Explosions ring through the palace as soldiers and servants race to find shelter. Rubble and pieces of elegant stone litter the walkways that snake through the once great fortress.
"Hurry, the second division needs help."
"The princess, the princess is missing!"
"Siebold look out for aggg...!"
A silver blade tinged in red is wrenched from the back of a now prone soldier,
"Pathetic"
The wielder of the blade carelessly wipes the blood on the rim of his cape; turns to join his fellow soldiers outside.
Swinging around, he blocks the blade of another soldier with his own before slashing the man across the chest, kicking him away.
"So brave, yet so wasted. Why not just give up and admit defeat. It won't be long before your kingdom falls to the dark power that our queen wields."
The castle knight narrows his eyes before rushing at the knave.
Blades flash in the low light of the wrecked hallway as neither swordsman backs down.
"You nega scum will be defeated," cries the knight as he manages to catch the dark-suited knave across the face in a lucky swing.
"Gaaaaaa"
Bringing a hand to his mow bloody face, the knave snarls before lunging at the knight.
"You millennium knights think you are so good, huh, well let's see you try to overcome this"
Suddenly the knave pulls what looks like a sizeable glowing cannonball from his side.
His eyes widening in recognition, the knight backs away.
"That's right; you should know what this is," chuckles the knave
"Now, you will perish before the awesome power of the Negaforce!"
The knave hurls the glowing orb at the knight; time seems to slow as the knight realizes that he will not make it out of this battle alive…
'Forgive me, Cadence; it seems we will not see the rings of Saturn after all.'
He closes his eyes, waiting for the inevitable.
"Pyrus!... Wildfire...TSUNAMI!"
"Ventus, Veridian, CYCLONE!"
An arrow, seemingly made of living fire, slams into the orb, causing an explosion that blows both the knight and knave back several feet, landing on their backs.
The knight looks up in time to see a massive ball of blue-white lightning slam into the knave, blasting him back through a wall and ending his existence.
Staring in shock, the knight looks to his left to see two women dressed in formfitting white uniforms with tiny skirts covering their waists. One is dressed in brilliant orange, with scarlet heels adorning her feet. Long raven hair flows to her waist, a golden tiara rests on her forehead, the shining orange gem in the center gleams in the light. The other is built like that of an amazon. Tall and muscular, she is dressed in emerald green, laced boots shield her feet while elbow-length white gloves cover her forearms. Her hair is up in a high ponytail, emerald and white marble-like jewels holding it up.
"Huh, looks like we left him speechless, Pyrus."
"Ugh, be quiet, Ventus; we need to regroup with the others."
Blinking away his shock, the knight stands and faces the two women
"Thank you; you saved my life."
He crosses his arms in front of his chest and bows to them.
"Ehhh, don't worry about it," says the now-known Ventus. "It's what we do."
"Still, Thank you."
"Your welcome," says Pyrus, "Now let's move before…
An earth-shattering explosion rocks the palace, throwing all of them to the floor.
They turn in the sound direction to see a massive wall of light spreading out from the center of the palace…..
"Oh God"
"The Princess and Queen"
"What the hell!"
All three stare in shock and horror as the wave races towards them
They see a figure standing on a pillar near the center of the explosion, a large glaive swinging down in an arc.
Brown eyes jerk open as the newly turned 18-year-old boy blots up in shock. Gasping for breath, he leans forward, hands clenched in his sheets.
'What the heck was that,' he thinks, 'and why does it feel like I had been there before…
