Back with the next installment of Mix-Up! In this chapter: People hide and get caught
Gucci Mane LaFlare: The way I planned some events meant no one really got their keys. Everyone just ended up sucking in the challenge. Most didn't even try.
OmnipotentUI: Scarlett being evil? Who would have guessed! You're right in thinking Scott should brace for it, if he's found out what he's done she wouldn't be too happy!
I do not own any of the characters or ideas presented in this story.
Shorter intro this time, let's begin.
"Previously, on Total Drama Island." Chris began the intro from the dock as he always did. "The campers search for treasure as, yours truly, practiced my acting as captain." Chris was seen in his pirate outfit. "But it wasn't as easy as some thought it out to be. They had to wrestle dangerous animals, fight to survive, or even try to outsmart Chef." as he talked, Eva was shown fighting the Sasquatchanakwa, Tyler was shown in his sickened state, and then Beardo was shown getting Chef out of the kitchen.
"While some risked their lives for a pitiful reward, others decided to try out some good old fashioned pirate thievery on my staff." he sounded irate as Cody and Izzy were seen stealing food from the camera crew.
"With Scarlett pulling in immunity, Beardo took the fall for no reason other than he was really annoying." Several clips popped up at once, showing Beardo making various sounds and annoying others. "Scarlett, however, decided a new look was in order." She was seen dropping her hair.
The camera returned to the dock after the intro-montage. "Who will lose their cool? Who will lose their lunch? Who will lose it all? Stay tuned and find out, right now, on Total, Drama, Island!"
(Intro)
Returning from the intro theme, was a shot of the trailer Eva had won a few challenges ago. As a bird flew by the door swung open, crushing the bird between the trailer wall and the door. Eva emerged and closed the door behind her. The bird looked flattened and slid to the ground.
"Hey." a voice said to her calling her to actually jump back slightly in surprise. She was quick to return to her normal look of dead-faced anger. The camera panned to reveal Topher leaning against a nearby tree.
"What the hell are you doing here?" she asked. Her voice sounded more as if she was trying to scare him away than to get an answer.
"I was just thinking about the game." he looked up to the sky, trying to look relaxed and cool. "And I was thinking about the two of us helping each other out."
Eva approached him and he was quick to back up. "I don't need anyone." she jabbed at his chest. "So you better get out of here and stop creeping on me while I sleep." she accused.
Topher's brows shot up. "Whoa, whoa! Misunderstanding! I just wanted some form of alliance!" he quickly backed off.

Topher - "Honestly? I'm just hoping that there is any chance I can get that trailer once she leaves. That thing must be a paradise compared to the cabins!"

Returning from the static showed Lindsay walking up to the communal washroom. She tried the door and found it locked. "Hello?" she called out.
"Occupied." Sugar's response came from inside.
Lindsay tried the door again. "I have to use the potty." she told her.
A cut to inside showed Sugar doing her makeup in front of the mirrors. "I said occupied." she shouted back in frustration. "The nerve of some people." she muttered to herself.
Outside, Scott walked up the door behind Lindsay. "What's the holdup?"
"Shelly won't let me in." Lindsay told him. "I don't know why, aren't there like, more than one toilet in there?"
Scott rolled his eyes. He tried the door himself. "Come on, I don't have all day!"
"Wait your turn." Sugar shouted from inside.
Scott scowled at the door and began to hit it loudly.
Sugar eventually got annoyed and opened it. "Can't you see I'm busy?" she placed her hands on her hips.
"Can't you see that I don't care." Scott pushed past her.
"Hey! I need some privacy! I have to look good for the show!"
"Yeah, I can tell a lot of effort goes into looking good." he said sarcastically.
Sugar jabbed at his chest. "What are you saying? I'll have you know I'm the prettiest girl on the island! No one else here has even been in a pageant!"
"I couldn't care if you were the prettiest cow in the barn. I'm not waiting to whiz so you can do your hair or whatever."
She gasped at that statement. Her surprise at being insulted quickly changed into anger and she kicked him straight into the gonads.
Scott squealed like a pig and fell over, clutching at his crotch in pain.
"That'll teach you to badmouth me!" Sugar spat at him.

A flash showed the campers standing on the dock in front of Chris. "For today's challenge, we will be doing a good old fashioned game of hide and seek." he began. "You will each have ten minutes to hide before Chef tries to find you. Chef gave the campers an evil grin. "His military experience and advanced degree in manhunting, Chef will make this challenge extra-extra hard to beat."
Chef pulled out a water gun and pumped it.
"If Chef catches you, he will attempt to spray you." Chris continued. "However, if you can avoid the blast and make it to home base, you are safe. Homebase being the lifeguard chair." he pointed to the chair on the dock.
"What, it's just some water?" Tyler mocked. "I could dodge that in my sleep!"
"Oh, I don't think it would be that easy. Chef? Care to demonstrate?" Chris smiled.
Chef returned the smile and gave a few more pumps to the water gun. He then turned towards Chris and launched a massive blast of water at him. The water sprayed everywhere and the force was enough to knock him over and into the water below.
Chris emerged from the lake coughing and spitting. "Dude, not on me!" he seethed. He climbed back onto the dock while the contestants laughed at him. He tried to ignore them as he continued. "There are three ways to win immunity in this challenge. One, don't get caught. Two, make it to home base. And finally three, once eliminated help Chef find another camper. Do any of those and you win invincibility. All clear?"
"Uh," Lindsay began with a finger in the air.
"You got ten minutes to hide." Chris interrupted her and showed off his watch. "Go!" he pointed forward.
Lindsay was still standing confused while everyone ran for it. It took a few seconds before Tyler grabbed her arm. "Come on, let's go!"
A quick flash showed the cabins where Tyler lead Lindsay into one of them. Chris followed behind. Inside Chris saw Tyler crouched beside the door and Lindsay under the covers of one of the beds. "I don't really think this will work." Chris told the two.
"The closer we are to home base the better!" Tyler told the host. "Chef will never suspect us in here!"
"I guess you two are right." Chris shrugged with a grin.
"Sure are, Chris." Chef added.
The two contestants realized whose voice it was. The two hosts began to laugh as both Tyler and Lindsay ran out screaming.
Chris wiped a tear from his eye. "Do you think they will make it?"
"Not a chance." Chef responded in laughter.
A flash-forward showed Cody walking by himself in the woods. Suddenly an arm appeared from behind a tree and pulled him into some bushes nearby.
The arm revealed itself to be Scott's. "We need to talk." he sternly said to the nerd.
"What do you want?" Cody frowned.
"I need you to stay quiet." Scott commanded. "About our old alliance."
"And why should I?" Cody asked.
"Because if you don't we both go home." he pointed out. "We need to come to an agreement not to out the other."
"But it was your idea."
"The others won't see it that way. They'll see two guys who lied to everyone and that need to be booted off."
Cody thought for a second. "So, a vow of secrecy?"
"Sure, whatever you want to call it." Scott just shrugged. He held his hand out. Cody hesitated but reached forward to shake. "You better not go back on this." he added with venom. His grip tightened around Cody's and the boy let out a yelp.
"Wouldn't think of it." he chuckled nervously.
"Good." Scott let go of his hand and walked away.

Scott - He sat with an angry glare and his arms folded. "He'll stay quiet. If he knows what's good for him." he threatened.

Chef began his search in the cabins, double-checking if Tyler and Lindsay had actually left. Once he was done there, he moved to the communal washroom finding it empty as well. His search took him to the mess hall where he found the door slightly ajar. His eyes narrowed as he entered quietly, hoping the squeaking boards wouldn't give him away.
He pumped his water gun and got ready to fire, searching under the tables and in the kitchen. Eventually, he had thought he had checked everywhere when he heard a sneeze above him.
In confusion, Chef looked up to see Izzy holding herself in the rafters in the ceiling. "Oops I guess you heard that." she said softly with a laugh.
Chef stood as shock from her bizarre hiding place went through him. He was still in shock when Izzy let out a battle cry and jumped down, landing on his shoulders.
He snapped back to reality and reached up to grab Izzy but she jumped off before he was able.
She did a flip in the air and landed safely at the door. "It was fun but I gotta go!" she waved before quickly ducking and rolling into the door, just barely dodging a blast of water.
She slammed the door behind her and ran into the woods cackling like a demon. Chef kicked open the door and looked around, unable to see her but still able to hear her.
A quick flash showed Jasmine hiding in a tree she heard something and looked down to see Topher walking past. She began to say something but stopped herself.
Down below, Topher was looking around thinking out loud. "Now, where should I hide." he snapped his fingers and turned the way he came.

Topher - "If I can manage to sneak past Chef when he's leaving the campground to look for the others, I can get to home base and win. I just need to wait it out and hope he gets distracted by someone else."

Another flash showed a set of eyes peering out of a bush. The large blonde pouf of hair sticking out clearly revealed that it was Sugar. She heard a noise and comped her hair down with one of her hands.
Chef approached, walking by. He looked suspicious of his surroundings. Sugar noticed that Izzy was trailing Chef, not too far from him. Chef suddenly turned, expecting to be followed by Izzy was quick enough to jump behind a tree.
Chef raised a brow and scanned the area but continued to walk forward. Izzy continued to follow, mimicking his movements and taunting him silently. He seemed to notice something was off and turned around once more. Izzy dived into the bush that Sugar was already in and the two collided. The force was enough to knock the two out of the bush.
"Hey! Watch it!" Sugar growled as she pushed Izzy off of her. The two turned to see Chef standing above them with his water gun.
"Don't even try to run." Chef warned them as he pumped up the gun.
Izzy laughed. "I'm not going to give up that easily!" she suddenly jumped back and landed on her hands. She then pushed off the ground again, completing the flip and began to run.
Chef fired at her but she managed to jump behind a rock just before the burst hit her.
With Chef distracted by Izzy, Sugar was able to stand up and begin her own escape. Chef noticed and went for the easier target, shooting at Sugar and hitting her back with the water. She fell over and Izzy let out a wild cackle.
Chef turned to see Izzy now crouched down on a tree branch with an insane smile.
He raised the water gun but before he could shoot she was already gone.
"Excuse me." a voice called up from behind him as a finger tapped his shoulder. He turned around in a flash, ready to blast whoever was behind him. Scarlett stood there, now were her hands behind her back. "No need to waste your time. I surrender."
He looked confused but lowered his weapon. With a shrug he reached forward and poked her, confirming her elimination from the challenge.
Chef marched away to search for more contestants leaving the two girls. Sugar began to laugh. "You too scared to hide from Chef? Afraid to get wet? Ha!" she laughed and berated Scarlett.
"I have other plans than to play along in this time-waster of a challenge." Scarlett rolled her eyes.
"Whatever, I'm following the big guy!" Sugar pointed over her shoulder at Chef. "I want to watch some other losers get blasted!"

The scene swapped over to show Cody's hiding spot. He had taken refuge next to a river on the island. There was a small clump of rocks and boulders on one side. He ducked behind them, becoming invisible from most angles.
A scene with Eva at a cave quickly followed. She sat down on a rock and took out her mp3 player.
Another flash showed Lindsay and Tyler running together through the woods. "Alright, I think we are safe." Tyler scanned the area, making sure the two weren't followed.
"Where will we hide? We can't just stand out in the open." Lindsay asked.
Tyler rubbed his chin. "I don't know. Maybe we just find a cave or something."
"Oh! I know! Let's go to the beach!" Lindsay clapped at her idea.
"Umm, Linds we need to hide." Tyler reminded her.
"No, silly! We can hide in the water and enjoy a nice swim!"
Tyler smiled. "I like the sound of that!"
Another flash showed Chef once more hunting. Sugar trailed not too far behind him. "Where do you think they are big guy? Or you just walking around and hoping to get lucky?"
Chef held up a hand to silence her. He then put his hand to his ear and tried to listen for his prey. He heard rustling from above and a leaf fell down next to him. He looked up. Jasmine sat far above the two resting on a tree branch. She had noticed the two and sighed when she saw Chef look at her. "Okay, I'm coming down."
Chef kicked the base of the tree, shaking the entire thing. The branch Jasmine sat on wobbled and she fell from it, hitting multiple more branches on the way down. She landed with a grunt in front of Chef.
"Was that necessary?" she groaned out. She was now covered in scratches from head to toe.
Chef let out a chuckle and tapped her with his foot until she got up. Sugar was outright laughing at her pain. "He did you one good!"
"You got caught too." Jasmine reminded her, cleaning herself from the dirt and leaves.
"Yeah, but it ain't my fault! That crazy girl gave me away!" Sugar claimed.
"You two stay quiet." Chef commanded. He then grinned and pumped his gun. "Or I'll blast you again."
Another flash took Chef and the two eliminated girls outside Eva's trailer. Chef knocked on the door before forcing it open when no one answered. The place looked extremely messy, with things all over the floor. Sugar managed to step inside. "This place is a dump!"
Chef heard something from outside and quickly pushed past Sugar to see the source of the sound. He readied his weapon but saw nothing out of the ordinary.
From nearby, out of view, Izzy sat watching Chef.

The scene returned to Lindsay and Tyler who managed to find themselves at the base of the tallest cliff on the island. They were busy making out on the beach without a care in the world.
Suddenly, it seemed Tyler gained enough willpower to come to his senses. He pulled away from her briefly. "Should we hide? We're kinda out in the open."
"Who cares." Lindsay said while pulling him back into an embrace.
Returning to Chef and the caught girls, Sugar was looking around impatiently. "I hope we find one of my rotten teammates. I would love to see them blasted!" she laughed.
"Why do you hate them so much?" Jasmine asked.
"Isn't it obvious? They voted me out! For no good reason too!"
Jasmine thought back to the challenge that she was previously eliminated in. "Right, no good reason."
"See? You agree with me. That's because you were on the other team! We ain't got no bad blood between us! But that doesn't mean I wouldn't toss you away for the money!" she made sure to clarify.
"Thanks for the heads up. " Jasmine monotoned.

The camera swapped over to the cabins, specifically the boy's one where Scarlett looked around inside. She was currently at Topher's bunk, which was clearly separated from the others from the higher quality sheets he had won in the previous challenge. She looked annoyed that her search yielded nothing. "Curses." she said to herself.
She took a hold of the sheets and took out Scott's whittling knife. "Onto plan B."
Once more with Chef, he had reached a smaller cliff face on the island. He looked up to see Scott leaning over from the top. "How's it going down there." he laughed at them.
"If I point him out does that mean I win immunity?" Sugar whispered to Jasmine.
Jasmine raised a brow in response, annoyed by the stupid question. "No, I don't think it works like that."
"Do you think it's worth a shot?" Sugar asked again. She then turned to Chef. "Hey, there's a guy up there! Did I win?"
Chef rolled his eyes at her comment.
"Come on, old man, what are you waiting for?" Scott goaded the chef. He was met with a blast of water just slightly to his side. He jumped back and hid himself from the cliff's edge. "Nice aim!" he shouted down.
Chef cracked his knuckles and holstered his weapon on his back. He jumped up onto the cliffside and began to climb.
"Wow, he is determined." Sugar stated.
Scott's cocky demeanour quickly shifted into fear. He turned and ran as fast as he could.

Scott - "As my Papi always told me: there's no shame in running from a fight. Especially when that fight means potentially losing a hundred grand!"

The camera swapped over back to Eva who remained sitting in the cave. She heard a noise and took out her earbuds to hear steps coming closer. She prepared to run but stopped herself when she saw it was Scott. "Get out of my cave." Eva snarled. she noticed Scott was out of breath. "What were you running from, a squirrel?"
"Ha, ha, very funny." Scott managed to breathe out. He then grinned before swapping over to a scared look. "I was running from a bear!" he saw Eva didn't look impressed. "Three of them, actually." he added.
Eva raised half of her unibrow.
"It's not safe out there, you better stay here." he told her.
Eva looked like she wasn't going to listen to him no matter what he said. She just put her earbuds back in and continued to listen to music.
Scott stepped out of the cave and into the open. He looked around but couldn't see anything. That didn't stop him from raising his hands into the air, just in case.
Whatever sign of surrender he was trying to show didn't work. A torrential blast of water spewed from the trees, hitting him square in the chest. He flew backwards and hit the side of the cave.
Scott managed to lift himself onto his arms and knees. He was coughing up water as Chef approached him. "What was that for?"
"That was for running." Chef laughed sinisterly.
The boy pointed towards the cave. "In there." he groaned before falling back down in pain.
Sugar and Jasmine watched as the chef entered. Yelling followed quickly and the sounds of several blasts of water. The two shared a look of confusion with a hint of fear for what was happening in the cave.
Finally, Chef emerged with a drenched Eva. She stomped out and began to leave. "You want to join us?" Jasmine asked but was met with a pointed glare. "Ok, I guess not."
Scott was hiding to avoid her wrath, luckily for him, she had been too preoccupied with storming back to her trailer to hurt him.
A flash showed the mess-hall back at the main campground. Suddenly, Topher poked out his head from behind the building. He scanned the area looking for any sign of Chef. Once he thought the coast was clear he made a dash for the confessional.
He pressed himself against it and took another look around. First, checking to see if Chef could see him from where he stood, next checking his goal. He saw the dock, empty. The chair was open.
He took a deep breath and broke from his cover, prepared to make a mad dash to the dock. However, his run was quickly ended as he ran straight into an outstretched hand. It planted itself into his stomach and he wheezed as he fell over.
He looked up to see Scarlett standing above him with a look of disdain. He frowned at her and stood himself up, dusting off the dirt. "Get out of my way Scarlett, you can't stop me."
She raised a brow and the corner of her lips. "Oh? You don't think I can?"
Topher attempted to sidestep her. "I don't know about you but I've got immunity to win." Scarlett stuck out her arm blocking him again. He frowned and took an extra step to clear her. She responded by grabbing his arm and stopping him in his tracks. "Is this the game you want to play?"
"This isn't a game." Scarlett simply stated. "This is personal."
Topher quickly tried to break himself from her grip, hoping to surprise her. Her reaction didn't change and she sent a sharp chop to his stomach causing him to wheeze and fall over. She then stomped a foot onto his back and grabbed his arms, tieing them behind himself with a rope.
"Hey, let me go!" he cried out. "Untie me!"
She grinned. "I know a certain chef that can help you with that." she laughed to herself. She grabbed him by the foot and began to drag him along the ground away from the dock.
His face was in the dirt and he winced as he was forced along. "Can you at least let me stand up?"
Back with Chef, he reached the largest cliff on the island. He looked at the base, where both Tyler and Lindsay sat making out, unknowing of Chef's presence. He raised his weapon and began to pump it up as a warning. The two didn't hear or seem to care. He just shrugged and blasted the two into the lake.
Lindsay emerged first. "What happened?" she noticed a few bubbles come out of the water and Tyler's arm stuck out. "OMG! Tyler!" she stood up and Tyler was able to get out from underneath her and breathe in air.
"Aw, man." he groaned, upset at his loss.
"You kids never learn." Chef shook his head. "Now, who's next?"
"Me." a voice called out behind him.
The chef glared and turned to see Izzy standing with her hands on her hips. A fiery determination filled her eyes. He looked to his weapon and back to her. He threw it away and entered a fighting stance.
"This will be interesting." Sugar claimed.
"Go, Izzy!" Tyler cheered.
Chef charged at her and she slid underneath him. She slid in the sand until her momentum ceased and she turned around to face Chef. He once more turned to face her as well. He charged again, this time Izzy stood her ground. He reached out to grab her but she deflected his arms.
She sent a quick strike to his side but he blocked it. He returned the favour but was blocked as well. The two began to share blows, each being blocked, being returned, and being blocked again. A few seconds of lightning punches between the two was ended when Izzy suddenly feigned a hit. Chef still went for the block and when he did, Izzy surprised him with a swiping kick.
The kick hit the back of his knee and caused it to buckle allowing Izzy to get a chop into his side. She tried another but he caught it and threw her over himself.
She managed a roll into a hasty land. She looked up to see him charging once more.
She leapt to the side but Chef predicted it, managing to follow with a sudden lurch. She tried to jump backwards but found herself against a boulder.
Chef grinned. He approached, ready to see her surrender.
Izzy only grinned herself. She braced off the rock and kicked off of it, clearing the large man and landing behind him. Before he could react, she made another kick at his legs, this time felling him.
Chef groaned as he hit the sandy dirt. He groaned again when Izzy climbed on top of his back, standing on him as a victor. "Ha, ha! Izzy wins!" she cheered, mimicking fake cheering from others. "Who's next? Who wants to challenge the Izzy!" she began to laugh crazily, frightening the others.
Tyler looked around awkwardly before beginning some real cheering to lighten the mood. He was soon joined by Lindsay. Jasmine noticed and cheered herself. Scott seemed concerned at her laugher and back away.
The cheering was cut short, however, as a sudden blast of water struck Izzy, sending her flying into the rock. She rolled over and landed in the sand, next to Chef.
Everyone turned to see Sugar holding Chef's discarded weapon. She posed with it as one would trying to show off an award. "Well this thing sure is fun!" she began pumping up another shot and everyone backed away from her.

The scene returned to Scarlett dragging Topher through the dirt. "Do you even know where we are going?" he groaned, looking scratched up from their journey.
"No, but we'll find Chef eventually." Scarlett informed him.
"Then why couldn't we just wait at camp?"
"Chef wasn't there and I didn't want to wait. Besides, this little trek of ours seems a lot more fun." she added with a cruel tone.

Continuing with Scarlett and her prisoner, the two ran into Chef who was coming in their direction. Scarlett gestured towards Topher on the ground. "Does this count as; helping find another camper?"
Chef looked down at Topher. "Just tap me out man." the boy groaned.
"Is there anyone left?" Tyler asked.
"I don't know." Lindsay answered truthfully.
Chef narrowed his eyes and held his hand up to shush the others. He moved forward, eventually reaching the river Cody has been hiding at. He sniffed the air and moved towards his old hiding spot He pointed his weapon down between the rocks. Nothing was there. All that remained were imprints in the dirt. He kneeled down and picked a brown hair off the ground.
"Oh, are you trying to track him?" Izzy asked. "I could do it! I'm like half blood-hound! I can sniff someone out from a mile away!" she claimed. She then crouched down like a dog and sniffed the air. "He's thataway!" she pointed off towards the campgrounds.
A realization of his whereabouts came to Chef and he narrowed his gaze. He immediately began to run off.
A flash took Chef back to camp. He was in a full sprint and the first place he looked was home base. He stopped in surprise at what he said.
Cody sat, basking in the chair. "Hey, how's it going?" he simply waved at the chef with a smug smile on his face and a bit of awkwardness.
A few of the campers let out cheers at the underdog's victory in the challenge. Tyler was the most excited to see someone best Chef by making it home and ran over to the lifeguard chair. "Oh yeah!" he cried as he picked Cody up and placed him on his shoulders, making him taller than everyone else on the island. Cody was surprised but remained smug, giving out high-fives to those who wanted them.
Topher was the first to break from the group. "I'm going to go take a shower." he groaned.

A flash-forward showed the campers in the mess hall eating dinner. Izzy was retelling her fight with Chef to Cody and a few others were listening in on it as well. Topher walked in, now clean from his earlier dispute with Scarlett. He sat next to Jasmine with a smile. "Finally clean from all that dirt!" he mostly spoke to himself but Jasmine seemed to hear him.
"What's gotten into you two that she'd do something that bad to you?" Jasmine asked him.
Topher just rolled his eyes. "She obviously thinks it was Sierra and me who messed with her journal which is a lie. She's just upset she got caught."
"You try talking about it?" she proposed. "Try being reasonable?"
He scoffed. "There's no reasoning with her. We know she cheated, who knows what else she'd do.
"That's what I'm saying." Jasmine whispered to him. "After today? I'd try to make amends or try to avoid her for a while."
"That last part, I will do, trust me"
All conversation was interrupted by a loud roar that seemed to shake the entire island. While sounding blood-curdling and animalistic it didn't belong to an animal but instead an extremely enraged Eva. It wasn't long before she burst through the doors of the mess hall. "Who touched my stuff?" she shouted.
Everyone looked between each other trying to see if someone was going to fess up. Eva's eyes fixated on Topher and he noticed instantly. He held up his hands and ducked behind Jasmine. "I swear I didn't do anything!"
"You were there this morning! You were waiting for me to leave!" she stomped over to him.
Jasmine stood up in his defence. "There's no reason to get violent."
"Stay out of this." Eva pointed a finger at her. "This is between me and the scumbag who broke all my things." she cracked her knuckles.
"Are we going to have a problem?" Jasmine stepped back, now angry. "You can't scare me like everyone else around here."
"I said stay out of this." Eva growled at her.
Cody moved over as well. "Eva, what would Noah say in this situation?" he tried to reason with her.
"He'd say something about how I'll kick your ass too if you don't stay out of this!"
Sugar squealed from afar. "Oh, looks like a fight's about to break out, who's your bets on? I'm going for the angry girl." she turned and asked Tyler.
Eva pushed Jasmine to the side and picked up Topher by the shirt collar with one hand. With the other, she prepared to punch him. He used her hands to cover his face. Jasmine looked ready to tackle her to the ground.
They were interrupted by the loudspeaker going off. "Attention all campers, hope you enjoyed dinner! Time for elimination! Everyone down to the elimination ceremony pronto!"
Eva snarled and set him down. "Don't think this is over, you're not going to last another day on this island!" she threatened before marching away.
Topher stood with shaking legs. "Okay, try to make amends with Scarlett." he nodded to Jasmine with a shocked expression.

Another flash finally took the scene to the campfire ceremony. A few uneasy looks were cast on the campers faces, mostly just Topher looking scared for his life.
Chris revealed the tray of marshmallows. "Hello, campers! We got a lot of immunity to give out today! Maybe I made the challenge too easy. Next time will be a lot harder." he laughed. He was met with annoyed reactions.
"Let's start with Cody! Managed to get to home base! not bad." Chris complimented. "After that, we have Scarlett, Sugar, Scott who all get immunity for getting another player out!"
With four of the ten already walking free, the air got a bit heavier. Chris looked over the group. "Anyone got anything to say before we continue?"
Topher looked to want to say something but remained quiet.
"Okay, next up is Jasmine." Chris announced. "After her is Tyler! Can't forget Lindsay!" the couple cheered to still be together and shared a kiss.
Topher cast an uneasy look to the others. Eva eyed back with anger while Izzy didn't seem too concerned about the situation. "Izzy." Chris said.
He lost all of his go-getting attitude and turned serious. "There is only one marshmallow left." Chris made sure to exaggerated. "Only one token of safety and two of you. If you don't get this final treat of immunity, you will walk the dock of shame, you will board the boat of losers, and you will never, ever, ever come back."
He looked between the two with a serious look. He opened his mouth but let the silence hang for a few more seconds.
"Wait!" Topher shouted standing up. "I can't sit in silence without protest!" he claimed dramatically. "I need to let you," he pointed to the camera. And all of you," he gestured around himself to the others. "Know that It wasn't me who committed these acts but her!" he pointed to Scarlett. "
She didn't look to really care.
"Do not let me go home a villain! Be aware of who is really behind the strings here!" he continued her speech. Cody began to shift around awkwardly at his words and looked to Scott who answered silently with a gesture telling him to be quiet.
Topher coughed to clear his voice. "Excuse me, Chris? But I have to do this at least once." he cleared his voice again and stood up, facing the camera. "With the handsome young up and coming star heading out what awaits the other campers? Will Scarlett receive the justice she deserves? Will Chris feel bereft after losing his biggest fan? Find out next time on Total Drama Island!" he announced into the air.
Chris looked back with a shot of annoyance. "First off, you don't get to do my outro. Secondly, sit down and shut up, you're not going home."
He blushed heavily. "Wait, I'm not?" he sat down in embarrassment and relief.
"He's not?" Eva stood up in a rage.
"Nope! Final marshmallow goes to the drama queen." Chris flicked the marshmallow at him.
"What is this bull? How's he not going home?" Eva shouted.
Chris shrugged. "More people voted for you. That's how it works."
"This is clearly bias!" Eva complained. "Just because he's the only guy that actually likes you!"
"Hey, I'll show the votes again." Chris stated. "Not my fault my outro-stealing number one fan got fewer votes."
"This is outrageous! Who voted for me, I want to know." she growled at the others.
Chef moved over and grabbed her, beginning to pull her towards the docks.
"I'm not leaving!" she screamed in anger. "You're all dead!" she then threatened the others. "Wipe the smile off your face, I'm not done with you!" she shouted specifically at a relieved Topher. "Don't think this is over, I'll be back!"
Chris chuckled. "Never, ever, ever!" he repeated his spiel.
She continued shouting into the night until Chef finally drove away.

Confessional
Topher - He sat still for a few seconds before letting out a held breath. "I can't believe I'm still here! I thought for sure they'd send me home after thinking I messed with Eva's things!" he laughed to himself slightly before quickly shaking his head. "I've got a second chance here and I won't mess it up!"

The scene went into the boys' cabin where Cody sat. Scott entered and looked to make sure Topher was absent. "Look, one last discussion about this." he proclaimed. "Did you see what Scarlett did to Topher today? She's crazy! If she finds out it was us who messed with her stuff we'd be toast." Scott explained.
"Yeah, dead quiet." Cody motioned a zipper over his lips. "Not a word."
"Good. For both our sakes."
Topher entered looking exhausted. "This has not been my day." he let out a heavy sigh. He turned to his bed to find it messed up as well. The sheets he had previously won were not torn and cut. He fell to his knees. "Noooooo!" he cried out into the night. The cry carried out throughout the island, scaring some birds in the night as the episode cut out to black.
Let me preface this by saying Eva is an amazing character who is vastly neglected in canon. She only truly survives three episodes and is then regulated to background character. I hope I gave her a fair run here.
So, why her? Will, to be completely honest, Eva was one of the first two finalists I thought up about. The big drop in placement comes from a multitude of ideas. One, I couldn't have her officially win the season as I do eventually plan to do Action and having a justification for that season is harder since she wouldn't want to give up the money. That was mainly only a small part, she was still going to be a finalist. What really tipped the scales was the amount of work to get her there.
She ended up being by herself near the end of her run. While most characters have relationships with others she was just sort of there as a threat to everyone. Being a threat, she had no reason to get that far either unless enough story elements got in the way of her elimination.
For the challenge, a surprisingly amount of people got immunity.
The other thing to discuss is Scarlett's treatment of Topher. This entire plan against him is completely petty and only there because she hates him. Scott and Cody now fear being on the receiving end of that as well.
I hope is little farewell speech fit well. It was his last ditch effort to have Scarlett eliminated since he thought he was going home already too. Might as well take her down with you.
That's my thought process in this chapter. Thanks for reading, review if you'd like.
