Disclaimer: I don't own it.

It was an all too familiar scene, the disgusting taste of vomit, the lump in her throat. Bulma crouched over the marble toilet, sweat falling profusely from her head, her usual styled turquoise hair was drenched in said sweat and covering her face. The pregnancy test was at the end of the double bathroom vanity she shared with her husband. The minimum three minutes required before reading her test results had come and gone, she didn't want to look at the results. Her body already knew the answer, she was pregnant.

Thank god she had the bathroom to herself; her husband was an early bird and was training in the gravity chamber. She picked her head out of the toilet and glanced out of the bathroom door to the clock on her night stand, it read 7:45am, her husband was in his first training session of the day and would likely remain in the gravity chamber for an hour to so. She had some time to get herself together, she didn't want him to see her like this. Shit, she also needed to get Trunks up and ready for school, he was always struggling to get out of the bed.

She went to stand up but almost stumbled backwards at the sight of her husband causally leaning at the side of the bathroom door.

"Jesus! Vegeta, you scared me!" Bulma shrieked

"Hump, you really need to be more aware of your surroundings woman."

"I'm usually am totally aware of my surroundings..." Bulma started before she felt the urge to throw up again, she doubled back down and took her usually spot, crouched over on the toilet as vomit violently escaped her body.

She flushed the toilet before sitting up and beginning her sentence again "I'm usually aware of my surroundings, I can't sense Ki like you and you move like stealth, plus you're usually not out of the gravity chamber this early."

"Touché."

"Well don't worry about me, I think it's something I ate, I may have food poisoning or something." Bulma continued.

Vegeta eyed the white stick on the ledge of the double bathroom vanity. Bulma wasn't fooling him with her response.

"You're pregnant."

Shit! thought Bulma. It's this fucking pregnancy brain, I don't know how I thought he wouldn't eventually figure this shit out.

"You sensed the baby's Ki," Bulma said, how long have you known?" She picked her head out of the toilet for what seemed like the millionth time in two weeks and leaned on the wall of the bathroom holding her stomach.

"About a week or so." Vegeta said as he walked towards the hand towel initialized with the letter "B" hanging on the towel hook on the wall over his wife's head. He turned on the sink and wet the towel, rang out the excess water and then leaned over his wife. He slowly wiped the sweat off of her face before picking her up in one swoop, exciting the bathroom, and placing her gently on the king-sized bed that they shared together. He covered her with the blanket before returning to the bathroom to turn off the light. He picked up the white stick, from the corner of his eyes he read the word "pregnant." It confirmed what he already knew.

Won't be needing this anymore. He thought to himself before discarding of the test in the bathroom trash.

He exited the bathroom again and gently sat on the edge of the bed. He didn't want to disturb his wife, she seemingly seemed like she was sleep but Vegeta had a feeling that she was up.

"I know you can hear me Bulma, you don't fall asleep that fast unless it's after sex." He grinned.

Bulma playfully kicked him with her feet from underneath the blanket.

Vegeta hardly felt it. He continued "Years ago you basically made a promise to me about our family and about not giving birth to another Half Sayain, I intend to hold you to your words."

Bulma remained quiet, a quiet tear fell from her turquoise eyes, she remembered what she said to him after she gave birth to Trunks. It seemed like another life time, it was the start of their relationship and Vegeta was worried about the pregnancy from the start. He tried to mask his worries by saying he was worried about being a father but he was actually worried about her.

It was the first time she realized how much she meant to him.

He was worried about what the pregnancy would do to her and if she would survive labor. Her pregnancy with trunks was excruciatingly painful, words could not describe it and Vegeta was right to be worried. Unable to bear seeing her in pain he left during the last few months of her pregnancy with Trunks and returned right in time to save her as the pregnancy drained nearly all of her energy. If he hadn't been monitoring her, she is sure she would have died in that labor and delivery room. Her body shuddered at the thought.

She had spoken those words without thinking, after having him gone for the end of her pregnancy with Trunks, the androids, and the cell games she would have done anything to just make him stay, she would have said anything to wake up to his body next to hers, his arm dangled protectively over her in the most open state of vulnerability. So, she spoke those words that she now wished she never said "I promise, I will not give birth to any more of your half Sayain children, I value my life, thank you very much." She sarcastically added.

Of course, Vegeta being Vegeta, a Sayain prince, he remembered. Something she didn't say that day popped into her head, maybe she could get out of this…

"Well…I technically said I would not give birth to any more of your Half Sayain children, I didn't say I wouldn't try, that has to count for something." As the words left her mouth, she knew they didn't make much sense and she was a genius, a master at arguments, damn pregnancy brain.

"Touché"

Bulma sat up looking pissed. "This is like the second time this morning you've used that word and it's already driving me crazy." She glared daggers at him with her eyes.

Vegeta remained calm but chuckled, "Increased agitation from the pregnancy is already creeping in huh."

Bulma reflected and took a deep breathe. "Damn, you're right hon, I have been a little on edge for the past week."

He sat up and walked towards his wife he leaned forward and kissed her before she reluctantly laid back down.

"Just a little?" He sarcastically asked before turning to exit. "I'm going to go wake up the brat for school, he still seems to be sleeping.

"Kay" was the sleepy response he received from his wife who genuinely seemed to be going back to sleep. She smiled to herself as she closed her eyes and thought this is love, he could read her without any words, he knew exactly that she needed to get Trunks ready for school and he did it because she was sick. I love this man. She thought to herself as she started to drift off to sleep.

Vegeta put his hand on the knob to exit the bedroom but before he opened the door, he turned around to face his wife.

"Bulma, this is a promise I won't let you break, as long as I am your husband, we are not having that child, you are not giving birth again, need I remind you, you almost died the last time. This is not up for discussion. "

He waited for her response but Bulma was fast asleep as evidenced by her light snoring.

We'll be continuing this discussion later. Vegata thought to himself.

He quietly closed the door behind him. "Trunks, it's time to get ready for school." He quietly yelled in a stern firm voice. His voice vibrated through the home as he walked to the kitchen to get breakfast. He did not have to repeat himself; his son knew the consequences of that.

Trunks was up and ready for school in 0.1 seconds; he could get away with rolling over back to sleep with his mom but his dad did not tolerate that behavior. He would end up in a gravity room training session with his father as punishment.

Trunks joined his father in the kitchen. His father was casually eating an Apple and seemed to be deeper in thought than usual.

"Where's mom, I am starved." Said Trunks.

Vegeta eyed his son who was fully dressed and prepared for school with his book bag in tow. He smirked to himself, I wish Bulma was here to see this, the brat knows exactly who to play around with when getting up and ready for school. He shook his head.

"She's sleeping, not feeling well, grab a fruit or a muffin for nourishment."

Best to not say anything about the pregnancy. We don't want anyone getting attached. Vegeta was secretly grateful that Trunks was still perfecting his Ki sensing abilities so hopefully he wouldn't notice the additional low Ki radiating from his mother.

Trunks quickly sat at the kitchen island devouring a number of banana muffins and juice before heading out the door for school.

"Don't forget your mask!" Vegeta reminded Trunks before he could leave the compound.

Damn, I'm turning more into Bulma, he thought, this human virus, COVID-19, was a global pandemic and it was reported everywhere on the news. Bulma and her team at Capsule Corp were among the many global research companies working on a cure.

Vegeta initially brushed the virus off as another issue of the humans. Shit. It had nothing to do with him, it was a human problem and he was Sayain. He was positive he and Trunks wouldn't catch it, they were Sayain after all and hardly got sick. Even the idiot Kakarot was only truly sick once during his time on the mud ball and that had been a heart disease, not some virus with symptoms of a cough, a fever, and shortness of breath.

He and Trunks may be protected but the #1 person in his life, was human and needed to be protected so he encouraged his son to wear the dreaded face masks. He even wore them too. Bulma was a genius and if she said that she thought that the face mask offered protection against the virus then the face mask offered protection against the virus.

"Thanks for the reminder Dad, I always forget! Trunks said as he grabbed a face mask on the way out of the door. "See you later and tell mom I hope she feels better."

Vegeta heard the door slam as trunks left the compound. He discarded his Apple in the trash and thought about eating several banana muffins himself before deciding against it. He wasn't in the mood. He was not himself. It was not like him to not want to eat. He kept thinking about this unexpected pregnancy and his sleeping wife upstairs. He checked for her Ki, she seemed to be stable, still in bed no doubt.

He would not allow her to carry this pregnancy, it had to be terminated immediately. He shuddered at the thought of referring to his unborn child as an "It" but he couldn't get attached. His wife came first. His thoughts were scattered and he felt ...emotional...which was rare for him. He needed to get out of his head, out of his emotions, and focus on his body for now. He exited the compound and returned to the gravity chamber. He entered the code to the gravity chamber and stepped inside, he would focus on training now, he would continue the conversation with his wife later. As stubborn as she could be, he would not be budging on this, this would be a promise that he would force her to keep.

I hope everyone is safe and well during this pandemic. Drop me a review :)
