Chapter 34

"Mo… How? It's like he just breathes on you and you get pregnant, Kyoko." Kanae groused.

Kyoko giggled. "It's not that bad, Kanae."

"Really? You're pregnant with twins and… AND it happened the first week of your honeymoon. I'm going to assume that it most likely happened on the flight?" Kanae scolded.

Kyoko blushed just thinking of that delightful flight experience. She'd asked him to fuck her until she couldn't walk and he in turn made an honest effort of it. She could safely say that her wish had been fulfilled, especially considering that he had to carry her off the plane when they landed because she'd been so sore. A delicious kind of sore too. They both had slept in their hotel suit for a full day and soaked their tired muscles in the large tub that first night there. After their first week they'd both been so relaxed, she felt boneless. After that, a single night didn't go by that they didn't make full use of their time together, showering each other with attention and making up for lost time. It would have been a wonder if she didn't come back in her condition.

"So, when do you go in to deliver the girls?" Kanae sighed out, sipping her tea.

"We've scheduled the surgery for next weekend. Kuon will be finished filming and Shin has a Spring Break, so we thought that would be the best time." Kyoko explained as she shifted in her seat to get more comfortable.

"I really don't know how you do it. I don't think I could tolerate the scars from it." Erika commented.

"It really wasn't that bad with Shin and the scar from his faded pretty quickly." Kyoko told them.

"How's Shin taking everything?" Chiori asked, nibbling on a teacake. "He's been an only child for so long."

Kyoko giggled. "He's almost, if not more excited than Kuon is about it all. They've been tossing around names for them ever since they found out they're girls."

"Whatever you do, don't let them name them names that match." Aki warned. "My cousins were teased mercilessly when they were kids for that."

Kyoko shook her head. "No need to worry about that. That is definitely where I put my foot down. I have to approve before anything goes on the birth certificates. I made that very clear to them from the beginning." The topics gradually shifted to work. "So how are you and Sho doing at LME International."

Aki nodded and gave a soft smile. "I have to admit, it's definitely a lot more different than Akatoki, but we certainly don't regret moving over to LME. With Akatoki's policies on relationships and marriage, Sho and I would have had to hide our marriage from the public. President Takarada is a marketing genius when it comes to those types of things, I have to admit." She confessed.

When Sho freaked out a few months ago, after finding out he was going to be a father, he mentioned it to Kyoko how he wanted to marry Aki, but Akatoki would have ruined her and blacklisted him for it if they found out. So Kyoko had mentioned to him about Lory eccentricities and told him that she could put in a good word for him with the man. Not even two weeks after that Akatoki willingly let him and Aki go without a fight and transferred his contract over to Lory. He still refused to return to Japan until the fans stopped being love-sick jealous cows that didn't care about anyone but themselves, but Lory was working on that with him.

"What about you?" Chiori asked. "You going back anytime in the near future?"

Kyoko sighed. "I may someday." She giggled a little. "Maybe like Otou-san did when he put his stage name to rest. Not so sure about any time soon though. Everything there is still a little messy. I think I pissed off a lot of women by marrying their god." She smirked.

"Mo… Too bad for those selfish bitches. If they wanted him, they should have tried harder to keep him there." Kanae groused. She was waiting one more year before she would decide on whether or not to leave and make her home in LA. She never breathed a word to the others about why, but Kyoko had a hunch as to why, and the why was only 19 this year. Kyoko suspected that Kanae didn't wish to be seen as some sort of cradle robber and that was the reason it was never discussed with anyone, but her.

Chiori sighed and glanced at her watch. "I should get going. I promised to pick up Hikaru at the airport." She announced as she covered the 3 month-old with a light blanket and grabbed the diaper bag.

"I should be going too. Sho has a late dinner meeting with one of the new record producers that Takarada set him up with, and he wants me there with him." Aki announced, going through her purse, looking for her phone and keys.

Kyoko stood and bade them goodbye before Erika and Kanae decided to walk her to spot where her driver was waiting for her. "Have a safe trip and I'll send pictures next weekend." Kyoko hugged them both. "Thank you for being there you guys. I love you both, my sisters."

The pair hugged her in return. "Just be safe and don't overdo it, okay?" Erika smiled softly.

"Make those two wait on you like a queen. Got it?" Kanae let out a teasing giggle.

"Don't worry. They already do. Now get going before you're late." She entered the car with a wave and blew a couple of friendly kisses.

Kuon Hizuri was accosted by his son the moment he walked through the door. "Daddy! How is she? When can we see her?"

Kuon smiled brightly and lifted his son into his arms. "She and your sisters are doing great. We should be able to go and see them this afternoon. The doctor said the anesthesia should wear off by then."

Juli let out a sigh of relief as she stood in the doorway that led to their kitchen. "How are the babies?"

Kuon's face lit up with a soft, angelic smile and hugged his son tighter. "Very healthy." He kissed Shin's cheek. "And as beautiful as their mother and brother." He announced with a gentle smile, thinking of the tiny, raven-haired, golden-eyed fairies that he had been allowed to hold moments after their birth.

"~Dad~" Shin groaned a little. "Boys can't be beautiful."

Kuon chuckled. "Okay Champ." He ruffled his hair before setting him back down.

Juli giggled. "You're father should be finished by one, and Ushio's flight should be in by noon. How about we all go together when she wakes up?" She suggested, giving him those pleading puppy-dog eyes that he was oh so familiar with using himself.

He gave a light laugh and shook his head. I hope she isn't teaching Shin that. He thought. Shin still hadn't pulled out that weapon on him so he was completely unaware that it was far too late to wish for something like that. "Alright, but we can't stay there too long. She needs her rest. I don't want her room flooded with a whole bunch of people before she's ready for something like that." He warned.

Shin looked up at him a little worried. "Daddy? Is it okay that we're going?"

Kuon nodded. "Of course it is, Buddy. We just don't want everybody in her room all at once. Only family. The others can wait until your mom and the girls are home to visit." He explained.

Elizabeth and Victoria, after two of the most famous queens in history. Those were the names that had been chosen by their big brother and their overly doting father. The twins would complain for many years about how the men in their lives were over-protective and attempted many times to convince their mother to have a talk to them. If it wasn't enough to have Shin and Papa hovering around them protectively, Grandpa Kuu, Grandpa Ushio, Grandpa Takatsuki, and Grandpa Lory often added to their little dilemma.

One would think with all of these doting protective men in their lives, the girls would be spoiled rotten little princesses, but thankfully their mother and three grandmothers would never allow such a thing. Kyoko kept them centered and respectful. Grandmother Yayoi, taught them to be reserved and respectful. Grandmother Takatsuki, taught them the value of an honest day of hard work. Grandmother Juli taught them to be graceful and accepting of others, she'd learned her lesson long ago about the damages that prejudices could cause. We won't even go into the almost infinite amount of non-related uncles and aunts the girls could claim as family. Needless to say, Shin, Lizzy, and Vikki would not suffer the slings and arrows of childhood that their parents had to brave.
