Chapter 4
QUIRK TRAINING AKA hell for you and me in this corrupted world that power above all reigns supreme...
It was now morning.
I had woken up with something drawn on my face. My arm had decided to transform into a tentacle at some point during the night, and I had two- no three girls suspended in the air due to my tentacle holding them up. I think it's pretty easy to tell what happened here.
The people I had captured were Toru, Mina, and Skylah; once again, not really a surprise. It was a surprise though, that by skipping out on going to the mall, Izuku had a run-in with some villain.
The trio hanging suspended in the middle of the air had fallen asleep, snuggling into the tentacle holding them up.
Great, if Mineta saw this he would call me perverted too.
I had Mina in a very...questionable hold and I could feel something soft on top of my extended body part where I guess Toru is.
I gently placed the girls on the ground and shook them awake, after a few moments of profusely apologizing, we all went out to start the day.
So all in all, my day didn't have the best of starts.
The next thing up for us was quirk training. Yippee. Please take note of my amazing fake enthusiasm.
All the other class members had fought with the teachers to see if they had earned the right to have fewer classes here. Skylah and I had missed them so they just let us train normally. From what I could tell everyone was being forced to push their quirks to the limit to force them to grow stronger, more resilient.
Skylah had to harden herself and catch rocks being thrown at her with her extra claws. The thing was, there was absolutely no way for her to catch all of them so her skin had to take many hits, if she faltered even just once, she would get immensely hurt.
My training was...hectic to say the least. I had to make as many tentacles as possible and do a lot of different things. I was stretching some, others moving me around, and a few others throwing rocks at Skylah.
I doubt anyone could even see my body within the mass of moving tentacles that were erupting from my body. I didn't really care about that, I only cared about the weird tingling all over my body.
After several hours, (At least I think, with the tingling feeling coming from everywhere I couldn't keep track of anything) we were stopped. I must have missed a bit of information somewhere along us 'getting a reward'. Of course, the students that had failed the test were taken for extra review, I think we are getting paired up and doing something with the track.
I had the luck to be paired with the trouble magnet himself, the green-haired wander, Izuku Midoryia, the hero given the name Deku.
I'm not going to lie, All Might made a good choice. Anyone with eyes- well eyes that worked- could tell that this boy has some connection to the man, it made them close. I wouldn't be surprised if All might calling him Son, or even Izuku calling the blonde hero Dad by mistake. It's pretty clear that All might sees something in the boy, and I'd like to say I can see it too. Unlike most people, Izuku strives to help people as a hero. He's not in it because he wants or needs money, not for the fame, or the girls. (I mean, he can barely talk to the invisible one, it wouldn't make sense. Well to be fair, she could be naked half the time and we would never know.)
It was dark out after the hours of training and the tingling was still lingering, especially in some... areas (and the fact my night vision should kick in soon). Back to the topic at hand, Izuku is going to go far, and I want to give him the push he needs.
"Well, looks like we are working together now," I say, patting the boy on the back.
He instantly jumped out of his skin at my touch. "Oh! Thank All Might, it's just you." He sighed.
"Who did you expect, a villain here to murder you?" I asked sarcastically.
"N-Not really."
My eyesight suddenly blurred out and seemed to focus after a few moments. Everything around me was strange-looking. Imagine you had a laptop, you turned up the brightness to max and then switched on high contrast mode. It was very similar to that. My eyes were acting like a prism that allows me to see all types of colors. It hurt my eyes to be looking at so many colors but this for basically night vision is a pretty good deal. I'll leave it on for now. The only color that is difficult to see for me is white.
"AAHHHHH!" Izuku screamed, how does he have that much air in his lungs?
Welp...I guess he noticed the change in my eyes.
I failed to mention my eyes, they no longer look close to humans, they look exactly like an octopus, which is probably pretty freaky to someone oblivious to the fact my eyes sometimes did that.
As we were walking, hoping that others didn't jump scare us(so a knock-off five nights a Freddies? What is this, a few hours at pussy's? Nope, never mind that sounds questionable).
As I was about to tell Izuku to slow down, I got a sudden urge to bash someone's skull in. Something wasn't right, my instincts were telling me to squeeze myself into a bottle and hope no one finds me.
"Hey Izuku I think we should-" I was cut off to a massive blow to the head.

Izuku flipped around, noticing the lack of footsteps following him. Looking around wildly for where his comrade had gone, he saw nothing, not even a clue to where he could have gone. He took off in a single direction, hoping to find help along the way.

My eyes shot open as I drink in my surroundings. I was tied up in a tree; fucking great. While I was unconscious I heard a voice in the back of my mind. It might have been one of the pussy cats, what's her name? Mandalay? No- not important right now.
It seems whoever tied me up assumed I wasn't waking up anytime soon. Jokes on them, Octopuses are nocturnal.
Out of all the class, Skylah and I were the only ones that, if this was an attack, they would have to be lucky to have a counter for, so of course, they chose me, 'cause why not?
I strained my eyes to see farther, I could smell something in the distance, something that seemed poisonous, I could smell and see a fire in the distance too.
I held my breath as I pulled a tentacle out of my hand, and braced myself for when I hit the ground. It still hurt like a bitch but all was fine and dandy in the world it seemed as I dusted myself off.
I shifted both of my arms into large tentacles and lifted them into the air. This is the best way for me to use the Octopus's sense of 'smell'.
I chose to avoid the fire and Poison (How? I don't know honestly.), hopefully, the people there closer to the fire can handle that, so I took off in a random direction.
As I was running, I had only one thing on my mind.
Survive.
I wouldn't be able to avenge my parents if I died here. I wouldn't be able to see the kids at the orphanage grow up, or take care of my sister. I had too many things to do, and this was a bump in the road- but not a cliff. There was still a road left for me to ride down, it wasn't like it had vanished.
I slammed into someone as I was running, landing on the ground hard.
I looked up to see a man. He was a fairly tall, pale young man of a slim, somewhat lanky build, and seemed to be in his early twenties. He has black hair, hanging low over his eyes, which are thin, bright turquoise in color, and heavily lidded. He was wearing a darkish blue long coat with white cuffs, he had a white V-necked shirt with white outlines. He looked like a normal man, besides the dark purple burns all across what skin you could see on him.
He seemed surprised to see me, blue flames licked at his fingers, but it wasn't hurting him- he was making them. That fire was so intense, my sea creature body could feel it cooking me just by looking at it.
Before either one of us could move, I lashed both of my used to be my arms at him. Trapping him as I squeezed, then threw him at a tree. After I felt the flames lick where my forearm would have been. After he hit the tree, he seemed to melt like putty.
"Must be the effect of someone else's quirk," I said out loud as I tried to ignore the fact that part of my arm feels like someone tried to turn me into Calamari, even though that's squid.
I continued running in the general direction I was headed when I hit a mountain-like area. Here I could see a small cave, and three figures near it. It was Izuku, Kota, and...HIM!
Standing with a sick, menacing grin on his face was none other than Muscular, Izuku was fighting for his life, but next to Muscular he looked like a tiny shrimp.
I shifted my arms back, but they didn't stay normal for long. I changed each of my fingers as they slowly shifted with the rest of my arm, leaving me with five tentacles in place of my normal two.
I launched my new appendages to grab Izuku and Kota and yank them away. Izuku's arm was already busted and poor Kota was sobbing hysterically.
"Izuku, I'll handle this. Get Kota out of here." I said as calmly as I could. This blonde-haired man, even after I beat him up in prison, still had the nerve to come and attack Izuku. Not only him but Koda too, hadn't he already taken enough from the small boy?
I hate him...
I still felt a rage spike within me but I have never felt a surge of this size. Was it because Izuku seemed hurt? Was it that I was now fighting for Kota as well? Maybe it's both or I'm just a blood-thirsty monster like some had called me. Either way, I'm barely able to think coherently.
As I placed Kota on Izuku's back I called out to him, "See Kota? Not all of us are bad. Not like Izuku. He fights for the right reasons. I fight," I turned to let Muscular not only see but feel; feel the rage in my eyes, "I fight for my own reasons." I shoved Izuku to let him know that he needs to get out of here.
"I guess we keep having run-ins, huh? Maybe instead of sending you to prison, I should send you to hell where you belong." I growled lowly at Muscular.
"You're a pretty cocky kid, I like that. The last time I checked we were pretty even the last time we fought."
"Well this time, You're an escaped criminal. They could write this down as self-defense. Especially after your dead!" I yelled as I rushed at the man, tentacles out. He laughed and shot forward to meet me in the middle.
The clash between the two of us was intense. I was barely holding my ground as he piled more and more muscle onto himself to push against me harder.
I yanked one arm back to lash him across the face and use the other arm of tentacles to wrap around the body of the man.
"Is that the best you can do? With the new little look you have, I was hoping for more." He snarled. My eyes widened as he bursts out of my grip, slamming his fist into my stomach. My whole body was on fire, the spot where his punch had landed going numb for a few moments. Crap, I'm surprised I didn't go flying from that, guess being slimy works for something (hah).
I coughed out a lot of blood onto his arm, hah now he's bloody too.
"Ah. Blood, that's the good stuff. How you feeling kid?" his tone was cocky, as though mocking me when if I remember correctly, last time he had gotten the shit beat out of him.
"G-go to hell. Y-You were on the floor last t-time, remember." I spat, it wasn't a question, he knew I was weakened, but he also knew I wasn't going to go down without a fight.
"Well, it sounds like you want more!" He used his fist to toss my tingling body into the air and punched me square in the back, sending my back into the ground. I didn't even register the pain, I knew for a fact that I was in pain, a lot of it. But with the adrenaline pumping through my veins like an addicting drug, I felt none of it, just the never-ending tingling, my abdomen going numb.
I violently threw up more blood. Am I internally bleeding? What happened? He wasn't strong like this before...a-am I weaker now?
"Are you trying to figure out why this isn't going so well for you?" He leaned down smugly, a menacing grin on his face as his eyes black eyes glowing, like a snake ready to strike at any moment, just playing with his food. "The answer is simple. I let you win because I knew that one day…" He paused, laughing that disgusting laugh, "one day I would get out and crush every single bone in your body, and soak up the face you make as I crush you and your spirits."
I weakly lifted my head to look him in the eyes. "S-s-screw you, you swollen chicken." Spitting some more blood onto his face; it wasn't like he wasn't covered in it already anyways.
Maybe it's time to use it... Now that I'm thinking and acting much clearer now. My anger must have been triggered by something, I can feel it pulsing throughout my very being...at least I can feel that much.
It had taken a while to notice I wasn't mad anymore, all that had decided to stick around was the numbing fear. This is the man that killed your parents...and you're next on the list.
Muscular lifted both hands above his head and gave me a small look filled with pity, at least he was that humane. "Even your parents put up a better fight than this, kid."
He brought his arms down far too quickly to be seen as I closed my eyes.

In the center of the crater, Muscular stood proudly in a massive dust cloud. "Poor kid didn't even leave blood on my hands." He looked down to find nobody on the ground.
"What the hell? I was sure I finished the kid off, haven't I?"
There was a slight shimmer in the air behind the large blonde man. Suddenly the man was forced to his knees by some unseen force that had a strong grip around his neck.
"What- the hell is-this?" He forced out of his lungs
There was another shimmer, this time revealing the dark-haired Jaden, hoisting himself up with another tentacle as he had both of his arms wrapped around Muscular's neck.
"It's just me," Jaden said between large breaths
"Not bad kid but unfortunately I can-"
Another set of tentacles shot out of Jaden's shoulder blades and grabbed Muscular's arms.
"What's that going to do?"
For the first time this whole fight, Jaden grinned. "This."
Jaden's tentacles all yanked themselves forward forcing Muscular onto the ground. "I got to admit kid, you beat me." The man simply chuckled, without a care in the world. As though it was amusing to him that he had been beaten. As though it's enough to just beat him.
"I know I did." Jaden snarls.
He seems like a crazed Psychopath that respects nothing but strength. Jaden thought to himself.
"You said you were going to kill me? Then get it over with."
Jaden seemed to recoil at that. "Do I really have the right to take your life?"
"As long as you have the power to do so, you can do anything you please." Jaden stopped his grinning and any sign of victory. Muscular inwardly smirked, the kid may have guts, but he's not willing to take another's life.
He moved closer to the man on the floor. He leaned in and whispered softly. "I'm sorry but this is something I'll be taking from you." He stood up and jerked his arm back, snapping Muscular's neck and taking his life.
Jaden retracted his tentacles, changed them back into arms, and sat there for a long time. The adrenaline ever-so-slowly leaving his veins, leaving him with a dull, vibrating ache, well, everywhere. After a while he finally convinced himself to stand, his limbs aching at the unwelcome movement. He stood over the thing that could change his life.
"Well no matter what the higher-ups say...This doesn't bring my parents back. I'm no better than he was, am I?" Jaden said solemnly as he sat down and put his head between his knees.
Even if you kill a killer, the number of killers in the world stays the same. Remember those words.
Well damn, every version of me can't get a break. One is suffering from the deaths of two friends and mastering a new power, this one is now a killer, and another will have to be dealing with a person that no one wants to deal with. Please let me know what you think.
