Janus giggled a little before it got silent again between the two. Way too silent, making Virgil uncomfortable. Janus took a sip from his cup, letting it sink in before he broke the silents.
"The story of my blind eye is the same, by the way. Just a few years later having the same thing happening to me", Janus continued as Virgil dared to look back up at him again.
"You mean you-" "Clawed it out with my fingers and a pair of scissors", he finished, causing Virgil to stare at him.
"You're serious." Janus nooded. "You see the cuts." He pointed at the side of his head. Smaller cuts gathering near the sockets while longer onces were going down to his ear. Virgil hadn't noticed them before due to Janus wearing his head most the time, plus his hair, though beeing cut down at the sides, made it a bit harder to see. Not even inn the gym, where he didn't wore his head, he bearly got close enough to see it.
"You should had seen my mothers face, when she saw me, cutting away, while bleeding like a poor sucker." Janus said with a hurtful expression. "Poor woman," he sighed under his breath.
"But hey, look at me now", he tried to change the supject. "It healed well and I'm looking as good as I can be." Virgil gave him a kinda concerned look but didn't say anything.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to pull you down like that on our first date", Janus apologised, whereupon something in Virgil snaped. "D-Da..da-date. RIGHT! We're having a date haha," he suddenly slammed his own head on the table even louder, causing the cup to shake slightly.
Janus blinked at him confussed while trying not to laugh out loud. "You're ok there?" "W-What pfff yeah totally. All fine here. Ow", Virgil said while holding his forhead. "You sure? If it's to much we could stop here if you-"
"No. Please don't I'm liking it here, really", Virgil said looking direktly at him with tears forming in the corner of his left eye. 'The fuck are you doing', he thought to himself angrily, mentaly facepalming himself. 'Get yourself together, man.'
They stayed silent for a few minutes before Janus got up. "Your coffee must have got cold, I make you another one if you like."
"Thanks." Virgil handed Janus his cup. It became silent again. Janus now leaned against the counter behind him, resting his arms on it while waiting for the coffee.
"Say", both said suddenly at the same time, causing them to giggle. "You go first", Janus insisted but Virgil did the same.
"Fine, I'll go first. I was thinking we could go in my room for a change or showing you at least around a bit." Virgil looked at him like beeing hit with a car, by the word 'my room'.
'Oh shit. He did not just asked me that'. "I would love, uh like, to", Virgil said with a blush, mentally facepalming himself. 'Why did I say that.' Both of them got up, leaving the kitchen with the cups behind. They made their way upstairs. on the second floor, were only three more rooms.
The bathroom, his bedroom and a third one, which was to his right stright after the stairs, had a waring sign on it which read 'Watch your backs, prozeed with great caution' while beeing covered in orange yellow caution branded tabe on it. Virgil noticed a cut out, simular to a cat door at the top right corner. He gave Janus a concerned look.
"What type of snakes did you said you have, exactly." "A python", Janus replied with a cold expression. "Why."
"J-Just asking." Virgil quickly followed Janus into his room on the end of the small hallway with the bathroom arcoss it. "Make yourself com-."
"J-Janus?" Virgil said nervously as he pointed at something above Janus's shoulder. A yellow python head had sank down from the ceiling on his shoulder.
"Oh there you are missy", Janus said as he let it sank down on around his neck. "How dare you scaring my date like that, huh?" Virgil just stood there, anxiuos. Not moving any muscle.
"Don't worry, she's harmless", he said stroking the head of the python. "Do you wa-"
"NO!" Virgil cried out taking few quick steps away. "No need to shout at me." Janus giggled as he left the room before coming back without the python shortly after. "Sorry about that. Your ok?" Virgil nodded slowly walking back to the bed sitting down.
"Your not really a fan of snakes, are you?" "Not really no", he said while Janus sat down on a chair across him with a sigh. Just one foot apart from eachother. A bit to close for Virgils taste, making him all fussy again.
"Now that that's dealt with, how about we continuing were we left or little question game from earlier." Janus said while Virgil tried to calm himself down.
"Your really hating them so bad? Or am I a bit to close?" Janus grinned, causing Virgil to snap a bit.
"What? No! Both. Maybe. I don't know." He put his face in his hands in embarrassment, not knowing what he was trying to say there.
"Like I said we could leave it here if your not comfortable with this." "No! No, I'm fine really. That snake just starteled, that's all", he said while he looked back at Janus.
"Can I h-hold your hand for a bit", Virgil mumbled quietly under his breath.
"What was that I couldn't quite hear you." Virgil quickly shook his head with a blush, not knowing where the hell that came from.
"I-It was nothing." "Then why is your face red", Janus teased while getting closer into his face, whereupon Virgil pulled his hood over his head again and deep into his face. "Tell me."
Janus reached out for the hood, trying to take it down while Virgil was trying to keep it on as long he could. Suddenly Virgil felt backwards on the bed, taking Janus with him, who managed to catch himself before knocking his head on Virgils. His hood had got off by itself.
Janus was now towering over him, stamming his hands on the bed close to his head, trapping Virgil between his arms. Virgils face got reder than before while he didn't dare to move a muscle, holding his arms thight to his chest starring at Janus, who for once had a slight blush on his face as well.
His heart was beating loudly in his chest. None of them said a word for minutes just staying there like they are starring at eachother, then something in Virgil suddenly snapped as Roman's face appeared infront of him.
"NO!" He cried out as he pushed Janus hardly away, sending him against the chair than to the ground. Virgil panted as he clenched his chest tightly, his heart beating even faster now. He curled up into a ball wrapping his arms around himself.
