In response to a suggestion by a reviewer here is a short story on how Leonard met Penny for the first time. Everything belongs to Chuck Lorre and friends.

Penny and Amy are walking up stairs to apartment 4A after a hard day of work at Caltech. As they reach their floor they noticed that the door of apartment 4B was open.
Penny: "New neighbour?"
Amy: "Evidently."
Penny: "Significant improvement over the old neighbour."
Amy: "Two hundred pound transvestite with a skin condition, yes he is."
Leonard: "Oh, hi!"
Penny: "Hi."
Amy: "Hi."
Penny: "Hi."
Amy: "Hi."
Leonard: "Hi?"
Penny: "We don't mean to interrupt, we live across the hall."
Leonard: "Oh, okay, well, guess I'm your new neighbour, Leonard."
Penny: "I am Penny."
Amy: "And I'm Amy."
Leonard: "Hi."
Amy: "Hi."
Penny: "Hi. Well, uh, oh, welcome to the building."
Penny and Amy enter 4A, a minute later Penny comes out.
Penny "We are about to have a cup of tea. Unpacking is hard work, I am sure that you need a break, would you care to join us?"
Leonard "Thank you Penny, that would be very kind of you."
Penny and Leonard enter 4A.
Amy "Hello again Leonard, would you like a caffeinated hot beverage?"
Leonard "I beg your pardon?"
Penny "Tea or coffee?"
Leonard "Ah, tea would be fine. Tell me, what do you two ladies do for a living?"
Penny "We are scientists, we both work at Caltech. Dr. Penny Walsh, Caltech Physics at your service."
Amy "Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler, Caltech department of neuroscience."
Leonard "Wow, a pair of Beautiful Mind geniuses. I am an actor, but I work at The Cheesecake Factory to pay the bills."
Penny "Welcome, we must try eating at the The Cheesecake Factory some time."
Leonard "Talking of The Cheesecake Factory I need to be there in an hour. Thank you ladies for the hot caffeinated tea and for welcoming me to the building. No doubt I will see you around."
Leonard left apartment 4A and closed the door behind him.
Amy "You're not done with him, are you?"
Penny "Our babies will be smart and beautiful."
