Clara wakes up after a haze of dreams. Dreams about ice cream, the Doctor talking about man-eating plants and confessing his love. Then they made love and it was wonderful. She couldn't remember the last time she had such lucid dreams. Definitely dreams. Maybe her first Doctor would have done that but not this one. She knows he is still the same man, but he became serious and stern, all that time on Trenzalore really took a toll on him. 'Might as well go find the daft old man and see what crazy planet he plans to take me too today.' she thinks.

She tries to slide out of bed only to be pulled back, an arm tightening lightly around her, and a growl. She reaches down, touching a hand on her bare stomach. She feels a ring. 'It wasn't a dream.'

The Doctor says, "Do you often dream of me like this?" She's often wondered if he's telepathic, and she knows she hasn't spoken out loud.

She answers with a question, "Can you read minds?"

The Doctor says, "Yes, I'm a touch telepath, surely I've told you… Hand holding doesn't really trigger it but touching the temples or more intimate areas allows a temporary link to form." She's silent and very aware of her nudity. He kisses her temple. "You've got nothing to be ashamed of, my Clara. You are beautiful." She thinks about the previous night, remembering all that happened.

She turns and faces him, "Did you really mean all the things you said last night?"

He looks at her and says, "I wouldn't have let us get to this point if I didn't mean it."

She smiles, "So what are we doing today, Doctor?"

He says, "I believe I promised you a purple sand beach and man-eating plants, then tonight, there's this restaurant, best lasagne I've ever had on Alcorra, the planet is in perpetual spring as it sits equal distance between two suns. Only place in the universe where the suns actually rotate around a planet. Twin suns that rotate at the same speed never wavering so the planet is in daylight and the same temperature year round." He continues on but Clara realizes something he mentioned earlier.

She says, "Wait a minute, Doctor, are the man-eating plants on the purple sand beach?"

He smiles in an almost evil toothy grin, then says, "With any luck." She giggles.

Clara says, "Can we lay here a bit longer?"

The Doctor says, "If you want." He pulls her closer. Clara didn't think this version of her Doctor would ever just want to cuddle. "Such a human word….cuddle."

Clara says, "Well Mr. Mind Reader, does the Gallifreyans have a better word?" She should know better by now than to ask about his people. She knows he doesn't like talking about them much.

To her surprise the Doctor says, "Well, no, there's not one actually. The Gallifreyans, well mostly the time lords, felt themselves to have evolved beyond such physical interaction. They even used a method called looming to reproduce."

Clara suddenly remembers the lack of protection used, "Doctor can you and I…..can I get pregnant?" She goes into a slight panic mode trying to remember when her last period was. Time passes differently in the TARDIS so it's hard to keep track."

The Doctor does seem to notice the slightly panicked look on her face at first and says, "I'm sure you can, you are within the human age range of reproductive possibility." He looks at her, realising what she meant, "You mean you and I? It's highly unlikely to achieve that naturally with us technically being different species. There's ways to manipulate things if you ever wanted to…"

Clara says, "Not ready for that. I'm happy with the way things are."

After some time they move along with the day. First they go to the TARDIS kitchen and have oatmeal with banana jam on toast and then the Doctor shows Clara her first purple sand beach and some parts of it did indeed have man-eating plants on it. They stayed on the beach until dusk and Clara watched in amazement as the water seemed to glow. The Doctor says, "Happens every night, it's a bioluminescent algae that blooms from dusk till dawn."

Clara says, "Why didn't you tell me?"

He smiles, "So I could see the look of amazement on your face." He leans down and kisses her on the lips. After a moment he says, "Lets go to Alcorra, then see where the old girl will take us next." Clara nods with a smile. The two walk back to the TARDIS in search of new adventures.
