Miranda sat in her home office going over invoices from the sex toy manufacturers that manufacture the Trail Blazer opening her last checks.

She couldn't focus because all she could do was think about Ben. It had been a week since they had been back home but they hadn't seen each other because she had Tuck this week and Ben was super busy with work.

As if he knew she was think about him, her phone rung and it was Ben FaceTiming her. She quickly answered and smiled when she saw his face.

"There is the pretty lady with that beautiful smile," Ben said making Miranda blushed.

Miranda felt herself getting aroused as if Ben had some type of control over her body, she craved him so much.

"Hey handsome, I miss you so much," Miranda said with a pouting face.

"I miss you too beautiful. Listen I'm going to be off work on Friday so I want to come see you," Ben expressed.

"I can come in the morning and bring breakfast or we can go out and get breakfast. Just anyway I can be near you because this week being without you has felt like torture," Ben confessed.

Ben confessing how he felt made Miranda's heart flutter.

"Hmm okay, Friday morning after I take Tuck to school we can spend the day together," Miranda said smiling.

"Okay, as soon as I get off work that morning, I'm coming to you," Ben said in a sexy voice.

"Uhhh Ben don't do that especially since I can't have you right now," Miranda whined.

"Okay, okay...I will see you in person in two days," Ben stated as he blew a kiss and hung up the phone.

Miranda woke up super excited that she jumped up and decided to make Tuck breakfast before she took him to school.

Tuck was 13 years old and getting to the point of being set in his ways so she was nervous for when the time came that him and Ben would meet.

Ben already started asking when could he meet Tuck and he seemed to already have their life planned and he talked about Tuck as if he'd already met him.

Miranda thought that it was sweet that the moment they decided to be together in such a short period of time that Ben already wants to treat Tuck as his but she was still nervous.

As Miranda fixed breakfast she heard her son moving around then coming down the stairs.

"Good morning my boy," Miranda said sweetly.

"What! You're already dressed and it's still early," Miranda exclaimed.

"Good morning mom, yeah I decided not to wait around and I smelled that you were cooking," Tuck grinned.

After sitting Tuck's plate in front of him, Miranda sat down beside him with a cup of coffee.

"Mom, are you not going to eat with me?" Tuck asked looking into her face.

Miranda smiled at how sweet her boy is, "no I'm going to breakfast with someone after I drop you off at school so I'm just going to have coffee."

When Tuck was done with breakfast he put the dishes in the dish washer and went back up stairs to brush his teeth and get his book bag.

Miranda smiled as she drove her son to school and he noticed. "Mom are you okay, your smiling...a lot," Tuck said giggling at the expression on Miranda's face.

"Oh I'm just thinking about something, it's nothing sweet boy," Miranda said.

"Mom you have to stop calling me sweet boy, I'm getting too old for that," Tuck stated.

"But you are my sweet boy and I don't care how old you get you will always be my sweet boy. And when you grow up you will be my sweet man son," Miranda said laughing and rubbing her son's head."

Tuck just looked at his mom and shook his head. They pulled up to his school and before he got out Tuck leaned over and gave Miranda a kiss on the cheek.

"Have a great day at school...my sweet boy," Miranda said grinning.

Getting back home, Miranda jumped in the shower and once she got out she stood in her closet trying to figure out what to wear.

Ben had text her the time he would be arriving last night so she only had an hour to dress, do her makeup and fix her hair.

Miranda decided on black dress pants and a hot pink wrap blouse. To feel a little more casual, she decided to wear sandals. Once her outfit was picked she did her makeup and hair.

Just as she finished dressing and looked herself over in the mirror the door bell rang.

Butterflies formed in her stomach thinking about Ben being at the door as she walked to the front of her house.

Miranda opened the door slowly and Ben stood there with the biggest smile on his face.

"Good morning Miranda Bailey," Ben said

"Good morning Ben Warren," Miranda replied.

Quickly moving out of his way, Ben stepped inside and wrapped his arms around her waist she around his neck. They just looked at each other for a moment.

"Kiss me," Miranda commanded sweetly and Ben obeyed.

Ben captured her lips into his and sucked on her bottom lips gently. Alternating his kisses from her bottom and top lip and Miranda did the same.

Ben pulled back from their kissing, "I've missed you so much. I missed your kisses, your face, this body...all of you," Ben said pecking her on the lips once more.

"I missed you so much too, okay let's go because I'm getting hungry," Miranda said as they walked out the door.

They decided after breakfast to go check out the space needle. Miranda couldn't believe that in all her years of living in Seattle she had never visited the space needle.

Ben could tell that by the look of excitement on her face as they watched the revolving glass floor.

"This weirdly reminds me of my favorite movie series Star Wars," Miranda said beaming.

"Maybe we can have a Star Wars marathon soon," Ben suggested wrapping his arms around Miranda.

Ben and Miranda continued to enjoy the space needle and when their exploring was done they decided to just walk around downtown Seattle.

Ben felt like he was in a beautiful daze. He was walking and holding hands with this beautiful woman who he'd fallen in love with in a matter of days.

As they walked they took turns sharing their life with each other.

"As a kid when I wasn't at school I would spend my time sitting in a tree reading a book until I heard my mom calling me to come inside before the street lights came on."

"I know I'm in my 40s but it would be amazing to have a tree house," Miranda stated.

Miranda checked the time on her phone and it was 2:30pm.

"Ben I have to be at Tuck's school to pick him up by 3:15pm. I'm not going to have time to go home and get my car," Miranda said.

"Well if you don't mind I can take you. I know it's not the way you want me to meet Tuck but we don't have to say we're in love and together yet," Ben replied.

"Okay," Miranda agreed softly.

When they got to the school Miranda got out the car and waited so that Tuck would see her when he came out of the school.

When the school bell rang and kids began to pour out of the school Miranda quickly spotted her son and waved at him.

"Hey mom," Tuck said walking up to his mom and hugging her.

"Hey sweet boy. So I have a...friend I want you to meet. We've been hanging out all day and I didn't have time to go home to get my car so he is taking us home," Miranda explained.

Miranda and Tuck got in the car and Ben turned around to introduce himself.

"Hey Tuck, it nice to finally meet you my name is Ben Warren."

"Nice to meet you too Ben, how long have you and my mom been friends," the 13 year old inquired.

Ben glanced at Miranda before answering, "Not long we actually met in the Bahamas, we were neighbors," Ben answered honestly.

Miranda smiled nervously thinking about just how neighborly they had been.

"Wow that cool and a coincidence that you are from the same place," Tuck exclaimed.

"Yeah it really is," Ben agreed.

"Ummm mom, can we get something to eat before going home? I'm kind of hungry," Tuck asked.

"If Ben doesn't have anything else that he has to do and doesn't mind," Miranda replied looking over at Ben.

"No I don't mind at all Tuck, do you have a place in mind that you want to go," Ben asked.

"No but I want a burger," Tuck replied.

"Okay, I know a great diner that I think has some of the best burgers, we can go there," Ben stated.

Ben drove them to the diner and when they got there he got out and jogged around the car to open Miranda's door.

Tuck stood there and watched him open her door and help her out the car. Then Ben held the door for the both of them. They seated themselves in a booth and a young waitress came over.

"Hi, my name is Macy and I will be your waitress today. What can I get you to drink?"

"I will have a coke," Tuck said.

"I'll take water with lemon," Miranda said.

"And a sprite will do for me," Ben said.

"Alright, be right back with those drinks and to get your order," Macy replied.

"So, Tuck your in the 8th grade right?" Ben inquired.

"Yes, I'm so excited to graduate and go to high school," Tuck exclaimed.

"Tuck is on his 8th grade debate team," Miranda said smiling.

"Wow Tuck so that means your a great speaker and communicator. All great skills to have, do you already know what you want to do for a career when you're older," Ben asked.

"Yeah, I want to be a lawyer, a professor and an activist. I love history, especially black history," Tuck shared.

"Did you know that during slavery, black people who were considered fugitives would escape to Mexico and when the slave masters requested that those helping them turn them in they refused because they didn't believe in slavery?"

"I have heard of that Tuck," Ben smiled widely listening to the teen talk.

"Also when the black people were freed from slavery, white slave owners were given reparations for losing "property", Tuck continued to spout out information.

Macy came back and took their order and when their food arrived Tuck stayed true to what he said about being hungry.

"Slow down Tuck," Miranda said giggling.

"He's a growing boy Miranda, he did say he was hungry," Ben defended him and laughed too.

"Sorry, I didn't each much lunch today and what Ben said," Tuck sputtered as he continued to eat.

Miranda just shock her head as she ate her own food.

The trio continued to sit there and talk Ben absentmindedly put his arm around Miranda's shoulder as he and Tuck talked about sports.

Miranda cleared her throat, sat up and asked for the check. When Macy brought the check Ben quickly pulled out his card and handed it to her.

Miranda gave him a stern look, "I don't care how stern you look at me I'm still paying," Ben said rolling his neck.

Tuck busted out laughing and Miranda turned the look on him making him be quiet. They left the diner and headed back to Miranda's house.

When they arrived Ben got out once again and opened the car door for Miranda and walked them up to the door.

Miranda unlocked the door, "Ben do you have to leave now? Mom it's Friday and we usually watch a movie," Tuck said.

"If your mom is okay with me staying longer." Ben replied looking at Miranda.

"I guess that's fine since it's Friday," Miranda agreed.

"Cool, it has to be sci-fi, action or horror for mom to be interested," Tuck said in a joking but serious manner.

"Which I've already been made aware of Tuck," Ben said laughing.

As they sat on the couch watching a movie Miranda every so often looked at Ben and Tuck who seemed to have hit it off immediately and she was thankful.

Ben did it again, this time he wrapped his arm around her waist as they watched the movie. Miranda looked over at Tuck and he didn't respond so she didn't try to correct Ben for it.

When the movie ended Tuck was asleep, "he always ends up falling asleep before the movie ends," Miranda said smiling at her son.

"Tuck baby, go get in bed," Miranda said rubbing her son's head.

Tuck sat up rubbed his eyes and got up to go to his room. "Goodnight Ben," Tuck said groggily as he walked upstairs.

"Goodnight Tuck," Ben replied.

When Tuck was up in his room, Miranda turned and kissed Ben slow and gently.

"Thank you for today and for getting along so well with Tuck," Miranda said.

"You don't have to thank me Miranda. I'm glad I got to meet him, he is an amazing, smart, brilliant and cool kid. It was my pleasure to hang with you two today. I wish it didn't have to end," Ben confessed.

Miranda looked down as she held his hands. "I wish it didn't have to end either but I don't want us having sleepovers with Tuck here yet," Miranda conveyed.

"And I understand that, even though we know how we feel we can go as slow as you need," Ben said looking into her eyes.

Miranda nodded and stood up walking towards the door and Ben followed. She stood in front of the door and sighed deeply as she looked up at him.

He wrapped his arm around her waist letting his hands rest on her booty.

Miranda touched his face and pulled him towards her and kissed him passionately.

"I know how I feel about you and I don't want to go slow. But just for the sake of my son I need us to go a little slow," Miranda shared.

"Okay," Ben said kissing her lips again before walking out the door.

Miranda leaned against the door and sighed before heading to her bedroom.
