Chapter 5: Judai's Perfect Plan

Staying in Grimmauld Place alone with Sirius was boring, Judai thought. He should have gone with Mrs. Weasley to the Burrow, instead of listening to Sirius' puppy eyes. But at least in here he could finally do some training and testing his power of the Gentle Darkness now that the house was more deserted.

After the first day he found out that the Darkness was perfectly in his control, and since then Judai got more and more bored with each day passed.

Finally, after a full week of doing absolutely nothing in Grimmauld Place, Judai decided it's high time for him to return the wizards a favour, and to finish his duty as the Herald of Darkness. Which meant, Judai thought it's time for him to challenge the Evil Lord and the Light.

Of course, he had to check things with the Darkness first, and they thought Judai had the right idea to finish his business as soon as possible. So like the good boy he was, he wrote a challenging letter to the Evil Lord. Because he was an honourable warrior, not a sneaky assassin. Not that he had anything against assassins at all! He thought they were cool too. Just not his style. And this was totally not because of the Phantom Thief anime he had been watching before!

After having written a Yuuki-Judai-approved challenging letter, he realised a fatal mistake that he had overlooked. That was, wizards sent letters by owls, and there was no owl in the house!

But to go to the Evil Lord's house to drop the letter off kind of feel counterproductive, and it wouldn't be cool!

So, as the only logical thing to do, he asked the Gentle Darkness to bring him to an owl. Don't ask why he didn't think of asking the Gentle Darkness to bring an owl to him.

Lucius Malfoy was minding his business in the Ministry when a kid appeared before him. The kid looked around, then turned to him, and asked,

"Mister, are you an owl?"

Lucius felt an eyebrow of his twitching, annoyed at the question, or was it an insult?, "Do I look like an owl to you, boy?" he asked darkly.

"No..." the kid answered, "but are you sure you are not an owl who turned himself into a human lookalike?"

"No," Lucius answered harshly, "and who are you to talk to me, boy? Wait, I remembered you, you are the Mudblood who was at Potter's hearing...

"And what would a Mudblood want with me?" he said, looking down at the lowly kid, "In case you haven't noticed, I haven't the time for your kind," he hissed.

But the kid didn't seem to notice his sneering, as he beamed brightly, "I thought you wouldn't ask. I need to send this letter to Lord... Lord Voidmood, yes him!" and then he put a letter into his hand and ran away.

As a matter of fact, Lucius wanted nothing to do with a letter from a Mudblood, but his curiosity made him open the letter to read the content before he could throw it away. After all, what kind of letter would a Mudblood want to send to the Dark Lord?

And Merlin, he had read something very amusing. The Dark Lord would surely be furious with the insults in the letter. The kid was practically asking for his death. But Lucius had a better idea.

The Daily Prophet would surely love this kind of story.

The Daily Prophet did indeed love the letter Lucius Malfoy had given them.

And they hadn't wasted any time at all to write an article about how a disillusioned kid had listened to Dumbledore's and Harry Potter's story, and thought that he could challenge the imaginary You-Know-Who, not knowing how lucky it had been for him that You-Know-Who hadn't really come back.

Harry's life in Hogwarts thus far had been very miserable, what with Umbridge as the Defence Professor, and the detentions she had given him, so he didn't think he could receive worse news than that.

He had been sorely mistaken.

That morning had started like normal, until the Great Hall started shooting him more dirty looks than the previous days combined. And his scar hurt!

And then Hermione showed him Judai's letter to Voldemort, printed on the first page of the Daily Prophet.

He skipped the slander of his and Dumbledore's name, and read Judai's letter once, twice, and the third time he couldn't help but curse at Judai's naivety.

London, 8/9/1995

Dear Mr. Voldermore (?),

I'm Judai Yukki and I recently fond out about magic cuz I happened to go by when Harry and the decemtors met this summur and it's really cool (magic, not decemtor), but I can't go to this magic school he goes which called Hogwart because they only teach people from 11 and Im 7.

So I head from Harry that you came back from whereever-you-gone- recently and everyone act so scared and noone dare say your name so I don't know if I wrote your nem right or not. (Actually I lied Harry did say your name a lot but he didn't tell me how to spell your name sooo)

Anyway everyone said you are really evil and powerful, but I don't understand cuz they said you are hiding rightnow, and if you are the one goes hiding then you mustn't be that powerful right? I bet you aren't, I mean they said you are scared of Harry and the school headmaster Dumbedor and they are really nice! So that means they just extragrate things to scare me! Oooh how mean of them!

So the thing is I ve decided to banish you back to whereever-you-come-back-from tomorrow which is 9/9/1996 so everyone won't be scared of you anymore. I mean Harry did it when he's a baby!

With love, (not!)

Yuuki Judai

Harry felt sick.

He hoped Judai hadn't done anything more stupid than this, or Sirius would be able to stop him before Judai could find himself in a worse situation.

Sirius was howling Judai's name in his house, his piece of the Daily Prophet lying forgotten on the table.

But Judai Yuuki was nowhere to be found at 12 Grimmauld Place.

Lord Voldemort was very angry that there's an insolent child who not only didn't know how to write properly, but also dared to make fun of him. The Mudblood even wrote his own name wrong! Was his name Judai Yukki or Yuuki Judai?

He was, in fact, so enraged that he started torturing the Death Eaters in the room. So when the door was suddenly opened and a kid stepped in, he instinctively fired the killing curse at him. But as the curse left his mouth, he regretted it as he realised that this must be the culprit behind his rage, and killing him would be too easy a way out for him. No, he must suffer.

But alas, the killing curse had already collided with the kid, and no one survived his curse, except Potter once, but that was just a fluke.

And strangely, miraculously, the kid stood up again.

Voldemort felt himself standing up from his throne.

"Ouch!" Judai exclaimed, his eyes tingling with unshed tears.

That burned like hell, just like the Light! Which mustn't be too far off seeing as he (not he actually, but the darkness covered around him) was just struck by a beam of green light!

But he won't cry though. That would be so unheroic.

"Well well, Yuuki Judai I presumed," a cold voice called.

Judai looked up. It was Mr. Snakeface who was approaching him. He had this feeling that Mr. Snakeface was the Evil Lord he had to defeat today, and if Judai trusted anything, it was the Darkness and his instinct. Although the two of them often overlapped, and he hadn't been aware of the Darkness until recently.

"Where's your manners, boy?" the Evil Lord said, impatient, "you should learn to answer when you are asked a question," he paused, "but considering what would soon unfold, I guess that would be unnecessary after all."

This time he shot a red beam at Judai. It hurt less than the green one, but it still burned.

"Tell me, boy, how did you survive the killing curse?" the silky voice asked, not waiting for Judai to regain his breath.

Judai's hand flew to his cardholder and took out 3 cards, knowing he had drawn the cards he needed without looking.

"I activate the Magic card, Polymerization to fuse Featherman and Burstlady!" Judai cried, "Fusion Summon! My favourite hero, Elemental HERO Flame Wingman!"

With a roar, Flame Wingman appeared.

"Flame Wingman, attack player directly!" Judai commanded.

Flame Wingman nodded once to Judai, who was still kneeling on the floor, and turned to the Evil Lord.

The Evil Lord shot more beams of every colour at Flame Wingman, but Flame Wingman managed to evade every single one of them. In seconds, he had closed the distance between them. Flame Wingman raised his dragon head hand to attack the Evil Lord, but,

His hero was burning! Judai screamed as he felt his hero's pain through their link. He had to remove Flame Wingman back to the Spirit Realm, lest there wouldn't be anything left of him. The Evil Lord had summoned the evil fire in the shape of animals. They raged violently, but died down when the Evil Lord dismissed them.

Judai looked down to the Element HERO Flame Wingman card in his hand. Half of the card had turned black, but it's still there. He could feel his hero was still alive. Good. The Darkness could nurse them back to health later.

He looked up as he heard the Evil Lord approach him. The Evil Lord caressed Judai's face gently but firmly, forcing him to look into the Evil Lord's red eyes.

"Interesting piece of magic you have," he said sweetly, "tell me, my boy, where does the source of your fascinating magic come from? If you tell me, I may even spare your life."

Judai did not answer him. And when he couldn't find the answer he wanted from just locking eyes with Judai, the Evil Lord threw Judai to the floor, hissing,

"Fine, keep your secrets, I could always torture the information out of you!"

The Evil Lord cast the light beams at Judai again. Of course, the Darkness still blocked them, but that didn't mean he did not feel his Darkness burned though.

And Judai screamed.

Lord Voldemort heard the whispers of his newfound ally. "It's him! It's him! It's him!" they whispered again and again in his head. When he inquired what they meant, the Light only shrieked: "It's the Herald!", and then, the chanting inside his head turned into "Destroy him! Destroy him! Destroy him!"

Voldemort didn't want to feel like he was listening to the Light's order. Not that he had planned anything different.

He was musing whether to give the Light the satisfaction of ordering him around or not, when he felt a foreign emotion that he could not identify. He turned back to the fallen child at his feet and involuntarily took a step back.

The child had stood back up, staring ahead with blank golden eyes, his gaze not registering anything. And the child was clad in the darkest black he had ever seen armour, highlighted with gold lines and a red cape. A black helmet was forming around his head, covering his face, yet Voldemort could still feel his cold gaze piercing through him. Funny that his eyes seemed to see nothing and everything at the same time.

FEAR! Voldemort's instinct was screaming at him. But that was impossible! He was Lord Voldemort, the most powerful dark wizard on Earth! He couldn't be intimidated!

The Light had quietened as well, Voldemort noted. He took another step back to assert his opponent again, not out of fear at all! The air around the child had changed, and the room seemed to have darkened significantly. But all of that did not matter one bit.

So Voldemort attacked.

The Darkness giggled to themself happily. Their King would destroy the Light again. Just like it had always been since millennia ago.

And they would shred the Light's current vessel into pieces for all the pain he had caused them.

But then something unexpected happened. Their King stopped his attack on the Light's vessel. Not because of the tiny spells the vessel had been casting though.

Why did their King stop?

And why did their King have that panicky expression on his face?

The Darkness did not understand. They had been so close to defeat the Light again!

They felt themself dismissed as their King dropped his armour.

Judai had let the Supreme King persona take over when he couldn't take the pain anymore. But hearing the armour had snapped him out of it, and the horror had taken over.

Because nothing good ever happened when he wore that armour!

In his panic state, Judai summoned the Darkness to escape from there, not caring where the Darkness would take him to. He trusted the Darkness anyway.

And that's how he appeared in the Ministry of Magic for the third time, together with the whole room full of evil lord and his minions (Voldemort and Death Eaters).

Author's note: Writing Judai's mess of a letter hurts.
