And here's another chapter which I didn't intend to be short, but is. Enjoy!

Nicole slept in. Well, she was going to, wasn't she? She stayed up for a pretty long time last night. She wasn't caught, obviously, but it was still a stupid thing to do.

Why didn't she see this coming.

It wasn't obvious. Draco would either try to kill Harry or get him expelled. Two options, and she didn't even account for the second one, but when she thought about it for longer, it was the least risky option, right?

"Nicole, get up!" she heard Lily say. "Why are you so tired?"

"I couldn't sleep," Nicole half lied. "I'll get up."

It seemed like the dorm was basically empty now. Pansy and her two minions Millicent and Tracy had gotten off somewhere, while Daphne was just getting dressed. Sophie was sitting on her bed, looking like she was in her usual sour mood.

First thing she was going to do was confront Draco. Her brother could be off back to the Dursleys by now. And he's going to enjoy that. She couldn't let him go without her, but it might be too late.

Nicole got dressed quickly, as it was only an hour before breakfast. She had to talk to Draco quickly.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" asked Lily.

"A lot of reasons," said Nicole. "Mostly because it's only an hour before breakfast and I want to wake myself up. Second, I need to get out of here."

"What do you mean?" Lily asked.

"I need to do something!" exclaimed Nicole. "Somehow sneak onto the train before Harry gets on it."

"What are you talking about?"

"Draco challenged Harry to a duel at midnight," explained Nicole. "Harry took the bait, mainly because Ron encouraged him, but getting back to it, Draco never went through with it! I stayed up in the common room until midnight and he never left his dorm. Harry was tricked. And now he's going to be expelled."

"You don't know that," said Sophie, coming over. "Harry's famous. There's no way anyone of the teachers would ever try to expel him."

"Never thought I'd say this," Lily said. "But Sophie's right. Harry Potter gets expelled after his first month, it would certainly be an interesting, but unbelievable tale.

"My brother never wanted to be famous!" asked Nicole. "He's basically getting treated the opposite of what he was before, while I'm getting treated like a random person like you two."

"Don't see what's so bad about that," said Sophie. "I would definitely want to be completely famous if I could."

"Well, you're obviously a different person with a different life," Nicole said.

Just then, Pansy walked through the door.

"Are you three coming?" Pansy asked. "We've got to get to breakfast soon."

"Punctuality is not always important," said Sophie. "With that said, I will be there."

Pansy left, grunting in disbelief.

"We should go," said Lily. "Look, you should confront Draco. It's the way."

"I think she should forget it," said Sophie. "Don't want to start fights here. It's not healthy. Unless Harry actually gets expelled, no action needs to be taken."

"Well, I don't care," said Nicole. "I'm going to confront him."

As soon as they got out, they bumped into Draco, to Nicole's delight. He was with Crabbe and Goyle, but Nicole didn't care. He seemed proud of himself, while still a little unsure on whether the plan had worked or not.

"Hello Draco," said Nicole.

"No time to talk, Potter," Draco said. "Got to get to breakfast."

"No, you have to hear this!" Nicole said. "You tricked my brother into going to a non-existent duel!" She said it so loud the whole common room could hear.

"How the bloody hell do you know about the duel?" Draco asked.

"I can overhear things," said Nicole. "Especially when it has to do with my own family!"

"Why do you care?" asked Draco. "I for one do not judge others by their family members. I was willing to give you a chance when you were sorted into Slytherin, but you hanging about with Moon dampened it already! But still, I didn't have a problem with you. But I understand you. If it were me there, I might've defended my sibling too. But that's one of the benefits of me being an only child."

"The second you had a problem with my brother, you had a problem with me!" Nicole continued. "Me and my brother are basically the same person."

Nicole said this because this is what she felt. They had always been a double act, since they were born really. Since they started school with Dudley. Since they continued to get bullied throughout their life. This was stopping now, but she still had those instincts in her.

"What?" Draco started laughing hard, and a few seconds later, Crabbe and Goyle started joining in with him. "You and your scumbag brother are not similar in the slightest. You and him were acting in completely different ways on our first meeting and our second, and then you both get sorted into not just different houses, but Gryffindor and Slytherin? The only reason you don't realize the severity of that is because you grew up in a muggle family not even knowing about Hogwarts until they got your letter!"

He walked out, Crabbe and Goyle following him, as Nicole reflected on what he had just said. Was Nicole going too far in thinking that her and Harry were the same person? They weren't exactly, they were differences between them, but they have always been a double act. They were the outcast kids, the ones who everyone made fun of. Was it just because of that? That their life gave off the illusion that they're the same person, but they were really quite different? Right now, Nicole didn't know.

"Come on," Lily said to her, as Nicole actually started crying. "Let's go to breakfast."

But as soon as they got to The Great Hall to have their meal, Nicole saw Harry. Her brother was still at Hogwarts.

And his stupid friend. But still. Nicole ran over to him and hugged him.

"Oh my god, Harry!" she said. "You're okay!"

"We went to the 'duel', but we weren't caught somehow," said Harry. "In fact, we found…"

"Don't tell her," said Ron. "She's a Slytherin. We can't trust her." Nicole scoffed. "Plus we're out in the open. Someone could easily overhear."

"Never mind!" Nicole said. "I'm just glad you're okay!"

Nicole walked away onto the Slytherin table, because while she wanted to celebrate forever, she was hungry.

"See," said Lily. "I told you, nothing to worry about."

"He only got through it because he's famous," said Sophie. "Not that he should've been expelled, just that's the reason he is."

"It isn't," Nicole said. "He wasn't even caught."

"Well, that's amazing then," said Lily.

"Highly unrealistic," said Sophie. "But it's still good he's okay."

"I am honestly back to a really good mood right now," said Nicole.

"Not so fast," said Sophie. "Draco could easily be planning something else."

"Can you keep your business to yourself?" Lily said, aggressively.

"No, she's right," said Nicole. "Draco could easily be planning something else. I just need to go and check."

"Guess you got your wish, Potter," said Draco, when Nicole went over to where he was sitting. "I know why you're here, and don't worry, your brother's safe for now."

"That's probably a lie," said Nicole, instantly suspicious.

"Possibly not," said Sophie. "He might as well give up. Nothing left for him to do."

"Exactly what she said," said Draco.

"Then you're a coward," Nicole replied.

"I'm just being logical," said Draco. "I'll just wait for an opportunity, now is not the time. He'd be expecting it. And I'm okay with him staying for a few days or weeks before I strike."

"Well I'm going to make sure that never happens."

"Good luck," said Draco. "Or I'll challenge you to a duel."

Nicole was glad Draco's plan failed, but she was still wondering if what he said was true. It might very well be, but it's early days, she'd just have to find out.
