The Joys of Pizza Management
A/N: Look at me go! I haven't had a writing streak like this since I started the first part of the series. Hard to believe it's been that long. I own no one they all belong to Scott Cawthon.
Bon sighed as he looked at the lawsuit that was placed before him, "Seriously we're getting sued because someone had…let me check my notes…FUN!?"
"Humans are strange like that" Helpy shrugged, "Fortunately for you I'm allowed to handle all legal dealings with the franchise and building!"
Bon blinked, "Wait you're allowed to handle any and all legal affairs?"
"You better believe it!" Helpy grinned, "Here I can even show you!"
Bon watched as Helpy pulled out a certificate from his casing, "High honors from the Fazbear legal department…somedays I really do wonder about this company…"
"You're not the only one!" Helpy took the paper back from Bon, "Leave this to me! I'll either get it settled or thrown out no problem! Now if you would please look over the stuff I pointed out that could help!"
"Yeah yeah" Bon took the catalogues and went back out into the main room, "Ugh…"
Happy tilted her head, "Long night?"
"You could say that" Bon muttered and noticed none of the attractions had been cleaned, "I can see the staff aren't doing as I asked. Hey, could you guys give me a hand?"
"Of course!" Happy jumped off the stage, "What do you need?"
Bon pulled his hair back into a low ponytail, "Some cleaning supplies out of the closet, please!"
"I'll help as well" Orville got down from his stage, "I'm not as spry as I once was but I'll do what I can to help."
nodded, "We're all in a bit of a rough shape."
"Ah I can probably help there" Bon had a soft smile and noticed that no one had arrived yet, "I have a lot of practice back from the old locations. Just tell me what ails you."
Orville seemed surprised, "You could work on us?"
"It's my job to take care of you guys, not just as the owner of this place, but as a fellow bot" Bon replied, "My brother had a knack for fixing anything that ended up on his work bench. I'd like to hope that maybe I'm just as competent."
"I got cleaning supplies!" Happy came back into the room.
Bon took the supplies and started to clean off the tables, "Thank you Happy."
"New supplies are here!" called as someone dropped a few boxes off, "Here I'll go get it."
Bon finished cleaning one table, "Thank you! Could you help set tables?"
"Of course," Mr. Hippo brought the boxes in and found Orville and Nedd Bear helping him, "You certainly work fast."
Bon chuckled some as he worked on cleaning the duck pond, "I'm so used to having to run all over the place. Sure, there were a lot of us at my place, but we were all busy no matter what."
"Do you miss it?" Pigpatch asked coming down from the stage.
Bon thought for a moment, "At times, yeah I think I really do. I miss the chaos, the laughter of children, being able to perform on stage. Ah but enough about me let's get you guys tuned up!"
From the ground office Helpy watched as Bon started tuning up the other bots. Where that tool kit came from, he wasn't sure. The small bot was starting to realize that the bot had truly good intentions. He watched as Bon delicately removed parts of Orville's suit and started to work on the endoskeleton. All the while the two seemed to be talking about something. Helpy wasn't quite sure what it was about, but Orville's features seemed to lighten up to a degree. Perhaps they were talking about magic shows? Orville looked down at his hand and seemed pleased that his hand was functioning again. Next up was Pigpatch who was in a rough spot. Their banjo was out of tune, and their leg joint was going bad. Yet, despite the rough introduction Bon was friendly and gentle. The two seemed to be talking about something and Helpy noticed that the pig left in good humor. Nedd Bear was up next, though Helpy wasn't quite sure what was wrong with him. He watched as Bon took off the animatronics head and started to work on something. When the head was replaced Nedd's hat was finally sitting on his head properly.
"Mr. Hippo, Happy do you either of you need anything?" Bon asked wiping oil away from his forehead.
shook his head, "I'm doing just fine."
"I think I'm okay!" Happy perked up, "I do have a question though! You said you miss performing with your friends. Why don't you join us on the stage again today? Did you used to sing in your old place too?"
Bon was working on putting away a small tool set, "I was a back up singer alongside my brother. The Freddy's and Chica's were the real vocal stars."
"Doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to sing either" Mr. Hippo spoke.
Bon chuckled some, "Reminds me of some old songs I used to sing on my own. Bittersweet memories if I had to call them anything. Ah the time we should be opening soon. Everyone ready for another day?"
"You got it boss" Pigpatch strummed their banjo, "Sounds as pretty as can be."
Bon sighed and unlocked the door as staff came in, "Let the day begin. Everyone thank you for the first successful day of this building's history. We turned a profit and if we can continue this by the end of the month, I promise there will be a bonus to your paychecks."
"R-Really!?" one staff member asked.
Bon nodded, "All of you are expected to cover a lot of ground. From working in the kitchen to attending the attractions. When this day is over, I'd like to sit down with everyone and get feedback of what you want to see improved."
"Y-You're really not like some of the others" another staff member spoke, "As I'm sure you're aware we have minors who work here after work. How do you plan to accommodate them?"
Bon thought for a moment, "I'll talk with each one of them and make sure their schedules are flexible. The same applies to all part- and full-time employees. I know this industry can be hard and thankless. However, know that I appreciate you coming in and putting on a smile for the children. I will make sure that everyone is taken care of."
"Thanks, Mr?" another employee asked.
Bon thought for a moment, "Please just call me Bon."
"Bon? Like BonBon?" an employee asked.
Bon nodded, "It's a nickname my family used a lot. And please don't address me as Mister. Just Bon is fine with me. If you need any help here, please don't hesitate to come get me from the office. If I'm not there just holler and I'll make my way onto the floor."
"Understood" a middle-aged man approached the young bot, "My name is Frederick. I used to work at another franchise. I'm your assistant manager."
Bon nodded and shook his hand, "Nice to meet you, Frederick. It's nice to see a veteran of the franchise here to help everyone else out."
The bots watched carefully as Bon walked onto the stage and looked to the staff of the building, "Alright we have four birthday parties coming in today. The names and food requests are written on the white board in the kitchen. Frederick I am leaving you in charge of human operations." Bon then turned to the bots, "I'm leaving the fun and entertainment to you guys. I know you'll do a great job just like yesterday."
With everything that needed to be said done Bon made his way towards the office with the catalogues Helpy had given him earlier in the morning. Climbing up into his true office he looked through the catalogues as he heard Molten Freddy move around the vents. Rolling his eyes, he phased into his shadow form as the twisted animatronic phased right through him. The bear growled and left to the other side of the building calling the former rabbit no fun as Bon phased back to his body, "I told you Freddy the party will be soon enough!"
"N-n-not fair!" Freddy called from one of the vents.
Bon sighed and looked at the upgrade options for equipment upgrades, "Let's see faster internet and a printer would be nice…but only enough for one…"
"Gah!" Helpy panicked as Molten Freddy poked his head into the office again, "Bon!"
Bon looked at Molten Freddy, "What do I need to give you to keep yourself entertained up here?"
"You could die!" Freddy screamed and tried to attack Bon without any luck.
Bon shook his head and continued to order supplies needed for the restaurant that was down below him, "Believe me if I could I'm pretty sure I would have by now."
"C-C-Come on…j-j-join us….as o-o-one big ha-a-a-appy family" Molten Freddy tried to entice the former rabbit.
Bon finished his last order and looked to the bearlike mess, "You already have a Bonnie in there."
"B-But n-n-no C-Chica…s-she wa-a-as never found" Molten Freddy spoke.
Bon felt his circuits run cold, "So there's a funtime model out there that no one is aware of…. alright Freddy I'll bite how many bodies?"
"N-N-Not sure" Freddy spoke his head leaning into the office again, "B-But i-if you t-thought w-we were dangerous…"
Bon looked at Helpy, "We need to find that funtime model!"
"I couldn't agree more! There is one more catalog, but we need more money to even consider looking through it yet!" Helpy edged away from his spot on the terminal monitor as Molten Freddy got too close for comfort.
Bon nodded and poked Molten Freddy's nose amused it made that honking noise, "Out!"
"Hmph fine!" the bear slinked away, "At least bring me a toy or something to play with!"
Helpy climbed into Bon's arms as the exited the office once more, "If I were you, I'd upgrade the internet first! That place scares me!"
"You don't have to come up with me you know" Bon spoke and set the bear down on his desk.
Helpy shook his head, "You don't have to be up there alone though! I don't know how you do it!"
"It's homey in a way" Bon mused and sat down at his desk, "Okay show me what you think we can use to make this place better."
For the next few hours Bon and Helpy went through the catalogs and ordered a few new items. An upgraded ballpit, a strange robot called candy cadet, new party hats plates and napkins. Bon even decided to upgrade the stages that the animatronics sat on. Looking through another catalog he noticed a few arcade games, "Do we have enough in the budget for these?"
"Hmm?" Helpy walked over and nodded, "They look really steeply discounted though! Don't you remember what that video said when you agreed to this!?"
Bon nodded, "That there could be something lurking inside, something that has been trying to get in…maybe we'll pass on those. It's one thing if I find them out back, it's another if they could cause harm to the patrons. I almost wonder if anyone will show tonight."
"Isn't trying to avoid being killed by one bad enough!?" Helpy asked and noticed someone was walking into the office, "I mean after all that game level is really intense!"
The employee that walked in looked rather spooked, "I-I hate to bother you but we have an issue in one of the restrooms."
"Oh?" Bon got up rather curious as to what was going on.
"We keep hearing a deep laugh in the woman's restroom, it sounds like a male…but whenever we go inside to check it out there's no one there" The employee admitted.
Bon tapped his chin, "A deep laugh huh? I'll look into it. Could just be someone's placed a motion activated device or something to spook the patrons. Kids these days you know how they enjoy their tricks."
"Hadn't thought of that" the employee shook their head and crossed their arms, "We'd appreciate it if you'd look though."
Bon nodded, "Of course. I'll go check it out right now. Until then if any female patrons need to use the restroom make sure that the staff one is accessible."
"Understood!" the employee was surprised at how calm the manager was, "You'd think it wasn't his first rodeo or something."
Meanwhile Bon made his way into the woman's restroom and could hear the deep laughing as well. Closing his eyes, he shut the lights off and felt the door slam shut behind him. Opening his eyes he saw two glowing orbs and knew that for once he wasn't alone with company he wasn't sure he could trust. With a faint smile he leaned against one of the stalls, "Freddy…I was wondering when you would be able to find me…"
"Bon you look well" Freddy spoke and kept to his shadow form, "You have our entire family in a panic I hope you know!"
"I wanted to reach out" Bon spoke and could feel that cold glare, "But my employer, the one pulling all the strings has forbidden me from reaching out. One more phone call to any of you and I'd be terminated."
Freddy sighed, "Would that be such a bad thing?"
Bon nodded, "Afton's work, the Funtime models…I have all of them here but two. I don't even know how much blood is on their hands. Whoever lured me here, they have a plan and I intend to see it through!"
"We had feared as much" Freddy mused and messed with Bon's hair, "Bonnie will be relieved to know you're okay though. We don't know how it happened if it was by sheer dumb luck or some other reason but his memories are back, for the most part."
"For the most part?" Bon asked feeling cautiously optimistic.
Freddy nodded, "He doesn't remember much about that trip the two of you took together. He just remembers waking up one day and you were gone. He doesn't remember anything about the past three years either…. getting him up to speed hasn't been easy."
"For his memories to return though" Bon looked troubled, "You haven't told him that I'm doing this have you?"
Freddy rubbed the back of his head, "I have not…Chica however…..said that you had taken on a franchise on the other side of the country. After your call though everyone is making a mad dash to get here. Hopefully we will all be here by Saturday."
"Saturday…that's right there is supposed to be a big party here Saturday" Bon felt a pang in his chest, "Freddy can you do something for me? Can Spike and Wrench make maybe five more bodies?"
Freddy sighed, "That shouldn't be a problem at all. You want to save them, don't you?"
"If what I fear is to come, they don't deserve to suffer either" Bon spoke, "Also did one of you leave plushies in my apartment last night?"
"No" Freddy looked surprised, "Plushies?"
Bon nodded, "One of Mari, Goldy and one I've never seen before."
"Curious…" Freddy shook his head, "I'll look into it as I am able. With Bonnie up and back to his old self hopefully I can make sense of all of this. Please be careful Bon…we can't afford to lose you again."
Bon sighed slightly, "I'll do the best I can Freddy. Please let everyone know I miss them."
"Of course," Freddy spoke and laughed again fading away and leaving a small motion activated device behind.
Bon picked up the device and walked out into the room and showed the device to the staff, "It was as I thought. Someone rigged a motion activated speaker in the bathroom. I find it rather funny they chose Freddy. I heard in the old original location he would often hide in the restrooms."
"I'm just glad it was nothing serious!" Frederick sighed, "The lights went out though! Ugh we'll have to replace all these bulbs."
Bon dreaded the idea of going back to his true office, "Shouldn't take too long though. I'll order more bulbs later. Oh, while I'm thinking about it there should be a truck coming to deliver a few new things for the main party room."
"Understood" Frederick smiled, "You know for someone who looks so young you're certainly experienced with the managerial side of running a business."
Bon rubbed the back of his head, "Someone who was quite close to me was a manager and passed on quite a bit of knowledge. What's the time right now? Ah we've still got a couple of hours to go."
As the day marched on Bon kept to his word and at the end of the day thanked the employees once more. For a good half hour, he listened to concerns and complaints. The bot nodded and took their concerns to heart and promised he would work on making things better. He was horrified to know that workers who were there for more than 8 hours weren't getting breaks. Looking to Helpy the bot nodded indicating that what was just said was a violation of numerous labor laws. There were also concerns over the food that was being offered to guests. Bon understood there once he saw what was being offered to the patrons. He promised them he would reach out to cooperate and try to work on a better solution. Towards the end he watched everyone leave the building. Once he was certain everyone had left he turned to Helpy, "Let's go check the back alley shall we?"
"I'm scared that there will actually be something there" Helpy admitted.
Bon nodded, "You and I both…we have one here, but I know there will be more."
"Before we do that why don't we unload the stuff that was dropped off?" Helpy was anxious.
Bon wouldn't admit it, but he was just as anxious, "It's not like I need sleep anyways."
"We'll help too!" Nedd Bear spoke as the bots came off the stage, "Least we can do."
Bon nodded, "I appreciate the help everyone. Does anyone need any repairs or tune ups after today?"
"We're all good" Nedd spoke and noticed as a few crates were brought in, "So what was that whole ordeal with the restroom earlier?"
Bon sighed as he started to open the one crate revealing a new arcade game, "Family…"
"Family?" Orville asked as the new game was placed around the floor, "Don't leave us hanging!"
Happy gasped, "We have a new ball pit! Oh what is this thing!? Candy cadet? Guys! Guys he gives out candy!"
"Would you like to hear a story?" the bot started to stir.
Mr. Hippo nodded, "Why we would be delighted!"
"You'll meet them soon enough" Bon spoke in a hushed tone as he made his way towards the back of the building. He knew that the bots would be fine to play with the new items that were brought into the pizzeria.
Opening the door Bon turned on his flashlight and felt his circuits run cold. In the back alley was an all too familiar demented looking rabbit. Feeling the shadow within him start to stir Bon realized that things were now just starting to get interesting. As he carefully looked over the animatronic two different entities watched from the shadows. One was pleased to see that all his careful planning was paying off. He was still surprised to find that a toy model of all things had heeded his call. They were not who they had expected, but perhaps they were more ideal. He had been caught up to speed about everything the rabbit had endured. Perhaps they would be able to relate more with the souls of the damned than his original target would. The other, watched with worry as someone they held so dear would be facing their nemesis alone. Before the younger bot would notice they appeared behind them and left a small token, a reminder that no matter what; they were not alone. Feeling like someone was behind him Bon turned around and his eyes focused on two small plushies. His eyes widened when he realized it was an old Bonnie plush with a Toy Bonnie plush sewn to it to appear as if they were holding hands. Bon looked back at the mutilated mess behind him and sighed, "Helpy, get the one room ready!"
Helpy peered out into the darkened street and felt his circuits run cold, "O-One did show up huh?"
"Just the bastard I was hoping to see" Bon grabbed the rotten animatronic and dragged it inside.
'Is it bad that I am going to enjoy this?' Bon thought to himself as he threw his all too familiar nemesis into a chair.
