Setting: Park

(Bettie decided that she wanted to do something for Scottie to repay his kindness towards her.)

(She had baked him some cookies, and began searching around for him.)

(However, she couldn't find him, no matter how hard she tried.)

(No matter how many times she dialled his number on her Poryphone, she received nothing but a dead tone.)

(She decided to try visiting all of his favorite spots on Pasio.)

Setting: Beach

(Bettie decided to ask one of her teammates regarding Scottie's whereabouts. She spotted Dawn nearby, and approached her.)

Dawn: Hello, Bettie! What's going on? Are you lost?

[Choice selection]

⁃ No, but have you seen Scottie?

⁃ No, I'm looking for Scottie

Dawn: Scottie? Who are you talking about? I don't think I've ever met someone with that name on this island.

...What? You say you had invited me for a match against him just recently? A boy in a green hat and vest?

I'm sorry, Bettie, but I really cannot recall anything about this Scottie no matter how hard I try.

(Bettie looked at Dawn disappointedly, and walked off to the next location.)

Setting: Restaurant

(Bettie visited the restaurant, and asked for Siebold. Siebold soon came walking out, and stopped in front of her.)

Siebold: Good day, young miss. How may I help you today?

[Choice selection]

⁃ Have you seen Scottie?

⁃ Do you know where Scottie is?

Siebold: Scottie...? Is this person someone I know?

...You say he is a regular at our restaurant? I do apologize, miss, but I do not have any recollection of a regular that goes by the name of 'Scottie'.

Might you have mistaken him as a patron of a different restaurant, or perhaps you have his name wrong?

(Bettie frowned and shook her head. She sighed and headed to the next location.)

Setting: Mountain

(Bettie saw Silver in the distant, and approached him.)

Silver: Hey, what are you doing here? You looking for me?

[Choice selection]

⁃ Do you know where Scottie went?

⁃ Have you seen Scottie?

Silver: Who? Is that a friend of yours? I don't know anyone called 'Scottie'.

Huh? You say I have met him before in a battle? A boy in a green cap and vest?

Sorry, I seriously can't recall ever having met someone liked that. Are you sure it was me he battled?

(Bettie gazed away sadly, sighed and walked away.)

Setting: Park

(In the end, Bettie couldn't find Scottie anywhere on the island. She began to weep alone on a bench.)

[Choice selection]

⁃ Scottie, where are you?

⁃ Please come back, Scottie…

(Bettie recalled what Scottie has told her before.)

("I am not of your world, and my existence in this world is not permanent.")

("It is possible that I might just disappear from your world one day and never return.")

[Choice selection]

⁃ Why do you have to prove your own words so soon?

⁃ Why does no one remember you, Scottie?

(Tears continued rolling down her cheeks.)

(She glanced at her Poryphone once again, gazing at Scottie's Poryphone number and her unanswered calls.)

(Her screen was soon filled with little droplets of tears.)

[Choice selection]

⁃ We will meet again, right?

⁃ Will I ever see you again?

(Bettie began to recall her happy memories with Scottie. The time she first met Scottie, who arrived on Pasio in a daze, the times he guided and tutored her on ideal battle strategies, and the times he invited her for a meal and drink.)

(She could not stop thinking about what a kind person Scottie was, and how nice he has been to her.)

(Bettie held the bag of cookies firmly in her hands and gazed at them.)

[Choice selection]

⁃ Please come back, Scottie!

⁃ I will definitely be able to pass these to you, right?

(Bettie lifted her head and gazed up at the starry sky, wondering if Scottie was existing in another universe somewhere out there.)

(She shut her eyes as if in prayer, and wished mightily in her heart that her words will reach Scottie, even across another universe.)

[Choice selection]

⁃ Scottie, I miss you!

⁃ Scottie, I want to see you again!

(A large star suddenly twinkled in the sky, as if answering her heartfelt wish. Bettie opened her eyes and gazed at it. Somehow, she had a feeling that her message might have reached Scottie.)

(However, still being half in doubt, Bettie couldn't help but feel a bitter pain in her chest.)

(Filled with mixed emotions, Bettie decided to retreat home, wondering whether she will meet Scottie ever again.)
