Katniss woke up with a splitting headache. Even though she had already gone through a Hunger Games, she now had to go through a second one. Thankfully not firsthand, but maybe this was even worse. Which children would die? Which families would struggle without them? How could she stand to train kids, year after year, while knowing the whole time that it was entirely pointless? How could she endure the hatred trained towards her for the rest of her life? How could she endure having to work with, let alone pretend to be in love with, her co-winner for...eternity? No wonder so many Hunger Games champions were suicidal.
