Hiyee! 👋👋👋

Apologies for the really long delay on getting this chapter uploaded. I went on a five-day trip just to relax and unwind, which helped since I was able to work out the kinks that kept me from updating this chapter.

Anyway, I have another WIP that I'm thinking of uploading soon. It'll feature a different ship pairing, but our fave hot head and redhead will still be there so don't worry 😉😁. Depending on what my muse decides, I'll be working both on that newest WIP and this one or this one will have to be placed on the back burner while I work on the latest WIP. Either way I'll keep ya'll informed on what's gonna happen, but in the meantime, enjoy WJFR's latest chapter!

MIDORIYA KNEW IT WAS none of his business to stick his nose into Kacchan and Kirishima's business, but seeing both of their sullen disposition after eavesdropping on that heated argument of theirs the other day, he couldn't help but feel that he needed to reach out and help at least one of those two.

He knew Kacchan would scoff at this offer of help, so he wasn't even planning on talking to him. But Kirishima was a different story.

Sure he has become really good friends with Kacchan since their first year, and sometimes he was jealous of how much Kacchan trusts the redhead even though he has known him far longer than the other guy. But he was alright with his relationship with Kacchan right now; they weren't really friends-friends, but at least they weren't mere acquaintances either.

Midoriya found the redhead sitting out on the front steps after dinner Thursday night. Almost everyone was unwinding in the living room enjoying some of Yaoyorozu's tea selection while the others went back to their rooms to work on their homework. He saw Kacchan head back upstairs to his room while Kirishima headed out the front door.

After discussing his theory at length with Mirio, Midoriya made up his mind and wanted to get to the root of what was really bothering both Kacchan and Kirishima. It seemed like after that big fight they had last Saturday, things went from bad to worse in a heartbeat.

Kirishima locked himself up in his room the rest of the weekend while Kacchan was in a foul mood ever since. Even Denki or Sero couldn't pry what was wrong from him unless they wanted their heads to be lopped off. And then there was that incident earlier this week during lunch.

He and Kacchan were walking back to class when they spotted Kirishima sitting with Tetsutetsu laughing and joking around. Nothing out of the ordinary, really, and yet Kacchan's demeanor did a quick one-eighty and he stormed up to where Kirishima and Tetsutetsu was, grabbing Kirishima by the collar and dragging him away without giving a care that he just interrupted the redhead and the silver haired third year.

Midoriya apologized to a confused Tetsutetsu, reassuring the other third year that he'll make sure Kacchan doesn't beat the shit outta Kirishima since that was the first thing the other third year mentioned to him after Kacchan and Kirishima disappeared.

It didn't take him long to find out where Kacchan took the flailing redhead. He just followed the sound of Kirishima's voice until he found where they went. He was about to jump in and pull Kacchan off his friend, but as he approached the corner he was greeted with sounds of heavy breathing and moaning.

Midoriya didn't want to believe what he think he was hearing, but curiosity got the best of him and he snuck up and took a peek, his eyes widening when he was greeted by the sight of his childhood friend pouncing on a defenceless Kirishima who didn't look like he was opposed to what was going on at all.

He felt really bad for spying, but from where he stood watching it didn't look like that was the first time Kacchan and Kirishima did that. Heck, he didn't even think those two were in that kinda relationship.

Was that why Kacchan was really chill when he found out about him and Mirio?

Since when was Kacchan interested in men?

How long has Kacchan and Kirishima been together?

Did they have a lover's spat, was that why they had that big blow up during training class a few weeks back?

So many questions ran through Midoriya's head as he watched the lovers make out like they've been a pair left out in the desert deprived of water for so long. He kinda felt jealous that they were showing so much intimacy compared to when he and Mirio make out.

Wait, was Kacchan holding back on him when he asked him to help him spice up his physical relationship with Mirio? From the sounds of pleasure coming from both of them, his childhood friend seemed to know what he was doing!

Damn Kacchan for holding out on him! He said he didn't know how to spice up a freaking relationship but watching him make out with Kirishima sure tells a different story.

But then he heard the conversation that put a squeaking halt to their heavy make-out session:

"Dude, I'm into girls," Kirishima said, pushing Kacchan away from him.

"I know," Bakugo growled, "You think I'm not?"

"If you're into girls as much as I am, then why the fuck can't you keep your hands and mouth off me?" he demanded.

"If you're into girls as you claim you are, then why aren't you fighting me off every time?" Kacchan asked back.

An uncomfortable silence fell between them after that. It was then that Midoriya decided to make his presence known and break the awkward silence between those two. He pretended to not have seen or heard what they were just doing and acted oblivious for Kirishima's sake, but as soon as he left them alone he made sure he let Kacchan know that he was aware of what they were doing before he showed up.

"Hey, Kirishima," Midoriya greeted, stepping out on to the front porch and sitting down on the top step beside the redhead.

"Hey," Kirishima acknowledged the green haired teen. "What are you doing here?" he asked.

"I saw you step out here after dinner instead of staying inside to enjoy some post-dinner tea with the others."

"Why'd you follow me?" Kirishima frowned.

"Because I wanted to talk to you," Midoriya answered. He figured he might as well not beat around the bush and dispel with the small talk. He kinda have an idea on what was going on and he didn't like seeing Kacchan and Kirishima not getting along.

"Talk about what?" the redhead frowned.

"What happened last weekend, and earlier this week, between you and Kacchan."

"What about it?"

Midoriya felt a huge, rock solid wall appeared between them as soon as he mentioned what he wanted to talk about.

"Look, man, I'm not here to judge," Midoriya raised his hands up, palms facing Kirishima, and pulled back a little. "I don't know what's going on between you two, but that confrontation you two had earlier this week sure screamed lovers spat to me," he pointed out.

"We're not lovers," Kirishima denied vehemently.

"Maybe not in the literal sense of the word," Midoriya shrugged. "But I know what I walked in to," he reminded him, referring to what was going on between him and Kacchan before Midoriya made his presence known.

"If you do, then why the fuck aren't you beating the shit outta me? Or better yet, smack some sense into Bakugo?" Kirishima demanded.

"Why would I do that?" Midoriya frowned.

"Shouldn't you care that Bakugo's caught making out with someone else?"

"Should I?" Midoriya was getting more and more confused by Kirishima's questions.

"Dude, he's your fucking boyfriend, isn't he?!" Kirishima raised his voice in exasperation, making Midoriya jump in surprise both at the volume of his voice as well as what he just said.

"Keep it down, will ya?" Midoriya shushed that affronted redhead, then added, "Kacchan and I are just childhood friends. Besides, he's not even my type."

Now it was Kirishima's turn to frown.

"The hell?"

Midoriya returned the annoyed look the redhead gave him and shook his head. He was still rattled by his outburst, implicating that he and Kacchan were in a relationship. Kirishima wasn't far off the mark, though, but Kacchan wasn't the one he was in a relationship with.

"I might as well come clean to you to clear up this misunderstanding," Midoriya let out a long, disgruntled sigh.

"What misunderstanding?" Kirishima asked.

Midoriya shot his classmate a sideways glance. "I don't know what made you jump to the conclusion that Kacchan and I are seeing each other, but I'm telling you now, we are not in that kinda relationship at all."

"Seriously?" Kirishima didn't sound like he believed him.

"Yeah, seriously," Midoriya insisted. "However," he was quick to add before Kirishima could open his mouth to say something about the matter, "I am in a relationship with someone," he confirmed.

"And that someone is a guy, am I right?"

Midoriya nodded. There was no point in him denying what he already suspected. He can't believe he felt this at ease telling Kirishima about his relationship with Mirio, although as for now he won't be disclosing the identity of the guy he was seeing for both his and Mirio's sake (he was a TA at the school after all and such relationship between a teacher and a student was taboo).

"Who?"

Midoriya knew that question was coming after he confirmed that he wasn't single anymore.

"Kacchan knows," was his flippant reply.

"No shit," Kirishima muttered. "So I take it that you won't be telling me who you're seeing?"

"Not yet," Midoriya smiled. "But rest assured that it isn't Kacchan, although he's the only one who knows about us," he said proudly.

"No wonder he's the one you sought out for help," Kirishima muttered.

"Excuse me?" Midoriya wasn't sure he heard the redhead right. Sure he went to Kacchan to vent about his frustration navigating this new relationship he was in, but that was all it was: venting. "What do you mean I sought him out for help? Help with what?"

"About some intimacy issues you seem to be having with your partner," he shrugged. "Bakugo came to me to vent after the hanami before the start of the term. At first I didn't know what he was talking about and he really didn't say much that time, but the next time he barged in to my room things got...well..." Kirishima's voice trailed off as he remembered what happened during that time. Midoriya could only take a wild guess based on the sudden reddening of the redhead's face.

"I think I get the picture," Midoriya said, taking pity on Kirishima's obvious embarrassment. "Was that the reason why you two got into a fight during training class?"

"Sorta," Kirishima shrugged.

"Sorta?"

"I dunno. I was annoyed 'coz after what happened in my room, he acted like it wasn't a big deal. And then I saw you two at the rooftop having lunch together and that really rubbed me the wrong way," he explained.

"How? I mean, why?"

"I already suspected that you two were seeing each other, but after what happened it didn't seem like he was in a relationship 'coz hell, you wouldn't be getting into it that much if you aren't interested in the person you're sucking face with, would you?"

"I'd be half-hearted about participating," Midoriya shrugged.

"Exactly!" Kirishima snapped his fingers. "Anyway, I was confused and annoyed already, then he started haranguing me about sparring 'coz he was bored training by himself and I just blew a fuse," he explained.

"Kirishima, were you by any chance jealous of me and Kacchan?"

"Jealous? Why the hell would I be jealous?" Kirishima tried to sound like the word 'jealous' wasn't a trigger for him, but he sounded way more defensive than he probably intended to.

"Not sure, but you probably were jealous. And Kacchan's reaction when he saw you with Tetsutetsu could be because he too was jealous," the green haired teen shrugged.

"Now why would he be jealous of Tets?"

"You tell me," Midoriya grinned.

"Tets and I are just buds, that's all," he insisted. "Besides, Bakugo's interested in girls, he admitted it himself earlier."

"I was interested in girls too," Midoriya reminded him.

Kirishima looked like he was about to argue that point, but thought about it first and kept his mouth shut instead.

"You can't help who you end up attracted to. Trust me, I went through the motions of accepting that the person I wanted to be with wasn't from the opposite sex."

"But I'm not—"

Midoriya cut him off before he says something that he might end up swallowing in the long run.

"I know what I saw, Kirishima. And people say, action speaks louder than words." Midoriya stood up after giving his classmate something to think about. Kirishima was a smart guy; he'd figure out what he meant by that.

He walked back inside and joined the others drinking tea and talking about the latest gossip on campus. Kirishima stayed outside for a while still even after everyone's called it a night and started heading to their rooms.
