Hi there!
Having been a part of this community for a long time, I finally decided to upload something of mine here:)
This story takes place in an imaginary world, where ninjas as we know them exist, but there's a heavy influence of Kings and Lords, who take the place of Kages. To summarize it a bit, it goes like that:
There's a bloody war, where the two sides consist of Hashirama, Madara, Mito and the rest of the gang (our gang, they are living in the same era) who fight to free the world from Kaguya and her minions. The war is won, guess who gets betrayed when the lotts are divided (evil smile).
At the very peak of the war, the Harunos along with the Uchihas, betrothed their children (Sakura wasn't born yet, but Sasuke was a babe) taking a blood oath as it is custom between royal families (it's my world people) and thus uniting them since that moment, tying together their futures...Now many years later this deal is asked forward, but one of them doesn't want to do so...Too bad that this is not gonna happen, as deals are meant to be kept by those who make them.
This story is obviously a work of fiction and I make no profit for publishing it here. It's solely based on Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto and my own imagination.
Hope you enjoy it and please do leave back any sort of feedback as I'm still working with the idea and it could greatly help me improve farther my writing and dictate what path will this story follow(I have an idea on mind but, it's not completely worked out yet, so any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance!)
Have fun! :)

Mebuki Haruno was looking at the dark blue clear sky, holding back her tears, not wanting them to touch the epitome of innocence that was resting in her slightly cold, shaking arms, unaware of what was happening around them, of the chaos and depression that surrounded them, surrounded her.
It had been seven long years of pain, blood and war but finally it was over and the sun was shining once again upon a free land. Kaguya was finally dead, and her tyranny was over, the horrors of her regime left in the past as distant, bad memories. They had won. Hashirama Senju, her older half brother with whom she shared only the blood of her mother, along with the darling of his heart, the redhead beauty, Mito Uzumaki and the aristocratic looking Madara Uchiha with whom he was best friends, were the ones that had played the main role in what had happened, they were the ones that had lead the revolution. They were finally safe. She was safe, along with the little infant that was sleeping peacefully in her embrace under the deep blue sky of Konoha. She was safe, but at the what cost?
Her heart was broken to a million little tiny pieces, no medicine capable of mending it again. He had been her first love, her other half, her everything. They were promised to become the rulers of Konoha, a gift her late mother had left to her, before drawing her last breath, and their child, the fruit of their true love would make Konoha bloom again in the previous beauty that had held many years ago before Kaguya had gotten the sacred land inside her claws. But, no, they were betrayed in the most despicable way imaginable, by her own brother, her own flesh and blood, who gave the promised land to his fiancé's family in order to ask her hand and their aid to to overthrow Kaguya and win this long and bloody war.
As her belly grew day by day, her disappointment and sadnest filled them both, until one day, Kizashi couldn't take it anymore, being humiliated like that, his wife and child not getting what they deserved, what was rightfully theirs. He went to her brother and demanded to be given what was promised to him - Konoha.
But, fate was really against them, as she was left alone and her child was orphaned before coming to life. Kizashi had been assassinated in his way to the palace, some low thief's had gotten the better of him and stabbed them straight in the heart, before leaving, taking everything he had on him, even the most precious thing he had - his own life.
She didn't have the strength to go against her brother just like he had and so, she was forgotten by them. She was left alone, given only a small part of earth where she could carry on with her life. Still she was respected by everyone but only as the sister of the hero, not as a hero herself and that wasn't fair, because she had also fought in the war.
She was humming a lullaby to the infant who was happily gumming her breast, completely oblivious to the feelings of the woman who was singing her to sleep, the sweet voice of her mother, soothing her along with her caring touch . Sakura, her little angel, was a beauty to behold, with pink hair, the same colour as the flowers she was named after, and bright forest green eyes which always made her mother cry, as they were full of life and joy, while her mother hadn't felt like that for a very long time, not since she had lost her dear late husband.
It was the soft voice of her most faithful servant that broke her eye contact with her daughter. "My lady, " she started speaking, "There is someone here who wants to speak with you."
"Uchiha Fugaku," Mebuki whispered as she noticed the dark looming figure behind her servant, his dark aura sending chills to her shoulders. With her emotions getting the best of her, she held tighter her daughter, trying to protect her from the man who was standing before them.
"Mebuki," he adressed her informally just like the way he spoke to her before Kizashi's death, when they were still friends, "Please don't be so formal. We are still friends, after all, aren't we? "
"No, Fugaku, we aren't friends anymore. You stopped being my friend when you didn't interfere and let Kizashi die, trying to be given what was ours, what was his." Mebuki was still holding her daughter tightly as she spoke to the man before her.
"Fine, then, let it be as you want, " he said to her, almost spitting out his words, "The war is finally over, but not everyone of us got what he wanted. You're not the only one who is feeling hurt and got betrayed by those who are now sitting above us all. "
Mebuki moved away her head, trying to hide the tears on her eyes, tears that his voice had caused, making her remember her past with all of them, him, Mikoto and, most importantly, Kizashi, memories from a time when she too knew what happiness felt like.
"When the war was finally won," she heard him saying but didn't move, "Hashirama and Mito stabbed Madara behind his back. They took Konoha for themselves and gave the other villages to whoever they liked, leaving to Madara, who was the one who gave us the win, rulership of Sound. Of Sound! Do you find it right that he, along with every Uchiha ,who fought and made the dream of peace come true, are now fated to stay in Sound, where the spirits of Kaguya and her followers are locked? "
Mebuki paled as she heard Sound, the name of the place that she had never dreamt of hearing. Madara would become the ruler of Sound. Of Sound. If that was true...Unconsciously, she held her baby closer, as if she wanted to protect her from the evilness and misery that surrounded them and a tear dropped ti the porcelain skin of the infant on her arms. "No..."
The moment that the teardrop came in contact with the skin, her daughter started crying, grabbing her white dress of her mother, her pink delicate little hands, asking the young mother to tend to her, to calm her and keep her close.
Fugaku waited for the baby to calm down, before he started speaking again. "About Sakura..."
"No...Don't you dare to finish that sentence!" She screamed to him, shaking her head not wanted him voice what was to happen. "Sakura will never marry, she will stay with me. Forever, you hear me, forever! "
Fugaku narrowed his eyes. Mebuki couldn't do this to him, to his clan. It was enough that her brother had betrayed them. She didn't have the right to betray the Uchiha again, for a second time. "When she comes off age-"
"Fugaku, please. Don't separate us. She's all that I have left." With a light touch she moved aside some hair that had fallen on Sakura's forehead, who murmured softly and drifted to sleep once again, getting comfort from her mother's soft and caring touch.
"We made a bargain, Mebuki, "he answered, his voice showing clearly that he was loosing his patience really fast, "It was you, Kizashi, Hashirama, Mito, Madara, me and Mikoto. You can't go back in your word, go back on what all of us agreed!"
"No, no!" Mebuki was now letting her tears fall as she couldn't hold them back anymore, the pain being more than what she could handle. "I swear to my late husband's soul , Fugaku, and I really mean it, that no man of this earth shall have my Sakura!"
"Mebuki, Mebuki... Don't play the fool, it doesn't suit you at all" Fugaku replied. "You know really well that an oath signed with blood can't be broken like that...Also, if you forgot, neither me or my son are citizens of this earth any more, your dear brother took personally care of that, so even if your oath had any sort of validation, it won't apply on Sasuke."
Mebuki felt like she was loosing the earth under her feet. In her fury, she had forgotten where the Uchihas belonged now and she couldn't take back her oath, the one she had taken back then. She couldn't take back what she had said because she had sworn in blood, and breaking her word would damn her own child, the Sage's soul forever cursing her. She was trapped.
Fugaku raised his head, which he had previously lowered so that he could get a better look at the infant before speaking. "For the help that the Uchiha offeed to the Senju in that long and bloody war, in order to achieve peace and finally connect the three most prestigious clans, when Sakura comes of age, she is to get married with my son, Sasuke Uchiha and rule the land of Sound by his side, becoming his equal as a ruler and mate. That's final and nothing can change it!" Those were his words as he touched lightly the pink hair that rested on the infant's little head.
Mebuki dropped to her knees, still holding tightly her little baby as she made a last attempt to change his mind. "Fugaku, please don't do that...Please, for the sake of our old friendship, don't take her from me." Tears were staining her cheeks as she tried for a last time to save her daughter, hoping to change her fate.
With a clearly annoyed look, Fugaku turned around and started walking to the door. When he reached it, he stood there for a second, before turning his head once again to her. "Eighteen years. That's all you have, before Haruno Sakura becomes officially Uchiha Sakura. Until then, don't expect to see me or anyone from my family. We will be stuck in that hellhole that your brother and his whore of a soon to become wife, forced us accept as our new home. Eighteen years. Or else, the Earth shall be pained by a war that no alliance will be able to end, until everything we know perishes."
After he said those words, he left immediately, letting Mebuki alone in her garden, sobbing uncontrollably, unable to change her daughter's dark future.

AN:So? How was it? I know it's short, but I am a fan of stories with short chapters, similar to the ones written by Dan Brown, so bare with me (they'll get longer in the future;) )
Please leave your thoughts on it so far. Critism is gladly accepted, as long as it's not meant in a bad way, a.k.a. flames.
Love you all, stay safe, until next time!
