The sound of that clock ticking.. the one next to her.. tick, tock, Carla couldn't handle that suspense! Then suddenly.. the alarm went off.. time for work, time to carry on with another's day schedule.

Her phone rang, a buzz of it on her bedside table.. she turned to look before answering.

"Hi.." she said, her voice was low, half asleep mixed with hurt.

"Hey.. listen I'm sorry about last night, walking off like that" Kyle said, regretting those actions of his last night.

"Mm.. no, I'm sorry he shouldn't have come after you all like that"

"Can we talk.. in person, I can come over in an hour" he replied, quickly asking her for the confirmation.

She loved feeling like she had a choice, like she could decide.. after her history who could blame her but he doesn't know what's happened or anything about her.

"I mean.. i'm meant to be at work but I guess Nick can hold the fort.." she replied with a cheeky grin on her face, he couldn't see her but he knew by the tone of her voice.

"Ok.. I won't be long, I promise" he smiled before hanging up.

A huge smile laid across Carla's face as she fiddled with her nails along her teeth before getting up and flipping through her several outfits in the variety of her own wardrobe.

She couldn't help but look at the clothes that laid at the end of the rail.. black tops.. thick white jumper, a long green coat.. a leather jacket.. yes that's right, Peter's clothes, she knew she had to get rid.

Taking off each piece of his.. off their coat hangers and folding them up into a pile, each onto the bed, stacking up.

Once she had finished she picked them up.. walking over to her chest of drawers and placing them into an empty one, looking to her wardrobe there was now space for the next man to fall head over heels for her.

Just at that moment the knock on the door as Carla rushed downstairs.. opening the door to see Kyle stood there, a huge bright smile on his face as she pulled him in for a kiss.

A kick shut of the door as their lips motioned before pulling away.

"Hey.." he said, tucking her hair behind her ear as she looked up to him, he was a fair bit taller than her but she always preferred to have a slightly taller man.

"Sorry.. I haven't made the effort to get changed I still look a mess and I need to get a shower" she groaned, slightly in disgust of how she hadn't been ready.

"Hey.. don't worry your still beautiful" he ran his fingers through hers and kissed her as she grinned and kissed him back.

"This feels.. weird" she slightly laughed, still looking up at him.

"How come?" He ran his hands round her hips and carefully under her top.

"Well you're just this bloke I randomly met in a bar and now look at you.. turns out you were just right for me" she kissed him again, her hands running round his hips.

"Fate works in mysterious ways" he smiled, before removing his hands to take his jacket off.

"It really does.." she smiled back to him.

"Go on.. get get your shower I'll get the kettle on" he walked off into the kitchen as she watched him walk.. she couldn't help but have a massive smile, she felt happy.

Walking out of the bathroom, a rub of her thick brunette hair with the towel, dressed in a black top, with her black leggings, opting to wear a green thin cardigan over the top.

Kyle slid her cup of tea over, leaning on the side to drink his as she thanked him still attempting to dry her hair.

A toss of the towel to the sofa as she walked over to him, her arms wrapping round his neck as she ran her fingers through the ends of his back hair.

He caressed his arms around her and pulled her in to his chest, their eyes locking before she walked over to the sofa with her cuppa, sitting down.

He walked after her, sitting next to her, placing his mug on the coffee table and running his arm behind her.

She placed her mug down too, her head resting onto Kyle's chest as he ran his fingers up and down her back to gently relax her.. these are moments she wished she had with Peter.. moment she had missed.

Meanwhile over in No.1 Peter was having words with his father, top of his voice.

"I didn't cause any harm to anybody else!" He yelled.

"Well you didn't need to go and punch an innocent man on a date he was with Carla!" Ken piped back, defending Carla.

"She was having a drink with him!" Peter said with frustration.

"I know you still love Carla but you pushed her away, Peter! You chose not to forgive her! So don't take it out on anybody else when it is down to you and her to fix the situation" Ken answered, giving his son some hard cold truths.

"I don't have to listen to this" Peter scoffed, his eyes moving to the side as he headed off back to his room.

He knew his dad was right tho, if he wanted Carla with him again.. he had to speak to her and sort this.

"So what did you do?" Carla asked, her mind genuinely interested in the story Kyle was telling her.

"Well we had to make a run for it obviously" he looked to her and laughed, his fingers still running up and down her back as she sat there engaged in his life story.

"And nobody knows it was you?" She laughed, her whole face lit up when she laughed causing Kyle to smile the biggest smile she'd ever seen at the sight of her.

She laid her head down on his lap, her body laid out across the sofa as she took his hand, bringing it down to fiddle with the rings he had on.
