SORRY. FOR. TAKE. TOO. LONG.

Seriously, I have no excuse for leaving you guys for so long. This story has been on a hiatus for months, but the good news is that it finally came to an end. Now I am going to dedicate myself to finalizing this story.

I know I said that I would work on my Spanish version first, but in doing so it turned out to be much more complicated than I thought. Lots of changes that you will see in the future. Instead of making you guys wait any longer, I changed my mind and decided to finish this first.

This chapter is undoubtedly the longest I have written, with more than 13,000 words, and the worst thing is that I had even cut several scenes so that it is not eternal. The reason will be found by reading.

I tell you that the vote for the winner of the season still stands, and it will be until the next chapter is published. You are still on time. Go vote!

The songs used in this chapter, Call Me Maybe and Umbrella, do not belong to me. I just added them for simple extra fun.

Now, the answer to the review

Guest 1138: Yes, during the hiatus I had time to think more about these plots, and I'll just tell you that there will be A LOT to talk about, starting with the next chapter. The reason for not bringing back the winner is due more to drama terms, as both Ginger and Lucas are not very competitive characters that offer a lot of drama (or at least not as much compared to the others in this cast), and their plots are already closing here. Don't worry, I'm going to make sure that next season is much better than this one. Simply put, Enchanted was just an introduction to the plots and characters, and the next season is where the best is finally going to begin.

Total Drama: Enchanted

Chapter 25 - Last Race to Victory

At the iconic losers' resort, known as Playa Des Losers, the two finalists, Ginger and Lucas, were enjoying a huge and exquisite breakfast feast just for the two of them. It was surprising for both of them to learn that Chef Hatchet, who used to prepare disgusting, burned, rotten, and moldy food just to starve them to death, was also capable of cooking all these kinds of delicacies.

Due to the "mysterious" self-destruction of Pahkitew Island during the semi-final, the hosts had to improvise a bit while preparing for the long-awaited final challenge. Chris's plan included that, for some reason, all the ex-contestants board the sky pirates' airship, the Ravenous Condor, and be transported to an unknown direction, leaving the finalists alone.

"Good morning, finalists!" Chris makes an appearance from under the table, making the two teens jump.

"Were you waiting under the table all morning for surprise effect?" Lucas asks intrigued.

"Maybe…" Chris smiled proudly, "Anyway! It's time for our long-awaited final challenge! Throughout this season, 20 contestants gave their all to survive, only to be kicked out of the contest and be thrown out by the Sling of Shame, leaving only you two standing… And for tonight, only one will be left standing and will take home the million dollars."

Ginger and Lucas look at each other excited and confident, determined to give it their all to win.

"Let's do a quick review: Bianca, Isaac, Erika, Chantal, Tony, Clover, Agatha, Julien, Pearl, Nigel, Maggie, Diego, Rita, Yoshi, Sonya, Hunter, Raymond, Pearl (again), Otis, Felix, and Karen. In that order, these 20 former contestants were eliminated, and now all of them will have the task of helping you overcome the final challenge and take the glory."

"What does that mean?" Ginger asked confused.

"It means that you will receive extra help for certain areas that you will have to cross in our final challenge" explains Chris excitedly. "We started this season with one race, and this is how we´re gonna end it: with one last race to victory!"

"Are they all really gonna help us?" Lucas asked incredulously.

"Well, not all of them. For obvious reasons, Karen can't participate in this, and someone else has already offered to take care of her."

"Certain areas?" Ginger repeated thoughtfully, "I still don't understand."

"As we no longer have an island to do challenges, we had to change things a bit, so we decided to do something different ..."

Ginger and Lucas look at each other confused and intrigued, terrified to think of what Chris had planned for them. Just then, their fears were silenced when a loud roar echoed throughout the area and a giant shadow covered much of the resort.

The two finalists look up and watch as Chantal's pirate airship, the Ravenous Condor, flies over the resort in all its glory, before powering up the thrusters and heading off in a certain direction.

"Your Final Challenge: Reach the Ravenous Condor!"

"You expect us to run to catch up with a giant flying ship running on foot?" Lucas asks incredulously, "Do you think we're stupid?"

"The truth? Yes, I think so" answers Chris amused. "The grand finale will consist in that, with the extra help of the ex-contestants, you will have to overcome different zones in the race, based on the challenges of past episodes, until you reach the final zone where flying vehicles will be waiting for you to be used to trying to reach the aircraft in mid-flight. The first to board the airship… will be crowned the winner of Total Drama: Enchanted."

Confessional

Ginger - "This was the best experience of my life! I'm glad I met so many people and made new friends! I'm so excited to be in the final! I don't know if I should laugh or cry, but I'm hysterical!"

Lucas - "Well, but look at this, I'm in the grand finale. Finally it was time to prove that I am better than everyone else. Yes, I admit I had some good luck, but who needs skills when you have good luck on your side? You better watch out, because I'll show you a true champion."

"If there is no island, where is this race going to take place?" Ginger questioned, remembering that little detail.

"Thanks to some contacts, we managed to get one of the most iconic and famous cities in the world" explained Chris enthusiastically. "This race will be around… New York City!"

The two finalists look at each other excited. Visiting a famous city was never in his plans during the competition.

"Your first helpers are already waiting for you at the dock" Chris concludes his explanation. "Well, I suppose everything is clear to you, and if that is not the case, then it is your problem. Good luck to you both, because you are going to need it."

With everything explained, Chris leaves to take a well-deserved rest, while the two finalists decide to start and run towards the docks, although Lucas stays a while longer at the table to gather and store all the food he could in his clothing.

Confessional

Lucas - "What? We earned that banquet! I'm not going to waste it just because I'm in a race. Besides, I'm going to need a lot of energy if I want to win this."

The two finalists arrive at the docks, where they find two boats ready, and next to them the first helpers wait, who were in the middle of a silent discussion, and already seemed determined to kill the other.

"Clover? Tony? Are you our helpers?" Ginger is surprised, considering they weren't on the same team.

"That's right!" Clover responds, pushing Tony aside, and holding the maid's shoulder. "We will take you to the city where this race continues."

"Come on, buddy!" Tony immediately calls Lucas, pushing him towards the boat and mounting it as well. "I will gladly help you crush your competition!"

"Don't worry, Ginger! I'm going to make sure that bug doesn't beat us!" Clover exclaimed hastily, pushing her into the launch as well as the other aide did.

The two launches shot out of the docks at full blast, finally beginning the final race to victory.

During the journey, in which his boat was traveling at full speed, Lucas tried to continue with his early lunch, trying to put a sausage in his mouth, but due to all the movement of the boat on the waves, it ended up falling into the water.

"Hey Tony! Go slow, will you?" Lucas asks, pulling another sausage out of his pocket.

"Lucas, I don't expect you to understand this, but the point of a race is to take as much advantage over your opponent as possible," Tony explains as he drives, making sure to stay in front and get past Clover.

"Oh that" Lucas downplays, "I can take care of that."

In the other boat, Ginger tried to hold on to her seat to avoid falling, because her boat was also going too fast and jumping a lot through the waves, not expecting anything of what is to come ...

Splat!

An apple pie explodes right in her face, but what really bothered her was that her boat got dirty.

"Oh no! The boat is ruined!" Ginger cried, pulling out a damp cloth and starting to clean it up.

"Forget about it! They are attacking us!" Clover says to him, watching as more food is flying towards them from the other boat.

Crash!

The girls 'boat jerks when the boys' boat collides with them. There the agent notices the mocking looks from Lucas and Tony.

"Hey! These are not bumper cars! I warn you that I can put a ticket on you!" Clover scolds them, trying to catch up.

"Here is your precious ticket!" Tony exclaimed, spinning his boat in a zigzag, splashing a lot of water on his opponents.

"Okay. I'm done," murmured the soaked agent.

Clover puts the speed to the limit to be as close as possible to the other boat, then takes out a lipstick, points it with a hawk-eye at the controls, and shoots a pair of electrified cables.

The two boys did not have time to react when the entire boat received the electric shock that affected them both. Engines blow up and controls burn out, causing the vehicle to stop in the middle of the water.

"Sayonara, losers!" Clover said as he sped past them, kicking up a wave that washed over the boys.

Confessional

Clover - "Yes, I remember saying that I shouldn't use these gadgets to win competitions, so don't imitate what I've done, okay?"

"Dang it! Crap! And other human swears!" Tony took his anger out on the melted controls, steaming that helped him dry. "These archaic vehicles are so useless!"

"Thanks Tony, for real! Because of you now I'm going to lose!" Lucas reproaches him, crossed his arms.

"This is not going to end like this" growled the alien boy.

Tony starts to think of a quick solution when he takes a look at the ocean and the back of the vehicle. It was then that a spotlight went on over his head.

"Lucas, take the wheel. I'll push this junk from the water."

"Uhm…" Lucas looked unsure and seemed to be putting up with a little tease.

"Uhm? What does that mean?" Tony asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't be offended, but I don't see how that will help. Your noodle arms don't look very formed," Lucas explained, as if it were obvious.

"I will let you know that I am much stronger than I appear, buddy."

Somewhat offended, Tony jumps straight into the water, leaving only Lucas, who shrugs and sits next to the controls, deciding to give up and finish his sausage.

"This is going to take hours ..."

However, instead of waiting for the boat to move slowly, it lifts up a bit in the air and sped through the water. Lucas is startled and takes the wheel, full of excitement at how fast they are going.

"Let me know next time, will you?!"

Of course, he never realized that there was actually a familiar giant sea creature underneath the boat that was carrying it and swimming at top speed.

Back in the other boat, Clover drove more calmly now, convinced that the boys will never catch up with them now.

"Don't worry about a thing, Ginger. Now you have the full advantage."

"Did you say something, Clover?"

Ginger had not heard anything, because apparently she had spent the whole trip cleaning the dirt from the boat, like Lucas's food and seaweed, without paying attention to the previous lawsuit.

As she continues with her task, the maid looks away and sees the other boat approaching quickly, practically on their heels.

"Look! The boys recovered!"

Clover turns around and is incredulous to see them recovered, despite the fact that she melted all the controls on their boat.

But then she watches carefully and discovers the sea monster that was carrying the boat on her back, easily guessing what, or who, it was in this case. The worst thing is that the monster was giving a mischievous look directly at her.

"DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!"

The sea monster sank a bit into the water, then took a great leap over it, revealing its purple scales, green fins, and yellow eyes. The dip that followed caused a large wave that nearly sank the girls' boat.

"See you later, fools!" Lucas scoffs, not thinking about the detail that there was a sea monster under his boat, but the fact of being in front was enough.

Now it was Clover who was fuming, while a fish leaped over her hair. The only good thing is that his vehicle has not overturned.

"Did you see that creature?" Ginger asked in wonder, "It was totally fabulous!"

"Rather scandalous," moaned a drenched Clover.

After a bit more traveling, New York Harbor was finally in sight. Thanks to his monstrous advantage, Lucas's boat reached the nearest dock first. Once they've stopped, Tony changes back into human form, before exiting the water and meeting Lucas at the dock.

"See, Lucas? I told you I'm much stronger than I look" Tony reminded him proudly.

"Yeah yeah, you did well" Lucas had to admit. "Sure, I could have done better, but I still appreciate your help."

Having said that, Lucas runs off the scene towards the nearest road, leaving Tony somewhat confused by that statement.

Behind him finally comes the other boat, and from there Ginger immediately gets off, running to regain her lost advantage. Later Clover gets off, who was still upset by what happened, and she joins Tony, who looks at her amused.

"So… how's that ticket going?"

Ginger quickly managed to catch up with Lucas, who had stopped at the entrance to the docks, where they unexpectedly came across a very familiar person in particular.

"Well, it was about time you guys arrived"

They are greeted by the person, an adult blonde woman, who is easily recognized by the younger contestants.

This woman was slim with long dyed blonde hair, and she wore a red dress and heels of the same color, plus large red earrings and a gold bracelet on each hand.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe it!" Ginger exclaimed as she recognized her, "It's Mildred!"

"My name is Blaineley, you dumbass!" exclaimed the grown woman totally offended.

"Sorry, who were you again?" Lucas asks him confused.

"Ugh, whatever," Blaineley snorted dismissively. "Anyway, surely you must be surprised to see me back, Blaineley Stacey Andrews O'Halloran!"

"Not really. Rather confused" clarified Lucas. "Chris never said anything about a special guest in the finale."

"That Chris is a bit old for this. It's normal for him to start forgetting things" replied Blaineley mischievously. "I am here as a host and special guest to guide you to the different zones that you must cross to win this competition."

"I'm ... pretty sure you're almost the same age," Ginger commented.

"Shut up for once!" the grown woman yells at them impatiently. "Your next location is the Empire State Building! Go go go!"

Ginger and Lucas run towards the nearest road, and quickly manage to get a taxi for the two. Behind them, Blaineley stays on the dock and heads for the camera.

"The last race to victory has already started, and to everyone's surprise, the first helpers were… actually useful."

From the back, Clover and Tony listened and glared at her, but Blaineley just ignores them and continues.

"But this race is far from over. Let's wait and see if the other helpers turn out to be a help, or nothing more than a burden, for the finalists."

In the taxi, the journey had been mostly silent as they waited for their next location. Lucas was trying to open a bag of chips, while Ginger was silent with a nervous expression. After a while, she was the first to speak.

"Hey, Lucas…" she started shyly, "I just want to say… I'm really sorry I did all that fuss over an idol. I should have helped you instead of running away."

"Huh?" Lucas was not paying attention, as he had barely managed to open his bag of chips.

"In the semifinal, when you thought I stole an idol from you" she explains, still remembering the drama between the two of them over a stolen idol.

"Oh that" he finally remembered, so he smiled at her saying, "Put it under the bridge."

"Thank you very much" Ginger breathes a sigh of relief, happy that this is under the bridge.

However, she is still not calm, knowing that something important is still missing.

"And… don't you think you should apologize too?"

"Why?" Lucas lets out a mocking snort. "You stole that idol from me, and you already apologized. End of story."

"I didn't steal it from you! You blamed me without proof!" Ginger testified, somewhat annoyed.

"Listen, I'm not going to apologize just to make you feel better" Lucas makes clear, "After all, you were the one who played dirty with me."

"Oh, that wasn't playing dirty with you" Ginger now had a serious and cold look, "This is playing dirty with you."

The taxi stops in the middle of the street, when the door opens and Lucas stumbles from there and falls, as Ginger had thrown him out of the vehicle. Before he can go back inside, she closes the door for him and activates the lock.

"Hey! Let me in!" Lucas growled, trying to open it without success.

The window opens a bit, and Ginger leans out to see him coldly and contemptuously.

"Apologize" she orders him.

"Never!" he stated in response.

Ginger opens the door a little and drops all the snack that Lucas had left on his seat on the street. The taxi kept going and the rear wheel crushed all the garbage.

"Apologize!" she orders him again.

"Is that the best you have?" he taunts, hitting her glass to annoy her.

Ginger comes out again and manages to snatch Lucas's wallet. She takes out a credit card and scissors, making her intention clear with these.

"Last chance" she warns him.

Confessional

Ginger - "I know I'm going overboard on this, but Lucas had to learn a lesson."

Lucas - "I really didn't mind losing that wallet. After all, that's my brother's that I stole before coming to this contest. Still, I'm not going to let that maid get away with believing that she's in the right thing".

Lucas was glaring at her, but out of the corner of his eye he managed to notice that Ginger had forgotten to lift the safety back. Lucas's revenge consisted of opening the door, causing Ginger to stumble, then slamming it shut… right on the maid's foot.

That painful blow forces her to inhale a lot of air… and let out a loud, high-pitched scream of pain and agony.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"

Everything, and absolutely anything made of glass for miles breaks at the sharp screech, with the owner holding back tears of pain. Lucas lets out a victorious laugh and climbs back into the taxi.

"Quick, taxi driver! Take us to the Empire State Building!"

"We have already arrived, five minutes ago" the taxi driver clarifies in response, impatiently.

The two finalists look out the window to see that they were indeed already parked right in front of the Empire State Building. Through the rear-view mirror, the taxi driver looks at them waiting for their payment.

"He pays for both of us!" Ginger points to her opponent, getting out of the cab before anyone else.

"Hey! Get back here and pay your share!" Lucas also gets out of the taxi to chase her, leaving the taxi driver alone, without payment.

"Hey kids! You forgot about my money!"

The taxi driver is suddenly hit in the face by some coins and bills that Lucas threw at him.

The two finalists rush into the building, glaring at each other as they walked through the doors. Downstairs, next to the reception, they suddenly meet Blaineley again, who was already waiting for them while she was reading a magazine.

"You guys are really slow for a race," the substitute host commented upon seeing them enter.

"How did you manage to get here so fast?" Ginger is surprised.

"The magic of television ... and everyone knows that the subway is way faster than a taxi in New York" replied the hostess. "Time to move on to the next phase of the race!"

Blaineley guides them to a couple of large suitcases that were next to the stairs. Along with these were already the next two assistants: Pearl and Nigel.

"The challenge is to take these briefcases up to the balcony on the 86th floor, and be careful because the contents of the briefcase are very important," Blaineley warns them. "Good luck!"

"I'm really surprised that you two are our finalists" Nigel commented when they saw them arrive.

"Don't be cruel, Nigel" Pearl said, giving him a little push "They tried so hard to get here."

"No, they didn't. They were just lucky, that's all" Nigel scoffed, only to later look at her more daringly. "Like you, my precious Pearl."

"What do you mean by that?" she asked somewhat offended, although she couldn't help but be a little nervous at the look he gave her.

"I'm just saying, you were very lucky to be the one who won the second chance in the game" he explains, walking next to the suitcases while he kept that look.

"Oh, w-well… It still didn't do me any good" she blushed, looking away from him, embarrassed that she had lost.

"Don't feel bad, my shining Pearl. There will be more opportunities" Nigel smiles at her, walking away from the suitcases after a while.

"Ahem… are we interrupting something?"

The couple see the two finalists looking at them, Ginger with hearts in her eyes, and Lucas totally impatient.

"No, we're done here" Nigel replies, when Pearl removes the blush from her face.

"Well, the challenge dictates that we have to help you carry the suitcases up the stairs to the balcony," the blonde explained, as she regained her composure.

"Say what!? I'm not going up all those stairs!" Lucas complained. "Can't we use the elevator?"

"Sorry, kid. The elevator is out of order now," Nigel explained dismissively.

"But I don't see anything that says it's broken."

Out of nowhere, Blaineley returns and taps an Out of Service sign on the elevator door, before walking off the way he came.

"Oh, now I get it."

The finalists and their assistants pick up their respective suitcases, realizing that they are heavier than expected, and they begin to climb the steps quickly and being careful not to drop their load.

However, after climbing a few floors, the duo of Nigel and Lucas were already beginning to feel tired, and their suitcase was already difficult to carry.

"How much more?" Lucas asked between breaths.

"About… 80 floors," Nigel groaned in response. "It is impossible to carry this to the end."

"Did you guys get tired so soon?"

Along with them, the duo of Pearl and Ginger passed, only, unlike them, they were full of energy and did the job without difficulty.

"How ... do you girls do it?" Nigel dared to ask.

"I'm the star player on the sports team at my school. I have to stay in good shape," Pearl replied proudly.

"I'm always moving from one place to another. I'm used to using my legs a lot" Ginger replied with a smile.

The duo of girls continues to climb the stairs with a lot of energy taking advantage of this advantage, leaving behind the duo of tired boys.

"No! ... They're going to beat us!" Lucas moaned tiredly.

"Easy, kid" Nigel encourages, with a mischievous smile, "I already prepared us for this kind of scenario."

On the balcony at the top of the building, the duo of girls is the first to arrive. They were tired and sweaty a lot, but at least they are ahead.

"Good way to show female power" greets them Blaineley, who somehow arrived before them.

"How is it possible?" Pearl moaned between breaths. "You said… the elevator… was out of service."

"Yeah, that's what I said ..." Blaineley cut her explanation off there, making it clear that she was just lying. "I hope you have taken good care of that suitcase, because the content is essential for the next part of this challenge."

The girls open their suitcase, and are disturbed to find its contents: wooden heads carved in the shape of the contestants in this cast.

"Now it's a fun memory challenge. Your job here is to arrange the heads in the order that their teammates were eliminated," explains Blaineley.

"Oh! I remember it!" Ginger exclaimed happily.

The maid collects all the wooden heads and quickly places them in a specific order, much to the admiration of Pearl and Blaineley.

Confessional

Ginger - "I always have to do many tasks, so I have to remember many things at the same time. In short, I have a great memory."

"Done!"

Blaineley takes a look at Ginger's work, making sure the wooden heads are in the correct order.

The order she had was: Bianca, Isaac, Erika, Chantal, Tony, Clover, Agatha, Julien, Nigel, Maggie, Diego, Rita, Yoshi, Sonya, Hunter, Raymond, Pearl, Otis, Felix, Karen.

"Sorry, it's incomplete" stated Blaineley.

"What?" Ginger whimpered.

"But all the heads are there!" Pearl demanded.

"If my memory serves me, there was a contestant who was eliminated twice" explained the hostess mischievously, looking specifically at the blonde.

That's when reality hit Pearl like a bucket of cold water. She was the contestant eliminated twice.

"Pearl!" Ginger scolds her with her arms crossed.

"But I didn't do anything!" the blonde tried to excuse herself. "I don't know how we could lose…"

And that's when reality hit her again, harder this time for that dirty play, and her face turns red with anger.

"NIGEL!"

"Did someone… call my name?"

Behind them, the boys finally arrived, totally tired and sweaty, and they even looked dead from thirst and their legs couldn't take any more. Of course, Nigel had no rest when Pearl came to him.

"Where is my head?" she asked directly.

"I'd say you're wearing it, but I think that would be wrong" he teased in response.

"You know what I'm talking about! I can't believe you're still fooling and sabotaging me like that!"

"I'm sorry, precious. That's what I am" he replied.

"And where is the lost wooden head?" she asks again.

"Right now? Probably the ground floor."

Pearl moans in exhaustion knowing that she has to go back down, only this time she decides to take the elevator, leaving them alone.

"Wait a minute… the elevator works?" Nigel questioned incredulously.

"We've been through this once. Forget it," Blaineley told them.

When opening the suitcase and taking out their own collection of wooden heads, the boys begin to arrange them, only it was more difficult for them to remember the correct order.

"Don't worry, friend. I'll figure it out" Lucas said to his assistant, before turning to his former partner now his opponent. "Hey Ginger! Can you help us here?"

"Are you going to apologize?"

"Forget it!"

Lucas loses his spirits and returns to his assistant, who looks at him with a raised eyebrow at that pathetic attempt.

"Look closely, I'm going to show you how it's done."

Nigel stands next to Ginger, who was not fazed at all by his suspicious presence, and she only reacted when she heard him say:

"Hey girl, downstairs there is an elderly lady who needs help with charity."

"Oh! I'll help you, Grandma!"

Falling for that lie, Ginger runs down the stairs, leaving the duo of boys alone with the hostess, and with the order of wooden heads of the girls at his disposal.

"Taking advantage of the naivete of your opponents, eh? ... Well played" Blaineley congratulates him.

Lucas now had a free hand to arrange the heads in the order of elimination, including Pearl's missing head, as Nigel remembered that moment well.

By the time he finished, the order he had was: Bianca, Isaac, Erika, Chantal, Tony, Clover, Agatha, Julien, Pearl, Nigel, Maggie, Diego, Rita, Yoshi, Sonya, Hunter, Raymond, Pearl, Otis, Felix, Karen.

"We have a winner!" Blaineley exclaimed.

Lucas starts celebrating and performing a victory dance, and high-fives with Nigel.

"Okay, Lucas, your next stop is the NYPL, aka the New York Public Library," explains the hostess.

Lucas nods and quickly rides the elevator back to the ground floor. On the way there he meets Pearl, who has already found the lost head, before heading out onto the street and quickly catching a taxi to the Public Library.

Confessional

Lucas - "Ha! Now I have the advantage! I already have many chances to win!"

After several minutes of travel, the delay due to the horrible traffic that defines this city, Lucas finally manages to reach the famous New York Public Library.

There in front of the entrance, the next assistants, Bianca and Diego, were already waiting. Next to them, again strangely, was also Blaineley.

"How did you manage ...?"

"That doesn't matter. Time for the next challenge of the race" Blaineley silences him. "The next challenge is to get into the library and find a Gilded Chris Award, and get out without getting caught."

"That's very easy!" Lucas commented anxiously along with Diego.

"Come on my friend! It's adventure time!"

Diego carries him with a smile towards the entrance, only to be quickly stopped by the hostess, who had not finished explaining yet.

"Woah, woah, woah! Wait a minute! I must warn you that you must be very careful, and above all quiet, because the librarian we hire is VERY strict."

"What does that mean?" Bianca asked from behind.

"See for yourself."

Blaineley guides them to the floor where the main reading room is located. This room was the size of a soccer field, with two large rows of tables occupied by people, with lots of computers, lamps and books, and around it was several shelves full of books. Inside there was a constant and deadly silence, so much so that even the smallest noise could be heard from the other end of the place.

However, a poor boy had the misfortune to step on a loose tile on the floor, sounding a crack in response.

The librarian, who turned out to be the brute soldier Agatha, hears the infamous noise. She frowns and snaps her book shut, then rises from her place, demonstrating her intimidating and commanding appearance.

The librarian Agatha catches the poor boy, who was paralyzed with panic, and whispers directly into his ear:

"I said ... QUIET"

Agatha then carries the boy out of the building, before giving him a kick that sends him flying across the street, landing directly in a garbage dump.

"Uh… is that even legal?" Bianca asked.

"I don't know, nor do I care," said Blaineley, shrugging. "Good luck!"

Lucas and Diego take the courage and cross the doors to enter the library, careful not to make noise that attracts the librarian Agatha.

"This will be very simple" Lucas whispered smugly.

However, due to a very clumsy movement, he bumps into a shelf and a random vase ends up falling to the ground, making a loud noise.

Agatha, standing at the other end of the room and reading a book, manages to hear the noise and directs a hard look in that direction, but she does not find anyone to accuse, so she returns to reading it.

Lucas and Diego managed to hide under a table in time, and they can now breathe easy.

"Diego, we have to be more careful. They almost caught us there," Lucas warns him in a whisper.

"Understood, my friend!" Diego exclaimed loudly, and Lucas immediately covers her mouth with his hand, while they both flee from her hiding place when Agatha checks the place of the noise.

Using a student group as a hiding place, much to their dismay, the finalist and his assistant were searching for the statue's hiding place, only until the students were fed up with having them literally breathe on them and walk away, forcing them to hide under another table.

"I found our treasure" Diego told him then.

The jungle boy points to a place near where Agatha was located. By narrowing his eyes, he could see that the two statuettes were placed just above the highest shelf, behind the soldier.

"Oh, come on!" Lucas moaned when he saw that the soldier would not leave her position, "How are we going to achieve that with that giantess in the middle?"

Diego took a calculating glance at the room, more specifically at the walls and ceiling, from which several chandeliers hung. A spotlight lit up over his head, and in passing marvels at the brightness of it.

"Hold on, my friend!" Diego picks up Lucas and lifts him onto his back, ordering him to cling to him, "Hold on like a sparrow without feathers to his mother!"

Lucas just looks at him confused, but he listens and grabs him by the shirt, just in time for Diego to run and jump over to the shelves, placing his hands and feet on them and starting to climb them.

Agatha hears a whole scandal towards a corner of the room, only to see Diego climb the shelves and the walls trying to reach the ceiling, with the aim of him holding on to avoid falling.

"Stop it! You can't do that!" she exclaims, running towards them and trying to catch up with them. "Get down now so I can tear you apart!"

Laughing like crazy, Diego jumps from the wall to the nearest chandelier. Once he lands "softly", dropping some spotlights to the ground, he and Lucas begin to jump from one chandelier to another, closing in on the statuettes overhead.

Not wanting to be defeated like that, Agatha begins to pick up several books, and then start throwing them at the boys trying to knock them down.

Confessional

Agatha - "With pleasure I would jump to catch them immediately and crush their skulls, but I have the order not to cause any monetary damage, so I have to limit myself to throwing books ... Hmph, how boring."

While all that scandal was going on inside the library, outside had finally arrived Ginger, who quickly meets up with Bianca to receive her next challenge. After Pearl regained her lost head, and assuming that the old charity lady is gone, Ginger finally got rid of that challenge and is now trying to make up for that lost time.

The finalist and her helper quietly enter the main room, only to find the boys jumping on the chandeliers, quite close to the other end where the statuettes were, with an angry Agatha throwing books at them, as well as lamps, computers, chairs, and even other poor people who were within his reach.

"They are going to beat us!" Ginger cried desperately, not wanting to waste any more time.

"Don't worry. I can fix it" Bianca said, taking her cell phone from her to quickly download an application.

Diego reaches the other end and lands on the shelf, and Lucas catches a statuette with a smile, all while Agatha glared at them.

Near them, Ginger and Bianca walked quietly, trying not to attract the attention of the "librarian". When they are in sight, Bianca takes her cell phone from her and activates her new application: a laser pointer.

A red light moves right over Agatha's face, and she tried to shake it off her, but the most important thing was Diego's gaze, mesmerized by the bright light.

"Diego, don't do it!" Lucas told him, but he is completely ignored.

Like a rabid cat, Diego throws himself on the red dot, and on Agatha. The soldier is assaulted by the wild animal and tries to get rid of it, but Diego was too persistent, with his nails digging into her lush hair, with Bianca securing the red dot on them toward them off.

"Quick, Ginger! Go get the statuette! I'll distract them!" Bianca exclaimed.

Ginger runs and rushes to take the statuette, while Lucas runs past, with his own statuette, and tries to flee the place.

Seeing her targets trying to escape, Agatha grabs Diego by the neck and smashes him to the ground, and she also snatches Bianca's cell phone and smashes it into one fist.

"Hey! You're going to pay for that!" Bianca threatened her, but she fell silent when the soldier responded with a growl of fury.

Lucas and Ginger were already near the exit, when then the broken cell phone flew off and collided with the door, causing them to step back in fear.

"I can't understand how you two made it to the final!" Agatha snarled at them disdainfully, "You two are so small and weak! You are so pathetic! Any other scrawny in this cast deserved that position more than you!"

"Look who says it?" Lucas snorted in derision, "You didn't even make it to the fusion!"

That insult seems to touch a nerve in Agatha, who frowns in rage and snorts steam through her nose as if she were a raging bull. She lets out a growl and runs straight towards them with the intention of ramming them and sending them flying.

The two finalists let out a scream, or rather shrieks of fear, and run towards the exit, with crazy Agatha on their heels. In the end they manage to get out of the room and close the door behind them, but that didn't do much good when the soldier pushed her head through the door easily.

After some more chasing, Ginger and Lucas finally manage to find the exit of the Public Library, and incidentally throw their statuettes at Blaineley, who falls to the ground from the quick blow.

"Hey! Be more careful with my hair!" scolds the hostess, "Your next stop is Chinatown!"

The two finalists don't stop when they hear Agatha's grunting nearby, and they rush to catch a taxi together to their next location.

"AND NEVER COME BACK!" Agatha exclaims when she sees them escape.

"You won't ever come back either" Blaineley scolds her, disturbed by that level of rage.

"I wasn't going to" the soldier shrugs, with Diego and Bianca coming out with bruises.

On the journey to Chinatown, the two finalists took time to rest and catch their breath. However, there was some tension between them, as now one lost its advantage over the other.

"Great, now thanks to Diego, I lost my advantage" Lucas moaned frustrated.

"Don't feel bad" Ginger tries to cheer him up, "At least now you have time to apologize too."

"With that again? Get over it!" he told her tiredly, "That was a long time ago!"

"That was just yesterday, and the apology was about two hours ago" she reminded him dryly.

"So long? You really do hold a grudge" he commented in response.

"I don't see what the problem is, Lucas. It's not bad to admit that you made a mistake."

"I didn't make any mistakes. I don't know what you're talking about" Lucas crosses his arms, convinced.

"I don't expect you to understand" she murmured in response.

"What did you say?" he looks at her then, suspicious, "Are you making fun of me?"

"No not at all!" Ginger clarified scared.

"Of course you're making fun of me! Well, no more!" Lucas raises his hand in determination, "Once I win this race, everyone will understand that I am more smarter than all of them combined!"

"They won't see it that way if you can't speak well."

Lucas turns to her opponent, who was looking at him a bit shy to keep talking, but now she was willing to say what she thinks.

"It is said smarter, not more smarter" she explains. "That's something you learn in high school."

"Oh please! In high school they teach you a lot of useless nonsense in life!" Lucas grumbled. "TV makes you think high school is a musical, but it's not!"

"But in high school you can make a lot of new friends, and learn various great things about the world," Ginger justified.

"Like what for example?" he asks, "What was your best moment in school?"

"Well… in gardening I made my first ever friend" she replied cheerfully.

"Oh yeah?" Lucas looks at her defiantly, "Let me guess, is that friend a potted plant?"

"What? No, of course not" Ginger lets out a shy and awkward laugh, "How do you think that?"

Confessional

Ginger - (She was holding and hugging a potted plant) "Shhh, don't feel bad, nothing I said is true. I would never deny our friendship ... Oh! Hello everyone! I want you to meet my first friend in life: Planty, the Flowerpot!"

"Aha, I'm just telling the truth, and you're just saying… that nonsense you just said" Lucas crosses his arms, deciding to end the talk.

"Really? Nonsense?" Ginger scoffed, "Chantal's pirates would make you walk the plank for that irony."

"Thanks, because I'm very good with an iron," explains Lucas, who somehow got an ironing board, and was ironing a T-shirt. "And you too could really learn things, if you didn't have a head full of sand!"

"Better to have a head full of sand than rocks, like yours!"

"RAGH! Enough!" Lucas was fed up. "Stop the car!"

"Yes, taxi driver! Stop!" Ginger was fed up too.

"We're here anyway," replies the taxi driver, parked at the entrance to Chinatown, "We've been here like 10 minutes. Are you blind, or what?"

"No, we're probably just dumb" Lucas shrugs.

The two finalists get out of the taxi and look at the famous Chinatown neighborhood with admiration, only to later remember that they are in a fight and look at each other with hatred.

"Okay, Ginger, I propose something to you" Lucas said then. "What about a bet?"

"A bet?" she questions curious.

"If I win this race ... then you will be my servant for all eternity" was Lucas's bet.

"Okay" she accepted, "And if I win ... you will accept your mistake and you will apologize."

"Deal!"

The two close the bet with a handshake and run to the place of the next challenge.

After a few minutes of searching around the neighborhood, he finally meets Blaineley, who was already waiting for them again.

"Hello again, finalists!" she greets them, guiding them to a specific Chinese restaurant. "Time for the next challenge!"

Inside the restaurant there were two rows of tables, both filled with all kinds of dishes related to the place, such as sushi, tofu, spring rolls, dumplings, soup, as well as chickens, meats and stews. In short, it looks like they ordered the entire menu.

As in the previous challenges, here they have a helper already present. This time, the helpers will be Erika and Yoshi.

"In this challenge, you and your helpers will have to eat everything you have on your tables, and you cannot leave without cleaning every last plate."

Ginger smiles cheerfully while Lucas licks his lips.

Confessional

Lucas - "Just in time for lunch!"

The two finalists and their assistants take their seats in front of their banquets, while they wait for the signal to begin. Ginger was already holding chopsticks in her hands, not noticing that Erika had a nervous expression. Lucas, on the other hand, had trouble holding chopsticks.

"This does not work!" he groaned when they dropped again, watching his assistant use them without difficulty. "Yoshi, you are Chinese! Help me with these!"

"First of all, I'm not Chinese, I'm Japanese" Yoshi corrects him with a sigh, "Second, it's not that difficult to handle chopsticks. It just requires being skilled with your fingers."

"I really don't see the difference," Lucas admitted, tossing the chopsticks to the ground. "Anyway, I will only use the best weapon of humans: my own hands."

"Ready ... set ... EAT!"

The four of them quickly eat all the dishes right away. Lucas was the one who ate the most, as he only collected as much as he could with his hands. Ginger ate fast too, trying to keep up, but her opponent was more skilled here.

However, the assistants were the key point. Yoshi was eating slowly and calmly, preferring to chew and swallow rather than just swallow. Erika on the other hand ...

"Erika, I don't want to bother you, but I would really appreciate your help here" Ginger told her between bites.

However, Erika could only sit there without eating anything, cowering in embarrassment.

Confessional

Erika - "I don't have the ability to ingest food yet. My parental units are working to help me with that, but until then, I can't risk damaging my systems. I'm so sorry, Ginger, but I can't help you here."

The boys' table emptied of food pretty quickly, mostly thanks to Lucas, because Yoshi was more polite about his food.

"Pass me more bread, please!" Lucas ordered between bites as he spread buttered bread.

"Lucas, don't fill yourself with bread" advises Yoshi.

On the other hand, the girls' table was slower, as there was only one person eating, and it was not as fast as her opponent, while the other only stood still as a statue.

"DONE!"

Blaineley rises from his place and observes that the boys' table was already cleared of food, all the plates empty, and Lucas swallowing the last bite, before letting out a loud burp.

"Speaking of manners," Blaineley groaned at the finalist's impudence, "Well done Lucas! Now your next location is the Sewers!"

"Wait what?" Lucas stops hearing the next challenge from him.

"You heard me" Blaineley said no more.

Lucas takes off running and manages to ride the closest taxi to the harbor, leaving Ginger desperate to be behind in the race, so she begins to use quirky tricks.

Confessional

Ginger - "I didn't want to try this, but I didn't have time to waste anymore. I've seen videos about tricks to eat faster. I didn't know if it's fair or not, but I didn't care anymore."

Ginger throws some of her food into her water glasses to make them liquid for easier and faster swallowing. Erika was watching her closely, ready to act in case her partner chokes.

"Is there a reason you don't eat, Erika?"

Erika easily heard Yoshi's murmur, who sat down next to her to rest his full stomach.

"It's ... difficult to explain my situation."

"I have time" he stated, "You can trust me."

"I don't think this is the best time to discuss that" she commented with a nervous expression.

"Done!"

Ginger slams her chopsticks against the table and holds her full stomach as she rushes to get a cab and catch up with Lucas.

Confessional

Ginger - "I really didn't like leaving all those dishes uncleaned, but I have a race to win."

Lucas reached the docks, where they had first arrived. There he again he meets Blaineley, and also with the assistants, Chantal and Otis, along with the same boats they used before.

"I have to say I'm surprised you're leading Lucas," Blaineley admitted.

"I really want to know how fast you are" answered Lucas intrigued. "Can you fly?"

"No, I'm just an expert hostess" she said vanity. "The next challenge is simple: go through the sewers of New York and get a lizard tooth."

"What? And exactly how is that simple?" Lucas complained.

"Saying it is simple, doing it is something else" smiled the hostess cheekily.

"Let's do this now" Otis interrupts then, grabbing and dragging Lucas into his boat, "The sooner the better."

"Just one last warning!" Blaineley adds quickly. "Like in the library, there will be another obstacle in there for you to avoid!"

Otis drives the boat through the harbor, until it reaches the entrance to the sewers. He immediately pulls out a flashlight so he can see in the dark as they enter the stinking sewers.

The horrible stench was annoying, but Otis's stamina helps him cope without a problem. Lucas, on the other hand, was not as strong as him, besides having eaten an enormous amount of food, and he couldn't help but throw up.

"Lucas, if you dare to throw up on me, I'll personally throw you in the dirty water" Otis threatens him in passing.

Lucas wipes the drool from his mouth, until he watches some air bubbles move towards them.

"I think we have company."

Otis stops the boat upon hearing the finalist's warning, and also manages to catch a dark figure approaching.

The water shakes as a huge reptilian creature towers over them. A gigantic albino lizard with a metal collar stares at them with sharp teeth watching them with a savage gaze.

"I don't see any obstacles here" Otis commented, giggling at the animal, "I'm not afraid of you."

"He is not the one you should fear."

Lucas and Otis freeze when they hear the menacing and spiteful voice, while the lizard jerks when something tugs on his necklace.

"I didn't know that lizards knew psychopathy," Lucas commented.

"It's telepathy" Otis corrects him, looking at the animal suspiciously, "And it wasn't him who spoke."

The lizard recoils again when a certain reckless hunter emerges above it, looking at them with a savage gaze that leaves that of the reptile short.

"Greetings, fresh meat" greeted the hunter.

"Ugh, Hunter" Otis grumbled wearily. "What are you doing here?"

"Like the grumpy Agatha, I was offered the task of hindering the progress of the finalists" Hunter explained, giving Lucas a sadistic look, "And I gladly agreed."

"Lucas, take care of Hunter" Otis orders him, cracking his knuckles, "I'll take care of the lizard."

"Attack them, reptile!" Hunter orders the lizard, releasing the leash.

Confessional

Otis - "After I got kicked out because of Felix, I kind of needed to hit something hard already."

The giant crocodile lets out a roar as it lunges towards the boat. Otis lets out his own roar as he lunges towards the animal and punches it in the snout, before they both fall into the water, leaving Lucas alone in the boat ... with Hunter.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" Hunter smirked, "A sewer rat that escaped from his cage."

"Well, I haven't seen any rats here", Lucas innocently commented, looking for said rat, "You should take better care of your cages."

"I can't understand how an inept like you made it to the final" Hunter grumbled hatefully, walking slowly towards his goal, "I deserved that position much more than you moron, or that schizophrenic lackey."

"Do you want to stop throwing tantrums about that?" Lucas responds fed up, "You already lost! Get over it! It's not my fault you couldn't notice a cheater right in front of you."

Hunter's response was a direct punch to Lucas's face, sending him flying straight for the walls.

"Once I'm done with you, I'll go straight to that creeping snake to rip all that hair out with my bare hands."

Hunter jumps straight at Lucas, intending to smash him again with a fist, but the finalist manages to dodge at the last second, causing the hunter to hit the concrete floor instead ...

Back at the entrance to the sewers, Ginger finally arrives with her assistant Chantal in the boat.

"We're late!" Ginger cried nervously at her handicap.

"Don't worry, comrade!" Chantal was not nervous at all, "A lizard is no problem for me."

Confessional

Chantal - "I remember once I had to jump into a sea full of sharks just because a valuable necklace fell there ... Let's just say that those sharks now sleep with the fish."

They enter the sewers, determined to find the lizard, but their search is not long when said giant lizard flies past them and crashes against the wall, full of bruises, his teeth shattered, and unconscious.

"That felt so good" Otis commented with a satisfied smile, shaking his knuckles to relax.

"That was… pretty easy" Chantal commented with disappointment that she won't be able to fight anyone.

Ginger wastes no time and climbs the lizard to remove a tooth, which was already loose from Otis's beating. She then grabs the boat and heads for the exit at the other end, when out of nowhere a knife appears out of nowhere and digs into one of her pigtails on the controls.

"Not so fast, shorty!" Hunter was having fun torturing Lucas, but he was keeping an eye on the other finalist. "You and the inept will make good punching bags."

Ginger was trying to remove the knife from her hair, but it was driven too deep. Luckily for her, Chantal was there to get her out of her tight spot.

"Stop right there!" the pirate stops the hunter. "You don't get out of here unscathed!"

"Step aside, actress" Hunter ordered her, giggling at the threat, "You're just a waste of my time."

"So you want to play, huh?" Chantal draws her sword, determined to prove her worth.

"As you wish" Hunter shrugs and releases Lucas, then draws his own sword. "Someone must remind you of your place on the food chain."

Chantal and Hunter squint at each other, then launch into a fight with their swords raised.

As the fights raged, Ginger took the opportunity to break free and escape the sewers in her boat, exiting through a large pipe at the other end.

Finally escaping the creepy sewers, she manages to reach another dock, where she meets Blaineley again, only this time she was wearing a gas mask.

"Congratulations, Ginger! After many crazy things, you finally take the lead!" she announced, though her voice was not well heard through the mask.

"YIPPEE!" the maid jumps for joy as she delivers the lizard tooth.

"Don't celebrate ahead of time, that the race is not over yet. The next location is Central Park."

Ginger nods and starts running towards that direction, while Blaineley sees the other boat arrive, which took off as it avoided being eaten by the lizard.

Ginger finally manages to reach the great lake in Central Park, and next to it were Maggie and Felix with some canoes. These two seemed to avoid any crossing of words between them.

"Hi girl!" Maggie greets her upon seeing her arrive, receiving a hug from the maid.

Just in time, Blaineley also arrives, who was already beginning to look tired from moving from one place to another.

"Give me a break. I haven't traveled this way in a long time" the hostess told them between breaths.

"You should take a break, Mildred" Ginger advised seeing her so tired.

Stifling a growl at that name, Blaineley pulls himself together and returns her attention to the contest.

"Your next challenge, Ginger, is to row your canoe to the center of the lake, where you will find a buoy with two flags. Get one and then row to the other end."

"That sounds too easy" Maggie cheered.

"Yeah, that sounds easy now" Blaineley smirked. "Good luck!"

Ginger and Maggie take their canoe and begin paddling toward the center of the lake, while Felix begins to grow impatient.

"And where is that good-for-nothing slack?" the tycoon searched his surroundings.

Just then Lucas also arrives, tired of running from one place to another. Felix just looked at him disapprovingly.

"It was about time you arrived. What a finalist you are, Lucas" commented the mogul with disdain.

"You're just jealous that I went further than you, right?" Lucas questions.

"No way. In fact, you could say that it was thanks to me that you are in the final" replied Felix, pretending to be important. "And I'm not letting my efforts go down the drain you came out of."

Lucas and Felix take their own canoe and start rowing, trying to catch up with the girls.

The girls finally manage to find the buoy with the flags, but on their way, they began to hear a strange chewing noise.

"Do you hear something, girl?" Maggie does not finish when something comes out of the water and she begins to bite her arm, and several turtles emerge from the water that mercilessly bite the canoe and the girls.

"Aww, they're so cute" Ginger catches one and strokes it, despite having others biting her hair.

Confessional

Maggie - "Oh, that's what dyeing meant when she said it just sounded easy."

The girls finally make it to the buoy and grab their flag, while trying to get the turtles off of them. They begin to row to the finish line, when then some turtles fly straight towards them.

"But what…?" the cowgirl moaned and saw what was happening behind them.

While the boys rowed towards the buoy and its flag, Lucas took the turtles without suffering from the bites, and passed them to Felix, who batted them with his oar towards his opponents with the intention of sinking them.

"Lucas, give me another one" Felix orders him. "It is time to sink that peasant girl."

Lucas just sticks his hand in the water and waits for the bites. Once he feels them, he takes out a turtle and hands it to Felix.

Confessional

Felix - "I would like to take this moment to thank my teacher Jensen for all those tennis lessons. In the end, they were useful to me."

With a sinister smile, Felix kept batting the turtles at the girls. Ginger didn't seem to mind, but Maggie has had enough.

"Ginger, you row for a moment. I have to get rid of that vulture."

The cowgirl stands up and balances on the canoe and lifts her paddle high. She had a hawk's eye on the boys, and she sees several turtles flying straight at them, so she starts hitting them back, hoping one of them will hit the boys.

"Counterattack!" Lucas exclaimed, once he picked up the flag and watching the turtles return towards them.

"HA! Nice try, shepherd girl!" Felix taunted, using his own paddle to block the attacks.

However, the luck of the boys ends when another turtle emerges, much bigger than the others, and he looked with hatred at the tycoon for the mistreatment of his young.

"Get away, vermin, or I'll make turtle soup with you" Felix threatens, hitting him with his oar.

In response, the giant tortoise growls and lunges at the boys, completely destroying their canoe and leaving them at the mercy of the reptiles.

Ginger and Maggie finally reach the other end of the lake safe and sound, and Blaineley arrives to claim the screen again.

"Excellent, Ginger, you still have your lead. Your next, and penultimate stop, is the Broadway Theater."

Ginger runs towards the park exit, while Lucas and Felix emerge from the lake, their clothes in shreds and hundreds of turtles biting them on every part of their body.

Confessional

Ginger - "I can't believe how close I am to winning! I want to thank all my friends who helped me get here!"

The taxi took Ginger straight to the Broadway Theater, and the next assistants, Sonya and Julien, were already waiting at the entrance, along with Blaineley. She quickly gives her best friend a big hug.

"Seriously, you guys should use the subway. It's much quicker and easier, regardless of the dirt and homeless," Blaineley commented. "Anyway, the penultimate challenge of the race consists of ... a fashion competition!"

Ginger already had an anxious look, while Sonya looked suspiciously at the hostess.

"What do you mean by that?" the singer asked with an arched brow.

"The finalist must design a beautiful dress that the assistant must wear and impress the judge, that is me. If I love your work, you can continue."

The two girls nod and go backstage, finding all kinds of fabrics, dresses and suits, and sewing supplies to work with.

"Just sit back and watch, best friend!" Ginger exclaimed confidently, taking various cloths and needles in her hand. "I'll make you the best dress ever!"

"If you say so" Sonya smiled as she took a seat and watched the artist work.

Meanwhile, Lucas also finally arrives at the theater, where he meets Blaineley and his new assistant Julien. The hostess wastes no time explaining the fashion and sewing challenge.

"Hurry up buddy! Those chicks are giving us a hard time!" Julien hurries him.

"Another challenge? This is taking forever!" Lucas moaned exhausted. "I want my million to go home!"

"Easy, pal! Two more challenges and that million will be yours!" Julien stated amused.

The two boys also went to another room full of sewing supplies, separated from the girls so as not to be interrupted.

"Well dude? What's the plan?" Julien started after a while.

"Well… I'm supposed to make you look as cool as possible" Lucas guessed with effort.

"Pah! Don't make me laugh!" Julien scoffed. "I'm already great! I dare you to admire me and say that I'm not perfect!"

"But we need to impress the judges!" Lucas exclaimed impatiently.

"I can impress anyone with my amazing body" Julien smirked, running her hands over his hips.

"That doesn't work for me!"

"There is no way ... I am not going to wear that."

Ginger had finished sewing a bright and wonderful dress with sparkles that simulated the stars. However, just being a dress was enough to lower Sonya's spirits.

"Why don't you like it? All girls love dresses."

"I am not like the other girls" argued the singer. "I thought it was clear by now."

"Please, friend! Do it for me!" the maid sobbed, looking at her with the typical tender eyes of a sad puppy. "Pleeeeeaaaaase".

Sonya made an effort to hold the puppy dog eyes, but her defense fell quickly, and she sighed in defeat.

"Ugh, fine, I'll wear it… But let me give it a personal touch."

Lucas was trying too hard to think of something, to the point that some smoke was coming out of his head making Julien cough, all the product of his brain working too hard.

"RAGH! This isn't working! My brain is failing me!" Lucas groaned, rubbing the temples of his head.

"Definitely" Julien laughed as he coughed from the smoke.

"Why did they have to invent clothes? It's just a hindrance to the body! It's better that we all have no clothes!"

"Listen, nobody likes to wear clothes, but you know… it's the law."

"Julien, you are my helper! Come help me with this!"

"As His Majesty orders it," laughed the joker.

Julien begins to take a look at all the clothes available, trying to figure out what to do with those. After a minute of observation, he finally comes up with something.

"Heh, I'll do more than just help you."

Confessional

Julien - "I'll tell you a little secret of mine: I have a lot of experience in dresses and sewing, as well as knowing how to put on a good show. They did well to assign me this challenge."

The stage begins to light up, taking Blaineley by surprise. She quickly rejoins and prepares to see the show. Ginger comes out of a corner and joins her to see too.

The curtain rises, as pop music begins to play, and the singer Sonya arrives on stage, wearing a dazzling star dress, although there was a part torn off to give it more style, and on top she is wearing a red leather jacket, and glasses of the sun, shaped like hearts, all while she begins to sing ...

Sonya

I threw a wish in the well
Don't ask me, I'll never tell
I looked to you as it fell
And now you're in my way

Your stare was holdin'
Ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're going, baby?

Hey, I just met you
And this is crazy
But here's my number
So call me, maybe
It's hard to look right
At you baby
But here's my number
So call me, maybe

Blaineley and Ginger let out a round of applause for the performance, as the singer leaves the stage and rushes to retrieve her favorite clothes.

"Not bad, not bad," Blaineley admitted, thinking about the details of her dress. "You can see the effort, and it can be tailored to a person's unique style. I like it."

Ginger jumps for joy, glad to know that she liked her job. She was ready to leave and move on, but the hostess tries to stop her.

"Hey Ginger! Don't you want to stay and watch the rest of the show?"

"No thanks! I want to continue the race!" she replied.

"SIT DOWN!" Blaineley ordered firmly, not wanting to waste time.

Ginger flinches and takes a seat next to her and Sonya, just in time for Lucas's turn.

Lucas takes a seat next to the girls, as another hip hop-style song begins to play. For some reason, the boy seemed somewhat nervous and even ashamed of what they are about to witness. The curtain rises and Julien's outfit is shown, which was not at all what anyone expected.

Julien wore a tight black dress that highlighted his body, some hairnets on her legs, black heels, and a woman's wig, and he was holding an umbrella in his hand. Needless to say, the girls were… dumbfounded.

Julien

Uh, huh, uh, huh (good girl gone bad)
Uh, huh, uh, huh (take three, action)

You have my heart
And we'll never be worlds apart
May be in magazines
But you'll still be my star

Because
When the sun shine, we shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your friend
Took an oath, I'mma stick it out to the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we'll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella

Ella, ella, eh, eh, eh
Under my umbrella
Ella, ella, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh

Blaineley just went completely silent, not expecting that kind of show at all, while Lucas and Ginger applauded the joker boy.

"That speaks volumes for itself" Sonya commented, also throwing her round of applause.

"What about you, babe? No claps for daddy?" Julien asked the hostess.

"Well ... I guess that shows that the outfit fits anyone" Blaineley finally spoke as she compiled herself. "I have one comment or another, but that's more for the actor than the outfit."

Lucas raises a fist in the air with joy, while Julien strikes a victory pose.

"Well kids, you can go on now," Blaineley announced.

Ginger and Lucas glare at each other again and run outside the theater to finally finish this race.

Just as they leave the theater, they are shocked when they meet the next and last helpers in the race: Rita and Raymond. Lucas goes and high-fives Raymond, while Rita just looks at them with disdain and ignores Ginger's greetings.

Confessional

Rita - "I really don't understand how it was possible. It was already humiliating to lose to Lucas in a question-and-answer challenge, and daunting to be eliminated long before him, but now it turns out that ignorant is a finalist! Just illogical!"

"Yes, the last challenge is finally here" Blaineley spoke from behind. "It's time to finish this last race to victory! The helpers must escort you to our last location: the Statue of Liberty!"

"You roared, baby! Let's go, buddy!" Raymond helps Lucas climb onto his back.

"The main objective of the helpers is to take you to New York Harbor one more time, and from there you will continue alone. The first to arrive will be the winner of the race."

Raymond lifts Lucas onto his back, then runs down the sidewalk and jumps the skates off him. The two quickly lose sight of each other on the busy city streets.

"They're too fast! They're going to beat us!" Ginger whimpered.

"Do you want to shut up? I have a solution" Rita said with a suspicious smile.

Raymond skillfully skated through the city streets, dodging pedestrians and cars, and even jumping over and through some of these and doing stunts everywhere.

"COWABUNGA!" the two boys exclaimed with joy, confident in their imminent victory.

However, their joy is lost when out of nowhere something as fast as a bullet crosses past them, knocking them out of the way and knocking them down.

In front of them were Rita and Ginger, the former carrying the latter on her shoulders like the boys, while she used skates, but these were faster because they had propellant rockets implanted.

"ROCKET SKATES? NO FAIR!" exclaimed Raymond, pulling himself together with Lucas and determined to help his best friend win the race.

The race to the port was intense, with the girls taking a lot of advantage thanks to their rocket skates, forcing anyone to step aside. The scientist could only smile pleased with her partner, convinced that victory is already hers.

But the boys weren't going to give up. Seeing them take the safest path, the skater decided to take the narrower paths as shortcuts to reach them. They had to cross many pedestrian areas, avoid many people, and even go through houses.

Confessional

Raymond - "I live in the suburbs. I have a lot of experience doing stunts anywhere. The streets of New York don't know what hit them."

Rita calmly skated down the sidewalk, while Ginger couldn't help but smile with joy and excitement.

"Can you feel it, Ginger? Can you taste the victory?" Rita commented arrogantly as they made their way down the main avenue.

"The only thing I taste is the flies that stick to my face" replied Ginger, when out of nowhere her head hits a pigeon, and her feathers burst everywhere.

"Now that I'm chatting with you…" Rita's voice takes on a friendlier tone. "How about the idea of sharing the money with me?"

"Not just with you! I'm going to share it with everyone!" Ginger stated, brushing the feathers from her face.

"What? With everyone?" the scientist was outraged. "Why? Do you owe them money?"

"Of course not" laughed the maid, "I share it with everyone because I want to. That's what a good friend does."

Confessional

Rita - "Is that what friends do? Ugh, what a nonsense… That just reinforces my point that friends are just a complete waste of time."

Rita decides to leave the talk and focus on the race, seeing that the port was already in sight. It was then when they hear a scandal through the buildings, until they cross a construction site, when Raymond and Lucas fly out of nowhere from the area, stained with all kinds of things that they went through to get there like flour, feathers, glue, flowers, and now some cement, plus several scratches.

"No way! How did they reach us?" Rita was surprised.

"We take a shortcut!" Raymond exclaimed proudly, his face covered in dirty water, taking the lead.

"We are losing!" Ginger was horrified.

"Not for much longer." Rita frowns, pressing a few buttons on her skates.

The rockets increase the power, making the girls go faster and catch up with the boys without problems, but then ...

BOOM!

One of the rocket skates explodes due to the power, disorienting the girls, while the other starts spinning uncontrollably, and they end up crashing into the boys. The four fall to the ground and begin to roll and crash down the street, just in front of the port.

Blaineley was waiting for the finalists in the harbor while she was painting her lipstick, when she saw the runners come crashing down with no signs of stopping. She lets out a cry of panic and jumps to the side, letting them pass and crashing into a wall.

"WHO WON?!" exclaimed the finalists, moaning in pain from the shock.

"Nobody yet!" Blaineley reminds them angrily, as her fall almost ruined her makeup. "You have yet to get to the Statue of Liberty!"

From the port you could already see the Statue of Liberty in the distance, and around it was flying its final target: the Ravenous Condor.

"The finalists must ride the jet skis to Liberty Island," Blaineley clarified impatiently, "First to arrive ... takes it all."

Ginger and Lucas waste no time and go to take the jet skis that were available, and quickly take off to their last location.

On the Island of Liberty, all the ex-contestants, except for two, were already present next to a finish line. Blaineley comes out of nowhere, ready to greet the finalists.

"Seriously, baby" Julien was surprised. "How the hell do you do that?"

"You will never know" Blaineley laughed boastfully, "Well, we are already in the final stage of the race, and the finalists are…"

"WAIT! HOLD ON! STOP EVERYTHING!"

The noise of a loudspeaker deafens them all, when a helicopter arrives, and Chris quickly gets off, with an annoyed look and a megaphone in hand, which he uses to yell at the substitute hostess.

"Blaineley! What the heck are you doing here?" Chris yelled right in her face with the megaphone.

"Well as you can see, Christian…" Blaineley pulls the megaphone away from her face. "I am here as a special guest."

"No one said anything about a special guest in the finale!" Chris chided, "You just snuck into the contest again!"

"Ugh, okay, I admit it" moaned the dyed blonde, starting to explain herself. "I didn't really want to be here to begin with. I was interviewing for another show, but those dumb judges said I needed more 'on-screen experience' so I had no choice but to come here on the inexplicably more famous international reality show".

"Get your on-screen experience elsewhere! This is my show!" the host reminds her, taking the megaphone again. "Now get lost!"

"Meh, whatever" she shrugs, going back where she came from "I was leaving anyway."

Once the fake hostess is out of sight, Chris takes his place as the real host and turns his attention to the camera.

"It seems that the last race to the victory has gotten very intense. The finalists are not going to give a step, and now that they are alone, it is all or nothing!"

The race for the sea was quite calm in itself, if you do not count the two finalists bumping into each other and looking at each other with hatred and contempt. However, attention was caught by something strange on its way.

In the middle of the water, there were some metal balls floating around, and a pigeon had the courage to perch on one of them.

KABOOM!

The metal balls, which turned out to be mines, exploded here and there, terrifying the finalists as they tried to reach the goal.

"AH! Why are there mines here?" they were both horrified.

Confessional

Chris McLean - "Why not?"

Ginger and Lucas kept bumping into each other, arguing loudly and dodging the mines on their way. They were both determined to win this race.

"Get out of my way, girl! I'll win this race!" Lucas takes the lead.

"No! I'm going to win!" Ginger responds, stepping forward. "Just go home! Then you can win the laziest contest!"

"At least I don't have to dress like a jester or polish my nails!" he claimed.

"Says the boy who eats his own nails!" she berates him back, earning a gasp from the boy.

"I can't believe what I'm hearing!"

"How can you hear me with those waxed ears?!"

Lucas's face was red with anger, thinking of some insult towards his opponent, and Ginger looked at him with contempt, ready to blurt out everything she thought.

"You are a clown!"

"And you a pig!"

"Naive!"

"Ignorant!"

"Bootlicker!"

"Selfish!"

"Slave!"

"Idle!"

The two let out a cry of annoyance, just as Lucas manages to get ahead, and in passing looks back at the girl who bites the dust, or salt water in this case.

"At least I'm going to the front!" Lucas boasted.

"But at least I do look where I'm going!" Ginger steps aside.

Lucas didn't understand what he was referring to, when he turned his attention to the road, and right in front there was a mine waiting for him.

KABOOM!

The explosion sends Lucas flying into the sky, while Ginger takes advantage and takes the lead.

Chris and the ex-contestants were already at the finish line waiting for the winner, when they see a jet ski stop at the dock. Ginger is the first to arrive!

She quickly breaks into a run and finds the finish line in the distance, with all of her girl friends supporting her, yelling at her to hurry up and run fast.

However, a few meters from the goal, everyone sees something big falling from the sky directly towards them. It was Lucas, falling like a meteor on his jet ski.

Ginger picks up her pace, trying to get there first.

Lucas was falling very fast, and he was going to land right over the goal.

Everyone looks intrigued and expectant at the outcome of the race.

"And the winner is…!"

Less than a meter from the finish line, in slow motion, Ginger takes one last leap to reach it, when Lucas's fireball was already right on top.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The scene had to be repeated three times, and the explosion raised a cloud of dust over everyone present. Once dispersed, everyone could finally see the outcome:

Both Ginger and Lucas were on the finish line, which was destroyed by the explosion and left a small crater.

"A TIE?!" they all exclaimed in surprise.

"A tie!" Chris announced in amazement. "I did not see that one coming."

"What?!" the finalists moaned, totally sore from the accident.

"And now that?" Bianca questioned, confused along with most. "They split the money?"

"What a silly question! Of course not!" Chris was outraged. "I still have a final challenge prepared that will break the tiebreaker and finally define the big winner ..."

The finalists and all the ex-contestants smile anxiously, but Chris breaks that joy by continuing:

"Which we will save for the NEXT EPISODE!"

"What!?" no one could believe it, and the complaints and claims were immediate.

"Oh, come on!"

"You can't leave us like this!"

"I want to go home!"

Chris just calls them all to shut up with a loud bang from his megaphone, as he turns his attention to the audience with an excited smile.

"Come back to see us next time, where the finalists will continue to fight a duel to the death, for the million dollars. Who will win? Who will fly? Who will survive? Find out in the FINAL EPISODE of…!"

"TOTAL! DRAMA! ENCHA-!"

Chris is interrupted when several strange explosions are heard, all coming from the pirate aircraft flying over them and the island.

"Hey! What are you doing to my airship?!" Chantal questions, drawing a sword and glaring at Chris.

"Nothing, I swear!" Chris stated, raising his hands innocently.

On board the pirate airship, Chef Hatchet was the one at the helm and piloting it, unaware of what was to come right now.

PUM!

The front door explodes and flies off, and a whole bunch of pirates enter and surround Chef with their swords, forcing him to raise his hands in surrender.

"What is the meaning of all this?" asked the furious and indignant co-host.

"There is a new captain on board."

Chef Hatchet recognizes the distorted voice, and watches a familiar mysterious guy covered in a hood enter behind them with complete calm and tranquility.

The Hooded Guy had arrived, and it was carrying the briefcase with the million dollars in hands.

"Throw him overboard," the guy ordered with a snap of its fingers.

Everyone on the island could watch as Chef Hatchet was mercilessly thrown into the void, falling straight towards them.

"Chef Hatchet!" Chris was horrified, going to catch his friend, "Don't worry, buddy! I've got you!"

Chris hoped to catch his friend with his hands, but Chef forcibly lands right next to him, crashing into the hard concrete.

"Chef! What's going on?" Chris wanted an explanation.

"Exactly what I warned you about would happen!" Chef groaned in annoyance. "Your stupid mole is rebelling and stealing everything!"

"What!?" they all exclaimed upon hearing about the mole again, but their attention is caught when a megaphone screeches from the aircraft, and the distorted voice begins to speak.

"Is this thing on? Testing, testing ..." the voice clears its throat a bit, before continuing. "Greetings contestants. You don't know me, but I do know all of you, thanks to access to your curriculums and audition tapes. I must admit I had fun doing this job as a mole in the contest, but due to certain circumstances presented here, I've realized that I don't need any of this anymore. I don't need to continue these annoying contracts anymore, and I already got what I came looking for from the beginning."

Everyone was fearful and disturbed hearing all that, but no one had time to claim anything when the Ravenous Condor stops her walk and just floats in front of the cast and the island for some reason.

"Without anything else to clarify, this is the farewell. See ya never, losers."

Being the owner and having perfect knowledge of the vehicle, Chantal opens her eyes in horror and panic when she realizes what the strange guy is about to do.

"EVERYONE DOWN NOW!"

Some cannons emerge from the airship and begin to bombard the entire area, with the intention of incapacitating everyone. The explosions flood the place, including the Statue of Liberty itself, for a full minute until a ceasefire occurs.

Fortunately, there were no casualties and they all survived the bombardment, with some injuries, but most of them were fine.

"What does that guy think is doing? It has a contract!" Chris complained totally disheveled.

"THAT MISERABLE THIEF IS STEALING MY AIRSHIP AND ALL MY CREW!" growled an angry Chantal.

"And my million dollars!" Lucas added horrified.

"You mean my million dollars, right?" Ginger said next to him.

Everyone present was growling and yelling all sorts of inconsistencies, confused and fearful about everything that just happened, but they all shut up when Chris blasts his megaphone once more.

"Attention cast! There is a change of plans!" Chris explains seriously along with Chef. "We have a stowaway and fugitive who thinks is better than us, and it is your duty to get rid of that treacherous trickster."

Everyone listened dumbfounded, some still fearful about everything that had happened, but others already had pleased smiles when they received the message that the host wanted to convey. The Ravenous Condor was beginning to move away over the horizon, but everyone was already ready to face the mole that had been tormenting them all season.

"YOUR FINAL CHALLENGE: TAKE DOWN THAT MOLE!"

FINALISTS

Ginger, Lucas

Are you already fed up with my cliffhangers? TOO BAD!

If I could describe this whole chapter in one word, it would be chaotic. A lot of things happened in this chapter, and there is still another that will culminate everything that I have been putting together so far.

First of all, I think Ginger and Lucas can work well as finalists, and all of their helpers were either very helpful, or complete loads. My intention with the finale was to give all the characters a bit of relevance, and I think I did a good job. Everyone had even a little dialogue and a moment to shine.

Blaineley's appearance was something he had already planned, as the special guests were something of this season. At first, she wasn't going to be here, but having just Chris everywhere would have been very monotonous and even boring. All of this was quite fun to write and I hope you enjoyed her presence.

However, I'm sure the most shocking thing was the final scene with the Hooded Guy taking control of the Ravenous Condor. After several episodes of just being there and imposing his presence on Karen, the guy finally moves his body a little more and puts his plan into action. What happened for the guy to take that course of action? What is he planning? What happened to Karen? And above all, where is Isaac in all this?

The reason for doing this whole race in New York City is because Pahkitew Island no longer exists, and I wanted to do this in a place that people know very well. I originally wanted to do it somewhere in Canada, but I didn't find historic locations for these specific challenges. These challenges are all based on those seen in previous chapters, such as:

New York Harbor: An Explosive Beginning

Empire State Building: Trivial Pursuit & Roulette of Torture

New York Public Library: Virtual Library Rats & The Lost Treasure of the Golden McLean

Chinatown: One Coarse Meal

Sewers: Pahkitew Gone Wild! & The Legend of the Monster of Boney Island

Central Park: Brawl in the Waterfall

Broadway Theater: The Bat in the Hat & Face the Music

Statue of Liberty: Wreckfest & Knockout Race

After all, New York City has already been visited twice in the franchise, on World Tour (Broadway, Baby!), and Ridonculous Race (A Million Ways to Lose a Million Dollars). A fun fact is that when I was writing this chapter, I felt like I was writing an episode of The Ridonculous Race.

Originally, there was also another subplot that would unfold during the race, with the Hooded Guy taking control of the aircraft, as well as a talk between Karen and Isaac, but due to the length of the chapter, I had to cut them and save them for the next one. episode.

Like the other chapters, this one also has references here and there, some are found in some dialogues. I think the most curious are with the songs. Sonya singing Call Me Maybe is a reference again to Sing, where Ash also sang it (and the Sing 2 trailer finally came out too! I'm excited!), while Julien parodying Umbrella is a reference to the Lip Sync Battle, where Tom Holland performed Rihanna.

Well, I think that makes it all clear. If you still have doubts, leave them in your reviews, I already miss you. The next chapter will take a while, but it will come soon. Just be patient.

We will read each other in the next chapter, which is titled Under the Hood/The Ultimate Champion. See you!
