Dr. Light was explaining something to a nonexistent public along with Mega Man, when suddenly both were surprised by an existent group: Light's industrial Robot Masters, Wily's combat Robot Masters, Light and Wily's mining Robot Masters, Shadow Man, Dr. Wily, Proto Man, Roll, Rush, and a Met for some reason. Enker might or might not have been there.

Then they took a group picture to commemorate the boss battles of Mega Man 3, which Mega Man then glued in his personal album.

This... has nothing to do with the plot of this game and I'm honestly not sure of why is here to begin with.

Proto Man entered the room to find Dr. Wily finishing his latest machine.

Proto Man: " 'sup doc."

Wily: "Well, hello Proto Useless. Wanna chicken out of this scheme too?"

Proto Man: "*sigh*... what are you doing this time?"

Wily: "Aaaand... there! Now that I have a time machine that can actually travel to the past, the world is mine!"

Proto Man: "Yeah, sure, why not?"

Wily went inside his machine and put the coordinates.

Wily: "Now I'll erase my first, second and fourth defeat at the hands of Mega Man from existence, be right back."

Proto Man: "That's weirdly specific. Wait! Isn't that the plot of-"

Wily: "Can't hear you, time machine!"

Then Wily vanished instantly. Proto Man shruged and went back to writing his book, "The Fault in Our Cores".

-Later, on Light's lab-

Rock: "I came as fast as I could, is something wrong?"

Light: "It's terrible! Wily is-"

Rock: "Dead!"

Light: "N- No. Why would you think that?"

Rock: "Uhh..."

Light: "Anyway, he has traveled to the past and is messing up the timeline to delete his previous defeats from existence."

Rock: "But isn't that the plot of-... and how did you even find out?"

A purple robot walked it and interrupted the scene.

Time Man: "Look, you can either waste time pointing out the lack of plot in this game or help us finish the time machine to fix this mess."

Rock: "Who... are you?"

Light was confused by this question.

Light: "He's Time Man. From my original line of Robot Masters. You fought him after Wily reprogramed him."

Rock: "Wow, he really is messing with the timeline."

The trio got to work and soon enough they finished the time machine for Mega Man too use. Because of course they can do that.

Light: "Now go, who knows what the present might become if we don't stop Wily right away."

-Meanwhile in Tokyo-

Rollzilla: "Graaaaar!"

-Back to Light's Lab-

Mega Man: "Don't worry, I'll stop Wily and be back in time to go with Chelsea to the school dance."

Light: "Wait, who-"

Mega Man: "Can't hear you, time machine!"

Then Mega Man went back in time to... redo his previous adventures that... Wily erased from time...
