kept. But he didn't find a way to free them, and his only clue was a lone stone console with the following text on the screen, "State the name of the power that seals the prison."
He climbed the air vent out of the prison area. The ground floor of the castle had nothing special, just demon guards patrolling along the red carpet that lined the stone hallways and their facilities. But, as he climbed, the air began to crackle, his fur standing on end from the pulsating magic that grew denser the higher he went. What in the world were the demons up to…?
Then, his ears perked up at familiar voices. Moving as quietly as he could, keeping himself in the shadows, he peered out of the nearest vent opening.
Alhazad and, surprisingly, Zeikfried.
"Entropy is the inevitable progression of life throughout nature," Alhazad said. "Chaos arising from order. But there is one exception – life creating life, the exception that escapes entropy's domain. But to create life is a woman's power… so I gave her the important task of 'giving birth' to the dark light that undermines all life."
Zeikfried shook his head. "When you wanted to bring a filthy human wretch among us, I was filled with disbelief… but I understand now. It was all in preparation for this time, this day."
A chuckle. "That is giving me too much credit. It was also for my own interests. It is glorious to appreciate something beautiful."
"That is not quite right… do you not mean it is glorious to destroy something beautiful?"
Alhazad gave a low metallic laugh.
Hanpan flattened himself against the wall as the demons passed by, then stalked them from the vent.
"What will you do with the Guardians' shaman and warriors?" Alhazad asked.
"I had them thrown into the underground prison."
He whirled around to face him. "Is that all?!"
"Yes, that is all. Worry not, if they attempt to make a desperate effort and stand in the way of our plan, we only need to bring their hopelessness to light. As long as humans have hope, they will keep fighting." He clenched a fist. "Crush their spirit… and they will wither away."
"You usually use more direct methods… what happened to you after returning from subspace?"
"I have not changed. What is going to change is this world."
A moment of silence as they walked on.
"The underground prison is secure," Zeikfried declared. "I sealed it with my evil spear. They cannot escape. And even if they do, is that not why we employ the Prophet and the guards? Your fear is groundless."
A sigh. "A plan has to be carefully built, step by step. Do not forget we are not erecting such complicated plans just so they can be undone…"
"Then let us hurry and complete it. Break that Guardian seal before those humans can crawl out of prison like the bugs they are."
"Yes, that is our dream… the Darkness Tear was made for that reason. I will hurry the preparations. Soon the reflector will be in orbit and pass the scheduled position."
They continued on and this time Hanpan didn't follow them.
So, that demon sealed the prison with his evil spear? And he was so confident the wanderers could not escape… damn his pride and confidence, there had to be a way!
Back in the prison area, Hanpan returned to the stone console that had stumped him earlier, which wrote the same words again, "State the name of the power that seals the prison."
Well, that was that demon Zeikfried's evil spear, wasn't it? Hanpan grinned. Of course he remembered its name. He had heard it mentioned so often during the Gate Generator battle that it would be impossible not to, especially for his powerful mind!
"Here we go. G-L-U-M-Z-A-M-B-E-R."
One last hop on the keys sent a rumble across the underground prison. The dark blue fog faded from the nearby cells, then the doors swung open. Well, that was easy!
Back at the original cell, Jack grinned. "Great job! Pretty clever for a mouse!"
The Wind Mouse shrugged. "It was more physical than mental. Now let's–"
A flash of red. The sharp sound of a siren blared throughout the underground prison as footsteps sounded in the distance.
"Damn!" the swordsman cursed. "Already?"
Hanpan started towards the open cell door. "Come on, your weapon's this way! A few guards aren't going to stop you, right?"
"Hah! I'd like to see them try!"
They leant forward and faded, one into a blur, the other into a streak of blue light.
The first wave of guards gave a yell as they charged, but they struck nothing but wind as the duo weaved between them. The second wave arrived, blocking the corridor with their shields raised, only to be distracted by Hanpan scurrying by their feet while Jack leapt over their heads and landed cleanly behind them.
Wave after wave of guards attempted to stop the duo, but only to silently cry as they were left behind in a cloud of dust. Even without a weapon, the duo were still way too fast for the ordinary guards!
In no time at all Jack retrieved his katana, and several shining slashes later, the silently crying guards landed in a crumpled heap.
"Oh yeah, that's more like it!" Jack cried. "Now we gotta find the others!"
"Here!" Hanpan turned into another corridor. "Rudy's the nearest!"
Creating more crumpled heaps, the duo sped through corridor after corridor towards Rudy's approximate location… then slowed to a stop and stared.
A guard went flying. And another, and another. One struck the wall next to Jack, and one even shot upward and created a new hole in the ceiling.
In the centre of the corridor was Rudy, locked in a battle stance similar to Jack's, but in his hands wasn't an ARM. Or even a sword.
A metal pole. Gripping it with both hands, feet firmly on the ground, he had the posture of a seasoned swordsman. He might not be as fast as Jack, but he was dead accurate as he swung and sent every guard flying with sheer strength. The guards wanted to cry – wasn't charging in the equivalent of throwing eggs at a rock?
Jack grinned proudly at the sight. His sword training paid off spectacularly!
After retrieving Rudy's ARM and sword, they tore through the guards in the direction of Cecilia's approximate location. They wondered if she would be fine, since she often had trouble with enemies in crowds and melee range–
Splash.
They skidded to a stop as water gushed out of a doorway ahead and slammed several guards against the wall. The water receded, only for stone spikes to take its place and swept even more guards out. Then a gust of cutting wind, a flare of burning orange rays. The crumpled heap by the wall grew higher by the second.
On the other side of the doorway, standing serenely amidst the destruction was Cecilia. Every guard that appeared was added to the heap with the power of the four elemental Guardians without even a chance to exclaim. There wasn't a problem with crowds and close combat if she just swept them all away, was it? Did she even need her magic staff or Teardrop?
Once they had collected her equipment, then Hanpan led them down the corridor towards the stairs to the upper floor.
But there, at the last corridor before the stairs, was a demon different from all the guards they had faced. He was straw thin, with legs and arms like twigs, bony fingers wrapped around the handles of two sickles. The striped pants and sleeves, the puffy shorts and shoulders, and the wide roundish hat reminded them of a clown, yet there wasn't a single bright colour on him – everything was a dull brown and grey as though the colours had been drained from him.
He waved a sickle. "I am your captor and seer, I am the Prophet. None escapes my vision. I punish those who attempt escape and reward those who are obedient. Now, return your cell…"
Jack shrugged. "Do you really think we'll just quietly go back?"
"Hardly a surprise. Now, how would you like to die? Perhaps shattered by a roaring thunder, or crushed by–"
"Hah! You're the one who'll be crushed!"
A blur, a burst of wind. A shining upward slash. But Jack's eyes widened as the Prophet unhurriedly raised a sickle yet accurately blocked the swift blade. That wasn't a Fast Draw and yet–
"Hmph." The Prophet began to glow. "Crushed by rough ground it is."
"Get back!" Cecilia cried.
The ground tore open, the rocks raining onto them. Jack leapt to the back and landed behind the sorceress just as a white barrier shielded them.
Rudy fired, only for a blackened mark to appear on a sickle.
They launched attack after attack, even more when the sorceress strengthened them with her spells, but the Prophet was able to block them all as he alternated between the two sickles. He moved unhurriedly, as though he was in a leisurely dance, yet the sickles caught each attack with an uncanny timeliness.
The last time someone could render their attacks ineffective was Boomerang, whose fierce battles pushed them to their limits. Yet this battle hadn't pushed them enough to even be breathing hard, and it was difficult to take this self-proclaimed Prophet seriously, especially with those clown-like clothes that lacked bright colours… it felt like they met a house cat after having faced a wild tiger.
A house cat wanted to be a tiger but got stuck guarding a prison? Jack laughed at the thought.
"I'll admit you block very well," he said. "But can you block this?"
Flash. A blur of gold and brown, an onslaught of white. As expected a sickle blocked every hit with an unhurried wave.
But Jack grinned. Another flash as he swung even faster. Faster. Faster.
The lazy look in the Prophet's eyes became focused. His hand moved faster, losing their former unhurried speed, and the other sickle even joined in.
"You're keeping up very well!" Jack still had the breath to talk. "But how long can you last?"
The demon frowned, but he made no sound as sweat dripped down his colourless face.
"Let me make a prediction this time… you're going to lose. There are four of us, and only one of you and two sickles. Need I say more?"
Roar. The bullet exploded at the Prophet's arm, drawing a gasp.
Jack's whirling katana broke through, drawing metallic blood.
The Prophet stumbled back, clutching at his chest, only to step right onto a cherry-sized bomb Hanpan had planted. Pow! it rang across the corridor.
Even before the smoke had cleared, Jack burst through with more shining slashes with Rudy's ARM firing from the side. The Prophet gritted his teeth, giving his all to keep up with the onslaught of attacks, but all it took to send him flying was a block against Rudy's sword.
A blade too fast for him. An incredible strength that forced him back even if he did manage to block. Explosions from bombs that his sickles were useless against… who cared if he could predict their attacks?
But he still continued to fight. A glimmer of hope came to his eyes as he said, "I can see the end of this fight… it is–"
Shine!
A bright light from the far back. He had forgotten about their fourth member, the sorceress.
The light turned into a shining green tornado, within which a great white tiger emerged. Wind Guardian Fengalon roared, then faded into a blur of white and green. Cutting wind of green light swept across the corridor, faster than Jack's katana.
The Prophet's sickles could no longer keep up. Blade and wind broke through, cutting him all over. But he persevered, relying on his foresight to find an opening. The end of the battle drew near, and the winner stood tall–
He gasped. "No! It's… it's not me!"
And, with a brilliant green light from Fengalon's claws, he joined the crumpled heap of guards on the floor.
Jack grinned as he straightened. "Hah! What Prophet? A warrior is much stronger than–"
Crackle.
A sharp burst of magic in the air, reminding the wanderers of the demons' plan. They exchanged glances and sped up the stairs, the Prophet instantly forgotten.
.

.
The group hurried through the castle with Hanpan in the lead, bringing down any demon guard that was unfortunate enough to encounter them. They climbed floor after floor, heading towards the source of the dense magic in the air.
Crackle.
A sharp burst of magic, stronger, denser than before. Lightning flashed. Again, brighter. Thunder growled. Again, louder. Sending a chill along the wanderers' back, goosebumps along their arms.
The Darkness Tear.
The gigantic crystal hovered over Zeikfried and Alhazad in the throne room as it crackled with dark purple lightning bolts that made the Teardrop tremble. The large magic circle on the floor beneath it pulsed with evil purple light.
And there, within its dark purple surface, was Lady Harken. Her eyes tightly shut, her teeth clenched as her body trembled with pulsing dark purple light.
"ELMINA!" Jack yelled. "What did you do to her?!"
Zeikfried whirled around and raised his spear in their direction. "I have already told you once – we will annihilate all the Guardians. With this, our ultimate weapon, the Darkness Tear, is fully operational."
Cecilia's eyes narrowed. "So you also made it out safely."
Alhazad chuckled. "I, too, was surprised. It was such a dangerous place… of course, you are the Blue Quarter Knight!"
Zeikfried lowered his spear. "Now… watch and learn. The black light of the Darkness Tear will soon pour out… and tear apart the world."
A collective gasp from the Guardians' group. Cecilia whispered, "Is… is that even possible…?"
"Yes, it is possible. Possible and very easy. You see, the black light of the Darkness Tear is the antithesis of the Teardrop's energy, a negative life force. Do you know how one can transfer life energy instantly across the world?"
Then Hanpan's ears perked up as his eyes widened. "The Elw shrines… using the transporter!"
"Clever. The reflectors that your horrible race stationed in orbit is the basis of our plan. We will use them to reflect the negative life energy and irradiate Filgaia… do you know what this entails? This will destroy the network of the Guardians' power. This will break the Layline and bring death to this planet." He clenched a fist. "Filgaia will turn into a dead world, as every creature is torn apart!"
"I thought you wanted to rule this planet for yourself?!" Cecilia glared at the demons, the edge of her eyes glistening. "What you're doing is just killing the planet… you sound more and more like Mother!"
Jack gritted his teeth. "Then how does Elmina fit into this disgusting plot?!"
Alhazad chuckled. "Lady Harken was originally a human female. A female body has the ability to create life, it holds the essence of existence. There could not be a more convenient way to generate the negative energy needed for the core of the Darkness Tear."
Ziekfried shoved the spear in his comrade's direction, eyes focused on the wanderers. "Do it, Alhazad. Set the output to maximum power."
He turned sharply. "Maximum power? What are you thinking, Zeikfried? We need not risk that much power to achieve our objective… or is there another aim…?"
He slammed the end of the spear on the floor. "Obey! Spread the Darkness Tear over the world!"
Silence. Alhazad turned to the back, pressed a few buttons on the console at the back.
RUMBLE.
The Darkness Tear burst into a strong crimson light, the colour of blood.
Zeikfried gave a low chuckle. "It begins… and no one can stop it."
With that, a sphere of blue light surrounded both demons… and they disappeared.
"NO!" Jack cried as he ran forward. "Come back, you bastards!"
A burst of crimson light. A shockwave of power swept the hall and sent Jack flying back right into Rudy, who caught him. As they all shielded their eyes, black light shot out of Lady Harken's body, a light that seemed as though it would swallow everything.
Cecilia let out a sob as she sank to her knees, hands clutching the Teardrop crystal that shone with equally strong white light between her fingers. "The Teardrop… all the lives in the world… everyone's screaming…"
.
-o-o-o-o-o-
.
A crimson light, the colour of blood, as though to drain every life on Filgaia.
A black light, the colour of darkness, as though to cover the world in nothing but the darkness of despair.
Both intertwined into a sword of dark crimson light that pierced the Sea of Wind and into the Sea of Stars.
There, a reflector orbited, with metal wings spread to catch the light… and split it into multiple directions towards other reflectors. They in turn split the light further. Again and again the sword of light split, forming a web of dark crimson light all around Filgaia.
And, as if by a cue… they all rained onto the world.
They burnt through the Sea of Wind as though it was made of paper.
They shattered the Laylines and severed the links between Guardians, the links that once amplified their power to support the world.
They tore through the earth and brought golden lava onto the surface, hotter than even the Guardian of Fire.
They struck even the deepest depths of the seas and summoned great tidal waves that rivaled the Guardian of Water.
Violent storms raged. Burning earth roared. Powerful tidal waves crushed. Screams filled the air, only to be silenced.
Time seemed to stop… as destruction spread throughout Filgaia.
.
-o-o-o-o-o-
.
Jack could only stare wide-eyed as the crimson and black light poured continually out of Elmina's body, a never-ending well of blood and darkness that tore the world. He could only stare as the woman he had thought dead hovered before him, destroying instead of protecting… he could only stare.
Just like back then. He could only stare as she dropped the gate between them, as she fought off the demons so that he could escape. As he tightly gripped the green ribbon she had given him.
Just like back then… he had been powerless to do anything.
Powerless. Powerless to stop it all from happening again… to stop the demons from tearing the woman he loved from him.
Powerless.
…no. No, not this time. This time there was still something he could do!
As he raised his head, clenched his teeth, he gazed upon Elmina's limp body within the Darkness Tear and gripped the hilt of his katana.
"STOP!" he yelled.
He rushed forward in a burst of speed, in a blur of gold and brown. With a great yell, he leapt high into the air and swung hard.
Flash.
He landed on the floor, the blade back in its sheath. But the Darkness Tear remained unscathed.
Again he yelled. Again he swung at the Darkness Tear. Again the flash of white light cut the crimson and black light.
"Jack!" Cecilia shouted.
"Yargh!" Jack leapt once more. "LET – ELMINA – GO!"
FLASH.
The shining katana cut right through the Darkness Tear… and the crystal began to shine.
FLASH.
The Darkness Tear shattered, releasing crimson and black light.
Jack crashed onto the floor, covered in burns and bleeding cuts. His katana slid across the floor. His comrade shouted his name and supported him by the arms, but his narrowed eyes only focused onto the fallen figure of Elmina among the shards of the Darkness Tear. He reached out towards her, but a sharp hiss from her made him stop.
"Do not come any closer!"
She staggered to her feet, shoulders heaving with the effort. Even now, her body glowed with a mixture of crimson and dark purple, remnants of the power of the shattered Darkness Tear.
"El… Elmi… na…" Jack began.
Another hiss. "Do not call me with that name!" She straightened, shoulders squared, helmet shielding her face. "I am the Red Quarter Knight! Lady Harken!"
A red sphere of light surrounded her and she, like the demons, disappeared.
Jack sank to his knees. "I couldn't protect you! With all my power, I couldn't protect you! Again! I… I…!"
And he slumped forward onto the floor.
"Jack?!" Hanpan exclaimed. "Jack, open your eyes! JACK!"
.
-o-o-o-o-o-
.
Somewhere within the darkness, Alhazad faced Ziekfried. "Even if we did not use maximum output, we could have accomplished our plan. You must know that. It would have been enough to kill the Guardians' power with the Darkness Tear for just a moment."
Ziekfried turned away. "Perhaps I was overcome by excitement. Though we did achieve our purpose. At this moment the Guardians' power has waned and the seal on Ka Dingel has broken. Everything is going according to plan. Am I wrong?"
"If the humans had not stop Lady Harken and the Darkness Tear, Filgaia would have been seriously damaged beyond repair. Our purpose is to control this planet… not to destroy it." He shook his head. "Ziekfried… your words, your actions… has something changed?"
He whirled around to face Alhazad. "Nothing has changed. My body is mine, and so is my mind." He swung a hand. "Let us take our plan to the final level. We will drive through to Ka Dingel and gain the power of the New Moon. Black out Filgaia with fear…"
A moment of silence, then a short bow. "If that is your will, I will follow."

End of Chapter Thirty: Destructive Power Running Rampant.
Author's Note:
I really like the theme that plays during Hanpan's part in WAACF, "Tornado"! It's got that catchy beat that makes me feel playful. :D
