Sorry for the delay. I was originally going to write the entire Diagon Alley chapter, but that would've been WAY too long. This will cover The Leaky Cauldron part and everything before it, the next chapter will cover the first meeting with Draco with the before and after also included. The last part will be set in the wand shop. I think this works a lot better. Hope this is enough for you. Enjoy!

Nicole wanted to wake up late, but maybe not. It wasn't a dream. It made too much sense. But of course, she didn't know for sure. Maybe it just made sense because in dreams you think stuff make sense then you wake up and realize they don't. But she doubted it.

"It was a dream," she heard Harry tell himself. "I dreamed a giant called Hagrid came to tell me and Nicole we're going to a school for witches and wizards. When I wake up, I will be back in my room."

Yup, it wasn't a dream. Two people couldn't have the same dream, right? Although she couldn't resist playing a little trick on her brother. "Harry, stop sleeptalking! The Dursleys will hear!"

Nicole suddenly heard a loud tapping noise. She saw a bird tapping on the window, but she knew what Harry thought.

"Now you've done it!" she said. "I'm getting up."

"Fine," Harry said, as they both sat up, Harry looked around, as the hut was full of sunlight, and saw Hagrid asleep on the sofa, and then the owl tapping on the window. He then looked at Nicole sternly.

"What? You would've done the same thing!" Nicole said. He looked so happy. Nicole was too - they could both finally get out of this life. Nothing could be worse. They could even make friends, if that were possible. Harry went over to the window and opened it. The owl flew in and started attacking Hagrid's raggedy coat.

"What is he doing?" Nicole asked.

"Don't do that," Harry demanded, but the owl continued.

"Hagrid!" Nicole said. "The owl is-"

"Pay him."

"What?" Harry said.

"Why?" Nicole asked, confused.

"He wants payin' for deliverin' the paper," Hagrid said.

"Seriously?" Nicole answered, as her and Harry started to look through Hagrid's coat, which was hard because of how many pockets they are. And they were all filled with slug pellets, balls of string, and keys. A lot of keys. Finally, Nicole found a handful of strange-looking coins.

"Give him five knuts," Hagrid said.

The two looked at him.

"The little bronze ones," he said, as Nicole gave the owl the coins in a small leather pouch in his leg. Then he flew off through the open window.

Hagrid yawned loudly, sat up and stretched. "Best be off, guys, lots ter do today, gotta get ter London an' by all yer stuff fer school."

Harry looked at the coins. Nicole was about to follow Hagrid, when Harry spoke up. "Um, Hagrid - I haven't got any money. And you heard Uncle Vernon last night, he won't pay for me to go and learn magic."

Nicole thought for a second. "Harry's right. And even if we did, it wouldn't be this weird wizard and witch currency, would it?"

"Don't worry about that," Hagrid said. "Do you think your parents never left you with anything?"

"Well, if their house was destroyed..." Harry said.

"They didn' keep their gold in the house boy," Hagrid said. "Nah, first stop fer us is Gringott's. Wizards' bank. Have a sausage, they're not bad cold. And I wouldn' say no ter a piece o' your birthday cake either."

"Wizards and witches have banks?" Harry questioned.

"I'm surprise they need money at all," Nicole said. "Can't they just make everything with magic?"

"Not always, Nicole," Hagrid said. "If it were that easy, then everyone will be getting away with everything. The goblins wouldn't let it."

"Goblins?!" questioned Harry.

"Yeah, so you'd be mad ter try an' rob it, I'll tell you that," Hagrid said. "Never mess with goblins, Harry, or you either, NIcole. Gringotts is the safest place fer anything yer want ter keep safe, except maybe Hogwarts. As a matter o' fact, I gotta visit Gringotts anyway. Fer Dumbledore. Hogwarts business. He usually gets me to do important stuff fer him. Fetchin' you, gettin' things from Gringotts, he knows he can trust me, see. Got everythin'? Come on then."

The twins followed Hagrid out onto the rock. The boat Vernon had hired was still there, with a lot of water at the bottom after the storm. There was no other boat there, so Nicole assumed that Hagrid used magic to get there. Well, she assumed it anyway, but now it was basically confirmed.

"How did you get here?" Harry asked.

"Flew," Nicole said.

"FLEW?!" Harry exclaimed.

"Do you fly everywhere?" Nicole asked.

"Not at all," Hagrid said. "It was jus' easier this way. We might actually travel back on this. Not s'pposed ter use magic now I've got yeh two."

The three settled down onto the boat, as Nicole went to pick up a paddle, until Hagrid said, "Seems a shame ter row, though. If I was to speed things up a bit, would you mind not mentionin' it at Hogwarts?"

"Of course not," Harry said.

"You can trust us," Nicole confirmed. Hagrid pulled out the pink umbrella again, tapped it twice on the side of the boat, and then they sped off toward land.

"Why would you be mad to rob Gringotts?" Harry asked, presumably to start a conversation.

"Yeah, do they put up a magic barrier or something?" Nicole expanded.

"Something like that, there's spells, enchantments," Hagrid said. "They say there's dragons guarding the high-security vaults. And then yeh gotta find yer way - Gringotts is hundreds of miles under London, see. Deep under the Underground. Yeh'd die of hunger if you get out, even if you did manage to get yer hands on summat."

Nicole had a lot more questions to ask, and she was sure Harry did too, even though Hagrid was holding The Daily Prophet newspaper, and Vernon always told the twins never to interrupt, so she didn't, because she didn't want to be rude. She just thought about this. She's a witch, that's better than being a regular person. It means she would have power over the people she knows. It'll be fun.

"Ministry o' Magic messing up things as usual," Hagrid complained as he was reading.

"There's a Ministry of Magic?" Harry questioned.

"I thought they would know better than to have a stupid government," Nicole said. Seems the Wizarding World isn't really that good.

"Of course there is," Hagrid said. "They wanted Dumbledore fer minister. But o' course he'll never leave Hogwarts, so old Cornelius Fudge got the job. Bungler if ever there was one. So he pelts Dumbledore with owls every morning, asking for advice."

"Sounds like an ordinary politician," Nicole commented. "What does he actually do?"

"Well, their main job is to keep it from the muggles that there's still witches an' wizards up an' down the country,"

"Why?" Harry asked.

"Geez, Harry, everyone'd be wanting magic solutions to their problems," Hagrid said. "Nah, we're best left alone."

"Yeah, it seems obvious," Nicole said. "Wizards and witches don't want people taking advantage of their abilities, I certainly wouldn't."

"That's very correct, Nicole," Hagrid confirmed.

Just then, the boat bumped gently into the harbor wall. Hagrid folded up his newspaper, and they climbed up the stone steps onto the street. Passers by stared a lot at Hagrid as they walked through the little town into the station. To be honest with herself, Nicole would be doing the same thing. Not only was Hagrid twice as tall as anyone else, he was pointing at things like parking meters and saying "See that, Harry? Things these muggles dream up, eh?"

"Hagrid," said Nicole. "So did you mean before, are dragons really in Gringotts? Or is it a myth?"

"It's just something they say, Nicole," Hagrid said. "Crikey, I'd like a dragon."

"You'd like one?" Harry said.

"Ever since I was a kid," Hagrid confirmed.

They reached the station, as there was a train to London in five minutes. The twins paid for the tickets because Hagrid didn't understand 'muggle money'. People stared more than ever on the train. Hagrid took up two seats, and sat knitting what looked like a weird circus-tent shaped thing. This giant was truly peculiar.

"Still got yer letter, you two?" he asked.

Harry took the envelope out of his pocket.

"Glad you had that," Nicole said.

"Good," Hagrid said. "There should be a list in there of everything yeh need."

Harry pulled out a second piece of paper neither him nor Nicole noticed the day before. It had a list of all the uniform, equipment and books the twins needed to buy for their first year at school. Nicole wondered if they could buy every single bit of it in London.

"Can we buy all this in London?" Harry asked.

"If yeh know where ter go," Hagrid confirmed.

The twins had never been to London before. Hagrid sounded like he knew where he was going, but judging by his behaviour, he didn't know how. Or rather he did, it was just a magic way he couldn't use for some reason or another. He kept getting stuck and complaining about regular everyday things. He was a weird guy, but he's from a different world, you couldn't exactly blame him.

"I don't know how the Muggles handle without magic," Hagrid said, as they climbed a broken-down escalator to a road filled with shops.

Hagrid was so huge that he parted the crowd easily; all the twins had to do was to stay close to him. They passed lots of ordinary stores, none of them looked like they would sell a magic wand. Maybe they're just cleverly disguised. Because this just looked like an ordinary street full of ordinary people. But how would they disguise them? Wouldn't muggles go into a book shop thinking it's a book shop, and it actually sell broomsticks? Weird.

"This is it," said Hagrid, stopping. "The Leaky Cauldron. It's a famous place."

It was a tiny, dirty-looking pub. If Hagrid hadn't had pointed it out, neither of the twins would've noticed it was there. The people walking by didn't glance at it. Their eyes slid from the two shops on the side.

"Hey," Nicole said to Harry. "Do you think we're the only ones who can see this thing?"

"Yer right, Nicole," Hagrid said, butting in. "That's the thing 'bout wizard places. They're very well-hidden."

"Wow," Harry & Nicole said at once, as they all went in.

For a famous place, it was quite dark and shabby. A few old women were sitting in a corner, drinking tiny glasses of sherry. A little man in a top hat was talking to the old bartender. Everyone seemed to know Hagrid; they waved and smiled at him, and the bartender reached for the glass and said, "The usual, Hagrid?"

"Can't, Tom, I'm on Hogwarts business," Hagrid said, putting his hand on Harry's shoulder, while Nicole stood next to him.

"Good lord," said the bartender, looking at Harry. "Is this - can this be-"

The Leaky Cauldron had suddenly gone completely still and silent.

"Bless my soul," said the bartender. "Harry Potter... what an honour."

Another guy came over and said, "Welcome back, Mr. Potter, welcome back."

Everyone was praising Harry, looking at him, Harry looked like he felt weird. The next second, there was a great scraping of chairs, and the next moment, everyone wanted to shake hands with Harry.

"Doris Crockford, Mr. Potter. Can't believe I'm meeting you at last!"

"So proud, Mr. Potter, I'm just so proud."

"Always wanted to shake your hand - I'm all of a flutter."

Nicole felt uneasy. No one noticed her. Everyone was paying attention to Harry. It was like she wasn't even there. If her parents, her brother were famous, surely they had to know there was someone else. But no one even took a glance at her.

"Delighted, Mr. Potter, just can't tell you," said another one, this one looking familiar. "Diggle's the name. Dedalus Diggle."

"I've seen you before!" Harry said, looking shocked. "You bowed to me once in a shop!"

"He remembers!" cried Dedalus Diggle. "Did you hear that? He remembers me!"

Nicole found that incredibly weird at the time. But now it didn't even happen. She thought she and Harry had the same life, but now it felt like they were so different. She didn't want to be jealous of her twin brother who she loved dearly, but she knew what she was feeling...

"Wait!" Harry said, who was noticing Nicole's face expressions. "Surely some of you must remember my twin sister Nicole."

Nicole came forward, and everyone went silent.

"You have a sister?!"

"I didn't know Harry Potter had a sister."

"This is news! I have to write this down!"

A few people went to shake Nicole's hand, but much more people were focused on Harry. Harry looked like he didn't just dislike the attention, but he felt bad that he was getting it and not Nicole. Nicole felt like Harry was the better twin.

A pale young man came forward, very nervously. One of his eyes twitching.

"Professor Quirrell!" Hagrid said. "Harry, Nicole, Professor Quirrell will be one of your teachers at Hogwarts."

"P-P-Potter," Quirrell said. "C-can't tell you how p-pleased I am to meet you."

He shook Harry's hand, and even though Harry had pointed it out, a hogwarts professor still didn't notice she was there.

"Nicole is going to be a student at Hogwarts too," Harry said to him.

"Oh, of course," Quirrell said. "Excited to s-see you at Hogwarts, Miss Potter."

He didn't sound genuine. At all.

"What magic do you teach?" Nicole asked, finally managing to speak.

"D-Defense Against the Dark Arts," Quirrell said. "N-not that you need it, P-P-Potter." He laughed nervously, but he was obviously referring to Harry again. "You'll be g-getting all your equipment, I suppose. I've got to p-pick up a n-new book on vampires m-myself."

The others didn't want Quirrell to keep Harry to himself, as they all still continued to crowd round him like obsessed fans. Nicole hated feeling like this. Was she jealous of Harry or just uncomfortable? She couldn't tell.

"Must get on, guys," Hagrid said. "Lots ter by."

The three of them walked out onto the street, as they saw everyone continued to stare at Harry.

"So glad we got out of there," Nicole said, thinking out loud.

"I know," Harry agreed. "Everyone acted really happy towards me, but not that much."

"I think yer should show a bit more respect," Hagrid said. "I told yer Harry was famous and you were not. Everyone wanted to meet you and be nice to yer."

"That doesn't give them the right to treat Nicole like a brick wall!"

"Enough jibber-jabbing," Hagrid said. "We should go. Lots ter buy."

"Of course," Nicole said, feeling a little better now Harry agreed. "We have to get on."

The brick he touched quivered - it wriggled - in the middle, a small hole appeared - it grew wider and wider - a second later they were facing an archway large enough even for Hagrid, an archway onto a cobbled street that twisted and turned out of sight.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley," Hagrid said, as the three of them entered.

I thought that was a nice way to end. To be honest, this chapter was really dull to write until we actually got inside the Leaky Cauldron. Please tell me what you think!
