Chapter 2: An Unexpected Guest

It was 4 days later when the Order came for Harry. After almost being frozen to death, Harry arrived at the Order Headquarter - 12 Grimmauld Place.

The Headquarter was nothing like what Harry would have imagined. It was very dark, and grim, and mushy. And had Harry said grim yet? No wonder this place was called Grimmauld Place.

Harry wasn't sure what he thought the hiding place of the Good side would look like, but the dark feeling this place gave off would be more fitting for the other side.

When Harry finally met up with Ron and Hermione after all those longings he felt in the summer, suddenly, he decided that he would rather be left alone now. All the rage at the injustice of it all just surfaced, and Harry exploded at his friends.

As he calmed down, Harry learnt of Percy's betrayal, then went down the hall for dinner, met the portrait of Sirius' loving mother and almost went deaf, and learnt that despite all their efforts, the Order wasn't really able to do anything against Voldemort.

It was all just lovely, really.

The next day, Harry joined the house cleaning with the others. In Harry's mind, it was more that they were waging war against the house, which was aided by Kreacher the nasty house-elf.

He then learnt more about Sirius' very twisted family as well. But then again, they weren't Sirius' family, not really. Not like how his Dad had been.

After that, they went for lunch.

And then the doorbell rang.

Judai hadn't any idea why he had run away from the orphanage and only to go to this haunted-looking house. Actually, he did have a pretty good idea of why he was here. After all, it had been the same reason why he was in Little Whinging in the first place. And left his parents to their death...

Judai was convinced that it had been his fault the Accident had happened. If he hadn't gone to Little Whinging at all, his parents would be more aware of their surroundings, or they wouldn't even have gone anywhere near the place the Accident had happened at all. But he wouldn't think of that now, because there's a reason why he had to be there.

At first Judai hadn't understood why he had felt like he had to come to the Little Whinging, but after facing those Wraiths that Harry had called Decemtors?, remembering memories that were his yet not his, and hearing the story of an evil Dark Lord, Judai thought he had a pretty good idea why he had felt so.

After all, there's only one reason why he would have been reborn, again. To stop the Light of Destruction.

But here, he wasn't sure. This place reeked of evil feeling, maybe this was the hiding place of the Evil Lord? Judai was confident he would survive the Evil Lord if they happened to crossways, but the Gentle Darkness couldn't expect him to just go and defeat this Evil Lord AND the Light like that, without learning anything about the Magic World, or at least making sure that he could use his power properly, right?

Apparently they did, because he was here already.

"Okay, if I die now and no one stops the Light later, it's you guys' fault," Judai muttered quietly to himself, but he knew the Darkness would hear even if he hadn't said anything. He felt they giggled back at him playfully.

"Here goes nothing!" Judai said aloud, ringing the bell to alert the house's residents of his arrival.

Everyone was put on high alert. There wasn't supposed to be any visitor, even though they were sure the Death Eaters couldn't have found them yet, or at all. The house was under lots of protection, and they had Dumbledore as the Secret Keeper as well. But Mrs. Weasley still went to call for the other members and told the children to stay where they were, and Sirius cautiously went to open the door.

To his surprise, a child was standing at the door, looking like he couldn't be any older than 7. The kid noticed the opened door, looked up at him, and beamed brightly. But Sirius knew looks could be deceiving, so he held his wand pointedly at the kid's head.

"Who are you? No, why are you here? How can you be here?" Sirius asked harshly.

"I'm Judai Yuuki, and why I am here is, ugh..." Judai furrowed his eyebrows, he should have thought this more thoroughly, if he said he was here for the Evil Lord's head, they may not let him meet the Evil Lord at all. He so should just have used the Darkness to sneak into the Evil Lord's room, if only the Darkness hadn't left him at their evil lair doorstep and just brought him straight to his room, or at least gave him an inkling of where the Evil Lord's room would be.

Judai really didn't like the idea of fighting everyone in his ways, or having to go looking for the Evil Lord around the house. That would suck. In hindsight, he should have seen that coming.

The Darkness purred. Judai pouted. Despite having all his pasts' memories back, Judai was still very much a child in his mind.

Sirius watched the child pouted warily. He hadn't answered any important question Sirius had thrown his way yet.

Sirius frowned.

The sound of the other Order's members arriving broke Sirius out of his thoughts, and he let out a relieved breath. Good, everyone was here. They could deal with this, whatever it was, together.

Mad-Eye Moody was a cautious man with a very healthy dose of paranoia, or so he thought. After all, he wouldn't survive as long as he did if he hadn't been paranoid of every smallest thing.

So when he saw a strange face at the doorway to the Order Headquarter, he did the only reasonable thing there was: firing a stunning spell at the unsuspecting intruder, never mind him looking like a child, then brought him to be questioned with Veritaserum.

Except that the spell had disappeared halfway in the dark, the kid had turned to him, alerted, and Dumbledore had stepped ahead and told him to stop.

Dumbledore looked at the strange child with curiosity in his eyes, and more curiosity after the child had somehow blocked Moody's spell when he hadn't even been aware of their presence.

"I think we should move to the kitchen, where we can talk about this more comfortably," said Dumbledore reasonably, and everyone moved to lead the child to the kitchen at once.

He heard Molly shushing Harry and the other children upstairs, and saw recognition shone in Harry's and the child's eyes when they saw each other.

Very curious, indeed.

"Harry!"

Harry was fuming when he heard his name called by a voice he hadn't thought to hear again and turned to face the mysterious guest of 12 Grimmauld Place. True enough, he was faced with a beaming Judai, whom he met just 5 days ago in Little Whinging. He liked to think that he would recognise that two-toned brown mop everywhere.

"Judai?"

If it's possible, Judai beamed brighter at him.

Harry turned to Dumbledore, requesting to be able to stay in one last attempt.

"I know this kid. I would like to stay when you question him," Harry pleaded.

And it seemed like today's Harry's lucky day, because his request was actually granted. The others in turn demand to be able to stay too, but Harry turned them out in favour of the still beaming Judai.

Really, the kid looked too happy to see Harry here, so he didn't think the kid was an enemy as of yet. But the question remained, why was he here?

Judai was led into an equally dreadful room as the rest of the house. At least, this room looked a bit cleaner, but still...

He was still beaming at the thought of Harry being here. If Harry was here then the Darkness mustn't have led him straight to the Evil Lord's lair yet. And this must be the Good Guys lair! He beamed again. The Darkness giggled.

He was given a cup of tea. But there were no biscuits. So he asked for some, politely.

Mrs. Redhead went to fetch a tray of biscuits for him when he asked. Judai thought she was very nice, just like Mum. Oh no he wouldn't go there.

So when he prepared to bring the tea to his mouth, he got this sudden feeling that he should not drink the tea.

"I don't wanna drink the tea," he said, pouting.

"Oh dear, do you need more sugar? Or milk?" Mrs. Redhead asked. Yep, she's very nice. Judai decided that he liked her.

"No... it's just... there's something in the tea..." he frowned.

Mr. Scarface stepped ahead and told him in his scary voice, "Drink the tea, boy!"

"No!" he shook his head.

"Drink it!"

"No!"

"It's not a request," Mr. Scarface said dangerously.

Judai thought of saying no again stubbornly, but a nudge from the Gentle Darkness made him stop.

'I thought you guys didn't want me to drink the tea?' he thought questioningly. The indifferent shrug was the sole answer he got. Judai frowned, 'fine, suit yourself.'

Judai drank the suspicious tea.

Dumbledore watched as the child's face went from stubborn, to confusion, to frowning as he drank all the tea he had refused just a minute ago with all his might.

'What could it be that makes him change his mind so fast?' he wondered. Because obviously the child hadn't changed his mind on his own accord. Not to mention that he had somehow sensed that the tea was laced with Veritaserum.

Dumbledore didn't want to use Legilimency on the boy, but if he thought the child may pose any danger, he wouldn't be hesitant.

Harry watched on as Judai drank the tea and saw him relax into his chair as his eyes glazed over. He thought that using the Veritaserum was a bit harsh, but he understood the necessity. Judai seemed to have too many secrets that could be dangerous.

So he was caught off guard when a question came his way.

"So how do you know this kid, Harry?" Hermione asked, because she couldn't wait for the Order to finish questioning Judai first.

Hermione's question caught the attention of the other members in the rooms, as all eyes turned to him, except Judai's as he was lost to the world already.

And that was how Harry told the Order of the day he first met Judai and witnessed him killing the Dementors. Many gasped at that, Harry winced in sympathy. If he hadn't seen it performed right before his eyes, Harry wouldn't have known it was possible to kill Dementor.

"And you didn't think to tell anyone until now?" Mad-Eye asked.

"There have been so many things that I kind of forgot about it," Harry looked away sheepishly, "but shouldn't Mrs. Figg already informed you about it? She was there too!"

Many just sighed at that.

Finally, they turned back to Judai, this time with more fear and wariness than ever.

Listening to Harry's tale had taken much longer than he would like, so Dumbledore decided not to waste any more time to start questioning Judai.

"What's your name, my boy?" he asked.

"Yuuki Judai... or Judai Yuuki..."

Dumbledore nodded. At least the boy was who he said he was.

"Why are you here?" he asked.

"...I don't know..." came the answer.

Dumbledore frowned, "What do you mean by that?"

"I knew I needed to come here, but I don't know the reason why."

"Surely this can't be, Headmaster," Severus said for the first time since the meeting from his corner in the room, "there must be something wrong with the Veritaserum. There's no way the boy could not know why he is here."

Dumbledore nodded, but said instead, "I don't think there's something with the truth serum. I believe in your skill as our Potion Master."

"Then why?"

"Ah. That's what I would like to know too," Dumbledore turned his attention back to Judai, "are you possessed, Mr. Yuuki? Was there any time you felt a blank in your memories?"

Many gasps were echoing across the room.

"I don't think so..." Judai said, frowning. It looked like they didn't have much time anymore.

"Do you mean any harm to us?" Dumbledore asked, having decided that this was the most important question that needed answering.

"It depends on who you are," said Judai slowly, "are you the bad guy? I don't think you are but I don't know..."

Some were relaxed and smiling at Judai's answer, including Dumbledore. "No, we are not, Mr. Yuuki," he answered.

"Then no," said Judai, nodding to himself as the last of Veritaserum lost its effect.

"Huh?" Judai said, looking around. That was definitely weird.

As he looked around, he found many were smiling at him and Judai couldn't help but smile brightly back. He didn't understand much, but whatever it was, he must have passed the test somehow. And the details were of no importance at all!

Harry found himself smiling quietly as Judai beamed at everyone in the room. So they would have to settle with Judai being this weird kid with strange power but ultimately a good kid then.

'This isn't so bad,' Harry thought, and he grinned again as Judai turned his direction.

But really, the kid's mere presence was enough to brighten this place already. That must be some kind of magic, to battle against the darkness of Grimmauld Place.
