AN: So, this came as a brainchild the other day when I was wondering if there was anything like this – HP meets Ark: Survival Evolved. I'm a huge fan of both, and after playing with the idea, and struggling to come up with a reason for Harry to be thrown into this world . . . well, it finally hit me.
AN (2): Okay so clearly I'm back and reworking this story. Most of it will be the same – though likely better written as my writing has only grown in the past 3 years, but I'm also aging everyone down, having come to realize that the age group I did was just too old for my original plans for this story. At this point, the rework will be of the gang being in the beginning of their third year, and as such, many of my creative choices in the growing friendship between Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger should come smoother and easier for me to write. So sit back, and enjoy the ride!
Full Summary (Updated): Harry Potter thought the life of being the Chosen One, and Savior of the wizarding world (all while attempting to survive his first few years at Hogwarts) was hard enough. Especially after last year with the Basilisk, and the new shortly-live moniker 'Heir of Slytherin'. Throw in the fact that Voldemort was still around and he was supposed to have defeated him, and would have to do it again? It had been alluded to that he'd have a power that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named didn't have, and he had NO idea what that would even look like. All of this was just another catalytic point to the spiraling doom that was his life since that fateful Halloween so many years ago. But surely . . . things couldn't get worse. And then they do. Waking up on an island, a strange item implanted into his forearm – glowing as green as his eyes – was scary enough. The loud trumpeting sound from behind him, along with the subtle shaking of the ground wasn't anything compared to turning around and seeing a blast from the past walking past him. A creature straight out of the books in the Non-Fiction section of a Muggle library. With his wand nowhere to be seen, and no idea where he was – or if anyone was there with him, it was easy to see how the fear escalated, and the new decision that NOW his life couldn't get worse was made. And then, again, it did.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, or have any ownership of Ark: Survival Evolved (beyond my own private server of course – that I do "own"). Both the characters of this story, as well as the setting, and all references to either with in these electronic pages are creations of their individual creators, and I take no credit in any forefront. I'd love to say this plot is wholly my own, however, even that I cannot be certain of – as plot lines can be repeated so often by the vast number of fanfiction writers in this world. I do hope that you enjoy the telling of this tale though!
