Layla pov.

You can go home tomorrow if you would like. There is nothing wrong with your vocal cords now so it will be fine if you come back. I will inform Gaara sama about this..

She wants to run aways from this place, the longer she stays she will be dead! She must find a way to escape from Gaara she regrets for loving a monster.

His sand smells like blood although he hides it. Layla could see a tiny bit of blood on his sleeve, when she thought of it she felt like throwing up and her body was still shaking even when he was just standing outside in front of her wad.. Layla didn't know if Gaara actually planned to kill her or she was just misunderstood.

Although Gaara keeps his distance from her, She can't find a time to escape seeing Kankuro watching or guarding her for 24 hours!!.

"Hey?. I want to take some rest for today. I just got tired just looking at your face. 'Sara can't even hide her discontent towards her now. Looking out from the windows again?.. Instead just looking at it, It better you jump that way you do us a favor' She says without any ounce of sympathy.

Did I ever owe you?!.. Layla's voice is so intimidating and low while sending a sharp gaze to Sara.

Sara sighs, "Geeze , why you being such a princess , Isn't enough Kankuro guarding you here and because of you he doesn't have a time for me'..

I didn't need anyone's concern, ' Layla turned her gaze back to the windows.

Suit yourself.. ' Sara walked out from the Layla room

How is Layla, Sara?.. Kankuro asked as soon Sara exited Layla's room.

Hmm,' Sara rolled her eyes when Kankuro asked about Layla. "Like usual she gets on my nerves .. Ignore my kindness and badmouth Sayuri sama , How dare she!. ' Sara falsely accused her.

Don't lie to me Layla, wasn't a woman like that' Kankuro defended her .. She been through a lot

Sara pinched Kankuro's on the stomach until he hissed in pain.. Why do you do that?!. He whined.

'Ask yourself .. "Sara sent a glare at him and took her things on the couch before walking out from the hospital.

Geez women! Not stopping being jealous all the time but she was kinda cute , Kankuro grinned until his ears knew someone was truly loving him.

The smile on his face quickly faded when Layla went out from her room and walked past him. " Where are you going?.. He asked as block her path.

Looking at him, ' I want to get some fresh air. It feels so stuffed in there. I'd just go to the rooftop. Is that okay?, Layla asked.

Of course, you can but do you need someone to keep you company or should I call a nurse?.. He says to her.

It's fine, you worry too much " Layla simply said while giving her half smile, after Kankuro backed off Layla climbed up the stairs .. Her spirit really down after that incident somewhat made Kankuro feel sad at her.. She must miss her village or family alone inside this village without nobody she knew it must be devastated to her.

Time slowly passed as she watched the blue sky and the clouds, alone on the rooftop make her think she was in another world.. Inhaling some fresh air somehow made Layla relaxing.

Sometimes she saw a group of kids playing down at the park not too far from hospital

They're too energetic in the midst of hot weather. Unlike her, She always gets stuck in bed because get sick easily. She can only look at kids her age playing outside while she just looks at them from the windows.

Touching her neck, She thankfully realized that the bruise was almost gone but she was still wearing a turtleneck blouse to hide the rest of the bruise that still left.

All of the sudden, her eyes swan with tears as the more she held back her crying the more her tears streamed down to her cheeks , wiping the tears before someone saw her. It would be embarrassing being a crybaby at her age.

Her efforts were futile when she was still crying. Layla closed her mouth when she felt want to scream and curled up her knees as she hid her face..

She misses the snow, she misses her family and she wants away from this place.. She hates these feelings!! She hates her feelings for actually like Gaara.

Kankuro, hiding behind the door, could hear her sobbing and couldn't help but feel pitiful at her, his fist tightening while gritting his teeth.

Gaara needs to explain himself!, and he will not let him go until he tells him what's going on?! Quietly he walks aways and goes to the Kazekage office.

Gaara? Are you in there?!. Kankuro bangs the door open after he knocks it.. Don't shout Kankuro'..Gaara replied as watching at him..

Kankuro sighed, 'Are you even okay.. Did you have lunch? He asked worriedly after seeing Gaara's condition.

Unkempt haired, disheveled clothes, his eyes look dead like fish eyes, the paper scattered on the floor. 'Did get any sleep?.. Kankuro asked as he started to pick up the papers.

I can't, not until I know Layla is really fine.. He says 'Doctor informed me earlier that she can come back tonight but I extend one more day just to make sure she is perfectly okay.. ' He added.

She is fine already, in fact she already walks around and can eat like normal..

Gaara breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that , all the uneasiness washed away quickly and then the tiredness filled him..

Kankuro put all the papers back to table while looking at him" Gaara there I want to ask you " what actually is your relationship with Layla?, why don't you ever let her go?

A sigh comes out from Gaara mouth, ' I will let her go when I know she will come back to me later.

What do you mean? , I don't understand ' Kankuro puzzled

You're right, I regret it all, I keep falling for her until I can't live without her. Gaara says.

I knew it. Kankuro plopped his body on the couch and touched his head. He felt dizzy. ' Then how about Sayuri? You can't toss her aside; she was your fiance for god sake!

My engagement with Sayuri only facade only to lure Kantarou and the other seniors…

His mouth gag open, Kankuro couldn't believe how Gaara didn't talk about this matter when he first planned " .. So you said Layla knew about this but I didn't!!.. His voice slowly rose, irritated by the treatment he had got.

She doesn't know either Layla just knows that there was a deal between me and Sayuri.. " Gaara explained.

Oh, the boiling anger inside Kankuro quickly cooled down at Gaara's explanation. ' But what are you gonna do now? Layla was madly mad at you..

I tried to think that but I don't know how I should seek her forgiveness this time..

This time?!.. Kankuro piques his interest when Gaara says this time it is like he has made trouble before . What do you meant?

He seemed to hit a bullseye when Gaara suddenly averted his eyes Gaa… aaraa! He called his name and made the red haired flinch.

Shut up?!Get out I got tons of work to do" Gaara drive Kankuro away from his office.

Although he begged for it Gaara wouldn't never told him, Dragging his foot walked out from Gaara office Kankuro swears he will gonna found out what the secret Gaara hiding from him..

Layla!!,He shouted her name as the man panicked and loosen his grips on her neck to make her fall to the floor, " This not on the planned " The man faintly says underneath the mask.

And when he wants to escape, Gaara quickly catches him with his sand. "

Kankuro heard the ruckus and ran to the second floor followed by Sayuri and Misaka behind him..Gaara? What happened?..

His eyes were widened while the women behind him shouted loudly upon seeing the devastating scene in front of them " . Gaara" Kankuro called his name shakily.

Gulping saliva back, Kankuro's legs went weak . In Gaara arms were unconsciously Layla while his sand choking the man in maskWhat happened? Kankuro asked and walked slowly to his brother.

HELP ME!! KANKURO SAMA! HELP ME!.. The man desperately begged for his life at him..

In instantly Gaara gripping his neck until they could hear his bone broken as if that wouldn't be enough as Gaara snake his sand to both his hands and broke off each of his fingers until he yelped in pain.. Sayuri and Misaka fell into floor as they covered their ear

GAARA!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! STOP THIS INSTANT. Kankuro shouted.

It is not enough!, ' Kankuro disbelief watching Gaara expression it looks like he was possessed.. Grinning like that, he enjoyed hearing that man begging.

Tell me!, who told you to hurt Layla.. Gaara asked the mask man while loosening his grips on his necks.

No one!!, the man lied.

Sand coffin!, ..

Arghhh, no!!! Help me " the man is frightening when slowing his entire body covered by the sand as it comes inside his mouth, nose and his ears too.. No!!.. He was muffled before being crushed by the intense pressure of sand.

Blood splatter everywhere except on Layla Gaara shields her with his sand , Kankuro throws up as his body remembers the old Gaara.

Sayuri and Misaka just froze seeing the fight just finished in one sided, Gaara carried Layla to hospital while as he walked past them he just ignored them.Wait up Gaara, " Kankuro says and runs as he follows him.

I'm sorry Layla because I'm so selfish but I promise once this ends you are the only one that I will give you my everything.. " He swears on his name.
