"So, do you have any question for me?" Janus said, breaking the silents. "Other then my favorites. That's why you asked me those back then, right?" Janus said holding his cup up while resting his elbows on the table.
"Uh...actually...", Virgil tipped nervously at the cup. "I...may have... known those things and a few more already...because I...tried to follow you for a few...y-years", Virgil burried his face in the cup, siping nervously on his cup, not daring to look at him direktly. "So you stalked me then."
Virgil jumped up as he cried out, surprising Janus. "OF COURSE NOT! I'M NOT REMUS!"
With a blushed face Virgil slowly sat back down. "Sorry...I just...", he paused for a moment to thing of the right words. "It was stupid, I know."
"I think, its cute", Janus said with a smile as he put down the cup, throwing Virgil out of bounce.
"You WHAT?" "Why not. You tried to see what you would like or dislike about me by 'stalking' me." He giggled. "I was not stalking you, ok."
"Then what were you doing." Virgil blanked. What was he even trying to say here right now.
"Forget about it. It's fine" Janus shrugged with a small smirk, crawling on his face. "Let's talk about something else, shall we?" Virgil nodded quickly.
"How about", Janus thought for a moment. "You ask me something you didn't asked yet but are burning to know the answer to. For example," he raised his right gloved hand. "Why for gods sake am I wearing those gloves the whole year long?" Virgil looked at him with a courious glare in his eyes.
"So, your courious about them as well", Janus smiled as he gave his gloved hand a some kind concerned smirk as he began. "You see. As a child, I used to have a annoying skin condition that made my hands all dry and scaly." He took his right glove off, revealing his bare scarred hand.
Long deep pale scratches overlaing the crater looking scare in the middle along with small but as deep cuts and coves on his fingers and palm.
"Obviously, I felt the urge to scratch it open with all my might, using every sharp tool I could find in this household, like my own nails, scissors, knifes, the god damn thorne bush in our backyard. To a point where my hands wouldn't stop bleeding because I couldn't stop, opening them back up." He giggled.
"My parents even had to force me to put on leather mittens and taped them shut so I would stop hurting myself. They didn't let me outside anymore because I would even use the bark of the trees to satisfy the itching. I wasn't even allowed to go to school for the period of time it took to heal, because they could help me to get rid of the mittens." Janus explaind while looking at his hand.
"Oh. And instead of giving me normal gloves, I was literally forced to wear those stupid mittens for good half my life and got oviously bullied in school when I was finally allowed to go back there." He gave a slightly depressed giggle. "I was a weird kid."
Virgil just starred at Janus's than at his hand, only imaging the pain he must had been through. But also feeling a peculiar urge to reach out for it, to touch it. For some odd reason. He was mentaly arguing with himself if he should do it or not. closing and opening his left free hand over and over again. Which Janus noticed quite quickly.
"You wanna touch it, don't you?" Janus smirked with a giggle, causing Virgil to snap out of his thoughts with a blush. "Yeah. What! No!...K-Kinda." Janus smiled, while putting his ungloved hand on the table.
"W-Wouldn't that hurt", he asked nervously but got shut down by Janus. "Just take it."
Virgil first looked at him with a brighter blush, then back down at his hand. Akwardly, he slowly reached out for it. His heart beating nervously in his chest. Virgil suddenly pulled back as his fingers touched, making it even more akward.
"Don't be shy, it won't bite", Janus giggled while giving him a loving smile like Virgil was a shy dear, meeting a human for the first time.
"S-shut it. Sorry." He finally took Janus's hand with both of his and went over the scares, inspecting the back of his hand properly.
They were like little, painfull looking dips and bumps in his warm and soft hand, but didn't made it less pleasant for Virgil. His mind was blank and his heart calm. All his fears he had and nervousness were gone in a instant. He turned his hand around, strocking the cuts in Janus's palm. Literally loosing himself in that hand of his.
Virgil didn't even noticed that he was smiling the whole time while Janus did the same at him. But when he finally noticed that their is still a body attatched to it, plus the owner was looking at him the whole time long, Virgil almost jumped off the chair, screaming in surprise.
"Oh shit! I-I'm so sorry I lost my self there. I didn't mean to do that for so long", he panicked while his face turned completely red like a tomato, making Janus giggle.
"It's fine, glad you enjoyed holding hands." Virgil let his head fell on the table with a loud thud while giving a embarrassed groan.
