"What are you even talking about? You're trying to kill him. How did you gone mad?" Blackjack shouts as he rushes to get Warfarin off the Doctor. "She lured me here, making me think this was going to be a regular medical checkup. I ain't got any ideas why Warfarin is acting this unladylike," the masked doctor said as he helps himself by pushing the vampire off of him. "Let go of me Blackjack..the blood. His blood is so...special," the medic keenly says as Blackjack wraps two arms around her waist and pulls both of them right into a table. A blood bag falls from the furniture and spills red human liquid on the white floor. The male Sarkaz operator, thinking it's over, turns his head straight up until he felt a small bite on the lower half of his neck. He then heard someone gulp a couple seconds as a small sample size of Blackjack's blood gets taken. Warfarin fell right on top of the former and after a few lip smacks, she feels quite strange. "B-blackjack..what is this blood I just tasted?" The latter asks. "Did you really just drinked some of my blood? Did you actually bite me?" Blackjack talks back, in a frightened way. "Yeah. But this isn't what a real Sarkaz's blood really tastes like however," Warfarin says as she gets up and then presses her left foot onto the chest of Blackjack. "What even is this?! I tasted many different types of blood in the past, so I have recognize each and every type of race in this world. But you and Doctor both tasted really strange. Your blood isn't like anyone else's. Where did you even come fr-" Warfarin suspiciously asks before getting whipped from the back and going unconscious. "Alright Miss Warfarin. Your time is up," Amiya then says as she walks right into the room. She notices the Doctor, who's also unconscious as he hasn't fully rested at all. And after looking at Blackjack rubbing the bite wound, the rabbit girl says to the Sarkaz, "Are you okay Blackjack? If so, thanks for stopping her from further injuring the Doctor." "If you call this fine..then fine, I suppose. But what the hell was that? Was Warfarin ever like this? And why would she attack the Doc just for his blood?" Blackjack questions back as he gets himself up and checks around the place for a first aid kit. Amiya thought for a second and then explained, "Well, there were multiple incidents of when Miss Warfarin would take other operators in sleep and put them right on the operating table over there. She plotted to put sleeping pills and other drugs in one of our mercenaries to do medical research on her. We tried to regulate the vampire's doings and even when she looks disciplined enough, I guess there will always be moments like this happening. I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you on this night." The sound of a cabinet opening and then drawers opening break the silence as Blackjack sighs. "Well, it's not like the military is any better. But I don't think I should get into any specifics," the Sarkaz says. And then, a Perro woman with a whip walks in. "Hey, you should be going to bed by now. I heard that you're new to Rhodes Island, so I expect that you will be willing to learn the rules of this place," she then says in a stern voice. "Oh, also this is Rhodes Island's trainer Dobermann. She was also with us in the operation to rescue the Doctor," Amiya then says, quickly introducing the . "Oh yeah, I saw you in the transport earlier today so I will do as I am instructed. Just let me do my duty and this whole thing will be wrapped up very quickly," Blackjack states about himself being here. "I do hope you'll be able to live up to your words. Now I'll take my leave," Dobermann then says as she excuses herself and goes out the door. And after that, Amiya turns her head back to the Sarkaz and says while picking up Doc, "I'll take the Doctor to his room and you'll..just get rest." When Amiya and the Doctor went out, Blackjack didn't follow them. He instead looks right back to Warfarin, then looks away quickly, and also heads out as well.

The next morning, Blackjack woke up very early, did his morning routine as quickly as possible but in a proper fashion, and immediately hit the training section. This area is colored in red and has a glass wall at the front. Nobody is inside it except for Blackjack. This is great for him. There's nothing to disturb him as he pushes to his limit using the weights. He becomes increasingly focused on trying to increase his endurance, speed, and reaction time. This Sarkaz will use his fullest potential- "I see you're an early bird today," Warfarin says as Blackjack immediately zooms his face towards her, only to tumble down. "I should say the same for you, Miss," the Sarkaz Blackjack replies back. Emitting a small giggle, Warfarin then goes back to her office after having eaten her own breakfast. "God damn it Warfarin," Blackjack says to himself quietly while shaking his head and closing his eyes. "You two certainly got to know each other quickly. You guys friends?" some male voice said behind Blackjack. "Huh?" The latter said, then opened his eyes and darted his head around. An anthropomorphic hyena, or a Rebbah, leans outside the doorway, waiting for a real response. Blackjack raises his left pointer finger at him and asks, "How long have you been standing there for?" "Five seconds. I just overheard your small conversation with the vampire medic too," the Rebbah said back. "We're not exactly friends..it's just we met each other yesterday?" The Sarkaz says, not wanting to get people to start thinking the wrong things about the two. "By the way, are you here to train?" He then asks the hyena. "No. I was actually going to my team's dorm. Just wanted to make small talk, but whatever I guess," the spotted Rebbah operator says, preparing to immediately leave. But then he recognized who Blackjack was yesterday. So he stopped moving, turned his head back to the man who's inside the training room, and said, "Oh wait, you're the new recruit. My name's Spot. I'm a defense specialist. But don't expect any welcome gifts from me just now. You have to get used to this place first." And thus he continued on his way.

Four hours passed, and now it's 10 AM. Standing outside, Blackjack can feel the desert air. The city moves so slow the Sarkaz doesn't feel any motion when stationary. But right next to him is Ansel, the Cactus medic who's leaning right on the glass wall. "Okay, now I'm feeling hungry," Blackjack grumbled to himself as he took a red apple from his pants' left pocket. He was about to pull down his mouth cover until Ansel took it and analyzed it. The medic with the rabbit ears then throws it back to the Sarkaz, who catches it. "Hey, what was that for?" Blackjack exclaims to Ansel. "I just checked the apple, and it's fine to eat. No originium shards," the latter says. "So? Will the sun rays infect me with Oripathy?" The former says before noticing a shy, purple-haired feline girl hiding behind a pillar. "Who's that?" Blackjack points out the catgirl to Ansel. "Oh, that's my team's captain Melantha. She came from Victoria due to her infection, and she's really good at swordplay. So she's the one who commands us. The problem is that she's a bit shy when trying to talk to different people, and I'm one of the only ones closest to her," the Cactus then said. "Oh, so that means break's over. I'm just going to the factories to manufacture some combat records. And I'll leave you two to chat together I suppose," Blackjack then says before his right sleeve gets tugged gently. Feeling that, he turns around and sees this Melantha person right close to him. But after realizing what she was doing, the Feline gets flustered as she lets go and apologizes, "I'm sorry. I had something...in my mind and I thought..no, I apologized." Unsure what to say to her, Blackjack just leaves her. With just the two of them, Melantha turns to Ansel who then says to her, "We should get going."

Meanwhile, Blackjack finally finds a factory with an open slot to fill his name in. He takes out an ID card, slides it through a scanner, and is granted access inside. The factories are painted yellow and have both an assembly line and a furnace. "Okay then, what's the order of the day?" the Sarkaz asks himself as he sees that the requested products are blue combat records. "Also, who's that other person with their name above mine?" Blackjack wonders before he gets surprised by a Perro girl with a ski mask from behind. "Hello, you must be my new work partner. My name is Cardigan! Nice to meet you," she energetically says with glee. "Name's Blackjack. Have you actually made some progress however?" The Sarkaz guy asked about the work. "Oh yeah, I was doing it with Jess. However, she got too bummed out and so she retired to the dormitories. But don't worry, together we'll pick up from when we started," Cardigan answered. "Also, yes. There's six records right there on the black table," the dog girl then points at it as well. "Ah, I see," Blackjack observed impressively. "Fine, it's time to work now," he then says as he rolls up both his sleeves. The smell of rust and melting minerals fill the air of the industrial side of the island. A skill that Cardigan has while working in the factories is some basic organization skills surprisingly. Blackjack on the other hand doesn't actually have a special facility skill just yet. Maybe it's because he isn't too attached to the place just yet. So Amiya was thinking of just putting him in the factory for now. And after a long time of producing combat records, both Blackjack and Cardigan are exhausted. They both head out the door and the Sarkaz immediately bumps into a Sankta, an angel with a halo. "Hey, watch where you're goi-" Blackjack was saying before he was cut off by a Vulpo male with white-haired fox ears saying, "Sorry sir, Adnachiel didn't see you at first." "Steward, I'm fine. I wasn't running at all," the one known as Adnachiel said. "I apologize for the sudden bumping. We were just meeting up with Cardigan and then we'd all go to Melantha and Ansel. So, bye," the Sankta then says as the three of them go together and Blackjack heads to his own place.

Blackjack wasn't able to bring anything other than his Assault Rifle, Handgun, any weapons he found in Chernobog, and of course his Ursus armor and medals. As a new (temporary) operator for Rhodes Island, he switched to some of Rhodes Island's standard outfit and loadout. Tomorrow and the day after, he's to learn different weapons such as bows, crossbows, spears, and even some basic Arts. A reason why Rhodes Island doesn't have a lot of guns, armored IFVs, attack helicopters, jets, and such are because of the world governments not trusting this company. They want to restrict Rhodes Island so that some leaders can continue their reign over the Infected. But Blackjack doesn't have a problem with that. In fact, it's more of a challenge to try to not waste firearm ammo. It's scarce across the world, or so many believed. But a country called Columbia tends to "take in" anyone who's managed to make an otherworldly gun that doesn't need Originium. Maybe that's why this world is unhealthy. Anyways, the room Blackjack has is a very basic one. One bed, one nightstand, a wall mirror, a chair and a white desk, and a laundry basket. Hopefully, once he redeemed enough he could get better furniture. On the desk, underneath the light of a desk lamp is a journal that Blackjack himself wrote. It chronicles his own adventure as a fighter in this world. He might have been a great write-nah. This world has enough authors. It needs more saviors. But, he sat down and turned to the first blank page in the journal. He uses a blue ballpoint pen and writes down the events of today, trying to detail as much as possible without wasting space. For the next two days, he trains using different physical weapons with Doberman and other operators in the base. He interacts with those around him, eventually establishing him as a strong operator. And finally at the sunset of his fourth day, he stands right next to Warfarin looking outside. "Warfarin, it's time to bring the fight to Reunion. Where are we going, Chernobog? I'm ready to kick their ass all day," Blackjack says, confident within his abilities. "No. Orders from Dr. Kal'tsit says to head to Lungmen. We got reports of several infected illegally boarding into the Yen city, some of them could be Reunion since they didn't show any faces," the vampire says. "Is that so? Then today, is the day Reunion sees hell rise just for them," the Sarkaz says, raising his right hand and clenched it to make a fist.

Author's Note: And now we're heading into the second arc of this fanfiction. An update on other things are that the last PMCFL chapter (for awhile) will actually come out next month. As I said, I want to switch all my focus to this story afterwards. Also, did anyone saw that Warfarin will have a beach skin in CN? Guess that means I could do the Siesta side story if I want to. Anyways, bye.
