(Scottie had asked Bettie to meet him on the beach at night.)
Scottie: Bettie… you came. I've been waiting for you.
Come and take a seat next to me. That's right, over here.
It's so relaxing to sit here on the beach at night, listening to the gentle waves of the oceans and enjoying the cool ocean breeze…
Don't you think that the stars look beautiful tonight? Look at them glimmering so brightly in the sky. It causes us to wonder what other universes there might possibly be out there in the vastness of space, doesn't it?
The moon is beautiful too, isn't it? What a night to be witnessing the full moon on. It's even more beautiful when you get to enjoy a scene like this with a special someone.
(Scottie suddenly turned to face Bettie, his face looking serious.)
Scottie: Bettie, the reason I called you here tonight is because I have decided to confess everything to you.
On the day I first met you, remember that I told you I ended up in your world by accident when I walked through a wormhole, and that I didn't know how to go back?
I did eventually figure out that the reason I ended up here was due to a glitch - or, let's just call it an abnormality, and that I was never meant to be in your world to begin with.
I did tell you that I would be gone as soon as I found out how to go back… but I couldn't bring myself to.
It was because I had met someone special on this island.
However, seeing that my existence here was never meant to be to begin with, I couldn't help but feel pained on what to do if I ever had to leave you behind one day.
That was why I decided to prepare you for the possibility that I might completely disappear one day.
I learnt how to traverse between my version of Pasio and yours by studying the abnormality. However, my life on my version of Pasio is not the only life I lead.
I've mentioned to you the concept of a 'real life' previously… a universe where our lives on Pasio are just a video game. And I mentioned to you about how I've been really busy with work in that life.
I suppose I should finally tell you what kind of job I have been doing. I'm a hacker. It's not exactly the type of job you'd be proud to go around telling others about, so I had to keep it a secret.
The reason I've been so away for so long and been so busy was because… I… had been trying to hack into the servers that host Pokémon Masters EX.
…Ah! To put it simply, I've been trying to access whatever has been allowing our lives on Pasio to take place.
I didn't want the developers to fix the glitch. I wanted to make sure that I can continue remaining in your world for as long as I could. So I did whatever I could to stop that from happening.
Oops! I think I made you confused again. Basically, I didn't want to lose the ability for me to continue visiting your world, so I tried my best to prevent that.
It wasn't easy at all, penetrating into the servers of a major company, and I worked without sleeping for days.
However, my efforts bore fruit. I was finally able to make a breakthrough, and re-programmed the entire thing. I changed it such that we are the only ones who can freely travel between each others' worlds, so that the glitch can continue remaining undetected.
Just as I was about to celebrate my success, I suddenly had an extremely bad feeling about you. Something inside me seemed to be telling me that your life was at stake. Thus, I wasted no time in hurrying to your world to find you.
I followed my instincts, and eventually found you lying in the pit with the help of Solgaleo. When I saw you all limp and helpless like that, I felt like my heart has shattered into a million pieces.
I was so worried that after all of the effort that I had put in… that I'd end up losing you.
Don't you know how anxious I had been as I sat next to you in the Pokémon Center, watching you closely for any signs of life?
Can you imagine how elated I felt when I was finally told by the nurses that you were ready to be discharged? And at the time you finally woke up from your sleep?
I'm telling you all of this, because I want you to know that…
Bettie, I love you! I wanted to do whatever I could for you. I will be your mentor, friend, supporter, or whatever you want me to be!
Will you please… be my girlfriend?

(Scottie leaned towards Bettie, placed a hand behind her head and kissed her on the lips.)

Look up at the sky. Is it just me, or are the stars shining even brighter than before? It is as if every star in the sky is congratulating us on our new relationship.
