Fredbear's Family Diner, 1994
The restaurant had finally closed up for the night, and the animatronics quietly remained in their positions. Bonnie had his guitar, Freddy had his microphone, and Chica had her cupcake. Foxy was in Pirate Cove, but he was out of order and stayed behind his curtains. His singing, however, could still be heard as it echoed within the pizzeria. It was two in the morning and Bonnie was the first to move, like he usually did when Mike had been the security guard prior. When the man finally completed his shifts, the animatronics had no need to awaken anymore, so...they remained in their assigned poses until the very next day.
Freddy and Chica hadn't moved at all tonight, but Bonnie was looking around the dining area, slowly turning his head. His facial features then saddened, and he lowered his head to stare at the floor. In fact, one could say his depressive gaze was an indication he had something on his mind.
Or quite possibly...
Someone.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, 1987
Bonnie was in "Parts & Service" with his friends, since the previous location had closed and they were now used for parts. All that remained of his face was his jaw, but Bonnie was still able to function if he wished to. He would also peek from the door to see the children and their replacements playing onstage. He despised his newer model, mainly because he didn't hold his guitar correctly, but nevertheless, both Bonnie's played the instrument the exact same.
Outside the room, the old animatronics could hear the stage music that'd activate the curtains. Bonnie heard kids shouting with glee, and could see adults talking to each other about...well...adult things. Then like every other day at Freddy's, the curtains opened to show the new animatronics greeting the kids and conversing with each other in a happy-go-lucky tone. Freddy, Chica, and Foxy heard this everyday with Bonnie, but they were used to it more than their purple friend. They didn't like their newer upgrades as much either, but as long as the children were happy and safe, they didn't seem to mind.
When Toy Bonnie began playing his guitar, a man entered the room with a little girl. She was about five years of age, lightly-tanned, and had long dark hair. The girl smiled at the man when he switched on the light, and she was escorted to the back corner of the room where he grinned back at her. The animatronics pretended to be powered off, and were actually watching the whole ordeal. Bonnie also happened to be more alert than ever.
What ticked the rabbit was when the man began frightening the child, and then proceeded to snatch her in his arms, covering her mouth as she tried to scream. Angry, the animatronics activated and Freddy caused the light to shut off. Thinking he'd been caught, the employee clutched onto the child even harder, and then proceeded to release his pocket knife. However, he was instantly met with giant hands from behind him. The man gasped, dropping the little girl before trying to fight whoever had grabbed hold of him.
Unfortunately though, they just were too strong.
When he was finally able to turn around and face his attacker, he was instantly met with Bonnie's glowing red eyes.
Chica and Freddy then stood alongside the rabbit, and Bonnie handed the man over to his friends to finish the job. When the human was out of his hands, Bonnie wasted no second to search for the child. He turned his head back and forth and stomped around in the dark room, determined to find the small girl.
She had scurried away and was now hiding behind one of the masks, a Chica mask to be precise, that was nearly as big as she was. The girl sniffled, peeking out from the eyeholes as she watched the floating pair of red eyes seeking her. Thinking she was being chased by monsters, the girl began to cry and buried her head into her knees.
After not knowing what to do next, she got up and ran to the door. However, she wasn't fast enough to reach it, as Bonnie had picked her up and held her to where his face was. The girl screamed, frightening the bunny enough for him to drop her. Suddenly, the doorknob creaked and the old animatronics quickly went back to their places before the door opened. Toy Bonnie then poked his head inside, robotically turning his head as he searched for the predator. However, his eyes slowly looked down and his mouth dropped when he saw that there was a little girl instead.
"What are you doing here little girl?" he asked before gesturing his thumb behind him. "The party's out there!"
She wiped her tears with her arm sleeve, then looked up at the blue rabbit. "This man tried to hurt me."
The bunny gasped and robotically took a step backwards, but he then leaned forward to reach for the child.
"It's alright. Freddy, Chica, and I will make sure you stay safe the entire party." he reassured her as he held her hand. They then proceeded to leave the room, with the robot letting the door close behind them.
Bonnie couldn't help but feel extremely upset. He'd hoped the child would have adored him, but that wretched newer model of his just had to come and be the hero. Bonnie wouldn't admit that he was jealous, but he did come to admire the child more than anything.
Angrily pouting in a sitting position, Bonnie decided to wait for the pizzeria to close to confront his fake counterpart.
After the staff noticed their co-worker's body on the ground, they placed his body in one of the back dumpsters. They also disinfected everything before closing up, and had a talk with the manager about the incident. At 2 AM, all the animatronics activated and strolled around the pizzeria, happily going about their business and enjoying each other's company.
Bonnie was the last to activate tonight, and Chica was the first to notice. She then couldn't help but check on him, and peek her head into the room.
"B-Bonnie?" Chica twitched as she slowly tilted her head, "Why are you not out with u-u-us?"
"Nothing C-Chica," Bonnie lied before proceeding to stand, "Just feeling u-u-unrepaired."
Foxy decided to see what was going on, and he poked his head from the door with Chica. He also was a bit concerned about his friend.
"Ahoy me matey? W-W-What be the problem?"
Bonnie silently stared at his friends, but his eyes then wandered over to Toy Bonnie talking to both Freddies in the background. Bonnie immediately rose and exited the room, remembering the little discussion he wanted to have. Stomping over to the three animatronics, Bonnie stopped a few inches away and stared. Freddy then brightened and nearly raised his hands in the air. "B-B-Bonnie!"
Toy Bonnie and Toy Freddy didn't say anything but stare, and Bonnie made sure to return the exact same expression. Freddy noticed the tension, and decided to pat his Toy counterpart's shoulder. "Let's leave these two to talk. W-Why don't you t-t-tell me about the kids!"
"Sure!" Toy Freddy replied as the two bears began walking to the kitchen. Successfully, this now left the two rabbit animatronics alone with each other.
Which was exactly what Bonnie had hoped for.
"So…." Bonnie began as Toy Bonnie turned to face him, "Meet any special k-kids lately?"
"Why yes!" Toy Bonnie replied happily, "A little girl yesterday!"
Bonnie grumbled rather unhappily. Of course he was gonna jump right into it. "I think she was my fan. Not yours."
Toy Bonnie didn't say anything but laugh goofily. "Don't be silly, Bonnie! You've been down for years! It's obvious she admires me! Besides, she probably wasn't around when you were the guitarist!"
"Your upgrades don't make it any b-b-better."
If Toy Bonnie was able to move his face, he'd be glaring daggers. But since he was created with better upgrades than his older counterpart, Toy Bonnie's emotions were kept at bay.
Yet, right now, he was slightly offended by Bonnie's words.
"Well…at least a rabbit whose in shape sets better examples for the kids." he goofily replied.
Bonnie still had some minor glitches in his system, and his anger and violent acts were something that still haven't been properly fixed. He didn't like the tone his counterpart was using, and he also didn't approve of the insult. Bonnie took a threatening stomp forward, and the two rabbits appeared ready to fight. Before they could brawl, they were luckily stopped when both Chica's stepped in front of the two. Toy Chica was in front of Toy Bonnie, and Chica in front of Bonnie.
"No fighting inside of F-Freddy's!" Chica lectured, with her toy counterpart repeating the same. Both rabbits then began to twitch a little, but relaxed as both chickens stared at them disapprovingly.
Bonnie took another dirty look at his counterpart before stomping away.
Fredbear's Family Diner, present day
It was 9 AM, and the diner opened for employees to start preparing the restaurant for another happy day. The staff began cleaning, and the chefs powered their machines as they got their equipment ready. Behind the curtains were the three main animatronics, pleased to start another show. Bonnie, however, wasn't as thrilled as his companions were, and he wouldn't be until he met his favorite human again. He's been wishing for her return every single day, and he wasn't ever going to forget her because of it.
After about an hour, the diner opened to the public. Families walked in with their children and started buying pizzas and merchandise. After they were let into the dining room, kids would run and claim tables, with their parents slowly following behind. Bonnie could hear all the ruckus on the other side of the curtains, but he looked down at the floor, knowing this was just another regular day. Freddy and Chica were aware of his problem, and the bear quickly turned his body halfway to speak to him.
"Oh, Bonnie." Freddy spoke solemnly. "Don't lose hope. You never know. She might come."
"Yeah!" Chica chipped in, leaning forward to also stare at the rabbit. "I just know that pizza was always her favorite!"
"I appreciate you guys trying to cheer me up," Bonnie replied as he continued to stare at the ground, "But you've told me that for over twenty years."
"We have?" Chica asked.
Bonnie nodded, and his friends turned to each other before turning back to him. Before Freddy could mention anything else, one of the employees was heard grabbing a microphone to begin the show.
"Hey everybody! Thanks for coming to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza! Are you kids ready to see Freddy?"
All the children shouted excitedly, but they quieted when the young man began talking again.
"Then, can you help me call Freddy to begin the show?"
The children answered with glee.
"Okay, on the count of three, you shout Freddy! Okay? One...two...three!"
"Freddy!" The children hollered towards the curtains.
Freddy and Chica looked at each other happily, while Bonnie just sighed and sadly held his guitar.
"Uh oh!" the staff member gasped before looking back at the curtains. "I don't think he heard us! Louder, kids, louder!"
One...
Two...
Three!
"FREDDY!"
Music then erupted from the speakers, and the curtains opened to reveal the Fazbear band. Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie immediately activated to life, but only under their respected programming.
"Hey everyone!" Freddy greeted.
"Hello boys and girls!" Chica chiped.
"Hi everybody!" Bonnie laughed.
"Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza!"
"I'm Chica! Let's eat!"
"And I'm your best friend Bonnie Bunny!"
"And I'm Freddy Fazbear!" Freddy chuckled as his eyes glanced around.
"Is everybody having a good time?" Bonnie asked.
"I know I am! And I could use some more pizza!" Chica replied. She then couldn't help but stare at a family's gigantic pepperoni pizza sitting on the middle of their table, halfway eaten.
"There's plenty of delicious pizza when you're at Freddy's, Chica!" Freddy responded.
"You can't live off pizza all the time Freddy." Bonnie informed the bear.
The other two animatronics gasped in alarm before Chica directed her attention to the children again.
"When you're eating kids, remember to have plenty of green vegetables."
"And all you little bunnies need to have your carrots."
"Health is important if you want to live!" Freddy giggled.
"Yes! So, have a fun and happy time at..." Bonnie laughed.
"Freddy Fazbear's Pizza!" All three animatronics finished before Freddy chuckled in response.
Meanwhile, the front doors opened with an adult couple stepping inside. The woman wore a black coat, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. Her lover carried a dark-brown leather coat, with light jeans and black shoes. The animatronics couldn't help but quickly glance over, wondering why there weren't children with them, but they needed to focus on their show.
As the couple purchased a pizza at the register, the woman couldn't help but stare at the animatronics. She smiled as she and her fiancée waited for an employee to give them the pass.
"Thanks again for bringing me, Jack." she smiled warmly before following him to the table they were assigned. "I haven't been in years."
"Yeah..." Jack replied, trying to focus on both walking and texting. "Don't mention it baby."
They sat down in a booth, and the woman stared over at the animatronics with admiration. As Bonnie kept operating his guitar, he unintentionally glanced over at their booth before his eyes landed on the woman watching them play. Upon getting a good look at this human, Bonnie's mouth dropped open and he stopped playing, freezing completely.
Everyone noticed Bonnie's sudden error immediately, with some of the kids seeming confused and disappointed. The staff members, who'd been clapping along with the music, quickly proceeded to stop the show. The woman at the booth gasped when she noticed Bonnie's eyes locked on her, and her fiancèe looked up from his phone to see what was happening.
"What's going on?" Jack asked.
"Bonnie..." Evelynne whispered to herself.
"Evelynne?" Bonnie thought.
