(Sneak Peek…. I AM ALIVE)

The wind and the smell of the ocean filled Sofia with joy as the small ship sailed along the waves. The sound and the spray that would splatter her face with each dip of the bow of the ship.

Cedric had kept his promise to her for a whole day at sea and she was elated, standing on the deck wearing a simple dress with a wide brimmed hat to protect her from the sun, upon the insistence of Cedric. Whom was standing toward the stern bent over the side at risk of emptying the contents of his stomach with every lurch and bounce with the waves.

He groaned and heaved, a servant standing by holding a towel for the seasick King to wipe his mouth when finished. He felt nothing but embarrassment for his situation but also appreciation that Sofia deemed it wise to stay at a distance to give him some privacy, and some dignity in a way.

When he finally heaved his last he stood and held out his hand for the towel to wipe his mouth, the servant taking it back when he was done. With a sigh, Cedric stood straight and inhaled the sea air while smoothing back his hair.

He hated the sea and ships with a passion… But he would endure to make Sofia happy.
