"Report," said Batgirl into her ear piece.
"All clear," responded Robin.
Batgirl nodded. She looked around from her perch on top of the building. The city was quiet tonight. Bruce had predicted as much when he planned his business trip for Wayne Enterprises. He had the criminal activity of Gotham recorded so thoroughly that he could accurately predict which nights would have more criminal incidents. As such, he knew when he could safely leave town and leave Batgirl and the new Robin, Stephanie Brown, in charge.
"Wait, hold up," added Robin, "I think I might have seen something."
"Could you be more specific?" asked Batgirl.
"No," said Robin dryly, "Otherwise I would have been more specific. I'll take a look and let you know."
Batgirl rolled her eyes. This new Robin was taking some getting used to. Considering Batgirl was dating the first one, this was a pretty big shift. Before, Batgirl had been working with her boyfriend. Now, she was working with her little sister.
"Nevermind," said Robin, "False alarm. I must have- Eyipe!"
"Robin!?" exclaimed Batgirl.
"Aw, come on!" shouted Robin on the other end, voice weak and scratchy.
"What!?" cried Batgirl, "What is it!?"
"I'm, uh…" admitted Robin sheepishly, "I'm going to need some help…"
"I'm on my way," affirmed Batgirl, firing her grappling gun and swinging for the alleyway she had sent Robin to patrol.
Batgirl rushed to the alleyway in question. She had been expecting to find Robin surrounded by enemies, or worse already defeated by them. She was instead greeted by a much stranger sight. Robin was the only one in the alleyway, and she was neither standing in plain sight nor lying injured on the ground. Instead she was offering Batgirl a weak smile and half wave, suspended in the air with her back to a fire escape and her feet helplessly dangling back and forth.
"Think you could get me down?" she asked nervously.
"Yeah," said Batgirl as she strolled into the alleyway and looked around, "What… happened exactly?"
"Well for starters my undies are hooked to this fire escape behind me," squeaked Robin, gesturing to the pink boyshorts secured to the railing behind her.
"Harley?" concluded Batgirl.
"Harley," nodded Robin.
Batgirl nodded in response and approached Robin. She hugged the blonde's lower legs and lifted. Robin used the height and leverage to unhook herself, steadying herself against the fire escape to keep from falling over as Batgirl lowered her to the ground. One down, Robin flipped up the back of her tunic and shoved both hands down her tights to fix the wedgie.
"Any idea where she went?" asked Batgirl, trying to politely look away while Robin righted herself.
"Yeah actually," said Robin, readjusting her utility belt and smoothing her tunic, "She escaped right down that manhole cover."
"Into the sewers, huh?" sighed Batigrl, eyeing the manhole in question.
"Yup," sighed Robin dejectedly, "I'm as excited about it as you are."
Mercifully this particular tunnel in the Gotham sewage system wasn't one for waste disposal, but that didn't make wading through the lukewarm muddy water particularly pleasant. Robin and Batgirl both held small flashlights in their hands, using them in conjunction with one another to maximize their coverage while checking for anything unusual.
"There!" identified Batgirl, pointing to a door on the wall.
The rust on the iron surrounding the door was almost nauseating, though the door itself looked clean and new. Batgirl approached and examined the door handle and accompanying lock. It was a standard model that Batgirl recognized. She knelt beside the door and took her lock picking kit out of her utility belt.
"Careful," whispered Robin as Batgirl finished and slowly opened the door.
The corridor beyond the door was dark. Batgirl turned off her flashlight and signalled to Robin to do the same. Their masks were outfitted with Wayne tech that allowed for a crude night vision mode. It wasn't as effective as an actual light, but much more subtle. Batgirl quickly slinked inside, followed by Robin. The two crept their way forward.
Soon they were in an open room. Batgirl looked around, trying to get a feel for what sort of room it was. It appeared to be mostly empty, with a staircase at the end leading up to a second floor and a doorway. Batgirl slowly made her way toward the stairs, but stopped when she noticed something.
There was a distinct line on the floor. Upon further inspection it appeared to be a large square, encompassing the center third of the room. The coloration on the interior differed from the rest of the floor. Batgirl stood, toe at the edge of the line, staring down as it as she wondered what it meant.
Robin, looking up at the stairway instead of directly in front of her, bumped into Batgirl from behind by accident. Both grunted as Batgirl stumbled forward. As soon as the heroine's boot came down on the floor on the interior of the square, she felt a pain shoot up her leg race erratically through her body. Batgirl screamed as the sound of crackling electricity denoted how painful the experience was. The entire room lit up, revealing itself to be a brightly colored room with red and yellow patterns across all the ceiling and large, multi-colored boxes lining the walls. Four turrets emerged from four different parts of the room and pointed at Batgirl and Robin.
Batgirl's muscles twitched as the electrification stopped. Her orange hair was a static induced mess and she was still getting shivers. She turned around and glared at Robin. The plucky heroine offered a shrug and an awkward smile. Then the ladies heard the sound of the turrets loading.
Batgirl and Robin dove in opposite directions as the four turrets began to rapid fire. Batigrl was relieved to see bright blue paint splatters where the shots landed, confirming that these weapons were basically suped up paintball guns. Painful, but nonlethal.
Batgirl dove past the gunfire to the side of one of the turrets. She looked down into the hole in the ground from which the gun had emerged. Sure enough, there were a lot of important looking wires down there. Batgirl drew a batarang and stabbed it into the wires, tearing away and releasing sparks as the mechanics powered down.
Meanwhile, Robin had sprinted to the boxes in the corner of the room in hopes of finding cover. She managed to roll behind one of the crates, narrowly dodging a spray of paintballs that coated the wall of the crate in blue.
Robin sighed with relief before taking a look around. She had nestled herself in a small crowd of the boxes. Now safe from the gunfire, Robin stood up and began looking at each of the crates individually. They appeared to be made of some sort of metal. There was no telling what was inside or how to open-
The moment Robin's hand brushed the top of the last box, the top flung up and back. Robin squealed and stepped back as an enormous accordion-like clown doll rose high out of the box, nearly giving Robin a heart attack before the figure bent down and descended on the heroine. Robin gasped in disbelief as the clown went past her head and down her back, then pulled up her tunic and grabbed her boyshorts. Just as Robin realized what was happening, the clown reeled back into the air and took Robin's undies along with it. Robin let out another squeal as the boyshorts raced quickly up into her butt, cutting as it pulled tighter. The clown pulled the white waistband and pink fabric down over Robin's eyes as it dropped back into the box.
Robin clenched her teeth from the sharp pain of her underpants cutting into her butt while simultaneously bending her head back. She found her legs buckling and arms tensing as her back strained from the pressure. She reached up to pull herself free, but found it too tight. She began walking around to ease the pressure as she tried to slip the waistband off.
Robin, sight obscured by the atomic wedgie, managed to waddle out from her cover and into the turrets' line of fire. Batgirl gasped just before all three remaining turrets unloaded, pelting Robin with painful shots from every direction and coating her in the bright blue paint. Robin yelped and cried out as each shot hit, worsening the wedgie with her body's natural flinching in response to the assault.
"You've got to be kidding me," groaned Batgirl quietly.
Batgirl quickly rushed out from behind the deactivated turret and sprinted for another one. She made short work of it the same way, cutting out the wiring with a batarang. She repeated this with the final two turrets. When she turned to Robin, she saw the poor girl still stumbling about with her underpants over her face. Her costume, skin, hair, and underwear were all soaked in splotches of blue paint.
After a moment of reprieve, Robin forced the waistband off of her forehead. The elastic snapped off into a slump of fabric hanging out of the back of her tights. Robin looked away in embarrassment as she shoved both hands down her pants and meticulously removed the boyshorts from her insides. She was about to shove the stretched out panties back into her pants, but was interrupted by the sudden sound of air being released.
Batgirl quickly pulled a small gas mask out from her utility belt. It was a WayneTech prototype, being small enough to just barely cover the mouth but still effectively filtering toxins out. She looked over in horror when she saw Robin didn't have one of her own.
"Mine's broken!" explained Robin fearfully, "I was going to fix it tonight!"
Batgirl looked up. There was a slight pink tint in the air. Soon Batiglr saw that this was a haze that was slowly making its way into the room. Robin snickered. Then she let out a loud chuckle. Then her laughter rang out as loudly as Batgirl had ever heard it.
Giggle Gas… realized Batgirl.
The Joker had created an infamous poison with the unique effect of causing its victims to die in uncontrollable fits of laughter called Joker Venom. Word had gotten out that Harley and Ivy had altered the compound to create a nonlethal version known as Giggle Gas. It's trademark pink coloration gave it away. This would hurt, but Robin would live. They just had to get out of here.
Robin had fully doubled over now, clutching her sides as she let out a nonstop cackle of uncontrollable laughs. Then her knees buckled and she collapsed onto her side. Batgirl gritted her teeth in frustration. Robin wouldn't be able to get out of here on her own.
Batgirl rushed over to Robin and helped her to feet. Her laughs were accompanied by her eyes visibly tearing up now. Batgirl walked briskly to the stairs while keeping a firm arm around Robin's shoulder to guide her. Robin was able to control her body enough to move along with Batgirl, avoiding holding her back too much. Soon they were on their way up the stairs together.
Good, thought Batgirl, Giggle Gas doesn't stay in the system long. Once we're in the next room Robin should be-
Batgirl's next step failed to gain traction as the step fell away beneath her. She gasped as she felt the lurch in her stomach as the two heroines began their plummet. The stairs had completely fallen away, leaving a deep pit in their wake as the pieces fell into the darkness. Batgirl and the cackling Robin were now both in freefall.
Batgirl drew her grappling gun and fired it at the first light she saw above them. She turned and saw Robin drifting away as they fell separately, still laughing. Batgirl made a grab at Robin but missed. The blonde's body somersaulted backward, a particularly absurd sight with the stretched out underwear still trailing behind her.
Batgirl heard the click! of her grappling hook catching something. She had less than a second to catch Robin. Batgirl reached and grabbed for the bottom of Robin's tunic. Instead she managed to grab a fistful of the stretched out underwear. Batgirl's eyes widened in guilt as she realized what this meant for Robin.
Batgirl's fall sharply lost momentum as the grappling cord tightened. Robin's fall rocketed past Batgirl when this happened, only to be abruptly halted with the full velocity condensed into a single wedgie. Robin's laughter ceased immediately as her jaw clenched tight in pain. Her already watering eyes teared up, pained by the cotton deep inside her.
"Sorry…" offered Batgirl, arms outstretched as she held her grappling gun in one hand and Robin's undies in the other.
"It's…" managed Robin in a weak, squeaky voice, "...okay."
"At least the Giggle Gas seems to be out of your system!"
"Unh…"
Batgirl retracted her grappling gun and rose up to the doorway where the top of the stairway had been, her grappling hook having latched on the corner of the arch. Batgirl climbed up over the ledge and hoisted Robin's underwear up with her, only releasing her grip when Robin had a solid grasp on the ledge herself. Both women crawled up and into the next room, where both collapsed to catch their breath.
Robin, lying face first on the ground, lazily shoved one hand into her pants and roughly plucked the wedgie. After another few seconds they got to their feet and Robin finished readjusting her pants and undies.
"You alright?" asked Batgirl.
"Just assume that's going to be a blanket 'no' for the rest of the night," grumbled Robin, "I feel like I've been split in half. Let's keep moving."
Batgirl shrugged and nodded. The two made their way down the dark corridor. There was no telling what sort of trap was next. Batgirl rounded a corner. Robin followed closely behind. They did the same with another corner. Then another. When they rounded the fourth, Robin lost track of Batgirl. Turning around, she quickly realized she was in another hallway entirely.
Is this some sort of maze? wondered Robin.
Robin nearly yelped when a sudden white light filled her vision. An entire segment of wall had fallen, revealing a bright white screen on the other side glaring at her. The white screen soon became a swirl of black and white, spinning in a sort of optical illusion. Robin watched it for a moment before realizing what was happening a moment too late.
Robin's eyes went blank as expression drained from her face. Her arms fell limply to her side and her knees buckled, stopping just short of collapsing. She let out a half-hearted groan, starting to drool.
"Well, well," sang Harley quietly as she walked up to Robin from the side, "Lookie what I found!"
"Who the hell is this?" asked Ivy.
"Beats me," shrugged Harley, "But that's Robin's costume, isn't it? Hard to tell under all that paint…"
"The paintballs were your idea."
"My point is she probably works with Batbrain."
"You're probably right, but how can we know for sure?"
"We could ask her."
Harley and Ivy were both standing side by side. Harley was in her red and black jester jumpsuit while Ivy wore little but leaves and an evergreen colored suit jacket. They were in their main office area for the base. It was about the size of a studio apartment but had been lovingly decorated with vines, red fairy lights, and flowers of varying shades of red. Before the two of them was Robin, still in a drooling trance from before. Her head hung limply to the side as she sat tied to an office chair with a copious amount of vines. Harley and Ivy both stared at Robin for a moment.
"How do we undo that hypnosis?" asked Ivy.
"Beats me," shrugged Harley.
"Seriously!?"
"They didn't come with an instruction manual."
"Did Tetch tell you anything about them?"
"Relax," dismissed Harley, "It's not permanent. We just hafta get her attention. Try making those vines itch."
Ivy nodded and did just that. Robin remained in her trance, the drool slowly making its way onto her shirt.
"No luck," said Ivy.
"I have an idea!" declared Harley, walking behind Robin.
Harley brought both hands up to her mouth and closed her lips around both of her index fingers. It soaked through the fabric of the gloves and then some. Harley pulled both fingers out practically dripping. She shoved them in either of Robin's ears. Robin's eyes flashed to life as she sat up straight and pursed her face in discomfort. Harley cackled in pride. Ivy rolled her eyes, but smiled in spite of herself at Harley's laugh.
"Gross!" cried out Robin, kicking her legs wildly, "Ugh! Nasty! You guys suck! Whoa!"
Robin's kicking had thrust her over. Bound by the vines and unable to brace herself, Robin fell face first onto the linoleum floor with her chair. After a moment she suddenly began shaking, before realizing it was actually an intense itching sensation around her arms and torso. Robin tensed her muscles and squealed as she kicked and struggled in defiance. There was nothing she could do to relieve the overwhelming feeling.
"Oh, come on!" she cried out, "This is cruel and unusual!"
Harley's let out a cackling howl of laughter. Ivy placed a hand on her girlfriend's shoulder to get her attention.
"Enough fooling around," said Ivy, "We still have to worry about Batgirl."
"Nah," dismissed Harley between laughs, "We've got time. That dweeb still has to deal with Glasgow."
I can't believe I lost her… thought Batgirl angrily, I don't think Harley will seriously hurt her, but somehow I feel like I still won't hear the end of it…
Batgirl had escaped the dark corridors and made it into a slightly better lit hallway. This was good. Batgirl wasn't having any luck finding Robin so far, but it looked like she might be getting closer to Harley. That would hopefully lead to Robin shortly thereafter.
Batgirl rushed through a large set of double doors at the end of the hall. She regretted charging through without checking anything, because upon throwing the doors open she was met with an intense splash of ice water directly down on her head. She shrieked and shivered as the freezing liquid swiftly soaked her entire body.
Batgirl stood in shock for a moment, trembling in an uncontrollable fit. Her batsuit was waterproof, but the water had made its way down her shirt and pants. Her bra, socks, and underwear were soaked through and clinging tightly to her body. Her body adjusted pretty quickly, though her toes, tits, and tender bits were still kept unbearably cold with the ice soaked fabric against them. She couldn't believe she had fallen for such an obvious trap.
She took note of the room she was in, pushing away her desperation for warmth as best as she could. It was much larger than the previous rooms with a dome shaped ceiling. The walls, ceiling, and floor were all a checkered yellow and red pattern.
While Batgirl was looking around, she saw a door open on the far wall. A quadruped of some sort emerged. Batgirl quickly noticed that it's movements were extremely sharp and methodical. As the light hit the beast, Batgirl could see it was mechanical. It had a head loosely resembling a hyena, bearing a set of sharp metal teeth.
"Why HELLO there, Batbroad!" greeted Harley's voice from a speaker in the robot, "Allow me to introduce my newest baby: Glasgow!"
"D-d-do I want to know what happened to the live ones?" managed Batgirl through her shivering.
"How dare you!" gasped Harley, "I would never allow any harm to come to my babies! That's why I got Glasgow. It makes this next part much more humane. Glasgow, sick her!"
The mechanical hyena played a recording of barking and charged at Batgirl. Batgirl's body didn't react at first, just shivering again. Then she felt herself kick into high gear as the adrenaline began to pump. Soon she was sprinting, each step sloshing the water in her soaking wet socks. This was an absolute rollercoaster of sensory experience.
Glasgow was gaining ground on Batgirl. She couldn't outrun it. She drew a batarang and whipped it back at the beast, but the weapon rebounded harmlessly off. Fighting wouldn't work either. She needed another escape plan.
Bingo, thought Batgirl.
She saw a large air vent several feet up on the nearby wall. Batgirl redirected herself toward it and drew her grappling gun. She fired it at the grate, piercing the thin metal and ripping it apart as Batgirl yanked it back. The heroine holstered the gun and made a leap for the opening. She clutched on with her fingers, pulling herself up as she walked up the wall for leverage. She was almost inside the fent when she felt an incredible pain in her left buttcheek.
Batgirl yowled out in pain as Glasgow bit down on her behind, jaws tightly clenching the left cheek. The pain remained overwhelming as Batgirl tried to shake the creature loose, but the teeth soon lost their grip on the flesh. Batgirl barely had a moment to sigh with relief before Glasgow's mouth instead grabbed ahold of the seat of her pants. Batgirl gasped as Glasgow pulled, reinforcing her grip on the vent opening to stay up there. The fabric on the pants didn't give way; the material was too strong to be cut by even the sharp teeth. The result was the mechanical hyena sliding the pants down to Batgirl's knees.
"I see London, I see France!" sang Harley's voice from Glasgow's speaker.
"Seriously!?" cried Batgirl indignantly, haphazardly kicking at Glasgow, "That thing has a camera!?"
Batigrl hated that. Her pink briefs weren't the most flattering to begin with, high waisted and on the baggier side. Now they were soaked through and were starting to droop off Batgirl's butt. They looked ridiculous. Harley's laughter indicated that she agreed with that assessment.
Batgirl gritted her teeth as she swung her legs into the wall, knocking Glasgow free and giving her a free moment to clamber up and into the ventilation system. Batgirl scurried down the tunnel and around a corner and began to awkwardly shift around to pull her pants back up before collapsing in relief.
Well, she thought between exhausted breaths, hopefully this leads somewhere useful.
"Ooh, I have an idea!" declared Harley.
"What?" asked Ivy.
"Use your pheromones on her!" said Harley, pointing to Robin.
Robin was currently writhing in the tangle of vines binding her to the office chair lying on the floor. Her eyes were bulging under her mask, twitching and kicking as the itchiness of Ivy's vine irritated her more and more.
"How is that going to help?" asked Ivy.
"I dunno," shrugged Harley, "I just thought it'd be funny. You know, watch her squirm."
"You have a twisted sense of humor."
"Aw, Red! You saw the sweetest things!"
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything, ladies,"quipped Batgirl.
Harley and Ivy both turned to the entrance to the office, where her voice had come from. Neither of them saw anything. A moment later a small explosion went off and blew away part of the wall in the hallway. Ivy nodded to Harley, who grabbed her long mallet and ran toward the commotion. The moment she passed the threshold out of the office, a blast of light and dust signalled the falling of another wall before the ceiling above Harley came down on top of her, burying her.
"Harley!" cried out Ivy.
The vent above the green skinned botanist burst from the ceiling, allowing Batgirl to swing in and deliver a kick to the side of Ivy's head before she knew what was happening. Batgirl landed triumphantly in a crouch before rushing over to Robin's side and drawing a small serrated blade from her utility belt and sawing away at the vines.
"Cool trick," noted Robin, doing her best to hide the amount of discomfort she was in.
It was one Batgirl had gotten pretty good at. She had designed a portable speaker system to remotely record and play her voice at will, utilizing them regularly in her espionage missions. She had also gotten good with WayneTech's construction grade plastic explosive charges. Between the two skill sets, Batgirl had gotten quite adept at supplementing her combat skills with traps.
"God!" groaned Robin, furiously scratching at her arms and torso as the vines fell away, "This sucks!"
"Hey Batbroad!" screamed Harley, "Ya missed one!"
Batgirl swiftly rose to her feet and spun around to see Harley charging back into the office, covered in soot and debris, a chunk of plastic explosive in her hand. Batgirl gasped. One of the charges must have failed to go off. Harley pitched the bomb at Batgirl and Robin like a baseball.
"MOVE!" ordered Batgirl, diving away.
Robin followed the order, leaping away just in time to avoid the explosive's collision with the floor where the two of them had been. The impact against the floor ignited the explosive, creating a blast that sent dust and splinters of wood everywhere as it blew away part of the floor.
The four women all coughed and shielded their faces. Batgirl squinted to see the damage and saw an enormous hole in the center of the room. Then she started to hear the sounds of strained wood from below them.
"Uh-oh," whispered Batgirl.
The sounds of strain were soon accompanied by a series of snaps increasing in frequency and volume before several loud cracks and the complete dissolution of the floor as everyone fell down into the room below, accompanied by the contents of Harley and Ivy's office and the wood and linoleum that had made up the floor. Soon they had all crashed onto the concrete floor of the basement.
Batgirl, Robin, Ivy, and Harley all groaned as they got to their feet. They were in some sort of storage room. Pipes and electronics lined the tops of the walls and boxes of all shapes and sizes were piled throughout the room.
Batgirl was the first one to adjust to her surroundings. She used the opportunity to charge Harley. Harley nimbly cartwheeled away just in time, swiping her hammer from a pile of rubble as she vaulted past it. She finished with a backflip high up into the air and onto one of the boxes, where she rested the hammer on her neck as she smirked down at Batgirl.
"That the best you got, sister?" she taunted.
Batgirl gritted her teeth and ran to a smaller nearby box, quickly pulling herself up and onto it and pursuing Harley as she gleefully skipped away atop the boxes.
Robin was watching this unfold when she noticed that Ivy had walked right up next to her. Robin gasped and tried to back away, but stepped back into a plank of wood and immediately fell onto her butt. Ivy pounced down and pinned her to the ground. Robin winced and turned her head away, wincing in anticipation.
"Maybe Harley's idea wasn't so bad after all," smiled Ivy.
The green woman smiled as her skin began to seep yellow pollen. She slowly sprinkled it down onto Robin, who suppressed a moan as the pheromones entered her system.
"So who's the new girl?" asked Harley casually as Batgirl ran at her, "Got yourselves a new Robin?"
Batgirl threw a punch. Harley ducked under it and swung the hammer, but Batgirl was close enough to grab the handle of the hammer with both hands, wrestling Harley for control of it as they pushed and pulled it back and forth.
"What happened to the old one?" smiled Harley, "Did you two have a lovers' quarrel?"
Batgirl pulled the hammer free from Harley's hands and tossed it aside. Harley made a grab for it, but Batgirl intercepted her with an uppercut to the jaw followed by a punch straight to the face that knocked Harley onto her back. Batgirl got down in front of Harley and pulled her back up by the front of her collar, readying another punch.
"Too bad about Girl Wonder…" smiled Harley weakly.
Batgirl followed Harley's line of sight and saw Ivy standing in front of a motionless Robin. The helpless woman had tensed up in an overwhelming wave of sexual arousal. She was practically trembling on the ground.
This is bad! realized Batgirl, There's no way I can take the two of them at once! I have to help Steph out somehow.
That's when Batgirl noticed that Robin and Ivy were standing directly next to one of the valves on the pipes running along the room's walls. Batgirl recalled her earlier encounter with the building's plumbing and bet on a longshot, releasing Harley and whipping a batarang at the valve.
The batarang struck the valve and knocked it away, releasing a blast of ice cold water. It was the same water that had been used on her earlier when Batgirl entered that arena. Ivy and Robin both shrieked as the pipe hosed them down, knocking both of them onto their side and leaving them coughing in a puddle of water. Robin clutched her shoulders and began to shiver.
"Th-th-thanks a lot!" she yelled out.
"I just saved you!" yelled Batgirl back.
Batgirl let out a grunt of pain as Harley delivered a sidekick straight to her back, sending her flying forward off the crates and onto the floor below. She managed to roll into the landing at the last moment, but Harley rushed up to Batgirl and delivered a rising kick to her stomach while she was still keeled over. Batgirl coughed painfully and gasped for air, only to be kicked over onto her side from another of Harley's blows.
"Crap!" realized Robin, now on her feet again.
She looked over at Ivy, who was still groaning in the puddle of freezing water. It seemed to be affecting her more for some reason. Robin guessed maybe it was drowning or freezing her plant physiology. Robin dismissed it and redirected her focus to helping Batgirl.
Scanning the room for help, Robin saw a large open crate in the corner. Rushing over to it in hopes of finding some sort of weapon, Robin was surprised to see that the crate housed only a mechanical quadruped of some sort. There appeared to be room for two of them, but there was only one inside. Robin rushed over to it and found a control panel on the back of the "neck."
Gotham criminals all bought their weapons and materials from the same couple of dealers. Even the technology was pretty ubiquitous between most of Gotham's rogues. The effect might have differed, but the basic mechanics were the same. Robin had learned as much living with her father, the supervillain Cluemaster. Soon she had made her way into the machine's programming and was getting ready to activate it accordingly.
"Stop right there!" ordered Ivy, rounding the corner and blocking Robin's exit from the crate.
"I'm not going anywhere," smirked Robin, turning the mechanical hyena on.
The machine released the sound of a recorded bark before sprinting out of the crate. Ivy, fearing it would attack her, leapt aside in desperation. However the hyena had no interest in her and continued to chase down the target Robin had programmed it to go after: Harley Quinn.
Harley, who was currently pinning Batgirl to the ground with her foot, looked up in surprise when she heard the beast bounding toward her. She smiled upon seeing the mechanical pet she had so lovingly customized, only to frown when she saw that it was coming straight for her.
Harley screamed and turned around to the crates, where she scrambled to climb up the side. The hyena bounded past Batgirl and caught up to Harley as she was halfway up the crate. The beast leapt up and chomped down onto the jester's butt, dragging her back down by it as Harley wailed even louder.
Harley made another scramble for the top of the crates, hoping to get away from the hyena, but the machine had a vice grip on the seat of her pants. After several attempts, Harley tore away from the jaws, leaving a scrap of red and black fabric hanging in the beast's teeth and a large hole in the seat of Harley's costume now showcasing her white and red heart patterned underwear.
"I see London, I see France," smiled Batgirl smugly.
Harley didn't have the time to retort. She continued with her getaway, sprinting for the exit with her ass hanging out and the robot hyena viciously chasing her down while blasting the barking sound effect.
"Great," sighed Ivy, still dripping wet, "I should go help my girlfriend. I guess you two win this round."
Ivy sprinted off after the machine and Harley, a chase that soon took all three of them out of the base. Robin, still dripping wet herself, walked over to Batgirl as the other heroine finished catching her breath from her fight with Harley.
"Nice one," said Batigrl.
"Th-thanks," managed Robin.
"Don't worry," assured Batgirl as the two began to walk out, "The material Bruce uses for these is super water resistant. You'll be dry by the time we make it back to the batcave."
Batgirl and Robin made their way out of the basement and into the corridors out of the structure. Along the way Robin thought she heard a familiar electric humming. A monitor suddenly swung out of the wall, stopping just short of Batgirl's face before depicting the bright white and black swirl. Robin's instincts kicked in and she whipped a batarang at the screen, successfully shattering the screen before the vision had any effect on her.
"That was close," sighed Robin, "They got me with one of those earlier."
Robin went to continue walking, but quickly noticed that Batgirl wasn't with her. Turning round, Robin saw Batgirl still standing in front of the remains of the monitor, legs buckled, eyes glazed over, and drool beginning to form at the corner of her mouth.
Robin let out a tsk of frustration. Apparently she hadn't been fast enough to spare Batgirl. Maybe being hypnotized earlier gave Robin some sort of immunity to it. Robin walked up and snapped her fingers in front of Batgirl's face a few times, getting no response. Next she tried a light slap to the cheek, but that only caused the heroine to collapse and Robin to have to squat and catch her before she hit the ground. Then Robin remembered how Harley had gotten her out of the trance.
"Sorry, Babs," offered Robin quietly.
Robin shook off one of her gloves and brought her index finger into her mouth, coating it in saliva. She shifted her grip on Batgirl to get her hair out of the way and plunged the spit soaked digit into her mentor's ear.
Batgirls' face went from blank to animated in no time flat. Her glazed over eyes jolted into a cross eyed wince and her drooling mouth had contorted into a frown of disgust. Once the rest of her body writhed in disgust, Robin was sure it had worked.
"What the hell was that!?" demanded Batgirl, shoving Robin to the ground as she got up.
"You were in a trance!" yelled Robin, "It was the only way to- Hey!"
Batgirl pounced on Robin, who was already defenseless on her back. Batgirl managed to force Robin into a headlock with one arm and flip up the back of her tunic with the other, revealing the still stretched out undergarments hanging over the leggings waistband. Robin yelped as Batgirl forced the elastic up and over Robin's head before shoving her onto her side and going on her way.
I'm… Not entirely certain I came out better than Harley and Ivy in this one… thought Robin as she struggled to pull the waistband from her head.
"I think…" managed Harley between gasps and wheezes, "We're safe…"
Harley and Ivy had made it to a back alley, having finally outrun the attention of Harley's second mechanical hyena. Harley looked over her shoulder at the gaudy underwear plainly visible through the hole in her pants.
"I can't believe those dorks actually kicked us out of our place," mumbled Ivy, "We need to step up our game."
"Damn right we do," said Harley angrily, "We need a crew."
