"Oh, and don't worry if you get lonely in there." Luminous said. "They'll keep you company."
"Compan-?" Alanna asked.
"Are the others ok?" Asked Sendara.
"But if we don't get to see her by the time she recovers, we will look for you, we will find you, and I will kill you..." Griph said.
And now...
Chapter 9
Eclipsa's story, Mags's trust, Willow's breakdown, and a hybrid's love
Angie's point of view
So, any available Skylanders and my friends came around to hear my story, all of it. I handed Luna to Brandon because I was feeling so nervous to the point of me doubting that the other's won't believe me.
"Many years ago, me and my brother Light Shire lived in a world called Nocturnal Lane, I told a bit about it to Brandon. But it's a world for any element, the one thing however, it's always night. Many life there glows including its own residents such as me and my brother. One day Luminous attacked and killed many, many of us, including our family. At the time me and Light Shire didn't gain our power or our element and we were both survivors there and he took us in. Some years later, Light Shire gained light and I gained darkness with a special moon marking on my cheek. They were shocked and they decided to shun me out of their way, out of their face, and treated me like a worthless being from our kind. I didn't even learn anything not even one skill because the library has only light element history and learning. When there's no books for darkness skill or any history, they even make sure that I'm weakened to light. But they're wrong, I actually gotten used to the light, my own brother even started to beat me up. I asked him why while I was in pain and he just said, to test my skills. Things gotten worse from there to the point where I had to run away and escape from the Shrine of Light. I somehow landed on Earth where I met Brandon when he was visiting some relatives with his family. I was scared at first since I had a bit of a trust issue, but I notice of how they wanted to help me, so I went with them when they headed back to their home in London. For the first time ever in my life Earth I felt was the safest for me because I was away from my brother, followers of Luminous, and Luminous himself." I told them my story.
"Was there anyone who was also with them?" Snap Shot asked.
"There is also one who I remembered, she's a non-fighter." I said.
"Who?" Asked Spotlight as she came in with Blackout.
"Staris, she's a spell punk who was formerly under Kaos. Due to what could happen to her, she could die if she continued to fight." I said. "She was really the only one who took care of the damage that was done to me."
"Staris... that sound's somewhat familiar." Snap Shot said.
I raised a brow at him, the others looked at the snap shooter as well.
"How do you know her exactly?" Shawn asked him.
"I know a lot of use don't usually mention anyone from the past including any family or old friends but Staris was actually my babysitter when the last one failed. We were pretty young back then, so we didn't know any hunting skills yet if we want to learn it." Snap Shot answered.
"Really a babysitter?" Asked Snowy.
"This is normal actually, even though my parents are rich, they don't really plan parties all the time, they do plan a party for an anniversary, birthday, or holiday." Brandon said. "I think you met our babysitter a few times."
"Yeah, they were weirded out by the fact that they took in a strange girl from outer space." I said.
"Well, after some years, she just left us." He added to his story. "She might've told our parents why she left but we didn't know why because they never told us."
"Anyways, we need to find that Shrine of Light." Endous said.
"I can tell Mags is having a one-on-one conversation with Dr. Krankase, I don't know what she'll get out of him, hopefully some useful information." Willow told us.
Mag's point of view
"Krankase, I know we both been through the same school together, but for a friend favor please, please, tell us where the Shrine of Light is." I said.
"Okay, fine Mags, I have no idea where it is. No one from any Doom-Raiders knows where it is." He told me. "Neither does Nightshade himself. The funny thing is, no one even went there for meetings. What's even funnier that Nightshade is afraid of Luminous that he showed superiority to Nightshade."
"Is there anything useful from a factory of yours?" I asked another question.
"Yes, an abandoned factory, I used it to create live mutant plants that were suppose to be evil. If I remembered correctly there might be some around there still, even my most successful creation named Boom Bloom." He told me.
"I'll keep you with me, but you know that I'll whack you in the back of your head with my staff." I told him.
"I knew that was coming." He said.
"Now please pipe it down, so I can tell this to the others." I replied as I left the room.
There standing was Aurora next to Eon as usual, most of the members of the psycho group, Snap Shot, the other two leaders, Flyn, Hugo, Cali, and Tessa taking turns talking about what to do. The only one missing was Buzz since his absence due to an unknown reason, apart from Alanna who went with Luminous and Millie who was kidnapped by Nightshade.
"Um, excuse me everyone." I started.
Everyone quiet down for me to start talking.
"Okay, so I wasn't able to get The Shrine's location out from Dr. Krankase but he did told me that there could be a way to figure out where it is. But we needed to be careful, because there might be rouge mutant plants there, including one named Boom Bloom." I explained to them. "I know Krankase better than anyone here really, so there wouldn't be a trap, but we all know to be cautious."
"Wait, so you're trusting a mad doctor for this one?" Aurora asked.
"Yes," I responded. "But I'll let Krankase slide from getting whacked in the head by my staff for now."
"Ok, let's get going to this abandoned factory." Clone said.
Snowy brought out her phone.
"Snowy, don't you dare." Endous started.
But she did it anyways and started to play some music.
"Why the factory theme from Just shapes and beats?" Brandon asked.
"I don't know, but I like the beat of it." Dr. Krankase said.
"He just vibes to it." Chompy Mage said.
"Let's just go guys." Obsidian moaned in annoyance.
Tuff Luck, Knightmare, and Wildfire decided to go with Snowy, Endous, and Brandon to the abandoned factory. While the rest of us is planning on how to find Millie and Alanna and save them from Luminous and Nightshade.
Willow's point of view
The past few weeks have been pretty stressful, especially for me since I've never been on an adventure in my life like this or anything else. There was nothing from some of us who went to the abandoned factory except that they ran into some of the mutant plants that were mentioned but none was named Boom Bloom. There were even times I had to step out to get some space, I remembered that I didn't have a nervous issue and yet since two of our friends were taken from us, I was in a nervous wreck. Even some of my Skylander partners (Bat spin and Stealth Elf) gotten hurt, I knew it was my fault, I need to go to Eon to talk to him about what's been happening and maybe deciding to head back home. But Rattle Shake stopped me before I left my assigned house, I accidently smacked him with my sledge-hammer and he went flying through a wall.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I cried.
"No, it's alright, this happens when I gave Night Shift a scare." He painfully said.
I pulled him out of the wall and gave him back his hat.
"Why did you try to stop me from going to Eon?" I asked him.
"Look, I know you're in a nervous wreck but not everyone isn't in a normal state as well." Rattle Shake said.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"I mean that some of us was like you as well, this was entirely new to us when we were first recruited." He answers. "Some of us was nervous, surprised, and other mix of feelings."
"Really?" I asked.
"Even some think of me as someone as sinister, which I didn't have any friends at the beginning." He explained. "But of course, some of us opened up over time, not all of us are easy to trust."
"Oh really?" I asked.
"Yeah, but everyone started to trust me after a while." He answered. "I know this is new to you, but you need to learn how to get through this. Look, I'll help you but please, don't go back to Earth, because Alanna doesn't like it how her friends fail because of some situations, you can worry more later."
I gave up on going to Eon and I hugged him leaving him in surprise, I was even surprised that he hugged me back. Then Mags and Buzz along with Spy rise burst through the door.
"We heard a crash!" she yelled.
"Uh, are we interrupting something?" Spy rise asked.
"GUYS!" I yelled as my face turned a bit red.
"Let me explain, Willow never had an adventure including one like this, which was why she was stressed." Rattle Shake said. "So, I was able to convince her to not to leave us, since Alanna and Millie were both still in captive by Luminous and Nightshade. And jeez amigo, why are you thinking that way?"
"I don't know, it's been crazy." He answered.
"Let's just hope that nothing bad is happening to them." I said.
Millie's point of view
It's been weeks with no response from anyone, I just hope they'll find me, not even once I saw Nightshade since he saw me waking up just the other day. He might be out being himself again... stealing things as always, at least he gave me a map of his place and told me where not to go, like the dungeon because one where the prisoners were kept and two it was being remade. He did say people who he put in guest rooms are not prisoners, so, I guess I'm a guest to the mansion unless he changes his mind. So, the past few weeks I've been wandering around the mansion garden which was really dead since there was never any light there, I've also been through the library, yet I thought it was Nightshade's shadow or a clone that scared me. I even found a stack of old newspapers laying around, and Nightshade is on the front cover as usual, but there is one that said missing portal master couple Anna Fei and Miles Wix with a photo of them. Miles Wix sounded familiar, when did I last heard it, then I remembered that my father was named Miles Wix who was with my step-mother Olivia Dragoness and my step-brother Griph. Since my father's element was earth is water my real mother's element? Then I felt a tap on my shoulder and I jumped, leaving the figure behind me a laugh.
"Nightshade!" I yelled as I flustered.
"Miss me?" He asked.
"Well apart from you stealing me away from my friends yes." I admitted.
"I have to admit you may have a thing for me." Nightshade replied.
My face turned a bit more red.
"DUDE!" I yelled. "What the f***?!"
"What do you have here?" He asked once I calm down.
"A newspaper from maybe 11 years ago." I answered. "One about Miles Wix and Anna Fei."
"The missing portal master couple?" He asked.
"Yes." I answered. "The man here in the picture is my father."
"Your father? You didn't know?" He asked.
"Know what?" I asked.
"Your father is born from a powerful earth element portal master family and your mother is the same but from water." He answered. "You're actually a portal master, I mean you're born from a portal master family."
"I-I am?" I asked with shock.
"Yes, since that fire happened at your assigned house, I was afraid Wolfgang would find a portal master easily. Although he's aggressive and does care for us I don't fully trust him, if the others showed up here for the first time, I want you to stay away from that room, from Golden Queen, and from Wolfgang even." Nightshade said. "I promise your friends that I would keep you safe, I placed you in a guest room and you're not a prisoner so either way, you wouldn't be placed in the dungeon because I run this place."
"Why do you want me to stay away from him?" I asked.
"I just don't trust him, I'm afraid if he found out about you being a portal master, from heart and birth, he could use you for his scheme or hurt you." He answered.
"Ok, ok, ok, as long I get to roam around still, right?" I asked.
"Yes, once someone tells me that they're here then you must hide in your room until I tell someone that they're in the meeting room, and that it's safe for you to roam around. When the meeting is done, they'll tell you and you need to hide again until they leave, I just hope that Wolfgang won't catch anything suspicious here." Nightshade responded.
"Alright." I said.
Alanna's point of view
As usual Luminous roams in his shrine to make sure that everything was in order, and he's also making sure that me and the kids are still there. Some days I asked about his past, but he gets a bit touchy on that topic and didn't answer. Especially with the kids around, since I was determined, I need to find out. Right when Luminous was in Lunara's sorcery room I came in from behind and tackled him down, we fell forward, and I poked at him at his hip and his back.
"ACK! ALANNA WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Luminous yelled.
"I'll stop poking you if you tell me about your past, before you ended up in Sun Scraper Spire." I told him.
I didn't know until Luminous grabbed my arm and rolled over me to pin me down to prevent me from keep poking him.
"Am I light weight?" He asked.
"Light weight, my rear end." I teased.
"Oh really?" He asked.
"Yeah, it doesn't mean that I can't toss you off my back." I said while I pushed him off my back.
We both sat up and we took some time to calm down.
"You've been asking for a few days now, do you really want to know?" He asked.
"No shit Sherlock," I answered.
"Alright fine," He said. "Ok, a long, long, time ago there were five of us, a half-light half-dark entity, two dark entities, and two light entities. I was named Luminous, while the rest are Black Peril, Light Angel, Lunara, and Dark Hysteria."
"Who are they exactly?" I asked.
"My family," He answered. "Anyways, my mother was forced to be with my father, yet she already chose someone else, who she didn't say. My oldest sister Black Peril was like our father, whose desire is to rein terror of darkness for all eternity, while me and Lunara, my youngest sister, is like our mother, to protect the realms from darkness. My father was the reason that I have desire to end darkness, he's the reason why they're both gone, what he did was very unforgiving. I will have my revenge on him one day, and since then I had my terror of light, and I will eliminate anyone who stands in my way. When I attacked Nocturnal Lane all but two died, and one was my champion Light Shire and his sister who has darkness, Eclipsa."
"I'm friends with Angie, and her psycho form is named Eclipsa." I said.
"You don't understand, Eclipsa would hurt me and my followers when she ran away." He said.
"No, she was innocent, you went to hurt my friend's family, it's like this all over again, being friends with a murderer." I replied.
"You killed those people in that town I heard, you killed those innocent-." He said.
"No, you don't know what they did to me, I was five when I was started to be abused by my adoptive family, I didn't have no friends no one to keep me safe apart from Uncle Dan and Auntie Topanga, no freedom until I was sixteen when our sub was taking me on a fieldtrip which turns out that I was slowly meeting my destiny. Came into Ardonia to help them stop their war, then adopted Sendara first when I thought I found someone as a relationship partner, then adopted Jace and then my future mate died in his sleep." I said while I was tearing up "Transported to Paradise to help beings there from a corruption, and then being sent back to Earth thinking I was gonna lose everything. But I was wrong, I met Angie and the others, we welcomed Willow to my team since she was forced to bully me, and then we killed all those 'innocent' people. And here we are now, us being transported here because Eon and the Skylanders needs our help, and I still don't have all the answers to know where I came from, and there were multiple times when my adoptive parents send me away to be experimented and I escape multiple times because I'm scared of dying, I'm scared to losing everyone that I cared for, I'm scared of losing it all!"
The next thing I knew I was crying, I tucked my knees in and buried my face in them, I haven't cried in a while, but I knew this was a moment that I need it. I didn't know that Luminous crawled over to me and wrapped his arms around me, I looked up to see that he was hugging me. All the pressure, my stress, and me thinking that if I went back to earth that I would forget what we went through just stopped. We're both on opposite sides and he just feel safe, that I felt like that I'm going to be ok, when I'm around him I feel sane.
"This is strange, when I'm around my friends and non-human beings I just feel safe, even when I'm around you." I said after I started to calm down. "I mean safe and sane."
"I feel that way too, what did your future mate promise you before he died?" Luminous asked.
"He promised me that he'll help me find out about my truth." I answered.
Luminous wiped a tear away from my face.
"Look, I'll keep that promise too." He said.
I raised a brow at him.
"I'll continue his promise and I'll help you find out too." He added.
I smiled and curled up next to Luminous, and I decided to finally start to trust him.
"I guess you're not as bad as people think." I replied.
"Well, once they get a chance to get to know me, they might think differently." He said.
I rested my head and finally get some real rest after a long time and drifted off to sleep.
A/n I threw in a bit of ring of heroes in here from the past few chapters, Luminous's non-canon family, also my motivation sucked, and I had school offline so, I might not be doing much so bye until next time!
