ATTENTION: This is not an update.
I'm really sorry. However, I am still working on this story and have updated a lot and improved a lot. This has become a lot bigger project than I first envisioned and have found myself wholly invested. I started this idea over a year ago and I am still in the working process of the history. I first started changing this and that and now, it has become a much bigger world than the original show. I am really excited and looking forward to the finished product and getting closer every day. It feels like I am close to 75% done with the background work and possible present timeline plot. I really hope once I get it going, you are as excited as I am.
Also, I am open to any ideas you might want to see or read about. I can't guarantee I will use it but I am happy to try. Many of the stories I have included, both old and new, are either mentioned, a side story, or important to the main plot. To help better give you an idea of what is coming, here is a list of a few of the new stories and characters I have added.
12 Dancing Princesses
Princess and the Pea
Howl's Moving Castle
The Black Cauldron
Hunchback of Notre Dame
Brothers Grimm
Dr. Facillier
Anastasia
The Little Matchstick Girl
And many more side characters not used in the show that had a lot of potential.
(and this isn't even all of them)
However, while many have been added, some were taken away. I deeply apologize. My criteria for which characters were taken away or included is based on these points.
-No animal stories I.E. Lion King or where any majority of the characters are animals.
-had to at least be mentioned or play even a minor role in the history. Characters (not background) introduced had to hold a small significance. Even if it was just to pass along information.
-fairytale based storyline. Stories such as Mulan and Tarzan hold no original base storyline in fairytales and fables and will not be included.
I am also trying really hard not to include mythology, history, and literature (with the exception of a select few) as they open too many doors and I would like for the core of this story to still be considered fairy tales and fables as the show originally intended.
With those guidelines, if you have any favorite fable or fairytale (not necessarily Grimm), please feel free to give out an idea. I would be interested to see what others come up with. I do hope you enjoy the final story when it finally comes out. As I said, this has been a year long project and I am still working on it every day and with the help of a friend from work, I have answered many questions and hopefully filled many plot holes of the show. I really hope you are there when it all unfolds and enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Many thanks for your understanding!
