A Different Purpose

A/N: I know it's been far too long since I've updated anything. Life has been full of ups and downs. After playing through some of Security Breach I've found myself back into the FNAF fandom. I at least want to see this through and perhaps find a true conclusion for the Toy's Will series. Everyone belongs to Scott Cawthon.

If a peaceful night is what Bon was hoping for, he was receiving the exact opposite. Every time he closed his eyes nightmares would plague him. From the tragedies of the past to the most recent losses he found himself unable to close his eyes. Shooting up from his bed he noticed he appeared to be drenched in sweat. Shaking his head, he looked around his room trying to regain his composure. Looking towards his nightstand with shaking hands he reached for a music box and wound it, listening as it started to play, "Ninety years without slumbering, tick tick tick tick. His life seconds numbering, tick tick tick tick, it stopped short, never to go again when the old man died."

Finding comfort with the tune decided to try and close his eyes and try to sleep once more. His dreams started to drift back towards his old life, the friends and family he had made along the way. His dreams kept coming back to Mari though. The puppet had always been an enigma there was no debate there. Though now Bon understood what had given the puppet the powers that it had. The undying will of a child who wished to protect others so that no one else shared her fate. A wish that Bon and the others had tried to fulfill to the best of their ability, and yet they felt they had failed. It was the girl who gave those tormented children a new life. Placing their crying souls inside the restored models, leaving both to suffer from the child's undying anger. Something Bon believed the puppet and it's spirit felt horrible for. The toy model sat up once more as another nightmare took hold. He saw them, the lingering evil that yet tainted the legacy his family built.

'I always come back' that familiar voice echoed in his head.

It was only 3 A.M. yet the former rabbit was now wide awake once more. Feeling he couldn't stay in his apartment he decided to leave for what truly felt like home. Bon shook his head and walked into the pizzeria he would be running, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. It had a better ring than Fredy Fazbear's Pizzeria that much he would have to admit. Walking into the main lobby he noticed that the bots seemed to be up and moving. Barely dodging a thrown chair from Pigpatch he shook his head, "Really? If you try pulling that off during performances, we're going to have a problem."

"Hmph what are you doing here?" the pig animatronic demanded.

Bon shrugged, "Obviously I missed your joyful personality."

"I sense sarcasm" Nedd chuckled.

Happy jumped down from the stage, "You came back!"

"Naturally" Bon offered a faint smile, "Don't mind me I'll be in the office working. I can't sleep might as well get more things set up here."

Orville nodded, "We will stay out of your way."

"Hmm" Mr. Hippo looked at the bot, "What has you so spooked?"

Bon walked into the office and poked his head out of the door, "They're called nightmares."

"You're here early!" Helpy chimed as he walked towards Bon.

Bon nodded, "Can't sleep…actually I can't remember the last time I really slept. Anyways what can I do while I wait for daylight?"

"Well, there's the mountains of paperwork" Helpy pointed to the desk, "But more importantly I think I heard something out back. Maybe we should check the back?"

Bon felt his skin crawl and nodded as he grabbed a flashlight and headed for the back of the building, "Alright let's see what's out-"

Bon's light fell upon a twisted heap of wires that contained numerous eyes and what appeared to be a molten Funtime Freddy mask. His eyes widened as he realized what was before him. He had heard the rumors of the what the true purpose of the Funtime models were. Bots designed for the efficient slaughter of innocent children. He remembered the ones from when he helped rescue a rival animatronic mascot. They had failed to achieve the results Afton wanted; they were tossed away like broken toys. Feeling all the eyes focus on him he gritted his teeth as he pulled the mutilated mess of an animatronic inside and threw it into a secure room that had a tape player, light, and checklist. Bon locked the door and then turned to the animatronic, "You can play dumb and mute all you want but I'm aware of what you are."

There was nothing but silence.

Bon sighed and looked over his contract and then to the animatronic, "I guess I might as well follow the rules…play audio ques and look for animatronic reactions. If in danger use a controlled shock to reset the animatronic in a non-hostile setting. A controlled shock…that's more twisted than I would have imagined…then again I was taken out by a mallet to the head so what do I know?"

"Shhh he can hear us!" a voice whispered.

Another one snapped back, "I am well aware!"

"Maybe they can help!" a softer one spoke.

A fourth one spoke, "He's looking right at us!"

Bon sat down from the table and looked at the mess of an animatronic, "You're right I can hear you, all of you. Now then we can either do this by the rules are you can be honest with me."

"I don't know what you're talking about!" the animatronic spat.

Bon sighed, "You're what's left of the Funtime models. I met your failed counterparts ages ago. Funtime Freddy, Funtime Foxy, Ballora, Bab-"

"Don't you dare mention her name!" the animatronic snapped, "We cast her out! She was hurting us…hurting all of us!"

"Hey calm down!" Bon found himself thrown against the wall and looked at the deformed animatronic, "I am not your enemy!"

"Lies!" Molten Freddy screamed.

Bon sighed, "I really didn't want to have to do this, but you forced my hand."

Molten Freddy watched as the human he had pinned seemed to have vanished. He watched as a strange entity crawled out from the wall. Their body a shadowy mist, their eyes pierced their very being with a sense of dread and fear, "Who are you!? Where's the human!?"

"There's no human here" the shadow replied and pushed the animatronic back before retaking their form, "Now then if you would just settle down!"

"What are you!?" the twisted bot demanded.

Bon sighed and shook his head recalling what he had read, "There is going to be a party in a few days…I want only the best entertainment to be there. Can I count on you, Freddy?"

"A p-p-party? I'll try not to disappoint!" Freddy spoke seeming to perk up some.

Bon nodded, "Thank you Freddy, I'll be counting on you."

With those parting words Bon left the room after securing it and leaned against the wall shaking. He didn't just see the twisted animatronics but the souls that were trapped inside. He only saw four though, and if Baby had been thrown from them, he could only imagine how many more bodies were tied to Afton's work. Was this why he had been called? Why was he drawn to this place like a moth to a flame? Holding his head, he tried to keep himself calm and composed as the gravity of the situation finally landed on him. He wanted his family, his friends, his brother. He was so lost in his thoughts he failed to realize that Happy had come to check on him. The green frog knelt down and tried to talk to the shaking humanoid, "Umm.."

"Huh!?" Bon snapped to and realized Happy was in front of him, "Oh Happy you're off the stage…"

Happy nodded, "We were starting to get worried. We heard yelling and strange noises. What happened in that room?"

Bon shook his head, "N-Nothing that you guys need to worry about. Just some added stuff I need to take care of…it's odd that it was already back there and we're not even scheduled to open yet…unless we're really that ahead of schedule."

"Believe it or not we are!" Happy grinned.

Bon seemed surprised, "Then it seems that things are going however they want. Tell me Happy who made you?"

"Who made me?" Happy asked pointing to herself, "I don't know…I just know their name was Henry but that's all I have to go by. It's what all of us have to go by."

Bon sighed, "He made us too…my model line as well as the ones we called the restored. Though now we're all scattered to the winds. We've taken on lives of our own and live amongst humans without them even realizing. We wanted to escape the bloody past of our lines but it seems I'm here yet again to tie up the loose ends."

"Loose ends?" Happy asked helping Bon to his feet.

Bon felt his skin crawl at the thought of the monster he remembered, "The man responsible for all of this, William Afton. He's like a cockroach, almost impossible to kill and be rid of. I fear that he's still out there causing harm to some innocent soul. It seems no matter what I do that bastard finds a way to survive."

"Maybe someone else is supposed to stop him?" Happy asked, "Ah I should get back my power is running low! See you later!"

Bon watched Happy run off and returned to his office and started to write down a report of what happened. He still couldn't shake off the bad feeling and looked to the phone that sat on his desk. Picking it up he felt a sense of relief hearing the familiar sounds of a landline. Without much thought he started to dial a familiar number and listened as the phone rang. He didn't want to be alone right now, but he knew what he really wanted wasn't possible. He continued to write out his report as the phone continued to ring. Eventually a groggy voice picked up, "Hello?"

"I'm sorry to wake you up" Bon spoke trying to mask his uneasiness.

Chica seemed alert to Bon's voice, "Bon? Oh, sweetie what's wrong? You sound upset."

"Have you ever wondered if you're doomed to repeat the same hell time and time again? That no matter what you do you can't change fate?" Bon asked noticing that his shaking was getting worse.

Chica sounded worried, "Bon talk to me, what's going on? Fred told us that you had become a franchisee for the new Fazbear venture."

"This place isn't as it seems" Bon admitted shivering at recalling the molten animatronic he delt with, "Something else is going on here…if something happens to me-"

"Nothing will happen" Chica tried to soothe his nerves, "Just hold on one second someone wants to talk to you."

Bon listened on his end as Chica handed the phone to someone else, "Hello?"

"Your voice it sounds so familiar to me" a voice Bon longed to hear once more spoke, "Freddy had been trying to jog my memories. Sometimes I almost remember who-what I am."

Bon felt his eyes water, "Do…do you remember…me?"

Before Bonnie could reply to Bon the power to the building cut out and the line went dead. Bon looked at the phone as a single tear streamed down his cheek. The phone rang again, and he picked it up hoping it was his friends calling back. However, instead a gruff voice was on the other end, "Any other attempt to reach them will result in your termination."

"I can't even talk to my own family!?" Bon demanded.

The man remained unmoved, "I am already aware of the first animatronic that you salvaged. Though you went against protocol the animatronic is still secure and within our control. I expect that next time you will follow the protocols correctly."

"What are you really after?" Bon tried to keep his calm composure.

The man's voice carried a hint of sadness, "The same thing you are after, closure. Tomorrow will be your first day of operation. I have high expectations of you. End of call."

Bon set the phone down and laid his head down on the desk, "Closure…. could you be who I think you are?"

As Bon prepared to start his day as the manager of his own pizza place, he wasn't aware of the panic consuming the rest of his family. After the call had been cut Chica and Freddy immediately reached out to everyone. They had all agreed that they needed to get to the location as quickly as possible, fearing for Bon's safety. As soon as Chica placed the call to everyone else plans were being made to reach one another. One of their own was possibly in danger once more. That was only on reason to gather once more. It had been three years since everyone last saw one another. Deep down they had hoped it would have been for better circumstances. Among the chaos Bonnie looked at the phone in his hand and felt a sense of panic. His eyes widened as he started to recall more of his past. Holding his head, he looked towards Freddy who had come to check on him, "Freddy…. where is….He?"

"Where is who, Bonnie?" Freddy asked feeling fear and concern as those magenta eyes seemed to contain an old spark of life, "Bonnie?"

Bonnie looked to Freddy, "Where is my brother?"

As Freddy filled Bonnie in relieved that perhaps his memory had finally come back Bon was watching the people around him. Just as he had hoped the bots, he selected had proven to be quite popular. Orville performed magic shows while using the kids as willing assistants. If it were a dangerous trick, he would use Mr. Hippo. Ah the Hippo, he was a rather interesting character in his own right. He would tell various stories that seemed to make absolutely no sense. Yet it kept the kids entertained well enough. Pigpatch and Nedd bear had a routine where they would trade low handed blows to one another. Yet, Happy seemed to be quiet on the stage. Bon took notes and figured he would try and hep her build up her confidence. Walking up to the stage he looked to Happy, "What's wrong?"

"I'm nervous….what if they don't like me?" Happy asked quietly.

Bon shook his head, "They will love you."

"Are you sure?" the frog asked nervously.

Bon nodded, "You just need to believe in yourself. Any particular song you have in mind?"

"M-Maybe one" the frog looked worried, "W-Where are you going?"

Bon hurried to his office and looked through the storage closet attached to it, "Of course they would have stuff for the rockstar models."

"What are you doing with that!?" Helpy asked as he watched Bon pull out a guitar.

Bon looked to the small bear, "Helping build someone's confidence is all…and well I do miss the old days of playing with friends."

The small bear watched as the humanoid animatronic joined the group on stage. He watched as Happy blew everyone away with her singing voice. For the rest of the day everyone enjoyed their day. Bon knew though that soon he would have to go to the true office and take care of the end of day tasks. However, for the time being he enjoyed what little time he had on the stage and felt relief as Happy continued to sing and dance without him being there. Before he left for the office Happy grabbed his shoulder, "Thank you!"

"Ah I didn't do much" Bon smiled and rubbed the back of his head, "You just needed a little push."

Pigpatch nodded, "Didn't know you could sing like that."

"We should think of some duets or trios even" Nedd thought, "Oh where are you going?"

Bon shrugged, "Have some end of day work to take care of. You guys are free to roam around since the place is closed for the day. I'll check on everyone once more before I leave."

"You got it boss" Pigpatch looked around, "Wonder if that little girl found her missing dolly."

Orville tapped his jaw, "Maybe we can look in the ball pit where she lost it."

"Sounds like a plan to me!" Happy grinned and watched Bon leave, "Guys I think I have a bug."

Nedd looked worried, "What kind of bug?"

"The love bug" Happy gave a sigh as she watched Bon slip into the office, "Isn't he dreamy?"

The others looked amongst themselves confused and went about searching the ball pit for the lost doll. Meanwhile Bon climbed into the true office and watched as Helpy sat on top of the monitor. The bot could tell he was not alone in this sublevel of the building. Looking at the monitor he had a wry smile as he placed the audio lure on the furthest room away from where he was. Looking at Helpy the small bear realized that the humanized rabbit was quickly catching on to what this place was used for. Bon gave a faint sigh and looked around, "Oh Jeremy if you were here you'd probably find this funny and ironic…"

"Who's Jeremy?" Helpy asked.

Bon closed his eyes and opened them, a light glow emitted from his green eyes, "He was a dear friend and member of our family…If he could fend off so many of us I shouldn't have too hard of a time."

Helpy looked around, "Are you insane!? If you get caught you'll-"

"Shhh" Bon hushed and listened with a faint smile, "Come little children I'll show you the way."

-End.
