F3: Hello everyone and welcome to chapter 15. We left off where Star and company were now making their return to the capital along with the backup they've acquired. RWBY is the property of Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. Also OC characters are owned by me unless said otherwise. With that said Let's Roll Out.

Volume 4-15 Blue: War Zone.

Back in the capital Melanie and Vanessa decided to go a meet up with May and Fenix that were waiting outside the capital not far from the entrance. The two walked out of the capital only to see a small camp being set up by the group of bandits that Fenix brought with him. She noticed that their wasn't many of them at least a good ten of them that were capable fighters while the rest of them seemed to help with other chores.

May saw the two of them approach the camp that was being built as Fenix followed her as well.

"Ah so this is the Vanessa Tora that you told me about. Not expecting a fine women such as yourself." Fenix said almost trying to flirt.

Vanessa gave a slight chuckle "I appreciate the comment but..." She paused a moment before raising her left hand showing the ring that was on her middle finger.

"I'm happily married thank you." Vanessa finished before putting her hand back down.

"Ah such a shame but you must have quiet the lucky man then but I believe we have other business to discuss if not mistaken." He replied.

"Yes. I believe May has told you the current situation that we are facing." Vanessa added.

"Indeed though I have a feeling that a few things have been left out in order to bring me and my men here." Fenix replied

"More likely for a good reason. I know it's a confusing situation but I'll try to explain it as best that I can." Melanie replied as the two of them explained everything the best they could to Fenix. His emotions were rather passive as he didn't express them but he was still processing the information.

After they told everything to him Fenix was able to finally speak.

"So what you are telling me that all Carmine want is her and her peoples home back that is currently being occupied by the White Fang in which the leader of it is also being forced to work for them." Fenix began.

"And that they're about to launch an attack on the academy in less than two days. If anything that is something we need to avoid." Fenix replied.

"Yes. The last thing we need is a panic which will only draw in grimm. I'm not having this place end up like Vale and Beacon." Vanessa said confidently.

"Well unless we come up with an idea then we're looking at that possibility." May replied.

Melanie's scroll buzzed as she had received a message on it as she checked it.

"Looks like Star and the others are heading back here and they have Carmine in tow. Though it might take them a day to get here." Melanie replied.

"Well that's some good news though it's going to cut it rather close." Her mother said a little relieved.

"Though now we have to discuss our next move." She added as they tried to figure out what to do next.

Melanie got an idea "Actually since I have made contact with Trifa. I could try getting some more information out of her and maybe find the whereabout of her family if they are in danger. If we can take away the leverage that is on her then maybe she won't attack the academy." Melanie replied.

"Though they more than likely increased their security so you won't be able to sneak in." Vanessa replied but Melanie just grinned.

"Who said I was going to sneak in? If we can call her on a secure line then we can get the information out of her." Melanie said.

"Are you certain that will work? Or will we be able to even communicate with her." Fenix asked.

Melanie nodded "Yeah. If she's using a scroll and I know she is, I should be able to pin down her scrolls ID number and call her. Maybe even convince her to stop the attack." Melanie replied.

"But I'm going to need a strong computer. Something with a strong enough processor." She added.

"I remember seeing one while in the computer class here at the academy. If we can use that then we can call Trifa. Though are you sure this is a good idea. What if this backfires?" May asked.

"It's the only thing I got right now. So better than nothing." Melanie replied.

"Very well. Though are sure she'll be willing to talk." Vanessa asked as Melanie nodded.

"Yeah. If it concerns her family then I know she'll talk." Melanie answered confidently.

"I'll stay here with my men to prepare for the potential attack. You all do your own thing." Fenix replied as the May, Melanie, and Vanessa headed back inside the capital and was walked toward the academy as they decided to put the plan to the test.

=RWBY=

The three arrived at the academy and immediately headed toward the academies computer room. Immediately Melanie placed herself down at one of the computers before she installed her scroll in a docking system as Melanie got to work as her fingers typed on the computer.

"Alright so what are we looking for exactly?" Her mother asked looking at the screen curiously.

"I'm looking for an ID number for Trifas scroll within a three mile radius. If the White Fang are communicating with their scrolls then I should be a able to find them without much issue." Melanie replied as a bunch of numbers appeared on the screen which seemed to be scroll numbers as if she was looking for one that is specific. Though she knew that most of the scroll numbers were students from the academy but after a few minutes Melanie was able to pin point the number to a number that didn't match the others.

"Got it. That has to be the number Trifa is using." Melanie said finally getting the number.

"Alright then let's give it a shot. Call her." Vanessa replied.

Melanie typed in the numbers that would be Trifa's as she proceed to call the women.

The scroll rang and rang for about a few more seconds before someone on the other line picked up.

"Who is this? And how did you get this number?" A female voice questioned that Melanie recognized.

"Trifa Valestein. This is Melanie Tora. We spoke to each other last night if you remember." Melanie asked.

"Oh... you. Yeah I remember that voice of yours." Trifa replied annoyingly.

"Listen. Are you alone right now? There is something I want to talk to you about." Melanie asked.

"Give me second." Trifa said as their was a pause in their conversation. A few tense minutes past before Trifa spoke again.

"Alright what do you want to talk about?" She questioned.

"Is their a reason behind attacking the academy other than causing a havoc?" Melanie questioned.

"So that's what this is about. To be honest I'm not sure why. All I'm trying to do is get my family back. I don't want them hurt." Trifa replied. Melanie was about speak up but this time Vanessa spoke up.

"I know you want to keep your family safe but you know what will happen if continue with this attack." Vanessa replied.

"What the! Who are you!?" Trifa questioned rather surprised about the new person who spoke.

"My name is Vanessa Tora. I'm the headmistress of Shade Academy. I'm also a mother as well. You were actually speaking with my daughter earlier. If it's alright that I may speak with you." Vanessa replied.

"... Fine. What do you want to know?" Trifa said.

"Just to clarify. My daughter told me that you are being forced to work with the White Fang because of your family is being threatened correct." Vanessa said calmly.

"... Yes. You would be correct." Trifa answered trying to sound calm.

"And that this Ilia Amitola. She's the one threatening your family yes." Vanessa replied in the same tone.

"Yeah... she said the next time she'd call... the academy had be destroyed. Saying that they own me now." Trifa said her voice trailing off.

"Did she say that she had your family? Or any sense of a picture to prove that they're alive?" Vanessa questioned.

"Yeah... she sent me a picture... I just want them safe." Trifa replied.

"Would it be possible for you to send us a picture?" Vanessa asked.

Almost immediately a picture came up on Melanies scroll seeing the picture of the her family. The husband looked like he was in bad shape with a cut above his left eye and along his cheeks. The two kids were in a little better shape than the husband with a some minor bruises.

Though in the picture they was some kind of wall behind them and the most distinctive thing was the ground was covered with sand. They can also see shadows of prison bars.

"Now you see. If I make one wrong move... they'll kill them." Trifa replied.

Vanessa thought a moment before she recalled the article about her cause several murders and other crimes.

"Now Miss Valenstien. I've read that their was an article about you committing murders and other crimes. Now-" Vanessa started but Trifa immediately responded.

"Those are lies! Made up by that company all because I'm a faunus! And that supposed riot was completely staged! I was lucky that I had an attorney to help me get parole." Trifa replied.

"So you're saying that article was falsified to give you a bad reputation." Vanessa added.

"Yeah... tried to find huntress work but news spread like wildfire. It pretty much ruined me so I decided to formerly retire." Trifa replied.

"I see..." Vanessa added.

"Are their anymore questions you'd like to ask?" Trifa questioned.

"Yeah just one more. If we we're to find your family... will you call off the attack on Shade Academy?" Vanessa questioned.

Trifa didn't answer immediately as their was a pause between them.

"If you can... just get them away from the capital. I can't guarantee I can stop them from attacking the academy. Have good day Miss. Tora." Trifa said before disconnecting from them.

"Okay why did you say that we would rescue them? We don't even know where they could be held." May replied.

Vanessa took hold of her daughters scroll as she looked at the photo as she examined it.

"Look at the background. More importantly the wall." She pointed out.

The two of them looked at the photo carefully and noticed it was nothing but jagged rock and stone.

"It's just a rock wall. What's so important of it?" Melanie asked.

"Not just any rock. That is sedimentary rock. Normally found in places called solution caves. That is where also dolomite rocks are. Very common in the desert and which means they can only be in one place." Vanessa said as she brought up the map of the mountains.

"Okay if I were someone to hide my people where would I hide?" She asked them.

"You think that whoever has Trifa's family is keeping them close by without her knowing." Melanie replied.

"That would make sense. Keeping her on a tight leach and making her do their bidding. It's an excellent scheme. But where would they hide them? There are many caves in the mountains that we don't have time to search them all." May added.

"Yes... but the main clue here is the dolomite. And their is only one cave that has that much dolomite." Vanessa replied as she extended the view toward the east side of the mountain.

"Their is a cave here that has a lot of dolomite in it. Plus its a forty minute walk from the property. And from the sounds of it she doesn't even know about it." Vanessa replied.

"Okay if her family is their then let's go get them and we can stop this in its tracks." Melanie replied.

"Oh no. Not this time. You put yourself in danger one too many times and this time it isn't going to happen." Vanessa said strictly.

"Mom. I can handle it. It shouldn't be that hard to sneak in and find them without anyone noticing me." Melanie argued.

"I'm sorry Melanie but I'm putting my foot down on this one." Vanessa said firmly.

Melanie sighed at this before she spoke again "What is it that you are afraid of? What do you have to worry about?" Melanie questioned.

That was the last thing Vanessa wanted to hear as she gripped her daughters arms.

"I don't want to lose you again!" Vanessa finally shouted which made Melanie stop in her tracks as she looked at her mother with May staring at the two of them.

Vanessa held her their for a moment before she spoke again as she looked at the ground. "When... you got hurt by that grimm... there was so much blood... your arm was gone. I thought that... you were going to die that day. It scared me. I felt like my world stopped. I didn't know if you were going to make it." Vanessa said tears threatening to stream down her face.

"I felt like a horrible parent. Me and your father both. I remember you struggling without your arm for a full year. A full year without your arm. You wake up screaming clutching your left arm even though it wasn't there. I stayed with you till you went back to sleep but I never left your side." She replied as tears dropped from her eyes as her legs felt weak buckling under her.

"I swore to never let that happen to you again and yet when you captured by them... it felt like I was revisiting that same event. I failed as a parent." Vanessa cried as she fell to her knees.

Melanie looked at her mother, the same women that had cared for her and helped her get through her troubles with her arm. Now here she was on the verge of tears saying how she failed her. She knelt down and wrapped her mother in an embrace as her mother put her head on her shoulders.

"Hey... you never failed me. You have always been their for me." Melanie started.

"You're not a bad parent. You and dad both. If anything I should apologize for putting you both in that situation. If I'd just listened to the both of you and stayed put I would still have my arm but I didn't. I'm sorry that I've worried you." Melanie replied as she held her mother for a few minutes.

She eventually let go and the two stood back up as Vanessa wiped away any stray tears.

"Feel better mom." Melanie said as the older tiger faunus nodded before looking at May.

"Sorry you had to see that. This usually isn't like me." Vanessa said but May just waved it off.

"Nah it's cool. I would've done the same thing if I was in her position. Besides it looked like you needed it." May replied simply.

"So... about rescuing them? How are we going to do that?" Melanie asked.

"I'd say the three of us should be enough. But first we have to do some recon make sure their aren't any surprises before we attempt it." Vanessa replied but the growling of somebodies stomach interrupted them. The sound was coming from May as she slightly blushed.

"How about some lunch first? I'm quite hungry after getting Fenix and his group here." May added.

"Alright. Lunch first then recon." Vanessa replied as the three exited the computer room. However what they didn't know that through the security cameras they were being watched by someone they didn't expect.

Theodore picked up his scroll and made a call "Yes... I want you to increase security around the cave. You might have some unwanted visitors." He said before hanging up.

"Sorry Miss Tora but I cannot have you interfering in this operation." He thought before he decided to leave the academy with a plan set in motion.

=RWBY=

In the desert as it has been so far smooth riding for Star and company but everyone still remained on guard incase anything they didn't like came along. However things were still rather tense between Carmine and Mars as she still didn't trust Carmine even though finding out that she didn't kill her mother.

Though that did make her wonder a few things about Carmine which she would save her questions for later as they continued to move forward to the capital even though they were still a several hours out. The sun above them was already past it's high point as they were about halfway to Corquina but still ways off from getting the capital.

"You think we'll make it in time?" Star asked Nebula who was still driving.

"I'm sure we'll make it. We're going as fast as we can so we should be fine if we keep going at this pace. When we reach Corquina we'll have to take a break and then it'll be a clear shot to the capital. No worries." Nebula replied.

Though it didn't help Star's worries as she continued to look straight ahead as she saw Carmine on her motorcycle keeping pace with everyone else in their desert vehicles. Though about ten minutes later into their ride one of Carmine men noticed something in the distance to the right of them and it was coming right at them.

"Hey! We got company!" He shouted out getting everyone's attention. Star looked out her window and at first she couldn't see anything as she then decided to get out climb on top of the truck.

"Keep it steady! I'm going to check it out!" Star called out as she climbed through the window and decided to check it out. Once she got to the top of the truck she noticed something in the distance as a mass of sand seemed to be moving on its own and it was going directly for them.

Though she noticed in the sand that something briefly came up from the sand and she saw a bone mask and yellow beady eyes.

"Oh crap. It's a grimm!" Star called out to everyone getting there attention.

Carmine heard her and scoffed that now a grimm had to show up. She placed two fingers to her left ear before she spoke.

"Okay bandits let's make this swift and quick! But also be careful we don't know what this thing can do." Carmine ordered as she then turned her bike toward the mass of sand as so did her bandits zooming right behind her.

Star noticed this as she banged on the top "Follow them. Maybe we can lend a hand." Star said as Nebula turned and followed them to help take care of the grimm.

The mass of sand continued to head toward them without stopped but when it was no more than sixty feet away from them it burst out of the sand and the grimm roared.

The grimm itself had a serpentine like body with white and red scales all along it's back with large spikes on the scales. It didn't appear to have legs as it moved swiftly on the surface but it did have two large pincers on the side of its jaw. It has a black underbelly with a mix of dark red.

Cardin and the rest looked out and noticed the large grimm.

"What is that thing!?" Cardin shouted.

Star just looked at it completely in shock about the size of the monstrous grimm. However that was when Nebula spoke.

"Damn it! It's a Serpantara!" Nebula shouted out.

"Is that bad?" Star asked from the roof of the truck.

"Very bad. This thing prays on big groups like us. We have to get away from it and fast." Nebula said.

Though that would be leaving Carmine and her group to deal with it and most likely get themselves hurt or even worse killed by this giant grimm. So without much deliberate Star took out her gunbreakers and wielded them her in hands.

"Even still let's help them out!" Star ordered.

"Are you insane!? We'll get killed by this thing if we help." Nebula replied.

"Yeah but if we run away it could follow us all the way to Corquina or worse. We deal with it here and now." Star said.

Growling in frustration Nebula eventually agreed "Okay fine but you better know what your doing." Nebula said as she pressed a button in the truck as the cover for the back of it suddenly came undone and flew off into the winds. Star jumped down from the roof of the truck and onto the back.

"Okay were going to need to hit it with long ranged attacks just to stay out of its reach. Mars used your bow to attack from a distance. Velvet will back you up." Star ordered as Mars brought out her bow and readied an arrow as Velvet created an equal copy of the same weapon.

"Cardin and Dew I need you two to blast it with dust. Keep it off balance as much as possible." Star added as the two nodded in response.

"Nebula try and circle that thing so it'll focus on us but don't get to close!" Star called out as then Nebula made a sharp turn to the left and started circling the giant grimm. Carmine noticed what the group was doing as she gave out a small smile.

"Looks like they know what they're doing." Carmine replied. She then brought up three fingers in the air before pointing to the truck Star and the others were on. As she did that three vehicles separated and pulled up beside the truck.

"Carmine's caught on to what I'm doing. Alright gang let's take this thing down!" She ordered as Star pointed her gunbreakers at it and began to open fire on the grimm. Mars began firing arrow after arrow at the beast the arrows exploding on contact but they were doing little damage to it.

Dews spear glowed a bright red as she then shot out a stream of fire dust on the monster but just like the arrows they had little effect on the monster even adding in Cardin's dust as he swung Ice dust from his mace.

The bandits that were in the vehicles fired at the monster but they had little effect on it but the grimm roared as now it was getting rather annoyed at its prey. The first thing it did was to lunge on Carmine with it's pincers but thankfully Carmine dodged it as she put on the brake and slid underneath its attack. She then whipped out her sai before tossing it in the air against it's underbelly which managed to pierce it's skin but it barely even felt it.

Carmine used her semblance to levitated her weapon back to her before pulling out her other sai with her semblance as now both floated next to her as she attack the grimm underbelly with her semblance slashing and cutting at it.

"Nothings working on it!" Mars called out as she fired another arrow at it.

"We need to try a different approach." Cardin replied seizing his attack.

Star looked at the monster trying to figure out how to defeat it as it roared again before it spewed a fireball at the group but they were wise enough to dodge it but the impact still kicked up sand. Though Star noticed something that whenever it began to spew fire an acidic gas built up in its jaw before the fireball.

"I got an idea but it's going to be crazy." Star said before putting her goggles over her eyes.

"Like what kind of crazy?" Cardin asked but he noticed Star preparing her slinger.

Star aimed her slinger at the monster making sure to get a clean shot at it.

"Star... what are you doing?" Mars questioned.

Star didn't answer but once she had her target in range she fired her slinger at the monster as it latched onto the monsters scaly back. A quick tug from the monster lifted Star off her feet and was now in the air holding onto her gunbreakers with a tight grip. She managed to land on the monsters back without issue but the monster felt her and was trying to shake her off.

Star then made her way toward the head of the monster as the others continued firing at it trying to keep it distracted.

Once she was at the front of the monster she took her gunbreakers and began bashing the monster head in inflicting damaged to it. The grimm roared as it tried to shake her off as it was able to launch her into the air. The beast opened it's jaw trying to eat her but Star managed to catch herself before getting eaten as she held her gunbreaker to make sure its' jaw doesn't bite into her using all her strength.

That was when the monster began spewing the acidic gas as it looked like it was going to spew its fireball at her. But this time Star readied her other gunbreaker and pointed it directly in its mouth.

"As a friend once said. Hope your hungry!" Star shouted and fired a fire dust into its mouth as it caused a reaction.

Instead of the fire coming out of it's mouth the fire from Stars dust caused an explosion with in its body as it roared in pain. Though it did cause Star to fall from the monsters grip. Though before she hit the ground she felt an invisible grip surround her and was gently but quickly lifted to safety onto Carmine bike.

"That's the second time I've saved you. Trying to make it a habit?" Carmine joked as Star only laughed.

The explosions within the monster continued as it continued to roar in pain but then the explosion stopped as smoke came out of the monsters mouth but it still wasn't dead from what Star just did.

"Dang this thing just won't stay down." Star replied.

"Got any other ideas in your head cause this thing look really pissed off right now." Carmine shouted as she nearly avoided a swipe from its pincers.

Star tried looking at the monster one more time and she noticed something that wasn't their before. On it's throat the explosion opened up a wound that is apparently spraying its acidic gas in the air as it tried to attack it's prey.

"That must be where it comes from. It must've damaged the jugular and its gas sack where it sprays all that stuff. One good hit their should kill it." Star thought as she checked her gunbreakers and unfortunately she was out of fire dust.

She then look towards the truck where the others were still driving around it and saw Mars still had some arrows left in her quiver.

"Get me next to them!" Star ordered and Carmine zoomed past the monster and droved right beside the truck keeping up with them.

"Star you okay? That was stupid and reckless you know." Mars scolded.

"Yeah I know but quick question? How good of a shot are you with that?" Star asked pointing toward the bow.

"Pretty good. Why?" Mars asked back.

"I need you to aim under its throat. The explosion left a gash and is leak gas from its sack in its throat. If you can hit it with a fire dust arrow it'll cause the thing to explode on the inside again and this time kill it." Star said.

"And just how am I suppose to do that? If it keeps moving I can't get a clear shot at it." Mars replied.

"I'll think of something. Just get ready to take the shot." Star said before they peeled away from the truck. Mars grumbled at this before looking back to the drivers seat.

"Stop the truck!" She ordered and immediately the truck stopped as now they waited.

"You sure Star knows what she's doing?" Cardin asked.

"Well I hope so. Otherwise it'll not be pretty for all of us." Octavia added.

"Don't worry. She'll get it done. I know she will." Mars replied.

Meanwhile Star was trying to figure out how she was going to be able to provide the shot the Mars needed against this hulking grimm. She looked around and noticed that the other bandits were trying to keep it busy and doing their best to avoid it's attacks but even she could tell that the grimm was wising up to the their tricks.

"My men can't take much of this so whatever plan you have you'd better do it." Carmine replied as Star was still think of a way to slow it down. Then Star got an idea as she tapped into her maiden powers letting its power flow through her. She closed her eyes as she summoned its power to her. Her eyes then burst open as bluesish flames surrounded her eyes as now the air suddenly felt much colder.

Star then raised up her hand in front of her and suddenly an ice field encompassed around the grimm preventing it from moving. She then thrusted her arm upward as a tower of ice launched upward hitting right under the jaw as it was then trapped in the ice leaving the jugular exposed. The monstrous grimm was struggling to break free of the ice but it held firm.

Mars seeing it trapped and where she was supposed to hit prepared her sword bow and drew an arrow from the quiver as in the arrowhead is a red dust crystal meant for fire. Mars set it on the bow line and drew it back aiming directly at the spot to hit and then released it as the arrow flew through the air. And like what Star predicted it hit its mark. The moment the arrow made contact with the jugular the fire dust ignited causing it to explode within the monster but this time with a lethal effect. It was able to free it's jaw from the icy prison but it was too late as the explosion inside the itself was more than enough to kill it as it began toppling down hitting the rough sand with a loud thud.

The Serpantara was defeated as it was already starting to dissolve into ashes.

She could hear the other bandits cheer in victory along with the others. Carmine simply smiled as she was able to bear witness to the might of the maiden powers.

"Alright everyone let's not celebrate just yet. We still got a ways to go. We'll settle at Corquina and then make a dash toward the capital in the morning." Carmine ordered.

"After an experience like that I think everyone deserves a break." Star said as they decided to head out and toward Corquina yet again to take a rest.

=RWBY=

May, Melanie, and Vanessa left the academy to find some food before they decide to find that particular cave that could be hold Trifas family hostage. They decided on the burger place that opened during the day to feed its many customers. After placing their order the three of them waited until their waiter came back as they only settled with drinks for the time being.

Though Melanie decided to start up a conversation "So... after tomorrow we'll only have a day left right. That's when she'll start the attack." Melanie replied.

"Yeah but we can prevent that and hopefully the others will be back with Star and Carmine. The more of us there are the greater the chance we can stop all this and Shade Academy will be spared from the flames." May answered taking a sip of her drink.

Though Vanessa looked May over though more importantly at her left eye that she keeps covered with her beanie which did make her curious about it.

"May. If it's alright if I could ask you something? During our time when we went to the property the first time you were able to spot out multiple targets and pinpoint their exactly location. I know that you are a sniper but even snipers aren't that précises." Vanessa asked.

May simply chuckled at that response "Well... I guess I could show you. And probably answer another one of your question of how I couldn't miss a target." May said as she straightened her beanie showing her left eye but to Vanessa it seemed like a normal eye.

"Your... left eye? I don't quite understand." Vanessa added confused by what she was meaning.

May then blinked a few times with her left eye as her iris of that eye changed to one of a target scope. This completely surprised Vanessa but it also astounded her as well.

"Yeah I usually get that kind of reaction. That's kind of that reason I never miss a shot and given my semblance I can always make sure I can get far away before I take a shot." May replied.

"What other functions does it use?" Vanessa asked.

"Oh just infrared, nigh vision, and can even scans a persons aura levels so that way I can keep track of everyone. Though the downside is that it really throws me off whenever I try to walk so I usually just hide it under this so I can walk normally." May replied.

"So was it an accident that caused you your eye or was it something else entirely?" Vanessa questioned.

"It was a birth defect actually. A very rare defect that effects the eyes when the baby is in the womb. When I was old enough my parents spent lien for a special surgery for this eye. But ever since I tried walking with both eyes it throws me off like I said." May replied.

"Guess you getting used to having one eye was actually a good thing but having two threw off your balance so you only bring it out during battles and such. Quite clever." Vanessa praised.

"Yeah I guess you can say that. Though what are we going to do about getting Trifas family back. That's the main thing right." May replied.

"Yeah and even with the three of us it won't be easy." Melanie added.

"We're only doing recon. See if their is any weaknesses that we can exploit later. That is all we're doing." Vanessa explained.

A few minutes later their lunch came by and the three ate themselves a hardy meal for what they are planning for later. After having their lunch the three decided it was time to head out and check out the cave as they headed where the cave was and hopefully Vanessa was right at where Trifas family is too not even knowing the troubles ahead.

It took some time but after a near hour long walk the three finally arrived just about thirty feet away from the cave just so that they weren't seen. They noticed that there was a lot more men than there should be and all of them were armed.

"Anything you can see May?" Vanessa asked. May took off her beanie and used her prosthetic eye to get a good look around the place. She mainly looked toward the cave and noticed a cage with Trifas family and they looked alright for the moment. The husband looked worse for wear but he was alive and so were the children.

"Yeah. The kids look fine with only minimal injuries. Husband looks like he taken most of the blows for the kids. A few cuts and bruises. Though this is a lot of men for just three people." May replied as she put her beanie back on.

Vanessa looked around the place but their was something that was nagging at her that didn't feel right to her. The large amount of men was something that set her off. What also gave it away was that the entry points were all covered as if they were expecting something... or someone. That was when Vanessa realized it and acted upon it.

"This doesn't feel right." Vanessa replied.

"What do you mean?" Melanie asked.

"Don't you find it strange that this many men are here just for three people. Also all the entry points are covered so we can't even think about getting close." Vanessa added.

"So what do we do now?" May questioned.

"Let's fall back for now. We'll come up with something later." Vanessa replied as they decided to leave the area before they get spotted.

Though as they retreated one of the men noticed that they were leaving and decided to call it in the boss as he took out his scroll.

"Yes sir it seemed they just left. How would you like us to proceed?" The guard asked. He paused for a few seconds before nodding his head.

"Understood. We'll leave everything to you." The guard replied before disconnecting his scroll.

The only thing they could do was wait for the boss to take care of the little pests that have been bugging their entire plan and this time they wouldn't fail as there goal of destroying the academy in the capital and attracting grimm was just the icing on the cake. One way or another the academy will fall to the White Fang.

F3: And that is chapter 15 complete. What kind of plan does the White Fang have for our group of heroes. As per usual let me know what you all think by leaving a comment. Also make sure to follow or favorite for future updates. With that said this is Fireuser3 and I'm out.
