Hi! Sorry it's been so long since the last update. I've had a lot to do and not much time to write. So here's a Halloween chapter in the middle of November. Sorry.
The next few weeks got a little better. Nicole and Draco tried their best to keep their distance, when they could, but it was unavoidable, since they spent every class together. They ignored each other though, as Nicole spent most of her time with Lily.
This didn't stop the commotion in the girl's dorm. Sophie continued to be her cynical self, no one was sure if she was getting worse or better. Lily and Pansy also wouldn't stop arguing.
And Draco just couldn't get away from Harry. One time, Nicole took a gift that Harry opened, and tried to take it. She wasn't there to see it, but it happened. He would also laugh at him in Potions all the time.
But still, Nicole enjoyed the lessons, and this was still the best two months of her and Harry's life, even though they've been seperated for most of it.
Today was Halloween, a day the twins had never liked. The Dursleys had always taken Dudley out trick-or-treating and left the two with Mrs. Figg. Dudley would then come back with more candy than he can eat. He ate it all anyway. In one night, usually before Harry and Nicole even got home.
Why are they even celebrating these holidays anyway? Don't wizards have their own holidays? Why would they celebrate Halloween and Christmas? What would be the point?
It was 6am, as Nicole heard a sound.
"Come on, girls wake up," Sophie Roper said, wearing a stupid mask, and wait, was she actually happy?
"It's 6am, Sophie!" Pansy exclaimed, angrily. "It's too early."
"Well, that's Halloween for you," Sophie said. "Always waking you up with a scare."
"That's not how I've thought of it," Pansy said.
"What have you thought of it?" Sophie asked.
"That it's a dumb holiday," Pansy said. "Why do we celebrate a holiday which was literally made to make fun of witches?"
"Come on, Pansy," Lily said. "Do you actually believe stuff like that? That is a very clear myth."
"Still, it's really dumb," Pansy said. "I just want to act like this is a regular day. Okay?"
"Suit yourself," said Sophie, cheerfully. "But I myself, am going to have a ball."
"She is awfully cheerful today," Lily whispered to Nicole, as Nicole agreed back.

"Today you will turn a piece of paper into cardboard," said Professor McGonagall during the first lesson.
Nicole sighed. These Transfiguration lessons were a very mixed bag. Right now, it was super boring.
Surprisingly, Sophie did it very quickly and enthusiastically. "Well done, Miss Roper." McGonagall was extremely strict, but due to what Harry told her, she didn't have a bias against Slytherins.
Nicole did awful.
When it was done, Draco went on a rant.
"Now wasn't that the worst lesson of our lives?" he joked.
"I liked it," said Sophie.
"You never like things!" Lily said, trying to make sense of it all.
"You don't actually know much about me, Lily," Sophie said.
Lily couldn't say she was wrong.
That day continued ridiculously, as Sophie made absolutely no cynical comments, and was just happy the whole time. It was... weird.
They then walked into The Great Hall, as there were lots of halloween decorations everywhere. A thousand live bats fluttered from the walls and ceiling and even more swooped over the tables in low black clouds, making all the pumpkin candles stutter.
This only made Sophie's mood even more cheerful.
The feast appeared on golden plates, as it had at the start-of-term banquet.
"Come on," Sophie said, running in. "Let's eat. The bats here seem nice."
"True," said Lily.
"This food better be good," Pansy insisted. "It would be the only good thing about this day."
The girls were all about to help themselves as Professor Quirrell came sprinting through the hall, looking terrified. Everyone stared as he went up to Dumbledore's chair, and then he gasped "Troll - in the dungeons - thought you ought to know!"
He then fainted considerably.
"Prefects," Dumbledore said. "Lead your houses back to their dormotories immediately!"
Joseph Garlucy, a Slytherin prefect, led the first and second years into the common room.
"A troll? Great! Something just had to spoil this," said Lily.
"Are you kidding?" said Sophie, still cheerful. "It's Halloween, this has got to be planned."
"The Hogwarts staff wouldn't let a troll in," Lily said.
"Wouldn't put it past them," Draco said in the crowd. "Tricking everyone out. Seems exactly like them."
"You've really gone too far now, Draco," said Lily.
"Suit yourselves," said Sophie. "I'm going to look for it. It'll be a blast!"
"What?" Nicole quickly gasped. And before they could say anything, she left.
"She's going to get herself killed," said Draco. "She should probably know that."
When the line had died down and Draco had gone away, Nicole and Lily ran and tried to make sure that no one saw them.
"Where the hell is she?" said Nicole.
"I don't know," said Lily. "It's Sophie, probably went to a random place in her Halloween spirit."
They had no idea where to find her. They walked around random corridors, no sign of her. Eventually, they heard a voice from Professor Snape.
"Miss Potter, Miss Moon," he said, a little sternly. "What are you doing outside of your dorms?"
"Sophie Roper," said Nicole. "She ran off. She's been too happy today. Especially for her."
"We're sorry, Professor," Lily said.
"Miss Roper is fine," said Professor Snape. "I found her in The Great Hall just before the troll was found. Now, I am obliged to take two points off Slytherin at least, but I already did that with her."
"We'll go back to our common room now," said Nicole.
"Don't make me see you here again," Snape said.

They got to the dorm for the night, and Sophie was already there.
"So you're going to be back to normal tomorrow, right?" they heard Pansy said.
"I'm back to normal now," Sophie said, in her old cynical voice that everyone was used to.
"Hey," Lily said. "Snape's bias for Slytherins saved us from detention."
"Same," Sophie said. "Only lost two points. Thank you for coming to rescue me I guess."
"You're welcome," Nicole said.
"You guys aren't bad," Sophie said, "I just tricked myself into thinking you were."
So, what do you think? I would love to hear some feedback about this chapter and the story in general.
